The hotel space in Japan has always been very small. This one has been prepared for a long time, but this one I booked this time, I really think it is quite OK in his level! The room for two people was more than enough to spread out the activity space. I was pleasantly surprised. The beds were clean and tidy, and all the toiletries were provided. When I checked in, I also had a small beauty bag, body lotion, and facial mask I have to bring my toothpaste and toothbrush. Anyway, I think it ’s pretty good. It ’s beyond my ideal value. The Japanese are very polite. The service staff smiles when they go in and out every day, and the subway station is next to them. Noisy, passing a diagonal street crossing, there is a lot of food very lively, breakfast can be eaten within 5 minutes walk. Very pleasant stay!

Everything was good to Japanese standard, same small as it is in Ueno, Tokyo. Two types of view from the window, one to the tower, one to the hectic crowd with colourful signs.

One of the reasons for choosing to stay in Tokyo this time is near Ueno Station. One reason is to take the Keisei Express Terminal from Narita Airport to Ueno. It is very easy to grasp the itinerary. In addition, Ueno Station is also a big station, and it is easy to travel to all parts of Tokyo. This hotel is very cost-effective, the room is larger than the Ueno Mitsui Garden Hotel, the price is cheap, the distance from Ueno Station is the same, that is, Mitsui on the roadside, it is more than 300 expensive.

Apologies, we should have posted this review some weeks ago. My family & I stayed in a family room at the Touganeya for 10 nights in October 2019. We can't recommend the hotel highly enough. The location is excellent, right next to both the JR and below ground train lines as well as multiple convenience stores, shops, restaurants, the Ameyoko market and beautiful Ueno park & zoo within walking distance. The hotel serves a Japanese breakfast but if you prefer a Western breakfast there is a Pronto cafe 1m walk away & a Doutor cafe 3m walk away. The family room was a good size and good value for 2 adults & 2 kids. The room was kept spotlessly clean by the cleaning staff. The reception staff were incredibly helpful, especially when we had to unexpectedly extend our stay due to a typhoon. In short, we think the Touganeya is an excellent hotel and will definitely stay there again when we return to Tokyo.

Very good value for a hotel, the focus is to provide a simple breakfast croissant is delicious, as well as pumpkin soup, omelettes, meatballs and the like. Every day is a very delicate and just right thing for the time to go out and buy and buy and go out This kind of breakfast for the scenic spots is enough! Many times in Japan, I have lived in some hotels in front of the station. The general facilities are old and the sanitation is very general. This health condition is quite gratifying. Many guests are Japanese. The hotel is very quiet and belongs to the kind of quiet. Recently, there are a lot of troubles in Ueno's eating and ordering. The only trouble in Brazil is that there are still a few steps from JR or Keisei Station. Although it is not far away, the road conditions are a bit complicated and the simplest is to change from the center of JR Xiaoguang Road. On the left hand side, the bridge crosses a half circle and then enters the alley to see a parking lot on the right hand side. If you drag a few large boxes, consider crossing the road and then passing the traffic lights. Although you don't climb the stairs, the road is far away. Keisei Ueno stands on the edge of the JR station. The sky line is 45 minutes from Narita. It is very convenient! There is a lot of Keisei Ueno Station when you store the box. It’s great value to see cherry blossoms here!

If you want to stay in Ueno / Asakusa / two countries in Tokyo, Sutton Place Hotel Ueno will be a convenient choice. Jr Ueno station is about 300m away from the hotel. The surrounding traffic is very convenient. You can walk to Shangye station and the subway station. The famous scenic spots yumisharaku by opsis, the National Museum of science and the National Museum of Western art are all within walking distance. All the room facilities, including air conditioning and safe, can meet your needs. The bathroom is equipped with slippers, bathtub and hair dryer. At the end of a long day, visitors can relax in the massage room, which can greatly improve your satisfaction with the hotel. Provide dry cleaning service for your journey.

I stayed at Hotel Yamayuri because of it's proximity to the Ueno and Okachimachi stations. Check in wasn't bad at all. Older woman checked me in and gave me key. I then learned that they lock the doors at midnight. If you aren't back by then, you aren't going to get in to your room. I don't usually stay out late but I'd like that flexibility. Should be noted when reservations are made. Room was very small and in disrepair. I was in 201 at end of hallway so wifi was very weak. It was cheap and I guess you get what you pay for but Ueno Terminal Hotel was far better for a similar price. I wouldn't stay here again.

Positive things first: 1) The hotel location was almost perfect. Within walking distance to Keisei-Ueno station and JR Ueno station. Ameyoko is just across the road. Even if you are dragging your luggage, the hotel doesn't feel far and there's flat path all the way from the stations to the hotel (if you know your way, that is). I'd recommend to always check out the intended route via Google Streetview so that you won't get lost when you are really there. 2) Front desk reception staff are always with a smile and makes you feel very welcome. They are not very proficient in English but they will try their hardest to communicate with you. They won't hesitate to help if you ask. You can arrange luggage forwarding with them as well - as long as you provide them with the address that you want to send your luggage to, they will help you fill in the forms and get you settled on the payment. 3) Pre-stay communication with the hotel via email was a pleasure. They replied very promptly to all my emails. 4) Different pillows are available for you to choose at the reception (though there wasn't much choices left when we checked in at around 4pm on a weekday). 5) Free coffee/cocoa available from the drinks machine at the reception level. (I'm not a fan of their coffee though - I'd much rather pop by the 7-11 a building away or the Family Mart opposite for their brewed latte.) 6) Bottled water is provided and replenished everyday (which is pretty rare in Japan hotel!). 7) Checking out is very straight forward. You just drop your room key into the box and you can leave. That's nice. The not-so-positives: 1) We got a room upgrade (thank you) from deluxe twin to a Japanese twin room. On paper it's supposed to be slightly bigger, but the actual room was actually not that big. There isn't much space at all for 1 big and 1 small luggage if you don't wish to haul your luggage up the ledge (more about that in a bit). 2) A Japanese room would mean there's tatami mat and that there's a ledge that we had to step up/down to get to the mattresses on the floor. (Yes, there's proper mattress on the floor, not futons.) As asians, we would always take off our shoes anyway, so the tatami mat wasn't the issue. The issue was that ledge. I stayed with my mom whose an elderly, so the constant stepping up and down frustrated her as she has a bit of problem with her knees. I wasn't aware of this feature when I accepted the room upgrade - if I had known I wouldn't have taken it. So beware of this if you are going for their Japanese room. 3) While the housekeeping seems okay on the surface, on my last morning in the room, I saw a baby cockroach running out from the TV console. Was kinda glad that I was checking out already. I may return to stay in the future if I need to stay around Ueno, as the location is really hard to beat and honestly there are more positives than negatives during my stay this time at Tosei Hotel Cocone Ueno. I stayed here for 6 nights as I explored Tokyo and surrounding areas. The staff were friendly and helpful, although I got the impression my attempts to converse via my Japanese phrasebook when I accidentally locked myself out of my room weren't appreciated in the spirit in which I intended. The room was comfortable and street-facing rooms have a view of the Skytree! Wifi was reliable. It is a 5-10min walk from the main entry of JR Ueno station and the Ueno Tokyo Metro station (there is a side entrance to the JR station around the corner from the hotel) and there are 2 Family Marts and lots of cheap restaurants of various cuisines within that 10min hotel-station area.

Odaiba
If you loves omakase breakfast at Toyosu market, shopping at Venus Fort, Diver City, Aqua City, visiting the TeamLab Borderless and TeamLab Planets, and hot-spring at Ooedo Onsen, that's the perfect location. Even gives you quick access to Disney resort and Haneda Airport! Small rooms as usual but the one with twin double beds is excellent for parents with two young children. The only downside is no car-rental nearby.

this hotel is always my favourite. the location is very convenient for shopping, for food & for transport. However, it took me over 45minutes to check in hotel because they couldn't find my booking although I provided the Trip.com's confirmation number but I had no hotel confirmation number. Owing to the super typhoon which I must stay in the hotel, the hotel staff provided quality services & very good food. Overall, I enjoyed the stay.

Check in was a breeze, efficient and high tech. Godzilla head is an interesting feature of the hotel (esp. for fans), and location is great, right in the middle of the happening area. room size is good, can even be bigger if the toilet is joined with the bathing area. can bring the 2 single beds together to form a large bed.

Suidobashi/Tokyo Dome
Their service is nothing short of excellent. They have staff who are fluent in English (and other languages as well, I suspect). Me and my friend came thinking that we would be staying in a Single Room with Extra Bed since that was what we booked as we attempted to be more economic. However, to our pleasant surprise, our room was upgraded to a much much bigger room for free. We are very thankful to the helpful staff for making our stay pleasant and extremely comfortable. The location is great as it in located somewhere in between Iidabashi and Suidobashi which is pretty much close to the geographical center of Tokyo. Head east you will be able to visit Akihabara and Asakusa quick. Head west, you will be able to hit Shinjuku, Harajuku, and Shibuya. The neighbourhood is fairly quiet and the Tokyo Dome is just a 10-15 minute stroll away. If I am coming back to visit Japan, this hotel will be a clear top choice for me. Haven't had the opportunity to have the breakfast at this hotel, but I will certainly try it out on my next stay here.

Good hotel. Location is great and convenient, pretty much inside Sunshine city mall. There’s also a 24/7 family mart as well. Didn’t encounter any elevator problems in regards to having to wait long queue times.
