Our stay at The Ambassador was a disappointment.  This year, with a pandemic lurking, we decided on a local getaway.  The Ambassador seemed like a no-brainer, boasting high-class living and elegance.  The trip left us disappointed and feeling short-changed. To start the night, we had reservations at the Siena Tuscan Restaurant.  The menu, printed on paper, was very limited, sans several options listed on the website.  We started out with the stuffed meatball appetizer and the fig plate, both were very pleasing to the palette.  On to the main course.  The menu was sectioned into  four parts.  Primi, which by the term, I interpreted as appetizer.  Pasta De Casa- pasta dishes, Pesce- fish And Manzo- steak, chicken, or pork.  We decided on the Center Cut Fillet and Choice Ribeye, both medium rare, $46 and $43 respectively.  The waiter, almost as if he was asking for a favor, asked if he could butterfly them for us.  Against my best judgement, I agreed.  Our steaks came out dry, and medium well and well.  Each plate featured a steak, with a small dollop of butter and a pinch of garnish on top.  This was when we realized we had missed ordering a vegetable, as they were listed in the top section, along with appetizers. For an additional $11 or so dollars, we could have ordered a side of asparagus or creamed potatoes.   We were hungry, and admittedly, a little shocked at what $46 will buy at this nice Wichita restaurant. We frequent high-end local eateries, and this was definitely not what we expected.  By the time our waiter made it around to check on us, our steaks were half eaten, and we decided to not pose a complaint. As the waiter brought the dessert menu, we received an emergency phone call, and needed to exit, possibly saving us from another disappointment. Upon our return to the hotel, I asked the desk clerk for a breakfast menu.  He stated, the room should have one, but he gave me one anyway.  As it turned out, the room did not have a menu, any paper items had been removed due to Covid.  There was not so much as a box of tissue in the room. We ordered breakfast via room service, and the menu did not disappoint.  We had the 3 egg omelette, tuscan eggs benedict, and the egg white frittata.  The meal was delivered, and I signed the ticket, adding a 20% gratuity, (as the paper menu stated that gratuity was added to parties of 8 or more).  We got another shock when we looked over the ticket and had already been charged a service fee of 20%. We called the front desk who confirmed that 20% is always charged for room service, and that it's stated on the "real" room service menu.  So now, after tipping slightly over 40%, our breakfast rang to the tune of $90.    As for the room, our corner suite was beautiful, and quite pleasing to the eye, and definitely the quietest hotel room I've ever been in.  Several of the throw pillows had large rips in the seam.  Perhaps I'm just picky, but for $200 a night, an upgrade to double roll TP would hav

I was in Wichita to watch a friend's football game, the friends that I traveled with had stayed here before and liked the place so we booked our stay here. The Hotel is in a great location, walking distance to plenty of places to eat, bars and breweries. The rooms are perfect, clean and spacious. There is a Keurig machine in the room with a couple of options. There is a Starbucks on the corner which can be accessed from the lobby. The hotel bar is great with awesome happy hour specials! The bartender is super nice, friendly and can recommend where to go. I would absolutely stay here again, for the price it is a no brainer and when the pool is finished this place will be an even bigger hit!

We stayed here one night while in town for a concert at Intrust Bank Arena. I wanted something with free parking within walking distance of the arena and this fit the bill. Check in and parking were super easy and the staff was friendly. The hotel is older but exceptionally clean and well maintained. Our room was spacious and again, very clean. We did not hear noise from the atrium area, but we were back pretty late after the concert. I would stay here again if in the area for another show.

No, seriously. Stayed here three nights with a colleague for a conference and was very pleased with our stay. The beds were amazingly comfortable. Room was plenty big enough for us to not trip on each other. The interior and exterior were both updated and clean. Now to the haunting, the drawers on the dresser kept opening on their own. One and then the other and sometimes both at the same time. My colleague eventually slammed the drawer and caught her thumb in the drawer so there has now been a blood sacrifice/offering left. After that we pushed our luggage against the dresser blocking the drawers and no other incidence occurred. The thermostat also changed on its own several times throughout the stay but that was less troubling. The breakfast was fantastic. The staff was attentive and friendly. I will be glad to come back here in the future.

I stayed at WaterWalk during my 13wk contract as a travel nurse at Wesley Children's Hospital in Wichita. (6min drive).I cannot say enough how PERFECT my stay was! I chose the place mostly for the convenience of "one bill". No setting up utilities, making security deposits, etc. One bill each month for all- and pro-rated for the dates I stayed.Convenient and affordable. WaterWalk is a perfect combination of Hotel/Apartment living. Firstly, the staff is welcoming and friendly. (Shout out and special thanks to Christa and Mandy!). Acknowledging my night-shift schedule, they specifically considered my (daytime quiet) needs in selecting my apt. (Not that that was necessary- I never heard any noise from the neighbors at all except for an occasional barking dog). The place is dog-friendly, so you should keep that in mind. I did not bring my own dog with me, but I enjoyed interacting with other dogs on the property when I saw them. My apartment was fabulous! Clean and nicer than my own home! My favorite attributes (spoken as a night-shift travel nurse) #1 very QUIET environment, #2 I could control the AC- and it was cooold! #3 The shades, curtains were hotel-quality, so the rooms were very dark! #4 my own washer/dryer in my own apt #5 location couldn't have been more convenient! As a woman living alone I felt VERY SAFE at Waterwalk. There is always an employee at the property, and cameras all around to monitor the area. Never saw anyone there that didn't belong there. I appreciated the community room -although did not personally use it- except for the awesome coffee machine. That was really convenient for me as a sleep-deprived night-shifter! I occasionally noticed families having cook-outs on the patio (gas grills and gazebos there) or birthday parties, or friends just hanging out on the couches. Overall, the residents kept to themselves unless I initiated a conversation. The location is wonderful. I stayed from June-Sept, when the temp was 90-100 degrees everyday. Although I very much missed the ocean (coming from NJ), I enjoyed spending time walking up and down the river walk, only 50 feet away. There are bikes and scooters available from the city that you can grab and go at any location. Through the summer there were concerts, food trucks, festivals and weekly outdoor markets in the surrounding blocks- easily walkable. Although I have many places I want to see and don't plan to be in Wichita again, I really enjoyed my stay there- and WaterWalk was the #1 reason why! I highly recommend this housing to any traveling nurse working in Wichita.

After getting an urgent medical summons, I needed a place to stay close to Wesley hospital. The rate was good and so were the reviews online so I called and booked. Helen was very deadpan humorous and made me feel very welcome over the phone. My check-in experience went smoothly. Pros: • Clean room - bed & bath • Close to the Hospital • Rate and value for that rate are superb • Mini-fridge and microwave in the room • Laundry Room ($.75 wash/dry) Cons: • Business computer was out of order • Side door was out of order so I could only use the front entrance. • Bring your own laundry supplies as the motel doesn’t have them

This hotel was top notch. Quiet rooms, very clean, super breakfast (very important for me!), and very helpful, friendly staff! We were there for four nights and I experienced something I hadn't ever experienced before. The first night the shower drain wasn't working properly and as it's no fun showering in standing water, I just casually mentioned it in passing to the girl at the front desk. We left for the day and by the time we got back it was all taken care of and the drain working 100%!! You just can't beat that kind of service!! Thanks again, Best Western Plus Wichita West Airport Inn!! Oh, by the way, the beds are very comfortable and the price was a very great value!!

I stopped at this Days Inn on a trip through Wichita. I was assigned to Room 209 and my credit card was charged $60 plus a $15 pet fee. I went up the dark stairway to room 209, opened the door to find a bed that looked like someone just climbed out of it and items on the dresser. I do not know if someone else was living in this room or if it had just not been cleaned. I immediately returned to the office and asked for a refund. Sam ( the desk clerk) wanted to give me another room. I was too upset and asked for a refund. He told me to leave my email and someone would get back to me. Wyndham owns Days Inn and Sam said their policy is not to reverse any transactions even if they have not been authorized. After a second phone call to the hotel manager (Mr. Patel) I was told I would be given a refund in two days. I have travelled extensively in my 67 years and I have never been put in an uncleaned or occupied room in any hotel. After this type of experience I would have expected management to be extremely apologetic and offer an immediate refund and even an offer of a refund in cash. This was a totally unacceptable response for a hotel carrying the Wyndham name!

We found this hotel while looking for park, sleep, fly location. The price was great as we spent one night, they shuttle you to airport, and our vehicle remained at the hotel for 12 days. When we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff. They told us about hotel amenities and where our room location was as well as set up our transfer to airport for the next morning. When we got into our room it was clean. There was a couch, end table, a desk with an office type chair as well as another chair an ottoman. There was also a counter that had a microwave, coffee maker and all the sugars, and creamers. Under this cabinet was the refrigerator/freezer. The bathroom was a shower tub style and toilet in one area and the sink outside in different area. They had different types of complimentary toiletries for use. The shower had a great shower head with different options. The bed was king size with many pillows, was a bit hard but was ok for a night of sleeping. The hotel had a small workout room and also a swimming pool that looked very clean. They had a large breakfast area which free breakfast was included. We flew out early so did not get to eat but it smelled very good! I would say that this hotel could probably use a bit of updating in the rooms as well as add a light over the counter as it is dark and hard to see when using this area. All in all this hotel was perfect for what we needed and I would recommend to anyone needing a park, sleep, fly location.
