Hotel service was good and the waiters were very helpful. Breakfast place where you can eat while looking out across the lake. There is a rich selection of breakfast foods. In addition to the general continental breakfast, chicken congee has been prepared for Asian travelers intimately, and "Chicken Congee" is also marked in Chinese next to it (although I can see that most of the hotels on the day were European tourists, only Cats three or four sporadic Asian travelers)! I personally prefer cheese and so I have n’t tried it. I do n’t know how the chicken congee tastes, but the sincerity is definitely full. We arrived at the hotel in the morning, thinking that we had to store our luggage before the room was ready. It turned out that we were overjoyed. The room was clean, the toilet was large but the shower was small. The bed was comfortable and soft. At this time, a hotel full of history, celebrities have stayed in every room in the hotel. The thick introductory book on the desk was just a page opened to the celebrity who had stayed in the room where you were. At the turndown service in the afternoon, I also delivered apples, dried fruits and muffin in tin cans. 😍

This hotel was exactly as advertised. A great buy off season and comfortable during our stay. We would return. The bed was comfortable, bath arrangements were as described, there was room service to ask for extras, breakfast was the BEST we experienced in Switzerland and we would not hesitate to stay here again. The hotel was central to everything that was happening in Lucerne. We could see the open air market, walk to the train station, the sights and shopping.

What an amazing hotel! My stay was Superb. The hotel facilities were great, room fully equipped. The bed was super comfortable, actually the entire room was very cozy, nicely decorated, very well cleaned, all properly disinfected, the fig shower gel is amazing. The location, I couldn’t have asked for a better location, it is in the middle of the old town, you walk outside the hotel and the lake is on the right hand side right in-front of you. The staff were super nice, friendly, smiling and helpful and I mean all of them, including the kitchen staff. Breakfast is nicely done and very fresh as well. I have nothing negative to say about the hotel, I was well treated there, the receptionist saw how tired I was after a long drive from Lugano and she was very patient with us. I definitely stay here again next time.

Please consider all reviews from previous guests before booking this hotel. If there’s a -1 rating I would give it to this one. Hotels like this should just shut down and not be in this business. Bring your rude staff with you too. This is the worst hotel in the world! Upon arrival you would feel that you made the wrong decision. The hotel smelled so dirty and old. Who knows when was the last time they cleaned it. The people working there does not have a clue what they’re doing. They can’t find my reservation so they have to call the manager to find it. Bad customer service. I’ve had a couple of bad customer service experience but nothing compared to this one. The manager was VERY VERY RUDE!!! Every time you ask her help, her response is “I don’t know!!” like she doesn’t work there. She was not willing to help people who paid decent money to stay at this horrible place. The hotel amenities were horrible too but not as bad as the customer service. We stayed in the building not connected to their check-in lobby. The building was a place that filmmakers would use to create horror movies. The lobby at this building has no steady light. It was on a timer and would turn off after 5 mins. So when you wake up in the middle of the night to go to the shared bathrooms, you would find yourself unsafe to pass by the lobby since there were no lights. They have a washer and dryer which is great but no English instructions. When you call the receptionist for assistance, she would response in a discourteous way. Nobody in this hotel wants to help you. What they do is to take your money and leave you hanging. Please don’t ruin your trip to the beautiful country of Switzerland by staying at this awful place.

The hotel is not far from the Lucerne train station and it takes about 10-15 minutes to walk. When I first arrived at the Lucerne train station, there was no sense of direction. In fact, it was out of the station to go in the direction of the bridge, and then walk along the lake. It is better to have a Google map to navigate. We are out of the train station and take the No. 21 bus three stops, then cross the road to see the hotel at the corner. The hotel is of domestic economy type, we booked a triple room, two beds together, a separate bed. There are no kettles and disposable items in the room. It is recommended to bring them. There is no air conditioning in the room, but there is a standing fan. I feel that the heat can open the door of the balcony at night. We went to the end of July. At night, I feel that it is cool outside!

My wife and I spent a night in this hotel on Saturday 18th of July. I have to admit, I was really disappointed. I live in Geneva, and for the price paid in your hotel (CHF 255), I could have found a much better value for money hotel room in Geneva, even though is quite pricey city. I wanted to book a room, hesitated for a while but eventually decided to book a suite, thinking that the room would look nice and all. Everything was falling apart. The horse for the Jacuzzi was broken, paint was falling from the ceiling, there was hairs on the floor and dust under the bed, there was toilet paper around the fire alarm, and the view supposed to be a city view was actually a view over some roofs - with direct view in our room. I have attached a few pictures so it would hard for you to say that I am exaggerating. So I checked in, got the key, walked around the room and went back to the Krone Hotel. I spoke to the person at the desk, who was no less that the front office manager. I even have his name on paper: Daniel Friedrich. I told him and explained what was wrong with the room, but with all the worse arrogance, the king you would think only you can find in Paris, did not care at all about my saying and dismiss all my complains. Hi answer was the booking is non-refundable and we do not have any other room available. In other words: bug-off. Lucerne and the surrounding are really beautiful, so and the end of the day this is all I will remember. But still: at this time the situation is complicated, and we ask Swiss citizens to spend their summer holiday time in Switzerland, which is the best thing to do for the economy and hospitality business. How can this type of behaviours can attack Swiss customer? I am sure that the staff at the hotel do not care much about Asian tourists, who they will never see again, but may be because they have seen too many of them, they think they can do the same with Swiss nationals? That was a bad experience, and even though I will return to Lucerne sometime soon, I will make sure that I will not book in any of your hotels : Krone, Stella nor Magic.

In Switzerland, three cities have been moved. If the location of this hotel is not raining, it is still acceptable. It is about 12 minutes walk from the railway station terminal. You can take pictures around the lake. There is no scenery in the hotel. It is a domestic seven-day specification. We don’t know what the office building is facing in our room. There is a night in the middle of the night, but it is clean, the bed is the softest, and the elderly are not suitable. The front desk service is warm and courteous, breakfast is what the Swiss standard should have and delicious.

Absolutely loved our stay! It was about a 10 minute walk from the train station, located right on the border of Old Town. Both receptionists we talked to were really friendly and gave us free popcorn at check in. I would get the 9 CHF breakfast in the morning. Food in the area is really expensive so I liked being able to fill up on their yogurt bar. Had great nut and seed options for toppings. There was great oatmeal but I would avoid the eggs. Also had fresh bread and standard cheese and meat. It’s 13CHF if you decide in the morning so reserve the night before. Pro: The 3 bed bedroom was small but that was expected. I absolutely loved that there was a real thick mattress like I would sleep on at home. I haven’t stayed at a hostel yet that had a real mattress so I was very happy. I slept better than I have in a month of traveling! Cons: The biggest con was the private bathroom. Although it was really clean, the walls are like a color etched glass. You can see a figure moving in the shower while you’re sitting on your bed. If the person showering gets too close to the glass you get a whole show. That would be pretty awkward if you didn’t know the person you were sharing the room with. There also wasn’t lockers in the room or a cage under the bed. Overall would absolutely stay again!

A few minutes walk from Lake Lucerne. The apartment is a two-story loft. One bed downstairs. Two beds upstairs. The bed is opposite the skylight. The apartment facilities are perfect. You can cook your own meals and have a small terrace. The small wine room is a simple color of wood and white. Overall the house is very satisfied, but there is a little dissatisfaction because the room was already set up without giving the apartment building password and room password in advance. I ca n’t go downstairs to hit the owner. The phone didn't work, and I was trapped downstairs twice before and after waiting for a resident in the building to open the door before we could get in. The service was not very good.

We stayed there for a night (3 beds room) before going back home - so we were looking for a peaceful and restful night so that we would be fully energized for the way back. What we had was just the opposite : the room was very old, and because of the wooden floor, any step was making a noise. During the night, the person having the room above us was just walking -- meaning that we had to hear this noise for part of the night. The bathroom is just very small, with no window. There is no separate toilet. The kid's bed (in addition) wasn't very comfortable. The adults' bed matrass was just not comfortable. Breakfast was very common -- big issue was absolute ignorance of sanitary context by some guests -- they were not wearing masks -- and the staff just not daring to say anything. Valet parking service was average (and expensive at 25 CHF per night). Staff was polite but not very helpful -- no one to help bringing the luggage in the room despite no elevator. So all-in-all, despite being well situated, I would not recommend this place for a restful and peaceful stay. I thought I would try a less expensive option (still we paid 345 EUR/night) but next time, I would go for a palace, not for this place.

Nice hotel near shops and restaurants in the heart of lucern, beds are comfy, shower had good pressure, employees were nice, hotel rents adapters for your phone, iPad, etc. in case you forget yours, hard to get to on google maps because there are no official roads around hotel, you have to pull in off the Main Street, reset google maps to walking and drive on sidewalk till you get to hotel, it will freak you out but it’s the only way to do it unless you use the parking structures which are bit of a walk, use the valet parking, it’s 27.00 but worth it since you really don’t need to drive once there. Breakfast is good, eggs and pancake is ordered once you sit down, definitely filling. Highly recommend.

Be sure to live in a room with a balcony next to the river. The scenery outside the window is impeccable and beautiful. The old lady at the front desk was very enthusiastic and introduced Lucerne's attractions and how to play for a long time. The hotel is relatively small, but the environment and sanitation are ok, and it is very warm. It takes only about ten minutes to walk from the train station.

Traveling alone, set single room, very satisfied 1. The room is clean, comfortable and spacious. Two glass bottles of water and six tea bags are prepared, very careful 2. The front desk staff are very professional and enthusiastic. They can give clear and professional guidance wherever they want to play, and have a very good attitude. 3. The location is very good, next to the train station (go to various places, to Titlis), the dock is in front of the train station (lake tour or boat to St. Regis), and the bus station is next to the train station (go to Pilatus) The cable car can take the No. 1 car to Klein, and it takes about 10min to go to the cable car station). The water tower and the flower bridge are in front of the bus station, and the bridge is the old city. It is simply because of the hotel's location and the clarity of the staff. Guide, I went to Mount Pilatus and St. Regis in a day and a half, strolled around the city, and visited Lake Lucerne, seamlessly connected 4. Good hardware equipment, breakfast is very rich (very, very kind)

Good food for breakfast Living on the highest floor, looking out the window is the crossroads next to the train station, the night view is a bit wrong Zhongyou Zhongyou, it is estimated that the hotel will send the city's transportation card to the hotel. When I go to Pilatus, I need to take the train station to the train station. The hotel will send the left transportation card to help me take the left bus. Pakistani mosquito fare.

My wife and I traveled to Swiss for 4 days stay as a part of our Euro trip. This hotel is situated 6-7 minutes walk away from the main train station. We arrived at around 9 am, couldn't get an early check-in as the staff was in process of arranging/cleaning rooms for check-ins planned for the day. Hotel provided us a free bus pass to travel in and around Lucerne/Luzern for free. We checked-in to a cozy room. For hot water, coffee and tea you'd need to come down to reception area. Breakfast options were good (we've pre-booked it). I'd like to mention the hotel staff's name who helped us with a pleasant stay - Stefanie, Ronaldo and 1 more great lady from Sri Lanka (I am really sorry I forgot the name). They all were just superb.... If given an option, I'd like to book this hotel again, it suits the requitement of an avid traveller, who's main purpose is to explore all parts of Swiss simply by staying at 1 base location. We used to start our day early and leave the hotel around 7:45 am post having breakfast. And during our stay we explored many major attractions of Swiss. Thanks to the hotel management!

Praise, recommended! The hotel's internal facilities are relatively new and the location is good. There is a bus stop on the main road at the entrance (the free pass for the hotel), even if you walk to the Kapei Cover Bridge for 20 minutes. The hotel has a modern decor, and the three-person room I booked is large in size and the bathroom is large. The younger brother at the front desk has good English, good attitude and high efficiency! By transferring the plug, it is super convenient to store your luggage. The reception is located on the second floor and has lots of comfortable large sofas. On the first floor of the restaurant, breakfast is more abundant! The only thing is that at 22 o'clock in the evening, the restaurant near the hotel is not open. You have to go to the train station to eat.

First, it's a hostel, you need to know, so you're going to bed, and then you finally get back the bedrooms. Of course they don't accompany you in the room, of course it's spartan. I wonder some reviews. However, the hostel is spartan but clean and compared to other accommodation in Lucerna, cheap. If you have the international hostel card (in Italy you can do online) you will have 7 francs discount on the adult price. children under 12 years have already a special price. parking costs 7 fr. per day but in the surroundings you can The bus stop going to the city centre (they will be 4 stops) is about 400 metres away, i.e. very close. The bus ticket is included in the price of the accommodation and is sent by e-mail after the Check in (online). otherwise the reservation of the hostel is sufficient for the first day. Breakfast is buffet and is not bad. for most rooms the bathrooms are common, We were there in December and the hostel was empty so we had no problems, maybe in times of crowding are too few. Common areas are essential, unfortunately there is no kitchen available, but in the hall there is a water boiler and a microwave oven, in emergency can be enough. We have not been sorry to travel to the hostel, we have seen better, but a hotel in Lucerna costs very much: the hostel was a good solution: to dine or go to the city or there is a shopping centre at five minutes' car. The wifi is only in the ground floor hall, but it was also working in the 3rd floor room.

On our way to Italy we needed to stop for a night. Found a spectacular location just a short drive from Lucern and the main road, just up a narrow road, through a forrest, and into a valley. A great view of the Pilatus mountain, a little snow, the valley below, and all shades of green. we stayed for the night and just had to stop on our way back also!! The hotel is a small and charming hotel/resturant/cafe. They have adapted the old building to modern standard by providing each room with a modern bathroom across the hallway, robes and slippers was provided so it was no bother. The room was comfortable with good matresses and high quality bedding, we kept the balcony doors open to the wonderful view and slept like babies. The management and staff welcomed us warmly and all spoke very good english. The resturant had a good selection of traditional dishes. The dinner came quickly, was well presented, large portion and tasted great. Homemade cake for dessert, yummmy. No standard breakfast buffet but we where served an exellent breakfast of local products with a selection of bread, meat, alpine cheeses and youghurts, homemade jams, and fruits. Coffe, milk and juice. We will endevour to visit again for a longer stay.

The room layout is good overall, our room has a balcony, you can see the view of Lake Lucerne on the balcony. Disadvantages: The room is directly opposite the door frame, and the three sides are mirrors. After living for a few nights, my little friend and I dreamed every day, and it was still a very nervous dream. By US standards, most European hotels are small, granted. Hotel des Balances, and the Junior Suite specifically, was very large, very comfortable and provided one of the best hotel stays of my life. Start with the bathroom, magnificent! No issues whatsoever. Big tub/shower combo, wonderful water pressure, a sink built for a king or queen, nightlights, everything. The living area had a great couch and chair as well as a desk, TV and mini-bar for a little relaxation at the end of a long day. The bed... WOW! Soft, plush, uber comfortable with premium bedding and then there's the view. Waking up, out of bed and directly onto the balcony with some of the most stunning views of Lake Lucerne, the River, the Jesuit Church, the Chapel Bridge that you can even imagine. The staff from the front desk to the bar to the housekeepers were as professional and decent as they come. Everything I wanted to see in Lucerne, whether it was the Lion Monument and Glacial Gardens or the lakefront, the train station, Old Town, it was ALL an easy walk from Hotel des Balances. Needless to say, the beauty of the hotel is full of details; the accident is free to upgrade to the lake view room, under the balcony is Lake Lucerne; the bedding is comfortable, sweeping away the fatigue of the long-distance plane; at night, you must go to the downstairs bar to have a beer, my husband thinks It is the best beer to drink during the whole of Switzerland; for breakfast, we have a room with breakfast, remember to wait for the waiter to be menu, this is not like the domestic hotel, all the self-service, it is the main meal, the taste is very good, do Very delicate. Unfortunately, I didn’t take pictures at the hotel, only Lake Lucerne was taken on the balcony. In short, perfect, recommended stay.

Likes : Hotel is conveniently located, very near to both the Lucerne train station and the Chapel bridge. Room is neat and tidy, and friendly front desk service. Breakfast is available for a small cost. Dislikes: Price is comparatively more expensive, considering breakfast is not included. Room and bed size are quite small. Amenities like toothbrush, toothpaste and mineral waters, water flask etc are not provided.

Location is OK, go to the Kappel Covered Bridge for about 10 minutes. The waiter's attitude is super good. The room is not bad, the two beds can't be put together, the waiter sees the children, and asks if you want to have an extra bed. It is free. There is an underground car park and the elevator goes directly to the lobby. The parking fee is 32 Swiss francs a day.

A little distance from the center, it is possible to park, there are bus cards for three people, a family room for booking, and a sofa bed for children. At 9 o'clock in the evening, I have to go to the opposite hotel to find the front desk and say that it is the same hotel. The booked room has a balcony with views of the Alps and a little bit of lake.

The location is in the middle of the two stations, the southern balcony room is beautiful, the balcony is not big, the two large pots of morning glory are planted, two chairs sit and drink coffee to enjoy the beautiful scenery, and the 9-year-old son does not need a hard extra bed, but breakfast It’s the worst time I have eaten and experienced in this 19-day European trip. There are few types, 10:00, and I have eaten more than half of the food at 9:30, and no longer add it. Only juice, cheese, bread, bread There are not a few pieces, two waiters, each with a place, there is no table that can be set up to eat, called the two sides of the knife and fork only promised not to act, and finally could not help but complain loudly, only came over, actually asked is Not unhappy, who can change?

We stayed at the Montana for 4 nights in the Penthouse Junior Suite with Lake View. From the funicular to reach the hotel, to check in, to the room itself, everything was flawless and made for a perfect, easy stay. We were given travel passes to use around Lucerne, which has an excellent public transport system. We were also offered the use of bicycles to use for free. The room itself is beautiful; it has a large bathroom with excellent amenities such as a Dyson hairdryer and bidet toilet. The bed is comfortable and has access to backlighting and plugs directly next to it. The minibar, included in the room rate, is well-stocked and refilled every day. The coffee machine is also well stocked. The star of the show, the terrace, is large, with chairs, loungers and of course the hot tub. The view is absolutely stunning, even on a cloudy day. As we were on our honeymoon, the hotel staff thoughtfully left a card in the room along with some chocolates which was a lovely touch. The hotel staff also ordered Tell Passes for us, which we bought from the tourist office and benefitted from the 2 for 1 offer as we were staying at the hotel. This was a large saving and covered our activities for the whole stay. The breakfast was extensive and delicious - we treated ourselves to breakfast in bed on our last morning and it was definitely worth it! We also ordered room service dinner, and the meals were tasty and came with bread and butter. All in all, I cannot praise this hotel enough - it is definitely worth the price.

It is a backpacker hostel, 272rmb a night, the comment is relative to this. Switzerland is probably hostel below 300rmb. Is the experience of living in the hostel. When I lived, there were not many people. One person lived in a four-person room with a bathroom in the room. Although this shop has no scenery, the surrounding environment is good in Switzerland. Even breakfast, fried rice (Does Swiss hostel generally not include breakfast or extra money?). The employees saw young Orientals, as if they were all Chinese. The train station is a half-hour walk away and you can take the bus.

In commercial terms, I have stayed in Thorenberg once a week since August - and will continue to do this with joy, as long as my commitment to the Luzern region lasts. The rooms are top and very - very - fair in price. The hotel Thorenberg with the gourmet restaurant Maximo (named after Max Lustenberger) is a professional and heart-family-led business. You come as guest and go as friend. Are you satisfied with a "clear, pleased!" and if you ask about the recipe and preparation of the phenomenal calf shake, the rounding beef filet or even the "only" rosti, The sympathetic cooks and cookies come and betray Sous-Vide tips and sauce secrets. That's what I'm going to experience with Lustenbergers. Hosts and guests together create great gastronomy. A family business in the third generation, as it is in the book. I look forward to the spring map and the terrace.
