|1.95km from city centerThe bus to Salzburg is only 15 minutes away, but there are several buses going at the same time, and Hellbrunn or Cable Kata are both on the mountain, so if you have a timetable to go there, you can stay in the hotel, especially if you travel from Take the Flix or Leo bus in Prague or elsewhere. This is the direction from the station to the city, so you can find accommodation earlier because the accommodation is earlier than the city. The staff are friendly and it rains a lot in Salzgan, so I rented an umbrella from the hotel and used it well. The disadvantage is that it is air-conditioned, so I chose this type of accommodation, which is usually not what we think it is, but a fan-like device.
Please note that air conditioning is installed. However, it rained on the day we went, so that air conditioning was not needed. Opening the window and blowing the wind is much cooler than opening the air conditioner. You can open the window, because there are no mosquitoes, it doesn't matter. In addition to the disappointment with the air conditioning, the price is cheaper than the accommodation in Salzburg, so you can take the bus.

Zwei Nächte knallte der Wind alles ans Fenster. Der Herr an der Rezeption beim Einchecken war sehr freundlich. Alles andere war schade für das Geld. Als wir eincheckten brachte gerade einPizzakurier das Essen für andere Gäste. Wir waren etwas erstaunt. Offensichtlich war das dem Personal vom Hotel nicht neu. Alles wurde mit Routine erledigt und abgewickelt. Am Abend realisierten wir, warum. Das Hotel ist 15 - 20 Minuten vom Zentrum entfernt. In der prallen Sonne extrem mühsam. Sauberkeit? Nicht unbedingt. Hinter dem Vorhang viel Staub und Abfall von vorherigen Gästen. Auch einen Abfallkübel konnten wir, mit Ausnahme des kleinen Eimerchens für das Wattebäuschchen zuerst nicht finden. Erst zufällig, als wir die Vorhänge zogen, um einen Schalter für die defekte Beschattung zu finden, war da ein Abfalleimer. Das Bad war voller roter Streifen. Vermutlich vom Nagellack eines/r Gaste s/in. Der Teppich war schmudelig. Die Betten waren super gut.

|4.28km from city centerI really wanted to like this hotel, but ultimately left with a sour experience. The first two days our experience was excellent. The staff was wonderful and accommodating. The first day we went to the front desk and ordered a pizza. The staff member on duty asked if we wanted it served in the room or in the restaurant. We said the room and she kindly delivered it to the room. The third night we arrived back at the hotel after a long day of sightseeing around 9pm. As the hotel is located in a residential neighborhood there was nothing around other than the restaurant at the hotel. We asked the front desk if we could order a pizza (please note this is the only thing they serve at night), and the staff member on duty coldly told us NO and then said they were not a pizza restaurant. Then she asked us if we were guests of the hotel ”do you have room here?”. She said the restaurant closed at 9, but then during the same conversation told us the restaurant closed at 10. After asking if there was anything we could get at that late hour she made us a pizza but was very annoyed about it. Further, and this what really disappointed us, she told us we were not allowed to take the pizza to the room as eating in the room was not allowed (even though there is a mini bar and snacks in the room), and we were also not allowed to eat in the restaurant, so we had to eat the pizza in the hallway of the hotel. It was embarrassing and humiliating. Real shame as we were enjoying our stay but this really made us feel unwelcome.

|1.49km from city centerWe booked a room for our family for 4 days from Friday. Unfortunately, the room provided was very dirty and smelled strongly to urine, see photos. As well, the walking distance from the room was dirty. The local staff was able to offer us only a cleaning, since there was no equivalent room available at that time. As we could not imagine ourselves as a family to spend our time in Salzburg in a room which may be insufficiently cleaned and still smells to urine, We rejected and requested full or partial reimbursement of booking costs. Unfortunately, the staff was not capable of making decisions and referred to us to management, which was no longer to be reached on Friday afternoon. We then immediately wrote a mail to management, in which we pointed out the misconduct and requested a reception in the booking costs. On the next Monday, after we had written a reminder email, then the rejecting answer from the management with the cancellation of our room came over the full amount of booking. They thought they could not meet us at the booking costs, that was not their “solving path”. We went to the hostel again Monday morning. This time someone from the management was present. This was not intended to meet us again. It even claimed that they had offered us an equivalent room as an alternative to cleaning on Friday and that is why they couldn't meet us! We wanted to see our paid room again, but this was already forgiven elsewhere! This is why they have doubled the cash, triggered by their bad services! From the customer perspective, it is very difficult to understand, especially since the management would have never expressed regretful comments about the situation or even apologised with us. With the experience we can not recommend this hostel to anyone!

Elles sont relativement petites, et il n'y a que très peu de rangements. Il en est de même dans la salle de bain : bien arrangée, mais ensemble exigu. La literie est très correcte, l'isolation phonique acceptable si la fenêtre est fermée. La climatisation fonctionne bien, la propreté est impeccable. Le petit-déjeuner est très soigné, c'est un plus ! Le rapport qualité-prix parait un peu élevé, mais tout est très cher dans cette ville splendide.

Die Reservierung Sehr gut per Mail oder über ein Buchungsportal und sehr freundlich und verbindlich im Ton. Die Begrüßung Die jungen, meist weiblichen Personen waren sehr freundlich, um Lösungen bemüht und vorbildlich. Als Stoffel erwies sich jedoch der sogenannte „Chef der Rezeption“, der, ohne genau hinzuhören, unqualifizierte Antworten gab und den sehr guten Eindruck seiner Kolleginnen relativierte. Man merkte den Kolleginnen deutlich an, dass es ihnen auch unangenehm war. An den sogenannten Chef: Nehmen Sie sich ein Beispiel an ihren Kolleginnen und wenn Sie das nicht können oder Ressentiments gegen Personen aus Ihrem Nachbarland hegen, dann wechseln Sie bitte die Branche. Das Zimmer Sehr schön groß, sauber mit einer getrennten Toilette und einem separaten Bad. Laut war es nur, wenn andere Personen auf dem Flur in der Nacht sich laut unterhielten. Ab und zu verfing sich der Duft von Essen in unserem Zimmer. Das Frühstück Sehr gut in allen Bereichen mit vielen regionalen Produkten, sei es bei herzhaften oder süßen Speisen, bei warm oder kalt. Die Bedienung war äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Unsere Empfehlung Sehr gerne wieder - vielleicht aber erst dann, wenn der Chef der Rezeption etwas hinzu gelernt hat.

The first floor rooms have balconies. It was enjoyable to sit out on the balcony in the evening. The beds were comfortable. There was a variety to choose from for breakfast. The jams were especially tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful. They went out of they way to locate laundry facilities for our group. Public transportation was nearby and convenient.

It looks like an old building that has been renovated on the inside. Rooms are very modern, well lit, and comfortable. We got to peek into some of the other rooms while they were being cleaned and they look amazing! Very nice furniture pieces. Common areas hold the best of the building's older features (bonus points for the awesome grandfather clock by the front desk). Just a few minutes' walk from Old Town and the train station, so a great place to get in and out of Salzburg and explore the city's main attractions. Highly recommend this one - it's truly lovely.

|0.8km from city centerOur family of four stayed in a superior apartment for three nights. The hotel was a pleasant experience. We loved having two bedrooms and the rooms were nicely undated. Our room was on the top floor with views of the street and graveyard. Most hotels in Europe don’t have air conditioning so the multiple windows offered nice cross ventilation. We closed the windows at night and they were soundproof from street noise. Luckily the hotel borders a pedestrian only area so there are no vehicles driving by. Other pros include: - great sitting area in the lobby - awesome coffee machine to make a variety of drinks at any time - complementary fresh baked croissants and light sandwiches in the morning - two outside patios - on a pedestrian street with plenty of great restaurants and cozy bars The location was fantastic and we had a pleasant stay. I’d stay here again without hesitation while in Salzburg.

The hotel room is clean and sanitary, there are supermarkets, pharmacies nearby, etc. The hotel's underground garage allows guests to park for free. The hotel staff is very friendly. When I know the pain in my leg, I will provide the medicines I have stored in the hotel. I also recommend that I park in the Altstadt garage A or B parking lot (the parking lot is inside the cave) when I drive into the old town. It is the old city, and it takes less than 5 minutes to walk to the food alley (the former residence of Mozart). Note that when spending in the food and beverage outlets in the old city, you must take the initiative to find employees to punch holes in the parking ticket, there are discounts when paying for parking. I stopped at the parking lot for 7 hours and 50 minutes and received 6 euros.

When we got to the hostel, check in counter was not manned with sign to call reception phone. Tried calling phone number several times it did not connect, when it got through it went straight to voice mail. Been waiting for more than half an hour at 3 am, tired and exhausted from the journey when a group of drunk men entered the lobby and was gaining access to the bar which was also unmanned. They went behind the counter, opening the fridge with beers, it was only then when a very sleepy, exhausted and unapologetic staff appeared. Check in process took a long time since she even had to check if the room was ready, a room I already paid in advance for to reserve it since I knew we would be arriving after 6 pm - their cut off time for room reservation of free cancellation bookings.
