We fell in love with this place, it was such a beautiful old palazzo. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment on the top floor, and had so much space we kept losing each other! The furniture was all authentically old and lovely, the owner was very sweet and kind to my children, and I was sorry to only be staying one night. Would agree with what other reviewers have said about parking, we used the car park at Viale dell’Università / Piazzetta dei Saraceni which was only a short walk away. There are quite a few stairs up to the top floor apartment, and if you prefer sleek and modern appliances then this place will be wasted on you.

This amazing B&B has at its heart the owner, Mauro, who delights travellers with his warmth, his typically Italian Palazzo rooms and wonderful breakfasts. Every day I ate my breakfast - served in the room or choice to go to a bar - on my balcony overlooking the street next to the church. Always something to see - in the day and in the evening - people strolling, laughing, and cycling past. Such a wonderful atmosphere. At night the a/c was very effective, the bed very comfortable and after a hot shower, always plentiful water, I slept like a baby. Closing the windows and wooden doors out to the balcony ensured peace. Lecce is beautiful - I travelled to Gallipoli by train for a swim in the azure sea and a lovely lunch with vino. Yes, there are some little bits of plaster missing and paint - so if this matters to you .... I loved my little piece of heaven and as a solo female traveller I appreciated the safety, warmth and comfort of Palazzo Belli!

We truly loved our 2 day stay at Cadelli Luxury Suite in the 'One Bedroom Apartment' which is ground floor (maybe 3 steps to front door) All rooms were spotlessly clean The bedroom is large beautifully furnished, bed & pillows very comfy, lovely linen, very quiet, windows closed no noise - it is air conditioned. Big bathroom, good shower, fluffy white towels, usual toiletries, hairdryer etc. The Kitchen - is huge all amenities if you want to cook, fridge had some breakfast items, juice, yoghurt, bottled water. There is a Nespresso coffee maker, also cereal, jams etc and each morning Tania arrived with yummy fresh warm pastries & bread. This small boutique B & B is absolutely perfectly located for exploring Lecce - it is situated in a quiet little street behind the main Duomo -a 2 min walk to Piazza Duomo & 5mins to Piazza S.Oronzo ... and less than 15mins to the Train Station - a very easy straight forward route. Tania who checked us in is just delightful, full of wonderful suggestions of what to see & where to eat. Restaurant Tormaresca is one of her favourites, not touristy, a good mix /fusion of modern Italian and almost Asian - we thoroughly enjoyed it - 5 minutes from the B & B. We also ate at 'Le Zie ' original trattoria must book - so good. Also check out the wonderful deli Golosita del Salento around the corner very handy for that bottle of wine, olives, prosciutto, etc Thanks Tania for looking after us so well, we would love to return one day.

We were lucky enough to stay in the rooftop accommodation and it was so cute, clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The views from the top were great. Position is fantastic close to everything. Paulo was wonderful and helped where ever he could. Be aware though there are steep stairs and a lot of them to get to your room, the corridors are really tiny and it is a little bit of an effort with Luggage. However it is well worth it. Recommend to make this your accommodation in Lecce you will not be disappointed..Thank you Paulo !

Just stayed here for 4 nights . The location is perfect , right in the heart of the historical centre . The rooms are very modern and clean with a great bathroom too. Really comfy bed and pillows . Breakfast is taken in a lovely little restaurant just around the corner where you can choose a delicious pastry to have with your coffee. Luca really couldn`t be more helpful with everything. He arranged a private transfer to and from Brindisi airport for me which was reasonable and reliable . He also arranged the most enjoyable 3 hour cookery class where I learned to make 3 different types of pasta and then got to eat it afterwards as well..... it was great fun and very informative . I will certainly stay here again when I visit Lecce .

I really loved this place and only give it a 4 because I would not return because the air conditioning needed to be better. This is an air bnb run by Danilo who has had it for 4 years. It oozes charm and thoughtful refurbishment that won us over completely. Well priced and superbly located.

We never knew we could have access to such a beautiful and historic Palace in Lecce! We stayed two nights in the Suite Barocca room. Just great! Beautiful interior design, together with amazing views of Lecce! The host, Graziana, was super welcoming and interesting to speak to about Palazzo Marini. Truly a piece of art, with a modern concept in a historic city. Great location too. Wish I could have the breakfast every morning :) Very happy about our stay. I can only recommend this place.

Staying with Beatrice at the Palazzo Sant’Anna is like the fantasy of visiting your very wealthy and elegant, Italian relative who has always made it clear that you are her favorite. It starts when you remove your shoes on entry then notice the aroma therapy with soothing background music and carries on while you are shown everything you could want to enjoy your stay. She gives you her card with her 2 phone numbers, just in case. Breakfast, at an 8 seat, formal dining table, is a wide array of crostatas, frittatas, and savory and sweet baked goods as she explains that Italians eat more breads and sweets than salads for breakfast. A significant number are either gluten or lactose free. Many of the offerings are still warm from the oven (even the hard boiled eggs), except for the 5-6 cakes, friselle with toppings, and thin sliced meats and cheeses. She is happy to whip up your favorite style of eggs. Dairy, almond, oat and soy milk, along with sparkling and still water are available. Before you got up, she squeezed fresh juices using “a machine like my grandmother used” and still has a light dusting of flour on her apron yet manages to ‘fare la bella figura’. All through the day you find a new variety of different baked treats and fresh, sliced, and peeled fruits set out in your room and in the entry room. Lobby, dining room, and bedroom decor is impressively graceful and stylish and includes a group of 5 large, stopped clocks, each showing a different time with the hope that you will find the one that suits you. Beds are large and comfortable. The nearest major road is 2 blocks away and traffic noise is muted and only rarely noticeable. Her attitude has been instilled in all staff. Michaelle and Francesco greet you by name and seem to enjoy finding ways to enhance your stay. They show sincere concern for your wellbeing and offer help or advice which seems heartfelt but not cloying. We spent 5 nights here and they were the clear high point of a 15 day tour of Puglia. Pro tip: Breakfast is scheduled from 8-10 but no one else shows up until 9:30 and most are still sitting there in conversations at 11:00. Be warned, if you keep eating, they will keep feeding you as Beatrice and Michaelle bring out special treats just for you to try.

The reviews for this place were really good. However we were all very disappointed. We were visiting Lecce for my cousins wedding and there were 7 of us staying at the Suite Palace Castromediano (apartments). We turned up late which was dealt with and we were able to check in fine but from that it all went down hill. The rooms smelt damp, my fiance and I were in the double (Agato) and there was mould on the wall and bits of paint falling off. The towels did not always get replaced, we didn't get enough toilet roll & sometimes we didn't get anymore. My sister had to go out and buy more. The room wasn't cleaned one day and breakfast wasn't very good. It was difficult to contact the staff as they were not on site until 4pm. English was very limited, which isn't to be helped but it made things difficult. I don't know if the hotel is better but our experience was not a pleasant one and we would not return. It is such a shame as the location was really good.

Great base for a visit to Lecce in South Italy. The hotel is right in the centre, near the Roman ruins. It is very well run, staff very helpful and courteous, The rooms are huge! the beds are the Emperor size, one size up from super king. Bathroom are also very spacious.. Very good breakfast. The one slightly disappointing thing was the dinner at the hotel the first night. Not the best food in Italy ! However there is a amazing roof bar. One great advantage is the valet parking, it is impossible to park in Lecce so this is invaluable. The cost is 15 Euro per 24 Hours. We stayed 4 nights in this hotel in Lecce, it's a great base to visit L'Apuglia.

Located about 1 km from the Old City of Lecce with it's Baroque Churches and buildings this is an ideal place to stay in Lecce. The hotel has car parking and being a blue badge holder I was offered a very convenient and prestigious parking space right next to the front door. If you have ever driven in Italy in a town or city you can understand why once parked you might not want to move again until you are fully recovered from the driving experience. Actually things are not that bad when you realise that non of the locals really want to collide with you but it is quite normal to try and fit as many cars into the available space as possible. Traffic lights are only there for decoration and roundabouts need speakers blasting out the Blue Danube to lubricate the circulation. The rule is "give way to the one who got there first". Also if you have a horn why not let the world hear it!! Check in was very welcoming and helpful and our cases were taken off us and swiftly delivered to our room. The air-conditioning was magically ferocious and we quickly got it at the right level to enable us to sleep under just a sheet. Then a knock at the door produced the promised kettle, cups and teabags reassuringly bearing the name Winston and the European Certification "English Breakfast". This was a real honour since kettles etc., are normally allowed only into superior rooms. A supermarket on the corner of the street supplied the essential milk and we were set up for our 4 day stay. Somehow Italian coach drivers manage to get there vehicles into the car park and having off-loaded the French visitors it was a lovely opportunity to practice my French again. French Tourists do tend to create mayhem at breakfast but the staff worked very hard to ensure that the buffet was restocked and we felt protected by the girls who knew that the way to keep the English happy was to give them each a teapot with the teabag already in and brewing. The French don't really like strong tea and tend to make infusions with luke warm water and a bouquet garni which they need to weaken before threatening a Coq au Vin with the residue. The Italians on the other hand know about coffee and are amused when we have an americano and even dose it with milk. A couple of Espressos in the morning and no wonder you drive like a racing driver! Our stay at this hotel was wonderful. The staff were all great and seemed to love having English visitors as much as we loved being in their lovely country. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was so helpful. One of the girls in the breakfast room was so pleased to have done my laundry and ironed my shirts but quite disappointed to find out that I was already married. We even visited Brindisi from here by train and at Euro 2.90 each way per person this was cheaper than a mere platform ticket in the UK.

This is a pleasant hotel and we seleted it for its convenient location and good free covered parking. It was our base to tour this area of Puglia. It is a business hotel so it caters to conventions but we never felt overlooked. Our "superior": room was spacious in the tower building and overlooked the pool area. It was very quiet. Breakfast buffet needs a bit of attention when they are busy with tours or a convention since items are not replenished in a timely manner. The breakfast room opens to their dining room and we chose to eat there and it was most pleasant. The breakfast room can be very noisy and crowded. We did enjoy dining in their restaurant every evening after a full day of touring. Food was excellent and featured regional specialties. Also local wine was very good and reasonable. We would recommend this hotel if you are driving for its connvenience and it is a short 15 min walk into the heart of the historic old town.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is minimalist modern, and pristine throughout. The beds are huge and comfortable, the bathrooms very smart. The air conditioning is quiet and effective. Superb breakfast-I wish we could have kept the orange juicer! Very helpful reception and other staff. Plentiful car parking. A short taxi journey to the stunning centre of Lecce cost us around 15 Euros. Recommended without hesitation.

Stayed here for 1.5 weeks on over two occasions in both a standard room and a suite. The hotel is immaculate and one of the nicest HGI properties I've ever visited - the pool roof deck, spacious lobby, and well-appointed (and very clean) rooms are all great reasons to stay here. Also: friendly check-in staff, excellent/efficient housekeeping, free parking, and just a 20-minute walk to anywhere in the Centro storico are all really important positives. However, I really take issue with the breakfast, and particularly the breakfast staff. Apart from the gentleman inside the breakfast area dutifully serving customers, the other restaurant staff (generally 2-3 people, typically 2 ladies and one man) were consistently rude and never did their jobs in cleaning the tables, resetting silverware, etc. One would walk in 1 hour before the close of breakfast, there would be a dozen empty tables, not a single one cleaned. No eye contact, no proactive service, and sorry, I have never tasted such awful coffee in Italy. Apart from this, I would absolutely return to the hotel and as a Hilton Honors Gold member, just take the points and have breakfast at one of the numerous bakeries/cafes nearby.
