We've been staying at this Hampton Inn since our daughter married (20+ years ago) & moved into this area. In the recent past, she moved into a new home w/an in-law suite, so we stayed at her home, but with everyone working from home virtually, thought it best to stay at the hotel. Upon check-in my husband questioned the "fee for incidentals". The person at the desk said she had worked there for a long time & the hotel had always had it, but couldn't say what it was for. My husband replied that we'd stayed there for 20+ years & never had such a charge (found out the person at the reception counter had been working there 1 year). The room rate was unbelievably low - but thought it was because they weren't serving breakfast & were trying to boost business. But, we stayed there 2 weekday nights and the same scattered trash on the rugs near the elevator on the first floor when we checked in was still there when we checked out 2 days later. Also the stains on the floor inside the elevator were there our entire stay. I knew that because of COVID 19 the rooms would not receive housekeeping unless specifically requested, but did not realize that meant that none of the common areas (hallways, etc.) would never be vacuumed. I also did not realize that the property would look so poor - many weeds growing around the building between the flowers & shrubs that were planted. My overall impression was that the entire facility was being poorly maintained. My husband is a Hilton Honors members & I have never given such a poor review to a Hampton Inn in the past.

I stayed here on eight separate occasions. They were the least expensive. They were also extremely clean, friendly, and helpful. I get up at 5am and they got me milk for my coffee the night before so I could have it in my room when I got up. I forgot my phone cord and they found one for me. They are genuinely Midwest nice. I am very particular and have always found the rooms and the entire property very clean. I will always stay here whenever I am in town

I want to start this off by saying I have never written a review online, for anything, anywhere in my entire life but I feel compelled to write this after the complete lack of respect we had at our wedding reception at Best Western Premier Nicollet Inn. We choose this location and we could not have regretted our decision more. Upon check in, we quickly realized that the hotel had double booked our reception night with a Fergus Falls hockey team that was 30+ members strong. We shared bathrooms, could see each other, and were even within talking distance the entire evening. On top of this, Best Western employed a plain clothed security guard from a third-party vendor (not associated with Best Western) by the name of Tom, who single handedly was able to play judge, jury, and executioner of our wedding reception. Eventually, at around 10pm, the rowdy Fergus Falls hockey attempted to crash our reception and the groom and bride’s father then had to remove the hockey team themselves, and had to remind Tom to do his job of keeping other members of the hotel out. Tom became irate; bullying the wedding party, threatening to call the cops and kick out the bride and groom. It was at this point that the bartender, Bethany, started to cut off other members of the bride and grooms’ family, essentially cutting the entire reception off 3 hours early. No managers, no assistant managers, nobody we could talk to other than Tom and Bethany. We felt so trapped and helpless in this situation and it was truly heartbreaking. Upon speaking with Michael Goodman, the GM, he managed to only speak with Tom and Bethany, and didn’t reach out to any of the party members. We were not only disrespected by the security guard, but also management. We are disappointed that we will never get this happy moment back, and would not recommend this location to anyone.

I usually try to stay at Hilton properties but becuase none were available at a price I thought was justified I tried Burnsville Inn & Suites in Burnsville, MN. The place was great!! I was given a fair price, the room had been recently remodeled, it was clean, safe and the staff was excellent!! I tought I was going to stay for a week or two but work required a 9 week stay, They let me re-up week by week and gave me a credit when I ended up leaving a day early. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!

A budget hotel at a (very affordable) budget price sporting generally budget accommodations. So you will get what you should expect from budget experience. But what made this budget experience worth it for us is what we also consider the essentials- friendly staff, a well kept pool and hit tub, great location close to a ski hill, the southern suburb attractions and easy access to downtown, and a clean bathroom. A few additional things worth noting- we were travelling without a credit card. This hotel was very accommodating to our situation, allowing for a pay when you get there option (or a PayPal option direct on hotwire) and only asking for a $100 deposit, which we got back at check out with no questions asked. And although it does not have a free breakfast, it does offer a fresh donut tray in the morning.
