The main reason for staying at this hotel is that it is close to UCB. You can live here by visiting the university: you can walk to Sather Gate 15 for 20 minutes and CKC for 20 minutes. Another major feature of the hotel is its beautiful environment. The outdoor environment is like a garden villa, with flowers, green plants and beautiful houses. It is small and exquisite. The room facilities are very old, especially the carpet is estimated to have never been replaced, and it is not flattering. However, the size of the room is exactly the same for two people.

Lack of clarity on the additional resort fee charged made for a disappointing checkout. Although I booked in the Accor App and it showed a total price with some comments in taxes, nowhere did it mention on an additional resort fee of $45 per day. I even spent 7 mins with the checkout agent to see where it was mentioned in my app booking but she could not find it. Disappointed with the lack of visibility on additional charges

Very old American style, the rooms are clean and tidy. Because of the old style, the facilities in the room are different from the modern ones. The room size, bed and bathroom are smaller. Breakfast is an ordinary American breakfast, a variety of bread jams and coffee and juice, very convenient. It would be better if the price could be cheaper. The key is to be too close to the University of California, Berkeley, to go to school to work or visit relatives should be a good choice.

The Graduate is a great hottel across the street from the UC Berkeley campus and a great place to stay if you are visiting Berkeley or attending events on campus. The staff, including the cleaning people, demonstrated the highest standards in hospitality.

Wound up here for an unexpected multi-week stay while my landlord had work done at my house, and it was really lovely. The rooms are modern, bright, clean, and cozy, with fun design details. The location is great - near cute shops and tasty spots to grab coffee, meals, or snacks (or sit & eat in non-covid times) or take meandering walks through beautiful neighborhoods in the Oakland hills- safe to walk even past sundown! The rooms & parking lot feel safe - they open to an interior area secured from the street by a locked gate. The family who manages the property is accommodating and kind. The only downside for me was how much more expensive this was than my normal monthly rent - and the fact that it was an unplanned expense. Pricey for me, but a good value for hotels in the area. In all, don't think I could have found a better place to stay!

We stayed at this hotel at what must have been their busiest weekend ever due to UC Berkeley’s alumni/parents weekend. The hotel was packed but service was great. One standout moment was when we found out last minute we needed a cot in our room. At 10pm or so the night manager Izzy (I believe that was his name) was on hand to not only field every request for towels from multiple guests and deliver them himself but also deliver the cot to us. The big take away is that the manager did great but it seems like the higher ups really should have scheduled more people to assist on a night that was obviously packed at the hotel. But all in all great hotel

Stayed here for three nights so we could be walking distance to Mosswood Park to see the Halloween Meltdown festival. While there isn’t anything mind blowing going on here, we were satisfied with the cleanliness, location and price. The area seems mostly decent but there was some sketchiness nearby so be aware of where you decide to walk.

I stayed here a couple of weeks ago to visit family. long story short the management decided to kick me out for reasons I am still unclear on.check in was fine, the issues started when I had a friend come over to pick up his sweater that I had from my last visit. I received a call from front desk saying my friend had to park outside and I offered to pay for the parking but the front desk agent denied. So I had my friend leave and park his car outside of the property. after he left my friend came by to get ready for a movie we were attending later that evening. I received a call again from front desk telling me my friend had to leave. I couldn't believe what I was hearing so I asked him why and he said occupancy was for 1 adult, which I understand working as a hotel employee myself. However this was no later than 6 PM and nowhere near bed time, plus we were leaving to the movie soon and he was not going to be coming back with me. I pleaded for the agent to please understand what I was saying, that my friend was not going to be staying in the room with me. but no such luck. After a while of going back and fourth about how this is totally acceptable and that I do his same job at a different hotel the front desk agent began to actually yell over the phone at me totally unwilling to listen to any common sense. He eventually started to yell that he would be there with security to kick me out. Moments later I heard loud banging on my door but at this point I was totally in chock and scared to be completely honest. After a couple of minutes they stopped and shouted that they will call police. For once I felt a sense of relief knowing that police would show up since I really was doing nothing wrong and they were actually making me terrified. I then received a call in the room again this time from management telling me I needed to leave(no reason was given to me) and that if I dont comply they were calling the police. He said that he was already cancelled the reservation and I no longer that a right to stay in the room and he was already refunded my money back. The manager sounded calm but didn't seem apologetic or seemed to sympathize as if they had done nothing wrong. The only thing that made me leave was knowing they had cancelled my reservation without my consent and the fact that they were civil enough to at least refund me my money for the terrifying experience. almost a whole month has passed now and I still have not received any refund from this property and am still waiting. I notified Hotels.com about this and they treated me much better and even gave me a credit for the horrifying experience. To this day I wonder why they singled me out while other peopl had multiple people staying with them. Surely they dont verify number of adults for every single person. A part of me believes that it was due to their personal beliefs/religion. Which is discrimination. My advice is to stay the heck away from this property or they re more than capable of taking

Booked in a two-bedroom apartment suite, there are two rooms, each with a double bed and bathroom, a kitchen and living room in the middle, a microwave oven with a microwave oven, and a cup, plate and dishware. Very suitable for family living. There is a big bird on the tree outside the small balcony. There are many yachts in the small bay. Walking along the front road to the right, there is a German restaurant, German sausage and beer taste really good. The hotel's free breakfast is OK. Three kinds of sausages are eaten a day. One day there are bacon patties sausages, milk cereals, homemade waffles, and several kinds of bread jams. Originally, I wanted to live in San Francisco, but I said that the roads in the city are relatively ups and downs, the one-way line is complicated, and the parking cost is high. So I live in Auckland. It is convenient to drive the Auckland Bridge to San Francisco for two consecutive days. I found a Guilin rice noodle shop nearby in the evening, and it tastes so good! ! !

The pros: Inexpensive Decent location Room has decent amenities The cons: Nonchalant service Smells like **** Limited breakfast options Lots of yelling Near the train No HVAC As mentioned above, this inn is a great location, with a great price, and you can tell they're trying. They had a fridge, a microwave, and a decently-sized TV in the room. More than I expected for $80~ish a night. The receptionists were what'd you expect at this price point, and the staff were mostly positive. Their breakfast options were also fairly limited, but if you were really hungry, it would do the job. While the HVAC system was broken, they did offer an extra portable heater that did the job. Unfortunately some things that they can't control really make the inn far worse than it tries to be. The behavior of their guests, their proximity to the train tracks, and the people yelling outside the hotel really affect the way guests experience the inn. Other guests were smoking **** that could be smelled all the way down the hall and in other rooms, and they were piling up so much trash they just started to leave it by their doors in the hallway. This is in addition to the fact that they were yelling and screaming, and the doors did little to muffle the sound. The yelling continued through midnight and kept waking me up throughout the night. This yelling came both from guests in the hallway and from people walking on the streets. I could also see how the room had been worn down by prior guests, with dents in the lampshade, stains on the carpet, and even though I could tell the cleaning staff put effort in the bathroom (towel folded into swan, etc), the light was malfunctioning. Thankfully, it didn't bother me much, but for those who aren't used to ”roughing it,” this might not be the place for you.

I have been staying at this location since I first started visiting the Bay area about a year ago. I feel in love with the location right on the water a few minutes walk from Starbucks and other venues, Such a romantic locale. Comfortable, luxuriously so. The staff are always helpful and take care all my needs and check on my comfort every single day! The breakfasts always include fresh fruits, eggs and you can make your own waffles, I love the coffee it always tends to add that extra point to my stay! Above all I feel like I'm coming home to family when i return here and I will be return for a long time simply because I feel welcomed here.

I was in town for 2 day mosaic class less than a mile from the Motel 6. I travel with my dog so the location and dog policy were great. It is right on the Estuary across from the Coast Guard Station. My room faced the water. (#143) and I had fantastic sunsets every day. If you have not stayed in a Motel 6 before, come prepared. You need shampoo and a coffee pot. My room looked newly renovated. Staff was fantastic!

I have a new place to stay when I am in the Bay area. I visit at least 8-10 times a year and I was very impressed by this Hotel. The staff are great. Very helpful and friendly. The hotel is quiet at night and the rooms are big and clean. It is near the Oakland Airport and a short drive from any of the highways or bridges in the Bay area. Plenty of good food nearby. I would highly recommend this Hotel if you are in the area.

A good stay with helpful staff. Having 2 Kings beds in room meant our family of 4 could sleep more comfortably - most hotels have only queens. Only downside was some traffic noise from side of hotel our room was located. Airport shuttle is on demand and quick. It also stops at Car rental centre which was a Godsend when we arrived at Fox to pick up our car only to be told they could not honour our reservation as too many cars were returned with broken windows - a sorry reflection on the decay in California with petty crime out of control.

Arrived at Oakland Airport from Honolulu at 11:30pm with a flight out the next day at 6:30am. Decided to make a reservation at the Holiday Inn and Suites Oakland Airport even though there was only a short stay. Called the hotel on arrival and asked about a shuttle, we were advised to get our bags and give a call back it would be about 5minutes. Good to their word, we got bags called and the shuttle with a wonderful driver/gentleman was there to pick us up and get us to the hotel within 5-10minutes. The desk clerk couldn't have been nicer and quickly got us checked in and the shuttle driver was kind enough to bring our bags to the room saving us the trouble. Knowing we had to be back at the airport by 5:30am we asked about the shuttle, no problem just be in the lobby 10minutes beforehand. It was amazing the room was very clean and comfortable, the wakeup call on time and at 5:15am the same shuttle driver got us back to the Oakland Airport in 5-10 minutes again taking great care of us and our bags. Terrific experience and wonderful service.

This was the worst hotel out of 4 sub $75 hotels I stayed in during my trip to SF - and was the most expensive! Their advertising is deceptive, rooms are in incredibly poor shape, and is in a bad area. I would never consider staying here again! It's cheap lodging, so I'm not gonna complain about the datedness of the rooms, but they were also in poor condition. The shower valve leaked, and the shower temperature would vary between freezing cold and scalding hot. The refrigerator made a constant tapping sound. Most frighteningly, the swing bar door latch was broken. This is a safety risk, and literally a $5, 4 screw replacement. Beyond this, there were also cigarette butt holes in the bedding, and the bathroom window was wide open without a screen when I arrived. I decided to stay anyways, because by the time I checked in I didn't feel like going elsewhere. Around 12:30AM I was woken up to a woman screaming and yelling. I perceive this was in the parking lot. It woke up many other guests too, as I could hear them talking outside my room afterwards. I didn't go to check it out, but I did not see the police respond so I assume this is a common occurrence and the management does not care. Maybe I'm wrong, but I just wanted to go back to bed. An important note is this hotel is directly across from small buildings erected for the homeless to live. This in itself does not make me greatly uncomfortable, but I know it would make some other people feel this way. In the morning, I went to get breakfast, as advertised on their direct website as well as on the site I booked on. The staff member said they no longer offered breakfast ”due to covid-19”, but said the change was made very recently and they have not updated their website. Every other hotel I stayed at offered at least a takeout breakfast or better with the current covid situation (March 2022). They did not offer any discount because of this. They wouldn't even refund their ”Resort fee” in this consideration. On my way to a fast food place for breakfast I was chased by a homeless man, not exactly an issue of the hotel's, but it well represents the type of area it's in. I don't look for any sort of luxury stay for less than $75, but really this hotel is not worth it. It ended up being $86 after their resort fee, and for $15 more I could of stayed in a much nicer hotel. The only positive comment I have is the wifi was decent.

The hotel is very new, the decoration and facilities are well designed, and the services are in place. There is a spacious and bright public area on the second floor where you can drink tea and coffee for free, which is suitable for simple business meetings. It is walking distance from BART station, Amtrak train station, and Chinatown, which is very convenient. The only thing that needs to be considered is the surrounding safety issues. Because it is located in the city center and the city hall is right outside the window. There are many homeless people, so try to go out as little as possible at night.

Breakfast is good. In order to see the Warriors' game live here, I like the shuttle bus service. Because of the law and order in Auckland, it is quite late to watch the game. It is just that the hotel can pick up and drop off to watch the game and call to wait a few minutes to get there. If a person comes to the game, recommend this hotel.

The staff are the best - Trish, Lauren, Ree-Ann, Joey, Adham, Will, Anatero, Tupo, Jose, Laurence, Cole, Nikki, Trung, Martin, Theodore and the rest of the team made my long-term stay exceptionally comfortable. I felt quite at home and could have easily stayed longer had my travel plans not taken me across the globe. The breakfast buffet was more than adequate and the restaurant serves very delicious food. The pool and gym adds to the convenience and ambience.

I was extremely disappointed with my recent stay. I spoke w/ the front desk manager & with many other staff during my stay at this location. This turned what was supposed to be an exciting, exploratory visit to Oakland for house hunting, into a bit of a drag and disappointment. I have outlined some of my feedback below as I think this should be addressed on a larger level so that others do not have the same experience as us. First, I am FUMING irritated by how I was treated by the valet at this hotel. It happened twice in the same evening, with the same person. He was rude, talked down to me about how to speak to the valet staff about how I need my car to be parked, and had extreme attitude, after making me move my own car several times because he was overwhelmed. This is unacceptable. I have driven cars in hundreds of hotels both in and out of the U.S. and I am not about to be talked down to by a valet attendant. The hotel itself. This hotel needs help. The bathroom is dirty and broken down. We had a tile loose above our bed that made us nervous to sleep and the floors were pretty gross in the bathroom. It was an extremely warm weekend in Oakland and our room was so warm and the AC was not working properly. We had to call and have a fan brought to our room because we couldn’t sleep. Also we had a lot of issues with the television not working on the internet. So had major limitations on working Netflix etc. The hotel service. We needed plates and silverware for take out one night. We had been out house hunting until later in the evening and we called for plates/silverware. I took nearly an hour to get these items to our room and we had to call more than once. We also requested our room to be serviced on Saturday (we called earlier in the morning to double check they would be coming). We had a stain on our sheets we wanted changed. We arrived back at the hotel later around 9pm after another day of house hunting to find our room completely untouched and unchanged. It was so frustrating because we were exhausted. This time I decided to speak to the manager on duty (who was friendly and understanding) but again had to call more than once because of the delays. Our room did not end up fully changed until 11pm. We stayed in Oakland because we are relocating back to the Bay Area and wanted to check out the East Bay and in particular Oakland, Rockridge and the Oakland hills. This is nowhere near the welcome we expected and was a major turn off to Oakland. Ya’ll need to get it together.

I stay at the property every time I visit my family and friends in the bay area. I always can count on a clean quiet room and good service. I typically check in at night and there is always a nice staff member regardless the day that I check in. The food is good as well as I have tried several items.

Las habitaciones impecables y muy cómodas. Recientemente remodelado.

During Ctrip's stay of 21/7 to 24/7 for three nights, I was told that Ctrip had no reservations, because I arrived at the hotel at 10:30 in the evening, contacted Ctrip, and was tossed for 3 hours. Finally, Ctrip helped. I booked another Hilton hotel and had to rush to stay for one night. I booked this hotel for the other two nights. This Ctrip service attitude is still very good, admit that I did not book a hotel, the final solution is also satisfactory, but I still hope that Ctrip is not making such mistakes, after all, in the middle of the night can stay in the hotel, the angry feeling can be imagined And know. Let's talk about this hotel, the staff service is very good, the hotel is clean and hygienic, it is very convenient to go to downtown San Francisco, and will stay again next time.

I don't travel much but when I do I feel a bit uncomfortable in the big fancy new hotels. I don't like spending the money on fancy nor do I like the feel of new hotels. I like clean, cheap, unique, and good location. The Washington Inn offers all those things. I am into sustainability and extending the life of a building (It was built in 1913) is a very sustainable practice that I will always support. Air conditioning was good but I could also open the window as it was nice weather. This is a nice option. A bit loud with early morning garbage hauling but I am OK with that. I would stay here every time I am in Oakland. I am sure this is not the hotel for everyone but it worked for me.
