Let me start positive, the rooms are spacious and the beds are ok, but although the bed had a sheet and a couple of pillows we had to make the rest of the bed. We then had to make our beds every morning after that. The only times we saw the cleaners was when the staff were having a birthday party. They did come in the room one day when we’re not there and replaced towels and toilet roll I realise this is only a 3 *** but maid service was not good enough and also the two people who look after the bar were not exactly attentive, never asking if we wanted anything or clearing tables unless asked to do so Couple of little things wrong in the rom but once reported to the young girl on reception (Teddie) these were put right unfortunately she left after us only being there 24hours. Breakfast was bland , scrambled eggs, boiled eggs and cold meats, fruit juice and water. Toaster took a while to toast and really needs updating. The so called brand new coffee machine did not get the water hot enough to fuse a tea bag so no tea for breakfast. The pool was freezing although the hotels web site states its heated by solar panels The location of this hotel is perfect for the quietness away from the hustle and bustle, which can be reached by using the small train which runs along the seafront and can be reach by a short walk (4 lev oneway) Loved Bulgaria but would not return to this hotel

We stayed at Hotel Zora in June 18 and we had a really wonderful week. The hotel is spotlessly clean and is lovely and quiet. Tanya and Elka are really lovely and will do anything to help. The breakfast is good and the lamb chops I had one evening were delicious. There is a very steep hill to the hotel and the transfer coach can't traverse it so book a private car transfer rather than the coach, also the hotel lifts stop mid floor so there are still steps to climb; I would not recommend this hotel to anyone with mobility issues but the hill means the hotel just looks out on to forest, hills and with the sea to the right, the perfect place to stay for quietness but with the fun and noise of sunny beach just ten mins away. I can't wait for my next visit there. Wonderful place.

I tell you we were in 'awe' at the wonderful ambience of the building. 'WOW!' Check it out!! Check-In went without a hitch. The pool was very good. The hotel was next to the beach. The staff we met especially the dining room door manager, he's great! They were all excellent. The food? Do you like chicken?? (LOL!). The chef was a nice man. But we thought; "Get in the crowded mayhem to get your food!" (A typical holiday manic pastime! not a hotel gripe!). Plus there were staff organised games for children. (Excellent!!). Give a sneeze and your on the beach, 'wow!' How close is 'that!' So, whats the catch? We were in a room directly above a 'huge,' 24 hours a day, outdoor ventilation fan. THE NOISE!!! Sorry, it 'cannot' be moved! It was a matter of;; "I'm sorry, did you say something?" "Pardon?" (dur'gh, better text each other!). Ever tried to sleep in the equivalent of a Discotech? We asked for another room, but was told there were none. So we walked around, inside and out, and made certain 'secret enquiries,' and found many rooms spare??? Oh dear! Tiny sheets that slid off and were out of the window by morning. Ever heard of fitted sheets? The room was spacious, (positive). Cleaned regularly, (positive), but a bit of a drain smell. Television; (positive). Balcony, (positive). Best be security minded for that one! As 'all' large holiday hotels can be got through from one room to the next over the balconies. Nice smiling, chatty piano player in the evenings! The 'crunch!' was, that the mattress was stinking, brown, heavily urine stained!!? So why do the cleaners not see things, and check when the room is prepared for you?? That was health and safety gone mad! Ever heard of disease? Tried to talk to a manager, but never found him. Tried to explain to low english speaking reception staff. (No luck), So I took pictures, and showed them the 70% old pee stained mattress. "Hey, its military camouflage!" Got it changed 2 days later. 'OH,' and please don't flood their bathroom due to the silly shower curtain wafting out!

This was our third year in “TSB Sunny Victory Apartments" and again we had a great holiday. The hotel has a great location - only 5 min. walk to the beach and the seaside promenade. At the same time it is quiet in the night. Great pools with plenty of sun lounges around them. Pool area is cleaned every evening. The bakery at the entrance works 24/7 and has a great variety of very reasonably priced pastries. We are already booked for next year. From the daily trips we would recommend the waterpark in Sunny Beach and the VIP catamaran cruise.

So we arrived and was welcomed by a bellhop who took us to our apartment. We had a bedroom and living room and the bathroom had a deep bath with shower over and double balcony. The views weren’t great, air conditioning unit and trees hanging over but we weren’t in the room much. My daughter had a pile of 3 mattresses with a quilt sheet and pillow for her bed, she didn’t mind but some might have issue. The pool wasn’t the cleanest but it was swept clean of leaves and always a sun bed despite prats leaving towels then going out for the day! A separate kiddies pool was available. The food was, well it was sustenance and typical of most Bulgarian breakfast services. Most restaurants were cheap and good food, the one just around the corner on the Main Street being an exception.. only went once and didn’t finish the meal. Overall compared to other hotels I’d been to here in Bulgaria I’d go again to Ivana Palace it was worthy of my hard earned money for the week and well placed for the beach and peace and quiet.

We good a really good price for this hotel, always wanted to try the hotel and eventually did this September! We arrived and were greeted by the owner who gave us our room key. We had requested a sea view room but the hotel was full. We got a room at the back of the hotel overlooking the funfair which wasn’t an issue as it closed at 1130pm and we are normally out late at night. The room was comfortable with quiet air conditioning, flat screen tv, small fridge, nice bathroom with shower and a balcony with a table and two chairs. We would recommend it and go back in a heartbeat ! We’ve stayed in numerous hotels in sunny beach and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again

We visited this hotel when it had been open for a month. We picked it because it was 5 star adults only. We had requested a room on a higher level but rejected the room offered on the first floor as our poolside sea view was completely obliterated with a view of the reception roof. All sorted well by the receptionist on duty. Our room was good size, comfortable and with a good bathroom. It was kept spotless during our stay. There were a number of pools that we chose to avoid as they were all cold so we chose to only use the jacuzzi (along with everyone else!) Plenty of sun beds but extremely poor quality, they looked like they had been bought as a job lot from Wilkinsons. They were uncomfortable and we saw a number broke during our stay. Certainly not 5 star beds. The pool bar was so badly placed that you were only able to visit it from one side (or be able to walk on water!) Drinks from the PoolTerrace and was hit and miss with no poolside service at all . Drinks machines invariably not functioning. If you wanted a drink you had to visit the bar in Reception. Very pleasant staff at the main bar. Food choice and quality was poor (for a so called five star hotel) Lunch was a disaster in the a Steakhouse restaurant(I ate pizzas for a fortnight). Absolutely no chef enthusiasm whatsoever. Crystal Restaurant superb (we visited twice) but no real variety but the Mediterranean Restaurant was a disgrace. A long walk and shared with children (albeit in a different area with more uncomfortable seating) All in all we felt that the restaurant staff lacked either enthusiasm or get up and go. We were told indirectly that they apparently were frighted of the clients. This should not have been the case as even during the worst of service from them we made no comment (although chose not to tip). 24 catering was also hit and miss especially during the day . However the “Lounge” was excellent after dinner service at night.. We spoke at length with Valia pointing out our likes and dislikes. We appreciated that it was a new hotel with teething problems and there needed to be a bedding in process. We did feel that service and food improved vastly when he was onsite, staff seemed on the ball but it went straight back when he left. My final moan was the fact that whenever we wanted to sit outside we were drowned in fag smoke. It’s just not fair that al fresco means you have to sit with these selfish people. The hotel needed to recognise that and provide outside no smoking areas. We actually get ill when we are around people smoking and I feel sure we are not the only ones. Final thoughts. Too close to Sunny Beach (a dreadful place) and definitely not five star even though that’s what we paid for. We will not be revisiting.

The hotel boasts an excellent location on the Black Sea. It is within walking distance of the fairground attractions and general nightlife at one end of the strip. This provides the opportunity to have a good nights sleep away from the direct centre of the nightlife yet to be only minutes away from the same on foot. It is fair to say most hotel staff do not speak English or at least not well, and we have found the majority of holiday makers tend to be Russian or Romanian. This should not put British travellers off booking this hotel. There is a plentiful variety of food on offer in the restaurant. Pancakes and syrup in the morning are something we have looked forward to in the morning in particular! Martin is a big hit with popcorn, chips, burgers and sausages etc in the poolside snack bar too. He is warm and friendly and keeps everyone happy. Our room is a generous size with a separate room for us and a sofa bed for the kids in the living room area. They have a television as do we in our room. There is a fridge in the room, a hairdryer and two toilets, the latter being handy with two young children. On the negative side, the shower in the room is a little difficult to fully close to prevent water leaking out. You need to be a little careful in there as a result. Also, the "movie" afternoon for the kids on a Monday wasn't run on time and the hotel were not great at informing people what the issue was and when it would be on. Turning to the entertainment team, Yasia manages the team extremely well. They are all friendly, bright, energetic and speak English well. They not only have activities for children but try and get the adults involved too. This includes, but is not limited to, water polo, darts, table tennis, water aerobics, face painting and plenty of dancing. They operate every day except for Monday. The girls in the entertainment team are equally brilliant at engaging with the clientele. Our children have clung to Yasia and Nastia in particular but love all the team generally too. We would certainly return and hope that Yasia, Nastia and the other girls are here again next year to keep our kids entertained and to equally get us engaged in some of the poolside activity too. Me and my partner stayed here for 7 nights in July. On arrival we were pleasantly greeted by the staff who were friendly throughout our stay. Always asking how our day was and if there was anything we needed. Our room was very spacious with a lovely kitchenette, bathroom, tv, balcony and very comfy beds. The room was cleaned regularly. Only a small amount of sun beds near the pool but this was never a problem as the hotel in general is very quiet. There was never a fight for a sunbed which was perfect! No bar area in the hotel but this wasn’t a problem. The hotel allow you take your own food and drinks near the pool. Plenty of shops near by. Great location. A small walk from flower street (the main strip for bars/restaurant/shops) but not too close to feel like your on the strips door step. All in all, the hotel was perfect. Very relaxing and very welcoming. I would 100% recommend this to anyone. Best hotel I’ve stayed in.

I've been to the royal sun 2 years in a row and I can feel it becoming an annual thing, there's not much to do on the complex there is a snooker table and the pools, there's a small park for the children but everything is walking distance anyway so that wasn't a big bother. the staff were all absolutely amazing they were so welcoming massive shout out to nick, borrow, Stella, Nico and a massive one to Stan the man aka Tommy furry. I've never felt so welcomed when away as I did there, they remembered me from the prior year and asked how I was and how my family members was that wasn't there the second time round and all the locals in the area remembered us too and greeted us with a warm welcome and a big hug. they even started teaching us Bulgarian for the next trip. the food is amazing and reasonable priced, went to Djannys for 7 of us to have a 3 course meal it worked out at £70 in British money, definitely a 5 star restaurant. I will say stay away from the fast food chains because the prices are through the roof, 3 chicken burger meals at 80lev. the royal sun apartments is absolutely amazing i've never been in a friendlier atmosphere and in the future will be looking to buy an apartment here. but I will say there is a peacock or something around the corner which is the loudest thing i've ever heard in my life! came home and for about 2 weeks was still hearing the thing ringing in my ears I thought it followed me home, mentioning it now I can recall the sound perfectly.

We were very pleased with our choice of this little hotel. The place, was spotless, the rooms large with nice balcony. Ours was overlooking the pool, which was pleasant. There are no sea views, some rooms overlook the road. The rooms consist of a spacious bedroom with large comfortable beds, plus a large sitting room with TV, and fridge, two sofas, and a kettle for making drinks. There was almost too much space because the bathroom disproportionaly, was rather small. Ther is a safe available in the rooms to rent. Breakfast was the same each day, with a good selection of hot and cold food, bacon, eggs, beans, sausage, cheeses, cold meats, melon etc., however, personaly I would have liked a better selection of cereals as this is all I would normally eat in the mornings. There was only museli, or some sort of flakes that were more like polystyrene packaging chips than cornflakes. I could have killed for a nice bowl of porridge oats or bran or fibre flakes. Breakfast from 8-10,is by the pool, or just inside if you prefer. There was a bit of a problem with wasps as there are jams and honey on the tables. Don't,get there as late as 9.55 because they are, quite prompt to clear away. They also do food at lunch time, and a pool bar which was open till 8pm. Burgers were nice. The menu is reasonably priced. The staff are not very forward in being friendly, but I think that might be the Bulgarian way, as,we encountered this quite a bit in shops and other places as well. However if you smile at them first they will be friendly back. One of the guys on reception was very smiley and nice and helpful. We had,a lovely stay in Sunny Beach, very relaxing. The beach is very long and can be very busy some days. Sunloungers on the beach are, quite pricey at 9 lev per bed and 9 lev for parasol, overall about £13.50 a day for two beds and brolly. Three wheel electric scooters are rented out everywhere, and can be a menace, and dangerous on both walkways and roads. They also rent them out to children too who are going along at,25+mph on them, they are,an accident waiting to happen, and on the promenade walkway they , just bib and expect you to get out,of their way or mow you down. The old town of Nessebar is lovely and well worth a visit, either by water taxi or by bus, there are lots of lovely old buildings, cobbled, streets, (wear shoes with a good sole), there is a small beach there too.

I didn't personally stay at this hotel however I had family that did. I stayed in a bigger hotel further up the road however I spent most of my time at this hotel. Staff were very very friendly and the owners are lovely. The bar staff are very friendly and a very eager to ensure you have a good time. the pool is small but sufficient for the size of the hotel and there were plenty of sunbeds. This is a very relaxed and chilled hotel. The rooms are a decent size and the showers are big enough. This hotel is a little bit further away from flower street and a lot of the restaurants however it is opposite the bus stop that can take you there for 1.30lv. and it's on the same side of the bus stop that will take you to nessebar. it is also opposite where you can catch the train to sunny beach itself, and it's within a 10-minute walk if that to the beach (the free beach). I can't comment on the food that comes with the half board option however the food you can buy at lunch from the bar car is very tasty and very reasonably priced

Ive been reading some bad reviews, but i would like to assure anyone visiting this hotel, they will find a very welcoming team, very clean hotel! I was in Bulgaria for 2 weeks and although my time there wasn't great, only due to some personal reasons, we will call it!! The staff members, especially at the front desk, really supported me. From the porters, to the kitchen staff, the spa team, the entertainers, the bar staff, and even the cleaners, were all very pleasant. In particular, Robine, and Emma from reception.... these 2 girls are more special than words can say!! Young Alex and Mickeala, the entertainment team, are lovely, just young kids, but they work very hard, to keep everyone happy, and they do a brilliant job!! Plenty of options where the food is concerned, and although I've never been a fan of all that European grub, i found it ok, but i am a Scotsman and i love a square sausage, or some Tatties n Mince, unfortunately there was none there!! Kids and adults have some entertainment every day, so i would recommend the Diamant Residence to anyone and everyone as i will definitely, if im welcome, be returning to this fantastic place!! Thankyou Diamant x

Initially booked a double room at Nessebar Beach Hodel, which is from the same hotel group as Burgas Beach. Due the Covid situation, we were announced that the Nessebar Beach will not be open for the 2020 summer season, and we were redirected with the booking at Burgas Beach hotel at the same price and receiving the same package. We booked a Double Room with sea view and received a Double Room park view. When we talked at the reception desk, they told us that the Nessebar Beach hotel does not actually has a sea view, as the view is blocked by a sand dune and we have to be glad that we received an upgrade from a 3 star to a 4 star hotel. Here is a short list of "all the good" things this "4 star" hotel offers: • 4 elevators badly sincronized for 19 floors (1st floor is actually the reception and lobby and the 2nd floor is the restaurant and bar). Waiting time during meal hours can go up to 30 min when you want to go from 1st floor to your room. The guest are pressing all the buttons - up and down - regardless of where they really want to go and when you tell the staff about this they do nothig. Some elevators have issues and out of a sudden, some floor buttons go red as if you pressed them. • Room cleaning - The bed was clean and we had clean towels. The furniture had dust on it. The towels were changed every day, but the bed sheets and pillow covers were never changed during our stay ( 5 nights ). The dust was growing while the days passed by, as no one was cleaning the furniture. We had to clean the dust from the furniture pices we wanted to use. • Bad bathroom ventilation, or to be more correctly, no ventilation in the bathroom. There was a ventilator mounted on the ceiling but just for design i guess. • 3 bars - one in lobby, which was closed, one on 2nd floor and one at the pool. The 2nd floor bar was open from 15:00 to 23:00, while the pool bar was from 10:00 to 17:00. This means that if you want something to drink before 15:00 you were forced to walk to the bar pool, even if you wanted just to stay in the lobby to enjoy the drink. • Snack bar - between 11:00 till 15:00. This was the first time an All inclusive package a Bulgarian hotel had only 1 snack bar timeframe and it was overlapping with the lunch ( 12:00 to 14:00 ). They only serve sandwiches and hotdogs. The offered icecream from 11:00 to 17:00, but after 2 hours, the icecream was just a cream.

We were looking for a last minute holiday and even though we were apprehensive about booking bravo due to previous reviews we decided to go ahead and book and I am so glad that we did. We arrived early hours , despite this we were welcomed by a friendly man and was very surprised by how big our apartment was, plus it was very clean and The maids visited every day. I didn't matter what time you arrived by the large pool there were always plenty of sunbeds available. The snack bar was stocked with a choice of food and drinks at very reasonable prices. It was only a 5 minute walk into the centre so ideal for people looking for a quieter area of sunny beach to stay. The staff especially the manager were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. If we were to visit Bulgaria again we would not hesitate to stay in the bravo Apartments again.

This review will not be brief, so bear with me. We are a family of 4 so we paid for a family suite, that's a 2 bedroom suite. Pretty clean, too! So far so good. I have to tell you, this is the first time in Bulgaria, nice country, not so nice roads... The room had a mini-fridge, which was empty. No coffee filter, what so ever. As the kind gentleman at the reception explained: the fridge IS supposed to be empty, and...hold for it.....only the premium rooms have coffee filters. I said "OK", called my travel agent and asked about the "premium rooms". They said there were no premium rooms. Hmm... the next morning, I saw my neighbor one floor down, drinking his coffee on the balcony.... It seamed, I got the only non-premium room in the hotel. Next: -Don't try to watch digital tv. It won't work. Only analog channels. Of course, the picture is crappy, but hey...non-premium, right? -Don't try to take a plate with some food, to the chair by the pool. NO! A guy will immediate run after you to get his precious plate back! So for you plate thieves out-there, beware! -Don't even try to get warm food. Oh, did't I tell you? The only time when I was able to get some warm food, was when I literally stood in front of a cook until he put me some fresh made stake on my plate. -Speaking about the food, they'll give you the same thing everyday. -There's only one juice dispenser and only one coffee machine in the restaurant, so you'll have to wait your turn to get some. -Don't try to get dry beach towels. This calls for a more elaborate explanation: you see, the guy who tends to the water slides in the morning, has to change towels in the afternoon. That means one water slide is closed in the afternoon "for maintenance". That's ok so far but, the thing is, you'll have to know the guy's location and, you'll have to be pretty quick, because there is only one towel cart. -OK, I told you about the tv, the cold food, the wet towels, what's next? Ah, remember the premium stuff I was telling you earlier? If you're not a premium guest, whatever that means, you don't have access to the premium pool, next to the main restaurant. You'll just have to pass it by...not a very big deal, but, good to know. On the positive side, the room was cleaned every day. I try to remember something else on the plus side but, I don't. Ok, kidding aside, this is NOT a 4 star hotel. I would NOT stay at this hotel again. Sorry guys, it's not you, it's me!

Six of us stayed, two per room. My room was big, with a balcony, air conditioned, clean with two single beds put together and a sofa bed. The shower head was broken, so had to hold it rather than have it on the wall. On day there was no hot water, but this was fixed within the day. The room was cleaned daily. The rooms my friends had wasn't so good, a lot smaller, slightly cramped and both didn't have a balcony. Pool area was good, clean with a pool bar that was always manned. We ate at the restaurant once, my meal was ok , but two of my friends had chicken kebab, but a few of the pieces of chicken wasn't cooked properly(clearly pink)it was taken back to the kitchen and re-cooked! True to say my friends didn't eat it when it returned. It's a clean hotel, the staff were friendly and a decent place to stay, but remember folks, it's what it says on the tin, 3 star.

We had the best experience in this hotel due too the involvement of one member of the staff who was very king and very professional. For my B-day they prepared cake and I was invited to dinner on the roof to receive my gift. The room was was spacious and we had sea view. Dinner was always with a theme and it was changing every night. Need to say, it was an amazing experience.

Booked via Jet2 so all the transfers etc ran as smooth as clockwork. Check in was efficient rather than warm. We bagged an excellent corner room (facing outwards), very clean as was the hotel communal areas. The hotel is in fact three bolted together so you get the choice of at least 3 pools, 3 bars etc etc. The location is great just 1 minute from the seafront/prom. Now for the issues. The food is fine but the serving area can descend into a bit of a scrum. So if you or your children are less than confident this may be an issue for you. We were fine as I'm from London and used to the cut & thrust. The lunch time snack bar is a real high point with unlimited fresh pizza to die for and ice cream on tap. The evening entertainment was the real fly in the ointment as it was poor so again if this is important to you this may not suit. We simply went out. All in all great value and we will be coming back. Special mention to Dragomir the Jet2 rep on site.

9 nights in the Efir 1 apartments . Loved the space in comparison to a hotel room . Booked a studio and had a lovely big sitting room with kitchen and 4 seater table , fridge ,kettle and toaster and a separate bedroom with lots of storage space .. 1 big balcony and a smaller one to the side . Air conditioning worked a treat and while not in the bedroom we just left the doors open at night . Nice pool bar. Smallish pool but we generally found sunbeds . Total quietness at night with security . Easy access to beach . Bus stop right outside . Would definitely return We stayed in block A

We booked a 2 bedroom apartment and were lucky to get one with a sea view. The a itself was very large which was great compared with are places and can we have stayed in the past. The staff were excellent and helpful at all times. The location right on the beach was excellent. Great place to start which made our holiday all the better.

Ok so here is my comprehensive opinion on the Viand. On entering we were greeted well by the nice lady on the desk and the hotel looks very nice, especially compared to some of the local competition but it's not until you look a little deeper after the first impression that you start to see a little more. As we made our way through the hotel and went up in the lift that looks like it should have belonged in the empire state building in the 1940's which I think gave it character, I notice many of the bulbs were odd colours, some yellow and some white which of course doesn't matter but it shows the care given to the hotel and possibly a lack of proper management. The room was nice but the balcony door seals had perished so if the wind blew it sounded like a wolf was howling on the balcony, then I turned on the tv and found the only English channel and found that every few minutes the ancient tv made a noise not too dissimilar from a wrong answer on an 80's game show but at 300% of the tv volume so you can imagine that between the wolf on the balcony and the 80's game show, falling asleep in front of the tv was unlikely to say the least. After finding that the wi-fi on the 5th floor at least, was broken with intermittent signal only available 1ft from the front door so Netflix was also out, it was also a little strange to book for a couple and have two single beds pushed together with single over sheets and blankets, when either myself or my partner got closer to each other in bed then one of us would sink down the middle so it literally put a barrier between us. I then made myself downstairs for some dinner, in the lift I met a German guy on his last day and he was moaning about how bad the food was, I reserved judgement and continued on... The food look varied and interesting so I filled up on a bit of nearly everything and it tasted nice but the next day I had what I can only describe as explosive diarrhea. It took a couple of days to settle down and after I was a bit more selective, often trying to have toast in a broken toaster, only one side of 2/4 slots worked which was fun for a hotel designed for hundreds of people. Some strange dishes started to appear and dishes were often incorrectly labelled, sprouts labelled cauliflower, chicken hearts and lungs just labelled 'chicken meal' and the best one was chicken stomachs labelled 'pork meal'. My girlfriend being European continued to eat them but being english we do not usually and expect correct labels at least, if I went to a French hotel you wouldn't expect a dish of monkey brains to be labelled 'chicken meal' would you?! Then my girlfriend pointed out that they hadn't peeled the stomach lining which is inedible and apparently that's a ridiculous mistake. I also noticed that the food was mostly cold or at least warm but rarely hot, I never saw any front of house staff taking any temperatures which probably explains my stomach problems and I often saw customers heating there food in the m

We arrived at reception and were checked in by a lovely friendly lady who gave us our keys and a map, we stayed in Cascadas 19. For the remainder of our stay (Mon - Thursday) I found the staff to be friendly enough. Our first impression was Wow! as we walked to the apartment. Unfortunately we were situated right on the end of our block next to a building site that is to be a new block of apartments with the (busy) road behind us. The workmen start at 7. 45 am so the hammering, power tools etc meant we weren't having a lie in! It is also unpleasant to sit on the balcony with a cup of tea watching a builder clearing his throat and hawking up phlegm at 8am. Pros Beautiful, safe, gated complex with keys needed to open and close the gates (very reassuring if you have children) and security staff walking around Immaculate grounds with gorgeous landscaping that is lit up very prettily in the night Stunning clean pools with plenty of sunbeds Supermarkets and bars/restaurants on site that charge the same prices as in Sunny beach so not trying to rip you off Large, modern, comfortable apartment with a fab balcony Lovely soft, clean towels and free toiletries Kettle, toaster, hairdyer, iron, washing machine in room (our iron was broken, we asked at reception and had a new one delivered the next day) 15 min walk from the main strip so you are close enough to walk in but far enough away that the noise etc is not bothersome Cons Noise from builders! Make sure you are placed somewhere other than block 19 or 20 until the new apartment block is finished. No cooking utensils such as a spatula, slotted spoon etc and just one saucepan and one frying pan The hot water is SCALDING, a sign warning of this would be helpful As previously mentioned the sheets don't cover the mattress and there is no mattress protector so you are lying on the bare mattress, not nice! Also you only have one pillow. No mosquito netting, this is the only place we've stayed in Bulgaria that doesn't have a it and I found this very strange. Inattentive staff in the restaurant, we had to go looking for them to order a drink This is a beautiful complex let down by a few stupid things that would make it perfect. They have gone to the trouble of using high class materials, landscaping and lighting everywhere and then fail to provide suitable bed linen and cooking utensils, it makes no sense, in previous reviews the ill fitting sheets have been mentioned numerous times dating back years, the management seem to cut and paste a stock response and then do nothing about the problems highlighted.

Me and my 3 sisters booked a week here, 23-30 September 19. So disappointed in the service, and hearing the mantra "it's the end of the season" over and over again. We had no idea when we booked that these dates would constitute the last week of the season in Bulgaria. The hotel is rated as a 5 star hotel. We rated it as a 3 star hotel at best. We had booked 2 rooms on an all inclusive basis. We also paid an extra £158 for a room with a kitchenette, which we didn't get, as all guests were put into the same block to aid the hotel staff, so we ended up with a coffee machine that pumped out warm water and took 4 attempts to fill 1 cup. The gazebos on both of our balconies were ripped and tatty. The shower was dirty and leaked. The curtains at the windows needed laundering. The huge patio door on one room fell off on the last day, was reported to reception, but maintenance never fixed it. One of the two restaurants closed down on the 25th. This was the a la carte restaurant which we were supposed to be able to use once in a one week stay. "It's the end of the season". The Sports bar also closed down on the 25th, so we only had access to the lobby bar. "It's the end of the season". The buffet restaurant ran out of tea bags most mornings. "It's the end of the season". The buffet restaurant ran out of orange juice some mornings. "It's the end of the season". The lobby bar was running out of spirits, mixers and even Coke. "It's the end of the season". The pool bar was not serving any all inclusive snacks at all. "It's the end of the season". The pool staff stopped supplying mattresses for the sunbeds a few days into the week, so I had to go and get them off the sunbeds on the indoor pool. "It's the end of the season". The heating on the indoor po was turned off early in our stay. "It's the end of the season". On our last day, the buffet restaurant didn't bother opening for lunch or dinner, when we were assured both would be available as we paid 170 Lev to keep one of our rooms until 11pm. We had to go out for lunch, but were promised dinner would be available. I'm sure you can guess that the restaurant was still closed for dinner. I complained, and after 20 minutes, a manager came along while I was on the phone to TUI in the UK. She apologised, and admitted she had forgotten about us. She arranged for a 3 course a la carte menu to be made available for us, if we could wait for a short while. We happily agreed, as Sunny Beach was all but closed down by now, and we would have struggled to find anywhere to eat. I'm sure I don't need to tell you the mantra I was given as to why the restaurant was closed. I argued to the receptionist that it was not the end of the season until the last guest left the hotel. I was given a blank look. Plus points, believe it or not. Comfortable bed and pillows. Towels changed every day, bedding after 3 days. Maid service daily, although a 10 Lev not

From the moment we checked in and were told by the Receptionist "You wont like your room" it immediately set the tone for the whole hotel experience. Firstly they put us into a tiny room right next to the Reception on the ground floor which was very noisey, dirty and dark. We payed extra for a room with a balcony... the balcony was actually inside of the restaurant with a gate anyone could open and come onto your balcony giving no privacy or security. We asked to change rooms but were told no others were available and after an hour of talking to the Receptionist we told the lady we would have a refund and find another hotel (last resort after 6 hours of travelling) and SUDDENLY she found another hotel room which was nicer and had a balcony actually outside. The room still had 2 broken lights, and tv which didnt work and a water heater which made a squeeling noise every few minutes but we just grinned and bared it, after all the hotel was on the cheaper end of the market. What really made us uncomfortable however was the total rudeness of all the staff we encountered. The bar staff constantly turned their backs to us when we approaced the bar. Both me and my partner work in customer service jobs and were dumbfounded by the service we had. Once I poured myself a glass of wine from a tap which you can help yourself from and about 5 flies came out with the liquid. I showed the bar man who said "pour another" very dismissevly and turned his back. The glass in all the elevators was smashed and could easily cut any child who touched it, the food was always stone cold, we were harrassed on the beach right in front of the hotel (by an apparent staff member) for lying on the sand in the "free zone" and were told we owed a man 20 euros. Everything about the holiday was negative, and left us never wanting to return. Overall we both felt very unwelcome from the attitudes of the staff and even the locals. We are a same sex couple which I read other LGBT+ couples online have also felt unwelcome and I feel we were being treated in such a way as we were a gay couple. It saddens me to even have to write this review and this is my first hotel I have ever stayed in where I felt compelled to do so.

everything was great about this hotel. It's a bit upperclassy and we didn't really fit in but all the staff were very accommodating. The rooms are quite big and everything is very clean. The food choice and quality was excellent. The private beach is right in front of the hotel with sun loungers and sunshades included. The beach is nice and sandy and the water warm and clean, can only recommend. The only things was as the hotel does not come cheap they charged quite a bit extra for parking our car. No pool games or organised activities or loud music, which suited us well

He have just returned from the Monte Carlo, harmony suite apartments, at Sunny Beach. We took a 'Hoppa' bus from the airport, which had several drop offs along the way. I must admit, our hotel was definately the most luxurious and we were beaming on arrival. The shower area could do with some tlc, but other than that, the rooms were lovely. I was slightly disappointed that we had a ground floor apartment, which meant our balcony comprised of shrubs and trees, with no view of the beautiful scenery whatsoever. However, this was an issue we could live with. During our stay, there were no issues with finding a sun bed. A substantial amount of the sunbeds, were shaded for the majority of the day, however there is a second pool which was ideal for us sun worshippers. Again, it wasn't an issue. The jacuzzi wasn't working, which was unfortunate, as it was very popular with the kids, as it was warm. There is a sister complex around the corner, with a working jacuzzi, which we used on occasion. We actually preferred this complex, as the pool area isn't shaded and there a small play area for the kids. The majority of residents weren't English (not a problem), so there was no interaction with any of these guests. We would smile and hold doors, but didn't receive any interaction in return. We found this rather strange, but again this isn't a reflection on the apartments and complex. What we did find unacceptable, was the hostility we received from the minority of the staff. One senario in particular, is the reason for the 2 star rating. On the last day, we had to vacate our room by 12, yet our flight wasn't until 11 pm. Our plan was to make the best of our final day, by lounging around the pool. I would have thought there would have been a room where families could shower, or use the toilet. Unfortunately not. There is a spa, however we hadn't used the facilities during our stay, so felt a little uncomfortable/cheeky bobbing in and out at our leisure. From the moment we started to use the toilets, it became clear they didn't want us going in there. The lady at the reception could not speak English, which was not a problem. She would just glare at us...it was very uncomfortable. Whilst I understand the communication barrier, a smile would have sufficed. We were booked in to shower later on, but cancelled this, due to her hostility. It got to the stage, that every time we went to the toilet, the toilet paper had been removed.....bizarre and totally unacceptable! Finally the couple left for the day. I saw them laughing and joking outside, so she quite clearly, purposely tried to make us feel uncomfortable. As the staff rely heavily on tips to increase their wages, I find it totally mind boggling. Needless to say, she received nothing from us. Finally I would like to say what a wonderful security guy (not sure of his name...has a shaved head), works at the front of the building. Always cheerful and happy. An asset to the complex. Couldn't

We stayed on 6th floor over looking pool, also sea view. TBH the room was very nice. Had a kitchen, separate bedroom, was clean, although there were quite a few stains on the furniture and some bad stains on the net curtains, and curtains which were hanging off in places. The bed was large and very comfortable.we had a large balcony which both rooms led out to. The reception staff were also nice in our experience, would say hello and smile. Bad points. The pool was ice cold !! Cant have been heated while we were there.also almost completely in the shade by 3pm.the whole area to us was a depressing place to sit. Pool is surrouded by the hotel building on 3 sides which quite tall and dark brown. Like sitting in the middle of alcatraze prison!!. Tried to but a coffee from pool bar, the girl came back with a small cardboard cup 1/3 full if that!! That was it!! 4 lev, or £2 approx. Very un-inviting, cold, dark, very quite and depressing area all together!!! Hardly surprising the pool was nearly always empty. Also you were not allowed to take in food or drink from outside, stuck with the pity-full excuse for pool bar. as a result we did,nt spend our time or money there. There,s a costa just out side with proper service and drinks. Also the beach bar on kiki beach 5 minutes walk away was cheap and very good value. The breakfast was also very poor. Served from 07.30 - 10.00 supposedly, we would go down 09.00 to 09.30am, but very frequently there was very little left, what was there was mostly cold,so when put on cold plates was awful. Orange juice was just slightly coloured diluted water, and the other juice ran out after a couple of days, was never refilled. The restaraunt staff were uninterested and abrasive. We conplained to reception, and we were not the only ones. Went with out after a while, and had decent breakfast elsewhere!! We had one meal in the evening there, which actully was very nice, but the empty restaraunt and atitude of the waiter in particular, made it not particularly enjoyable. All in all, we would return to sunny beach, BUT CERTAINLY WILL NOT be staying at this hotel again. 3-4 star at very best, despite the 5 stars mounted on front of hotel !!!!
