I really liked the maybe little bit old fashioned decoration of this hotel. The room was tidy. When I arrived, at first I was given a key to a room, which was not free! Not nice to know, that someone strange could get a key to my room and take my things. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Free WiFi. It was quite complicated to get it work at first, but the reception staff was very kind and always ready to help. One young man in the reception said that he can speak Finnish, when I first tried to speak Russian. And he really spoke perfect Finnish. But one big minus as well. In the cafe on the cellar level we noticed from our bill, that the prices in the bill are more expensive than in the menu. When we said that to the waiter, the explanation was that it is an old menu! This is not acceptable.

Petrozavodsk is quite a small city so this hotel was close to train and bus station, also the sea and the pier. There were 2 receptionists at the time of our stay, one, a very sweet girl who could speak English perfectly and was super helpful, the other who was unable to speak English and seemed quite hard to communicate with, though with the help of Google Translate I guess she could try to be more welcoming! The property was getting cleaned regularly by nice & kind staff

I stayed in one of the 8 bed dorms. Had this spacious, bright, very comfortable & clean room all to myself for 2 nights. And best of all, way cheaper than the hotel rooms. Sveltlana, the lady on reception, spoke excellent English & was very helpful throughout my stay. Hotel restaurant served good food.

The hotel is located on the shores of Lake Onega, and you can walk around the lake in a few steps, tease the pigeons, feed the birds, and keep a good place to raise your heart. Hotel room facilities are simple, toothpaste toothbrush should be brought, slippers are configured, the quality is really bad, like drinking hot water, remember to bring a water heater, but the room is clean, this is the first priority, hotel catering, try Breakfast, no idea to continue, it is better to go out for food, the hotel front desk service is good, help save luggage, call the car, solve the problem as much as possible, but also say thank you.

The front desk of the hotel is very good in English and the communication is very smooth. The variety was quite rich and the taste was good. However, the next day, due to the early trains, it was too late to eat. The lunch box prepared by the hotel was too simple, which was obviously dragged down compared with other aspects of the hotel. In addition, Ctrip mentioned the train station pick-up problem, I asked the hotel, the hotel is only responsible for sending the train station every night, we have to go to the station early in the morning to take a taxi, but the price is not very expensive, 170 rubles.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and it was extremely good value at a low price. My room was not on the side with a view of the lake, but the room that I had was fine and clean and the bed was comfortable. I have a mobility disability and use a mobility scooter. There is a ramp from the street up to the hotel entrance. The staff went out of their way to be helpful to me. Because of the difficulties of manoeuvring a scooter around the breakfast buffet, they offered to deliver my breakfast to my room at no extra cost. The breakfast buffet included really excellent; as well as hot food there was a large offering of perfectly ripe fruit – peaches, apricots, grapes, strawberries, cherries, pears, etc. Someone from reception also went immediately I came in to open the two fire doors between the reception area and the lift, and then ran up the stairs to open the fire doors at the top. I did not eat in the restaurant but other people at the conference at which I was speaking did eat in the restaurant and said that the food was excellent.

The hotel is nice: clean, quiet. Girls at the reception are nice, try to help. Our room "Bear Deluxe" is wonderful with a stunning view of Lake Onega. But how can you not put the elevator in this hotel? We are very elderly people after a long trip had to drag the suitcases to the third floor, and it never occurred to anyone to help us! Such a detective is not a detail, but a problem that will not allow to recommend the hotel to tourists, especially foreign tourists.

We stayed here one night in a quad room after our visit to Kizhi. We arrived early in the morning, and the receptionist was very welcoming. Since our room was already available, she invited us to check in early at no extra cost. We were also able to buy a tasty and filling breakfast for a very reasonable 200 rubles per per person. The interior has a simple, sleek modern look with a small Karelian gift shop. We stayed in a room with four single beds. It was very clean, had no detectable smells and was reasonably appointed for the price. The building has massively thick walls and the room faced the back yard, so it was very quiet. No tub, but a clean, easy to use shower. Would definitely recommend this place for groups of friends traveling together or families with children. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Front desk staff speak some English.

the rooms offer all the basics that you need as a traveler. Mind you there is no air conditioning, but I guess that most of the year you don't need it. There is a mosquito net in front of the window and the provide you with an electric mosquito repellent device. The doors are not sound proof. The touristic attractions are about 1 km from the hotel. There is a restaurant in the hotel but also one on the corner (Hurma) that is quiet good. Across the street (250 meters to your left) there is a pizzeria with good and cheap pizza but it is the interior is spartan.

A great place!!! Good location in the vicinity of the kremlin, cute-looking from the outside, even better inside. Lobby is arranged with colour photos of early XXth century Vologda (yes, colour - not coloured! Russia knew real colour photographs as early as in 1902!). An old map of Vologda province hanging on the wall by the reception desk. Very friendly staff. Check-in was flawless and swift. No elevators though porter service was readily available. Rooms were spacious, cozy and tidy, furniture was in good condition. There was much more than needed (for a three-star facility) there - bathrobes with the hotel's logo, slippers, three types of towels, disposable toothbrushes, tiny toothpaste tubes, tea and coffee sachets, a kettle, a shoehorn, shoe cleaning napkins and even a toilet air freshener (a rarity in hotels, not only in Russian). The rooms were equipped with bath tubs, by the way, with non-slip bathtub carpets. Water dispensers were available for guests on each flloor. All girls at the reception were not only charming but professional and ready-to-help. They gave us Vologda maps, recommendations as to major sights, provided us with business cards of local guides, told about places to eat and even phoned all the spots we showed interest in (all of them were very good, by the way). On a rainy day big umbrellas with hotel's logo were granted. When we said we needed some of our colthes washed they organized it with vivid pleasure - for ridiculous money! There was a two-year girl among us and they treated her like a princess (small toys, high chair in the breakfast hall, an extra pillow for her in a baby bed in the room, etc.). Breakfast was simple, diverse, tasty and more than sufficient. Some dishes were prepaired at your order "live" - fried eggs, pancakes and syrniki (Russian cottage cheese pancakes). Soundproofing was good though not excellent, madrasses were comfortable. We stayed there for three nights and always had a good night sleep. Housekeeping was also nice. Bravo, Olga & friends! You all are absolutely smashing! Oh, these irresistible Russian ladies! Upon leaving we had a feeling that we were saying goodbye to bosom friends. Strongly recommended!
