|3.04km from city centerI went to take the IELTS test by myself and lived here for a few days. It is a great split-level house, which is simply a British student apartment studio. Very cost-effective, beside the lake, it is quiet, there are several cafes downstairs for dining, and the staff are also very good at talking and can communicate in English. The people around are very nice.

|0.63km from city centerDon't get me wrong from the title, this hotel is great for so many reasons but I'm sure there are room for improvements. First I'll mention the good parts 1. Location- It's amazing how many places you can get to from Amira Hotel and it's all around walking distance. Need to go to Hoan Kiem lake? No problem! Once you have google map, you'll be there in 10-15 mins walk. Need to cross some list in your food blog checklist? Say no more! You'll walk a few blocks and you'll pretty much cover over half of the restaurants and coffee shops you wanted to go to. 2. Customer service- incredibly professional and friendly staff. They're keen to help as much as they can during your trip, so don't hesitate to ask questions. 3. Cleanliness- I believe this is a new hotel. I having lived with someone that has OCD (my mom), I've learned to see the details of what a really clean room is. Amira is an epitome of cleanliness. They really did a great job with this! Now for the not so great part... 1. I booked the Junior Suite with the balcony. The size of the room was a bit deceptive. Photos online looks big and spacious, but in reality its really a small room. I have no problem with small rooms, but it would have been better to manage my expectations before booking. One of the photos with the balcony had a table and seats, not the case at all. A chair can barely fit in based on its size. Another note- it does not have a tub. I read the amenities in the room and it clearly says it provides one, but I was left really disappointed. 2. Room temperature. I woke up a couple of times feeling extremely uncomfortable and warm because the air conditioner was off. I called at 3am for someone to help fix it, they came up to just turn it on but it went off again in a few hours. We finally found out that there was a timer, I asked someone but they weren't able to fix it. At the end, it was my boyfriend that fixed the settings. 3. Noise from the hallway. This is by no means the hotels fault, but its a caution to know that it can get pretty annoying to try to sleep and hear people outside your room. On the other hand, you can barely hear the motorcycles/cars from the outside. 4. Breakfast. A bit underwhelming, food selection was limited but food tastes good. Overall I'm happy with this hotel but just throwing in some feedback. Will I recommend it? Sure.

The map is between Hoan Kiem Lake and West Lake. I thought it would be remote, but it was actually in a large courtyard in an alley in the busy urban area. There are two bedrooms, one living room and one bathroom. There is a kitchen and dining room, shampoo, toothbrushes, no disposable slippers, trash cans are cleaned every day, bath towels and bottled water are refilled, and linen is not changed.
Walk to 36xing Street for 5 minutes, Hoan Kiem Lake, Old Town, Night Market, Tong Xuan Market for 15 minutes, and Confucian Temple for 20 minutes. In short, most of the attractions are within walking distance.
The airport uses Grab to take a taxi, 270,000 VND, 80 yuan.
Hotel front desk service is super good!
The surrounding area is full of Hanoi cuisine.

|1.13km from city centerI stayed at Bi Eco Suites for a total of 6 nights. The staff were fantastic and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. It is somewhat slightly difficult to find - the cab driver from the airport had problems and subsequently everyone else who were to pick me up etc. However, I quite liked that I was far enough from the Old Quarter that it wasn’t really loud, and close enough to walk there easily. The rooms are brilliant. Well equipped and spotless. I loved my time here. If I were to stay in Hanoi again, I’d absolutely be staying here!

We had some hiccups which was of no fault by the hotel..( like losing one luggage from our group from our cruise, and tour operator etc). The hotel went above and beyond to help us resolve our problems. Special thanks to Plum, who was so nice and friendly and was so professional and efficient to resolve issues for us. Hotel has plenty of restaurants and street food everywhere and is very near the lake. Beautiful pool and sky bar too.Everyone was very friendly and helpful, from the bellboys to the front desk staff. They even gifted my mom who has a bad knee a herbal compress from the spa. Small details and kind gestures made our stay here so special. 5 stars to the peridot team!

The alley is very lively, the whole alley is doing business, if you want to experience local life is also good, but the view from the room depends on everyone's preferences, my room is the roof of someone else's house. Once we arrived we called and within 5 minutes we were picked up in a modern clean air conditioned car . We had a spacious clean room with mini fridge and TV with movies . We were able to purchase cold beers for 20k VND , the room came with amenities like tooth brushes , razors , a comb , coffee , tea ans bottled water , all included for around $21 AUD and 80k for airport transfer which is around $5 AUD. Rooms are very nice, the breakfast buffet each morning had a ton of options, and the staff throughout the hotel really stood out. The ladies working the breakfast remembered us each morning and were very friendly. And at the front desk, Thu and Hanh were especially friendly and helpful. The only thing to consider with this hotel is its distance from the Old Quarter. It requires a cab to get there which costs about 70-100 dong. Luckily, cabs are easy to find.

From welcoming us with some welcome drinks and fruit, to politely going through our booking details with us (as there was a mix up about payment) and even looking after our bags for a night (as we spent one evening in a village a little way out from Hanoi and returned to the hotel the day after). Of course the rooms, cleanliness and breakfast were also fantastic - and the only reason for rating the location as a 4 is owing to the fact that as it is centrally located in the Old Town, it can get quite noisy at night. In fairness, the hotel accomodated this by ensuring guests were placed in rooms further away from the noisy street (and with double windows), but it is something to bear in mind. We didnt mind of course - you cant expect to be in the midst of it all, and at the same time expect pure silence!

|0.3km from city centerDespite being perfectly located close to the lake and the busiest area of the old quarter it is situated down a side lane meaning none of the incessant beep-beep from the roads during the night.This hotel is the perfect balance of all the comforts without the high price tag. The room was a good size, air con worked well, the fridge has a small freezer section and the bathroom had a separate shower that contained the water. Toiletries provided included pump packs of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Breakfast was a selection from a menu (eg bacon/eggs. noodle soup, pancakes) and self serve brown and white baguettes. The staff and manager were endlessly friendly and helpful creating a very pleasant atmosphere in the hotel. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
