1.43km from Sarvan Swami CafeThere is so much to love about this place. The grounds are spectacular, the staff is lovely and the food is really good. There are flowers everywhere and two of the sweetest, fattest basset hounds I've ever met. That said, the room pictures online are deceiving. The bathrooms are huge and really beautiful. However, the furnishings are old and worn and the rooms have a musty, kind of funky smell. While the bed itself was very comfortable, the sitting areas in our rooms (we had two) had tiny, very uncomfortable sofas that were really only suitable to seat one person, and they were old and dingy. None of this was bad enough to make you want to leave, but it certainly doesn't warrant a five-star rating. I'd give it 3.5 if I could, but I definitely won't give it a 3 - it deserves better than that. The "spa" is also disappointing. It's not a spa - it's a room off the pool with a massage table and another room with a steam room. There's only one therapist, if you can call her that, so if you are two people you have to wait for her to finish with one of you before she can treat the other one. And, the "therapist" is an older wo*** with really calloused hands who speaks only Hindi, so it's not that easy to tell her what you want. That said, it was a decent massage - not very professional, but good. We also signed up for a cooking demonstration while we were there. We really enjoyed it. The chef was great at explaining the food and showing us how it was made. Overall, we really liked this place, even with it's shortcomings. You just have to ***age your expectations.
