Close to Hagia Sophia. The staff are friendly and the breakfast is delicious. I rented a standard room but it was small but the interior was nice and elegant and it was my taste. However, the facility is a bit old, and it is particularly inconvenient for the faucet to be adjusted to the taps for the cold and hot water respectively. Overall I was happy with this and wanted to feel in Istanbul.

Location - The place is centrally located where it is just a few steps away from Gulhane Parks (we really enjoyed the beautiful garden will full of flowers especially tulip and roses), surrounding with a lot of attraction (Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, etc) and very near to tram station (Gulhane Park). Taxi or Uber are also everywhere at all times. Room - We rented 2 bed apartment for a week. It is comfortable enough space for us 2 adult and 3 kids and complete with furniture and cooking equipment. All equipment worked well. The owner helped to arrange our laundry with reasonable price everyday during our stay. The owner also very helpful where he arranged to pick up/send us from/to the airport. He can be reachable at any times whenever we need. Environment - Quite busy during day, and quite at night. Overall - Excellent, we will surely repeat our stay at this apartment if we were to visit Istanbul again.

I just returned from an 18 night trip to Istanbul with my daughter, to which the last 7 nights were at the Basilissis Hotel. This new boutique hotel checked every box for a traveler like me. As a first time visitor to the city, and Fatih, its location is as good as it gets. 5min walk to the mosques, across the street from Gulhane Park, dry-cleaning/laundry behind the hotel, barber at the corner(Salon Emre), restos & cafes everywhere, exceptionally clean hotel with personally invested staff. Musa and his team are truly wonderful people, and i can honestly say you'll not find 'any negative' with your stay at Basilissis Hotel. Clean, quiet and convenient is just what i require. And at good rates, my daughter got her own room. I'll surely see everyone here again, God-willing, when i return(winter), with my wife. I love loved my time in the Old City and at the Basilissis Hotel. I think you will as well. Cheers.

Highly recommended, location: Istanbul - the core location of the old town tour. Opposite the window is the groundwater palace exit; another room window facing the Sofia Cathedral, 50 meters walk from the back door of the hotel is the exit and entrance of Topkapi Palace; the entrance to the hotel is 60 meters away from the entrance to the Sofia Church, the entrance to the church Close to the Blue Mosque and the Church Square; it is a century-old house in the old European district. It seems that the pedestrians who appear on the window are very European. In the morning, we walked along the wall of Topkapi Palace to the beach to see the locals swimming in the sea; visit the church, the palace, and the mosque; the hotel is very close, you can go back to the room and take a shower before you can go; see the pedestrians and dogs in the square in the afternoon. Dogs play; at night, the church and the square are dimly lit, and there are many barbecues and various food choices around the street. Look for locals to visit and enjoy the food. It is very convenient to live in the scenic spot; Hotel service: 8:00 early flight to the hotel, handsome guys chat for a while, help us to stay directly. Very enthusiastic. Hotel soft service is 5 star quality; the hotel has 2 free bicycles, and interested friends can cycle around Sofia Square. Hardware facilities: The rooms are not large. For those who are used to large-sized luxury houses, they should be mentally prepared in advance. It is difficult to expect large rooms in the old European city. The room area is in line with our expectations. The interior is equipped with fine details and various services, belonging to the boutique hotel. Breakfast: more abundant, there are questions about the degree of omelette and coffee juice, the service is 5 stars. During the period, there were lonely boasting people who performed similar rotating dance music. The next day, considering the need to go to the Grand Bazaar to facilitate the peninsula of another hotel in AJW, it turned out to be a mistake and should stay in the hotel for another night. AJWa is twice as expensive. In the vicinity of the Grand Bazaar, the interior decoration is luxurious, but it needs a very steep slope. It is very hard. It is a wholesaler of shoes. It is a bit messy at night. It is still a little worried to walk back to the alley of the hotel. .

I was on an overnight layover in Istanbul and decided to have a quick tour of this fantastic city. I booked The Print House Hotel because of the location, affordable price and good reviews. Bruce efficiently communicated with me since my booking was made last minute. He also arranged my airport to hotel transfer. The location is excellent... at the center of Istanbul's touristy area and near the famous Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Topkaki Palace. The white interior motif of the room makes it look clean, while inspirational quotes from famous Turkish writers / poets as decorations added character. Room is spacious with a small ref and full size mirror but the bathroom needs a little updating. A/C works well. There is no lift and the stairway is narrow and steep but you can request front desk staff to help with your luggage. Wi-Fi practically did not work inside my room. When I asked front desk the next morning, I was told that there seemed to be no connection problem. Mohamed, who was the front desk staff when I checked in past midnight forgot to return my passport after making a copy of it. It was good I came back to the hotel after my day tour and did not go straight to the airport. I am very thankful, however, to Bruce, the next shift front desk staff who discovered my passport on the photocopying machine and returned it to me. Also, I requested for a receipt after making my payment upon checking in but I was told that they can only give me the following morning because no manager at that time. But when I came down at around 8:30am the next morning and checked out, Mohamed informed me that manager is still inside his room. He knocked at the manager's room but got no answer. Therefore, only got my receipt and passport back after exploring the city. For the location, value for money and good service from Bruce, this is an OK hotel in Istanbul.

Small family-run hotel on a hidden side-street in Old City Istandbul walking distance from the Aya Sophia and Blue Mosque. The great thing about this area is that everything is walkable. Istanbul in now one of my favorite places that I've visited and I've traveled the world extensively. Great things about this hotel: Located on a seedy street but safely walkable to everything great in the Old City, Front desk staff are friendly, kind and helpful, complimentary morning breakfast is good, my room had a great slightly obstructed view of the Aya Sophia, Staff are helpful in suggesting things to do do an organizing travel, quiet and quaint, free wifi, reasonably priced Not great about this hotel: my room was very small, nicely designed but could be cleaner and several things need to be updated and replaced, towels and linens need to be replaced, bottled water needs to be left in the room, you needed to ask to have your room cleaned (??), no turn down service, stairs only which could be difficult for folks with mobility issues, no screens on windows, fan vs air conditioning, no free shuttle service from the airport All in all, I enjoyed my visit immensely. This location is awesome it's just that the rooms and attention to service detail need to be improved. The people working there are lovely and it is great for the value-conscious traveler. Istanbul is fabulous so if you get the chance to go, do it.

Stayed here for three nights and it was perfect. The location is ideal (close to the tram and the big sights) but not in the middle of busyness so it is quiet. The rooms were basic, clean and beds comfortable. There was a fridge and hot water kettle so you can make coffee and tea. The breakfasts had good variety and were filling. The staff were very helpful. Leila and Mousa were so happy to help out - and we needed some guidance at first as we found Istanbul to be a bit mesmerizing. The price was great. It is on a quiet alley so I needed my gps app to find it, but for others they location is a bit obscure.

Looking at the courtesy like a female boss, breakfast is average but music is fine. The room was small, the bathroom lights were broken, the air conditioner remote control was broken, and the room smelled great. The old man at the time of check-in, although the communication was hard, but he looked very sincere, looking like a male boss, a bit arrogant, room smell

The hotel is particularly good, the pick-up is directly sent to the door, the boss is a handsome guy, help us take the luggage up the stairs, set the family suite, but I guess because of the baggage he directly gave us the first floor suite, Zhenghe Mind. Let's talk about the location of the hotel, just in the old town, walking to the Blue Mosque, Santa Maria Church, the underground palace (not recommended), and the Bosphorus cruise are very convenient, breakfast is also very good, in short, my room I am very recommended, when I left, I helped set up 7 commercial vehicles, 4 people 35 euros, very good, recommended!

My boutique Hotel - what can I say a little gem of a hotel. If you want to live amongst the locals experience local life eat at very reasonably priced restaurants. Be 10 min walk from the sulimaniya mosque. 15 min walk from Emenio tram and 15min from spice bazaar then this is the place. Not only for these reasons you should book but also book for the following. The rooms are immaculate clean tidy and beautiful they all have a mini fridge. Bathrooms are immaculate with a shower and complimentary shampoo shower soap and hand soap. A hair dryer is also provided. Wi Fi in all rooms and super fast connection .The Manger Jon could not do enough for us and the rest of the team equally helpful nothing was ever too much from booking us a taxi to finding us an iron to use. Our travel agent had booked us a twin room by mistake. When we reached the hotel we asked if a double was available unfortunately there was not but where told after 3 days a family room would become available and for a very small fee we could have this one and we did. The roof Terrance has a beautiful view of the sulimaniya mosque. Over all a pleasant stay do not get put off by the street this is not the centre of a tourist place but home for locals who are very friendly I as a woman went out and about on my own and did not feel threatened or harassed. I think a few little tweaks would make this place even better. 1. Tea and coffee making facility in the room we brits like our morning cup of tea. 2. The family room we stayed in was on the ground floor for decor purposes they had a glass wall ( don’t worry you can not see in or out) however in the night when the light is on of the lobby this gave continues light into the room. A curtain would be perfect to draw at night . 3. The terrace I would of used a little more than I did if it was a little more welcoming plants some traditional Turkish sofas with cushions. 4. May be a few English speaking channels on the TV However the above are only suggestions and do not take away from the fact how beautiful this hotel was and the hospitality was superb. We are definitely looking to book again this year with our children

We stayed in Laila last week. We stayed in the top floor. The room was nice, clean, just the sheeting was not really comfortable as it kept slipping from the bed. Also the water in our toilet kept running nonstop, so it was wasting a lot of water and also it was noisy. The elevator was not working but thst can happen at any hotel :) There are many shops and restaurant around the area and literally its about 10 mins walk to the Grand Bazar and Blue mosque also... we even used the shuttle to the airport which is 10euros and was really happy.

It's hard to find it for the first time. It is recommended to take a taxi, especially at night. The terrain of Turkey is not accurate for navigation on uphill and downhill maps. It is difficult for you to find. Leave your luggage and walk around, and then walk by yourself when you are familiar with it. Nice people at the front desk. Breakfast is okay, the price is 3 euros, pay when you check out. I stayed for two nights. Every day someone cleaned it. The heating was very good. The clothes I washed at night were covered with radiators and they were dried the next day. Although I live on the basement floor, there are windows, so the air is not bad. The price is cheap. When it was set, it was 100 or 108. Later, it was already 200. Hahaha, the price depends on luck. In short, it is recommended! Very close to the blue mosque

This hotel was HORRIBLE. To start off, the washroom sink kept overflowing and flooding the washroom, the shower was so tiny we didn't even understand how we could possibly shower in there. The room was so tiny, the area was not that great either, it was a dead area. However we didn't let all of these things get to us, and enjoyed our trip regardless. What made me mad is that I left my headphones in my room, underneath my pillow. When I came back at night, I couldn't find them. I emailed the hotel and said "I cannot find my headphones can you please ask the cleaning lady.. they were expensive". I said to ask the cleaning lady because I was afraid that when the cleaning lady changed my sheets, maybe my headphones got taken away with them OR maybe she placed them somewhere else. Shortly after she came upstairs and started screaming (in a different language, no idea what she said), and the hotel manager called and said "I accused her of stealing". First of all, no I did not. If he contacted her and asked her if she had stole the headphones, that's on him. I never used the word "steal" once. So, if you're asking your staff if they stole, maybe that's questionable on your part and your staffs credibility...why did your head go towards "stealing" the minute I asked where my headphones were? I later found the headphones placed on the table - which by the way, if you are cleaning someones room, you should put their belongings where you originally found them. What was mind boggling in this whole situation is when I rated the hotel, I gave them a 3.3 rating, which is generous on my behalf considering the washroom was leaking, it was tiny to the point we couldn't use the shower, the hotel staff didn't know a word of English which made it hard to communicate, the headphones situation pissed me off...but what was mind boggling was, the owner of the hotel texted my father and started cursing at him for giving a 3.3 rating. 3.3 is pretty generous considering the service we received, ALSO if you are unhappy with the customers rating, you learn and improve from it, you don't contact them and start cursing and yelling at them. NO ONE BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!!

We loved staying here, the room is cosy and there is a nice balcony to look out. Reception and porters are really friendly and helpful. One things is there are three Beethoven hotels in the same area so it gets a little confusing but they are not too far from each other. Breakfast was great with a lovely selection of fresh food. Try the trilece cake, was so yummy! Rooms were lovely with fridge and complimentary water bottles. There was also a safe. The bathroom was nice and clean with also good toiletries. The cleaner was pretty thorough and i mean thorough, putting cables in drawers, moving our suitcases and hanging our coats up to clean! I am glad she cleaned properly but not sure how i feel about people touching my things. One thing which i was really not hppty about was the spa lady. She was extremely rude when we went to use the pool. We asked for towels and she said we have to use room ones when there were clearly some there so had to go back up to room to get them. I then asked about the jet into the pool and she said its off so i asked why and she just shrugged her shoulders. She was really not helpful, considering she was just sitting there on her phone the whole time and is the reason why i am giving 4/5, what is the point of having such a useless staff member? We chose this hotel for the pool and spa so this was disappointing for us. Otherwise we loved everything else and the spa lady was not a reflection of any of the other staff who were all lovely. The location of the hotel was great and the tram stop was not too far walk, about 4/5 mins. I believe it also possible to walk to main attractions in half an hour. I would visit again but if the spa lady acted the same I would complain this time.

The hotel is a couple of streets away from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, which makes it a very central place for you to enjoy the touristic attractions. Besides, it is located in a calm street so you don't get that busy traffic in front of the hotel. The owners are a lovely couple who makes you feel at home. Zeynep Hanım's special side dishes (Turkish meze) flavour up the breakfast which is already very rich. Derviş Bey's calm and trustworthy smile is also another reason to feel the warm hospitality. All the staff members in the hotel have that big smile upon their faces. You can feel the family atmosphere in every detail. The room was clean. My bed was really really comfortable and the terrace had a panoramic view of the Bosphorus that I won't ever forget. The concept of the hotel is also dreamy, embedded with names of different literary figures. I can assure that you will be going on a journey that you will always look back to.

We found the hotel to be neat and tidy. The staff are great. Nearly got stuck in Turkey because of Coronavirus lockdown worldwide but the staff was fantastic with dealings with Turkish Airline when flights was cancelled unannounced. They were able to get them to re book our flight because of language barrier. No Kettle in d rooms permanently yet we have two for my family used. I don’t know why, but the WiFi keeps going on and off. The breakfast is consistently same thing during our one week stay and it becomes monotonous. Would have loved sausages and baked beans if possible. Hotel is right inside all the markets. I will surely lodge here again and I strongly recommend.

I recently stayed in Olimpic Hotel with my mom and aunt. It is located in Sultanahmet- right at the heart of the greatest sites. Five minutes of walking will take you to the famous historic mosques and other must-see tourist destinations. The hotel is also located close to the trolley and the streets are full of taxis which you can catch on your own or have the hotel arrange. The breakfast is great. The personnel are warm and kind, eager to help whenever they can. I felt safe and while the hotel is not luxurious, it is welcoming, clean, and is of adequate renovation. It is also close to the subway, and the hotel is just 50 meters away from the entrance to the underground passage of the subway. Hotel facilities are well maintained, breakfast is especially worthy of delicious and rich! Overall, this hotel is good value for money, but it does not reach the 5-star level, although the door is hung with a five-star sign. Excellent location near the ''Sokullu Sehit Mehmet Pasa mosque'', a historical place from 1571. Two minutes walk to the Hippodrome (the historical racetrack), 5-minute walk to the Hagia Sophia Museum (the former Greek Orthodox Christian patriarchal cathedral, later the Ottoman imperial mosque) and the tram (which connects you with the port for the cruises on the Bosphorus and the Golden Horn), 10 minutes to Topkapı Palace Museum. Everything it's around. Great hotel in Sultanahmet district. I stayed in February 2020 in this hotel. All the staff were lovely and very helpful. I stayed here for 2 nights (24-25th Sep) with my wife and had a fantastic experience. The guys at reception (Muhammad & Ahmed) were professional and super courteous, the room was small but tidy and the location was ideal for exploring the central Istanbul and the historic sites that are just a few hundred KMs away from the hotel. The tram stop was just around the corner as well which could take you to almost all major parts of the city. I see people pointing out the small rooms but you got to factor in the location which is literally 7 mins walk to the most sought after tourist attractions of Istanbul (Haghia Sophia and Blue Mosque). I can bet majority of the hotels have similar sized rooms since the property value must be sky high for such a locality. And I bet most of these hotels charge more than what Sirkeci Ersu does for rooms with the same specs. One thing that I'd like these guys to work on would be their breakfast. Lmited and same menu - can get really irksome for someone staying for multiple days. Having said that, it's not a deal breaker for me and I'd definitely stay here again if and when I happen to be in Central Istanbul.

And thanks to friendly, hospitable, helpful staff (Yusuf, Rami, Savaja, Laila, Ermina) we felt not just visitors but the dearest guests. All our questions - from recommendations on gift purchases to the best ways to the sights - reseived detailed answers.
