The room is located on the east wing of Schönbrunn Palace. Previously the room was used to receive heads of state and foreign guests. No matter the room facilities, the location or the view from the window is impeccable. If you must say the disadvantages, the shower area is slightly slippery, and breakfast needs to go to the parkhotel not far away, which is relatively average. Although the price is very high, but the room can accommodate four people, considering the absolute value for money.

Booked an airport transfer through the hotel about a month before we even went and service via email was already wonderful. Airport transfer desk was easy to find and next to the Vienna Pass desk, very useful! Arriving at the hotel our room was ready before check in which was nice as we could put our luggage away and freshen up before our first day of exploring. Smooth, friendly check in, good info and clear English which helped. We had dinner one evening in the hotel restaurant. Veal meatballs and the roast beef, wow. Felt very luxurious but affordable prices. Our waitress was very attentive but not stifling. It is a 5 minute walk down a straight road to the Schonbrunn site (palace, gardens and zoo etc) Also an underground station (green line U4) located by the palace a tram line stop (52 & 60 red route) is also opposite the hotel (technical museum side) Some noise comes from the busy road junction & train line which is on a bridge. Nothing that ruined our visit or stopped us from resting but worth a mention. Room was clean and the bed was comfy, what more do you need for a city break for exploring? A welcoming shower for the end of the day too! The TV didnt have any english channels but it did have screen mirroring so we actually watched netflix from our tablet at night with the free (sometimes glitchy wifi) a nice touch! Looking back at our visit I cant find one fault, only wish we were there longer and got to try more of the menu! Thanks to the hotel for great service, a lovely stay & my boyfriends birthday treat!! Really appreciated!

An impressive majestic building housing an excellent hotel, which if situated in the centre of Vienna would be considerably more expensive. The location, however, is excellent, being directly opposite the exquisite Schoenbrunn Park, with the impressive Palace, the zoo and the amazing botanical greenhouse. The convenient U Bahnhof just across the road provides an easy ten minute ride to the Karlsplatz and the centre of Vienna. The accommodation is of the highest standard, with very spacious and well equipped rooms and bathrooms. All areas are spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly and efficient, if a little impersonal. The breakfast, hot and cold buffet, was particularly impressive. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vienna. My sole complaint would be the lack of English channels on the TV.

We stayed in the hotel for four nights and had a nice stay. The hotel is very well located (2 mins walk to the U Bahn and Schloss Schönbrunn) and the beds are really comfortable! Our room (2 double beds) had enough space for the three of us and our luggage, the bathroom was a bit small but sufficient. The room was fine, although there were a couple things which could be better. Our room was in the basement and the window could only be opened a few centimeters, so we felt there was bad air flow through the room and this meant we didn’t sleep all that well. This could be improved by staff ventilating the room when they clean it each day. Also only one sachet of ‘3 in 1 coffee’ (coffee, milk, sugar) was provided which tasted awful and doesn’t suit those who don’t like sugar in coffee. We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel because the bakery at the U Bahn and cafe oberlaa nearby was great. We’d stay again :)

I have booking this hotel for 2 nights. The room was okay but old equipments bed and chair I don’t know it was their style but it look really old for me. Breakfast was not good for me because they don’t have such much choices to choose it is not value for my expense for 2 nights cost 270 euro bcoz what General Manager should know even if breakfast it just complimentary but it is very important if they room old but guest go to experience in the breakfast is good guest will be feel better. I saw Asian people they might Vietnamese they was shock with the breakfast it seem like they don’t know how to do with breakfast that only egg ham and bread... they might need rice or more dish for looking, But in restaurant only bread. In front office, why hotel don’t have first aid? Unbelievable in hotel don’t have this for guest... I was a bit fever from long trip and cold weather I asked my husband to check if they have a pill of paracetamol... responded no have first aid in hotel such a small thing need. One more thing, I asked waitress if they have ketchup 1 pcs for me she said she doesn’t have I don’t believe in hotel’s kitchen don’t have such a simple sauce like that... anyways, I hope there improve their breakfast and also reset up the restaurant table and chair bcoz it too narrow to walk and hit other people when they carry their foods ...

Summary.- overrated and very disappointing. For once the web has got the ratings totally wrong. Check in - never had such a rude self centred arrogant person behind the desk. I know it was Old Year Eve but he is just everything I despise in people believing he's doing you a favour coming into the hotel even if you never return the turnstile will always be full of more suckers. Asked for a quiet room when I booked 6 months ago, did not happen (should have known). Did ask to be moved, said they do do that. It almost as if they hate you booking in advance, get the advantage of early booking prices then make sure every aspect of your stay is made as miserable as possible. Needed an extra pillow - said they do NOT give extra pillows. Breakfast at €11.90 is pathetic, small and tasteless and boring. Sad when reception acts like a bombastic narcissist (I've seen this so many times) because people checking in have had the opportunity to travel and they have to work and they go out their way to ensure that they do eveyrhing possible to mess up your stay)

We arrived to the hotel too early to check in, but the staff was able to hold our bags so we could walk around the city. The hotel sits about 15 minutes from the Schönbrunn Zoo and Palace; if you have small kids, the zoo is a must see! The room was clean and a crib was provided for us, which was a great help. The pillows for the bed were very flat, which I think it just a European thing. The bathroom and adjoining room didn't have additional outlets near mirrors, so if you need to curl or straighten your hair, you'll have to bring your own mirror or use a phone. The restaurant was a little pricey compared to other places for dinner, but I think the breakfast buffet was the same as other places like Aida Cafe. The food was delicious, but for the same price in town you could get more food. Dessert (Kaiserschmarrn) and breakfast was delicious, filled with lots of Austrian specialties. The staff was great, very friendly and accommodating. The hotel's location is great, right near a public bus stop and easy for Ubers to find. If you're a family traveling on a budget and want a good hotel with wonderful staff and an easy location, Hotel Bergwirt Schönbrunn is the hotel for you!

We were there for a weekend trip and the location was good and had nice facilities. Transportation was at short walking distance and it was easy to get to the city center or turisitc atractions. We also found cheap and convenient places to have a drink or eat. the apartment was easy to find and the system with the key delivery scheme worked well for us. Our apartment had enough space and the furniture was quite ok. Also bathroom had enough appliances and few ammenities ( towels, soap, hairdryer) The kitchenette was quite complete and we had enough dishes, cups, silverware and also a coffee machine and gratis coffee capsules. Internet worked also well and we did not really use the tv but it would be fine to watch it if we had a longer stay.

By underground in 5-7 min u get in the center area of the city 7. In the lobby is a coffee machine where for 1.50€ u can get a decent esspreso 8 .room is big , spacious , big bed , a big chair with foot stool next to bed. Very clean 9. The room size is small but very design, although the shower room is next to the big bed, but there is no sense of dampness. In the morning, the ground is basically dry. There is almost no noise in the hallway or out of the window, and the sound insulation is excellent. The horse-drawn specimen in the lobby is particularly eye-catching. The location of the hotel is very good. It takes 10 minutes to get to the most prosperous commercial street in Vienna, Graben Street, where luxury brands are available. Right 5 minutes to the Austrian supermarket chain Billa, less than 10 minutes to Karl. Square, U1/2/4 three subway lines can be transferred, very convenient. In fact, apart from Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna is slightly remote. Others such as the National Grand Theatre, the Golden Hall, Stephen's Cathedral, the Hofburg Palace and the Net Red Sacher Coffee Shop are all within two kilometers of walking units. In short, Ferdinand is very recommendable, good value for money. At check-in, you will be charged a pre-authorization deposit of EUR 100. The city tax will be charged upon check-out. We stayed for 5 nights and received 19.8 euros.

Good hotel in common. Good breakfast, nice responsive staff, though a little unskillful (can't print a document out so that the image takes the whole list, not just a tiny space in the corner which is impossible to see and read), sauna, great design. The only issue is windows, which lack quality. They let cold and noise, cigarette smell go through into rooms from outside. However in common we're happy with the stay.

After read a number of reviews, I really didn't know how I'd feel staying here. So what's good first; Staff were very friendly and helpful. As I entered the hotel, it was grand, nice enough with a grand piano there to add to the sophistication. The restaurant was nice, and lunch we had there was good. But Breakfast. Fantastic. Definitely 5 stars. Not an full Irish breakfast, but tis Europe after all and was a very nice buffet set up. Location is good, with the cities connections well flagged by other reviews. Right, the OK. Not bad. Just OK. We stayed on the 5th floor. And a review had refered to it already, but a slap of paint would not go astray, hall way and bedroom in total could do with an up-grade. Really not a 4 star hotel room. It wouldn't take much, but it would be grand for a group of lads on a stag, but definitely not for a romantic get away. That said. Bed was comfortable enough. TV, had 20 odd channels, only 3 news channels in English. No Kettle????? Why???? Anyway, ok price. Ok hotel. Good food. Good location. Would go elsewhere if/when I return to this beautiful city.

The room is really great, the view is great, the breakfast is also great, the view on the top floor is invincible, I also watched a sunrise, and I drank a glass of wine at night. There is a subway station opposite, one stop to Stephen's Cathedral, but two people should take a taxi, cheap and good cars. Rating 4.5, the pre-authorization deposit has not been released for half a month.

My husband son and I stayed at this hotel when first arriving into Vienna. The hotel itself is beautiful, lovely service and room was fantastic. We had a deluxe double room which was spacious and also came with tea coffee making. We had an extra bed for our son. Room was a big size for the three of us. Bathroom was really nice too all the amenities you need. We did not get breakfast while staying here it was expensive - instead choosing to have breakfast at cafe central which is a minute walk from hotel and reasonably priced ( cheaper than the hotel buffet breakfast at hotel ). We are generally not buffet style eaters preferring cereal or toast, eggs and coffee or juice so cafe central was perfect for us and an easy one min walk in the morning (not crowded at all on opening!). We also walked to another cafe one day which was great as well for a coffee and bread roll & egg/museli etc for 1/4 price. Hotel is in a great location in Vienna, the street was all lit up for Christmas too and Xmas markets within walking distance in all directions only a few minutes walk some smaller markets. The big Christmas market at the Rathaus was about a 10 min walk (a must with kids/teens) There is a great Italian restaurant a minute walk from hotel with some great dinner options as well. Cafes and restaurants are all within walking distance. Walk to St Stephens cathedral was maybe 5-10 mins. Also walking distance Hofburg palace was 2 mins from hotel. Overall great location lovely hotel. A star off for no heated pool though otherwise amazing hotel good location and would definitely stay again when in Vienna.

This hotel is pretty and the room is laid out well. But there were some maintenance issues that never got fixed. First, my safe in room 729. I couldn’t get reception to answer, (irritating) so I went there. The woman at reception said that someone could come assist, but maintenance wouldn’t be in until the next morning. She said that Vienna was a very safe city and there was no need for worry because there was never any crime of any kind. Also, they had a way of knowing who would go in the room. Inwardly, I rolled my eyes. If they know who goes in the room, if something was stolen, it’s my word against that person’s that this item was even in there. Besides that, the item would still be gone. Then when my boyfriend and I were arranging for a taxi, the bellhop informed us that taxi drivers in Vienna are notorious for ripping off tourists. No crime of any kind, ehh? I couldn’t get the faucets (in either sinks) to stop up and I needed to hand wash some items and soak something. Someone came up to show me, but he said after looking they weren’t designed to close. The next morning, after we returned from breakfast, the lock that you use to bolt the door had fallen and was preventing the door from being opened all the way. We asked housekeeping to help, but she couldn’t and called for someone to come up. Thirty mins later, no one had come, so back I went to the lobby and got the bellhop to call. He said there was no request in, so housekeeping hadn’t called. About five mins later, mtc came and unscrewed the bolt, allowing us to enter. While he was there, he tried to fix the safe, but even fresh batteries didn’t fix it. No one ever came to fix it. While the hotel is beautiful, there’s nowhere nearby to eat, no shopping, etc. (except a Starbucks and one bakery). The breakfast buffet is pretty weak for 25euros. We ordered off the menu and it took about 25 mins to get items that weren’t even cooked (cheese, ham, etc). (Meaning there would be no reason for the long delay.) My espresso was cold when I got it. I really want to end this on a good note, so let me say that the staff was really nice and the room was spotless. It was also quiet.
