There is a bus stop at the door and close to a large supermarket.
Good value for money.

|0.78km from city centerHotel was well located and very clean inside. Rooms made up daily. Breakfast was ok. Odd smell in bathroom - think the drains are not right. Main issues - bathroom extractor fan continuously on -annoying. The doors to other rooms slam noisily and some awful motor/generator out back of hotel also causing constant noise. Hot rooms; window only opens a crack. Overpriced for what is essentially a marginally polished premier inn.

|1.08km from city centerWe loved this hotel. Amazing value for money, if this hotel was in london it would be £200+ a night I think. The location is great, the city center is within 10 mins walking distance but it’s just far enough out to get a peaceful nights sleep. The breakfast is OK, does the job really, nothing to write home about. Will defiantly stay here again and recommend to friends

|0.57km from city centerI booked a junior suite with garden view & patio. I got a dirty, musty and smelly small basement room next to the kitchen with a view on a wall & noisy frying exhaust (from full haggis Scottish breakfast to fish & chips all day). This isn’t a suite or an apartment. It’s overpriced accommodation (over £200/night) and a scam. I expressed my distress a couple of times. Nobody cared. Noise from the street was intense at night. I will never go back and do not recommend this place. I cannot comment on rooms on upper floors, but avoid the room Nb 1 at all costs! There is no reception, this isn’t a hotel in any way shape or form. They care for the little cafe on the ground floor and just make money from the rooms. I’d prepaid so I had to stay. On the plus side the location is very central and the sheets/towels were clean. The rest of the room and especially bathroom was filthy and unmaintained. The photos will speak for themselves. Too bad you can’t smell through the photos or hear the exhaust or street noise.

|0.24km from city centerI can not express how disappointed I was with this hotel. I did extensive research as I wanted somewhere nice for my birthday and picked this hotel as it had great reviews and being just under £370 per night for a Delux room with city views my expectations were high. Well what a shock I got. The Bedroom was average at best and certain not deluxe. The beds were appalling, we did not manage to get sleep as the beds were made from hardwood and screwed together. I have attached pictures of the beds.... worst I have every stayed in. I felt like I was in a hostel. I felt like I was sleeping on planks. The city views was a joke as all I had was the railway station and rubbish. The room was very noisy. The TV was so slow it was quicker to watch TV on my mobile. I paid for breakfast and they said I had not had that included in the room rate of £370 per night. Also it stated complementary whisky as part of their “in room features” which was false advertising as they only provided it on day one despite it not stating that. I did question if they were going to take the other in room items out of the room ie TV, HairDryer, etc. There were stains on the chairs and carpets. The cleaning of the room was average at best. There was mould in the bathroom. They did not provide clean glasses and we had to clean them and we had to ask for Tea Bags and milk every day. The service at breakfast was awful as it depended who you were. We asked why some people were service tea/ coffee and others had to get our own. Breakfast was not fantastic. The staff were not that friendly or helpful. Was I wrong to expect a good standard of hotel / room in Edinburgh for £370.00 a night? I have stayed all of the world and never experience just a poor service / standard. Not the birthday experience I had expected. The only thing good about this place was it was central so location was good.

|2.99km from city centerThis hotel is historic and grand, I highly recommend it. Was once the Harbor Master's house for the port of Leith and it truly holds all of the charm of a historic building, but with many cool upgrades! The area is really charming, just off the water and a fairly quick bus ride to all the downtown sites. Every single member of the staff from the restaurant, to housekeeping to the front desk really went out of their way to be kind, helpful and attentive. This was a trip of a lifetime for me and they truly made my visit to Edinburgh all the more. I highly recommend The Malmaison. Thank you so very much for an excellent stay.

|0.28km from city centerIt's really close to Waverley station and the hotel facilities are good.
The room size is several times that of London, and I was able to sleep comfortably.
It's just that I washed the shower curtain and didn't dry it properly, so it smells rotten. It was a one-night stay and I just slept because it was a late check-in, but it was worth the Hilton name, but the smell was a bit too much.
Other than that everything was good.

|0.4km from city centerWe loved our stay. The staff were all frienldy and the service was brilliant overall. The breakfasts were delicious, and there's a good choice of dishes. We stayed in the Lost Lager room, and it was brilliant! Lots of space and the facilities were great. Couple of downsides were the noise from outside/other rooms and the fact you can't login to your own streaming services and the choices availble were very limited. However, the rest of the facilities were fab - loved the terrace, sweet pick n mix and the free water and coffee in the lounge area on the 1st floor. We'd definitely stay here and at other BrewDog hotels again.

|1.03km from city centerThe real thing matches the picture perfectly! The host sister was super considerate and prepared fruits and candies🍬 to welcome us! The kitchen supplies and tableware are all complete, and those who cook will be happy! There was only a double bed, and there were three of us. One boy slept on the sofa. We communicated with the landlady in advance and got permission to prepare an extra quilt! The water flow in the toilet is very strong and the hot water supply is sufficient. An additional heater in the bedroom is enough, and there is no problem with the heating in the living room! The location is really great, just around the corner from Edinburgh Castle

|1.23km from city centerThis hotel is so good, why is the rating so low? The hotel has more than 200 years of history, although there is no elevator, but the equipment in the room is very advanced, the toiletries are all L'Occitane, especially mentioning that the bedside table has a radio that has been placed in the light classic is very soothing, lying down without having to watch TV like this The music is very comfortable. Breakfast bread milk fruit is self-help, other such as bacon sausage eggs can be cooked, especially Amway fried poached eggs super delicious. In the UK, if you go out to eat breakfast or lunch, you will have more than 100 pieces. The price is very high, and the price will be high. I will stay here next time~

|0.51km from city centerThis was our second time at this hotel and we stayed for almost a week. You can't beat the location on George Street, right downtown, close to shops and restaurants. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms and bathrooms are very nice. The king bed had a good mattress and pillows. There is a safe. They seem to have made upgrades since our last pre-covid stay, including air-conditioning in (all?) rooms. As you would expect in a big city, the rooms are quite small and the hotel is not exactly quiet; also depending on where your room faces. We were right by the elevator, which I generally don't like. I wonder if it's because we booked through our credit card and not direct. It seems there is sometimes a ”penalty'. The rooms are supplied daily with water, delicious cookies and snacks. You can make individual cups of drip coffee in a filter, which is much better than instant coffee but not as good as a Nespresso, IMHO. We had breakfast included and the Printing Press is just wonderful, for breakfast, any meal and later evening cocktails and whiskey. The Burr & Co is a coffee shop, also right next door, with tables outside. Love that place. The hotel has great service. We lost a suitcase and got daily support in checking on the status and changing the address on the delivery. There seemed to be a shortage on hair conditioner and we didn't have a sign for do-not-disturb the first day and got woken at 8 AM, but that didn't spoil our enjoyment of the hotel stay. We expect to be back.

|0.43km from city centerI've never stayed in a hostel before, let alone in a former jail revamped as one ! Besides the gimmick, the Court is a wonderful place to stay if you are visiting Edinburgh, whether on a budget or not : fantastic location near the St Giles cathedral (where city tours seemingly start from), super friendly staff and surprisingly clean amenities (first time experience in a hostel so I didn't know what to expect quite frankly). Would definitely recommend !

|8.38km from city centerStayed here for two nights over the bank holiday weekend in August 2022. I'm guessing the price was high because of the fringe and it being a bank holiday weekend. The hotel was bright and breezy. no tea making facilities in the room. No hair dryer, limited storage, no draws. There was tea making facilities in the reception that were free and always available. Breakfast at the hotel was continental and £7.50 each. Quite reasonable for the offering of cereal, pastries, yoghurts, juice, ham and cheeses. Nice location opposite the tram station.

|0.41km from city centerWe stayed for 1 night in this beautiful hotel as a birthday night away and it was definitely the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. As we arrived at the hotel we were kindly met with a staff member that went over our room, breakfast, dinner and all the other queries we had. We were worried about how hotel stays works during times of COVID however, the hotel was superbly clean and guidelines were followed at all times. We stayed in the executive club room and it was amazing! Our room was spotless and decorated very beautifully. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows are the best I’ve ever used! As for the shower it was an over head rain shower with excellent water pressure. We had breakfast in the morning and it was beautiful would definitely recommend it to anyone considering a stay. Everything about the stay was spectacular and have recommended it to my friends and family. I’m looking at booking another night again for the new year due to how good my experience was. The staff were also very friendly and showed exceptional customer service. Beautiful room, lovely staff and an amazing nights stay! 5/5

|1.78km from city centerThe hotel location is very good, very close to Edinburgh Castle and Princes Street, it is a little far away from Royal Mile Street, but can be reached on foot, the town is very suitable for walking.
The hotel implements unmanned management, and you can open the door and the room door yourself according to the password you check in. We are a family of 5 staying with children and living suites. The rooms are large and clean and well-equipped. You can cook your own meals. Tableware and pots are fully equipped (but I do n’t see a microwave). We are accustomed to the British diet. The house even provides equipment such as vacuum cleaners and washing machines, which is in line with our home habits.
The price is slightly higher, but for the case of five of us, it is still a lot more cost-effective than booking two single rooms, especially it is really good to be able to cook by ourselves.
In particular, we need to remind everyone that the hotel will send you an email 7 days and 1 day before the check-in, which will contain the room number and password for the check-in. If you booked on Ctrip, because they may have booked through other channels, the reserved mailbox is not ours, we cannot receive the mail, we must contact Ctrip customer service one day in advance, get this information, and then Can stay. Because the apartment is unmanned, it will be inconvenient to communicate if there is a temporary problem.

|1.64km from city centerThe cost for this room was very cheap so I didn't expect a lot of frills. I had let them know that my plane landed at 9 am and was informed that the room would be ready at 2 pm, but they would secure our luggage until check in time. Sounded perfect but upon arrival was confronted by a person who ask how we got in (the door was unlocked), so I explain who we were and that we had paid reservation. Once he checked it out (lack of communication) he took our luggage. We went to the Abbey had breakfast and some beers hung out and talked to locals. Then we walked around the corner sat a few minutes till they opened the door. We were given our room key and two door keys, instruction on checking out and how to get a hold of him. The room was simple but clean;our luggage was in the room;plenty of towels, toilet paper, shower gel, and shampoo.I love the idea of having the keys so we could come and go as we pleased. The building is pretty old, with very tall windows and a nice view of a green yard with black/white birds. My first impression was oh no...but I settled down and checked out things they had everything we needed. Free wi-fi (password on bathroom door) shower/toilet in room (which I requested) clean beds and TV with quite a few channels. If you wanted glam with your room go somewhere else and pay for it. Yet if you want just a room to sleep and freshen up, close to bus stops, bank, ATM and food/drink establishments then this is the place for you. My sister didn't care for her bed but all beds seem out of whack compared to your own. I slept fine in mine. Even tho the main street was an ambulance easy route to the hospital the room was very quiet and with drapes drawn very dark.
