We decided to treat ourselves to a mini break close to home. This hotel is slightly dated but just as welcoming and comfortable as other premier inns we've stayed at. All the staff here are helpful and attentive. Being so close to the Millennium costal path the location is perfect for walkers and cyclists. We had a lovely walk around the lake at Sandy Water Park, just a stone's throw away from the hotel. Would definitely return.

Stayed here with my wife at the weekend and although it had what you would expect of a 4 star hotel and spa, the rooms didn't meet the standard you would expect of a 4 star hotel and without significant additional charges, you were not able to use the spa at all. The food at the Copperplate Bar and Grill was amazing, the best steak we have ever eaten and the waiter service was fantastic. The drinks at the bar were reasonably price, approx £7.25 for a raspberry gin & lemonade and a bottle of Corona. Our restaurant experience was however completely ruined by a very narrow minded couple sat behind us, loudly trying to guess if my wife was a Male or female loud enough for all to hear simply because she had short hair!! The best bit was, the woman that felt she had the right to comment on my wife's appearance, had shorter hair than my wife! Although we wasn't blown away with the services that were available for a 4 star hotel, we were happy to return in the future for a short break as the price was reasonable but if this is the clientele you wish to attract to your establishment, I'm afraid we'll stay away, as I'm sure will many other members of the LGBT community. Obviously we know that the hotel cannot be held responsible for how your customers behave but I dont know of anyone that would openly visit a hotel where members of one party can embarrass and belittle another based upon their appearance in a room full of other guests with staff turning a blind eye. This made what was supposed to be a relaxing overnight stay very sour.

We stayed for 2 nights in the Llanelli Travelodge, the hotel is modern and the rooms compact but comfortable. There is a car park directly outside which is free overnight (6pm - 8am). They don’t do a cooked breakfast but the New Stepney pub under the hotel which opens at 9am has a good selection of breakfasts. Great value stay, well located for Gower, WWT Llanelli and the Botanical Gardens.

I attended an event over the weekend 6-9 March. I knew there was a going be a large number of people attending and wasn’t really sure what to expect. The staff at the Diplomat were amazing. They were friendly, helpful, accommodating and just all around brilliant in the face of what must have seemed really strange. Although we didn’t stay onsite what we saw of the hotel was clean and well run. The food was delicious and again they coped with large numbers very well. We will definitely be back, and endeavour to stay onsite this time. Big loves to all the staff, see you next time (Ps can I get the recipes for your veggie options?, I could have eaten the lot each night)

A group of us stayed at this hotel for a night whilst attending a funeral and every one commented how clean and comfortable the bedrooms were. Whilst this is not a new Premier Inn you could tell that the staff cared about the presentation of the hotel. Our room in particular was so well presented it sparkled when we entered. The linen on the bed was perfectly spread looking crisp and fresh. The worktops and upholstery of the room was polished and well kept and the room smelled "clean." The bathroom sparkled all the surfaces clean and bright. My wife and I use Premier Inn when we can but seldom have we stayed in a better presented room. The hotel have introduced better pillows that are firmer and together with the superbly comfortable beds we have a great nights sleep inspire of the storm raging outside. Well done to the team running this hotel and particular thanks to Heidi who helped us out with a taxi and other details. We had lovely stay and enjoyed some good food and service in the Beefeater also this hotel is a credit to Premier Inns....well done and thanks.

We booked a room at the Llwyn County House to stay prior to a wedding the following day. This place is outstanding, there isn’t a negative. Plenty of parking, you receive the best warm welcome and immediately you relax. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, there’s plenty of wardrobe space and the bathroom was amazing containing a roll top bath and separate shower. There’s tea and coffee in the room which again is a lovely homely bonus. Our breakfast the following morning was the best, the selection available is vast ranging from fresh juices, cereals, croissants and hot breakfasts (I would challenge anyone to say there wasn’t something for them), we were the only guests and yet we were offered the works. I requested poached eggs on toast but my husband had an enviable full English breakfast and it was a hearty meal which I couldn’t resist pinching some off his plate (which he didn’t mind cos the selection and volume was amazing). Absolutely delicious meal and I have to say exceeded the quality of any average breakfast at any other hotel or eatery. This hotel is a lovely hotel and I wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend it, the staff and owner are the best asset to this place, they are friendly and welcoming making sure you are relaxed and enjoying yourself. They really can’t do enough for you, a great combination great staff and a great hotel.
