Stayed here for 3 nights to visit Lyon while touring France with my wife The hotel is OK for the price but while clean and comfortable enough it is beginning to feel a bit tired. It’s been maintained to a certain level but is now feeling in need of a major refit I’ve stayed in Ibis hotels before where the general layout was similar but they felt more modern. That said we were only paying about £45 per night so a good deal and as we had been forced to push the budget earlier on in our tour, this helped get the average per night costs back on track It’s next to the huge Hospital East (Hospitaux Est) so you do hear a few sirens going on We didn’t use the restaurant for dinner but they do a pretty decent breakfast for a about 10 Euros For us it was important to have secure parking which there was except the pedestrian gate to the hotels carpark was permanently open Getting into the centre of town was easy enough, you walked over the road and either caught the C9 bus to Bellecour central area or you caught the C8 bus to Grange Blanch then hopped onto the Metro green D line to Bellecour ( which was quicker as it avoided much of the traffic) The tickets let you use both bus and Metro and you can buy tickets for 1 hour, 24 hours. 48 hours etc., so a really convenient way to explore Lyon

Not much to add to what has been already said about this hotel. Though, I should accept that I spent just one night there and I do not bid to be absolutely objective. The most important asset, in my opinion, is parking: it is free, spacious and absolutely safe. Rooms are very small (it is the fact – it cannot be changed) – in my opinion. They are certainly not for the romantic or long-term stay including for the site seeing in Lyon if you decide to stay for more than one night. It is quite far from the Lyon centre (8-10 kms). There is a tram T2 somewhere near the hotel to bring you to the centre of the city, but the closest tram stop in Bron is something like 500 meters walking distance from the hotel. I did not try, but I guess that it may not be very easy to find without somebody’s advice or a detailed map. Though, the staff may be very helpful in finding where and how to go in Lyon. Breakfast is more or less the same as in other hotels of the same type and level in Lyon. Though, the area where it (breakfast) is served is quite odd. Quite worn tables and chairs which look like that somebody got rid of them and the hotel picked them up. Furniture in the dining room does not add to the image of this, basically quite acceptable hotel for one-two nights stay.

Not sure what to say that complements this establishment. We arrived to find the restaurant was closed until the beginning of September, whilst this was posted on our booking platform no notification was sent individually. We were advised to go next door, this was also closed. We did finally find somewhere. The rooms are set out in a motel style block arrangement, our bathroom was for those that know, had been uplifted from Brittany ferries. The room looked out into the trash area, separated by the prison style fencing that is the prodominant feature of this place, giving it the overall impression of a prison camp. The smell at breakfast was of an overflowing toilet and very unpleasant. The breakfast was ok, would I come here again, definitely not, true it's cheap but for very good reasons.

This is a correction of a previous post in which I wrongly attributed the hotel to a particular chain. Warning to Tom-Tom users: Bron and Lyon are separate towns and both of them have a street named after Maryse Bastie. So be careful to use Bron rather than Lyon as your destination town. We got caught out! This hotel has rooms around a courtyard with a parking space for every room and good security. The rooms are quite good for the price, comfortable beds, good bathrooms and wifi. The breakfasts are bog standard - with the usual self-service arrangements. It is not particularly good as a location to explore Lyon which is a city with horrendous parking problems. But this location is absolutely fine as a stopover on the way south. The staff are friendly and with a price of EU 47.20 per night it is certainly good value for money.

The hotel is close to the Fair and Bron Airport of Lyon. Arriving is only with car/taxi possible. Hotel has the concept of video-games from 90s. Nice concept for children, with two nintendo consoles and one old atari board available. The latter is only for Super Mario. Reception (no real desk, it is in the game area) is open till 09:30PM. Rooms are painted new, actually from old Novotel part. Bathrooms are truly new, but no amenities are available. To use Pool shared with Novotel, you have to pay 5,-EUR/person. Although the hotel-webpage (accor.com) lists the pool, giving the impression it is free for guests. The lady at breakfast is very kind and children friendly. The choice at breakfast is not really different than normal IBIS. Maybe I wrongly waited a bit difference for that between IBIS Sytles and IBIS.

Wife and I stayed overnight whilst attending a concert at the Groupama Stadium. The receptionist who greeted us said she had been to the concert the previous night and had mistakenly purchased shuttle/bus for the night we were going. She kindly gave us her tickets and refused any payment. She went beyond what was required by doing this and made our day by her kindness. So obviously i raté the staff with 5 stars. The hotel is basic but very clean and ideal for a short visit.
