Recommended to us by a friend we found this hotel to be beyond nice! Clean room and bath, nice towels, beds are comfortable. Available onsite parking is 10 euros but worth it due to limited parking in the area. Staff is ultra friendly and we felt well taken care of. Shopping, restaurants are a short walk away. Heidelberg Christmas market is about a 20 min walk as well as a spectacular view of Heidelberg castle above it all! Love this old city! Hope to return again one day! Elevator is small by USA standards but this is an older building.

The location is the beast thing about Heidelber Hof. It sits righ on the outskirts of the old town. We had He Jr. suite room. It was very small. The bedroom was barely big enough for the bed, the small desk, and chair. The sitting room could be crossed I one big step. The bed was two doubles put together so if you like sleeping next to your partner, one of you will sleep on the crack. The room was very clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet was the whimpiest one we’ve had in all our hotels in Germany. Very small selection of cheese, breads, and cold cuts. No fruit to speak of. Twice they ran out of scrambled eggs. I didn’t think it was worth the price at all. There are bakeries all around the immediate area with better and cheaper selections.

Located in the center of Heidelberg, good value for money. Crossing the street is the pedestrian street, which is very convenient. You can walk to the main attractions. The hotel is self check-in. Check in at four o'clock in the afternoon, almost no one at the front desk before four o'clock. The self check-in machine is assigned to the room on the top floor, like a loft. The roof was in the sun for a day and the room was very hot. The room facilities and decoration are quite warm.

Breakfast is generally (18 euros), it is recommended to eat outside. The room is relatively large, the hotel has a parking lot, but it needs to pay, it is about ten euros a night, the parking lot payment equipment is broken, remember to pay at the hotel front desk! The location of the hotel is also very good, go right and turn right and then turn right for a few minutes to have two lieutenant halls: MR.ZHAO and Danasty, then turn right at the intersection to have a Shanghai restaurant. If you drive 20 kilometers by car, there is a very authentic Zhongliguan Danasty. Another hotel to the castle and the philosopher's path (on both sides of the river) are only two or three kilometers. It is not recommended to go at the same time, too tired. You can go to the castle in the morning, go back to the hotel to sleep for a while, go to the path of the philosopher at night and climb to the middle of the mountain, usually only ten o'clock. You can run along the river early in the morning. Self-driving also recommended a small village, small market (Marktpl. 11, 69469 Weinheim), our German colleagues took us (more than 20 kilometers from Heidelberg), where the house is many hundred years (the house is written on the front wall) Year of construction) There are not many tourists, turn around and find a squatting room to eat or drink something.

Hotel is ok But gave a bad review of Ctrip's service. Ctrip agents did not pay the hotel in time, causing the hotel to repeatedly collect payments. After contacting Ctrip's customer service, the customer service attitude was very bad and told me that I had to wait 3 working days for a reply, and they needed to give the supplier time to deal with it. Let them urge and tell me that I must wait three working days. This is their process, and let me consider whether I don’t accept it or not. And told that if you do this, you have to take this risk! The key is that this problem is caused by them, why should I bear it! After many communication with no results, I contacted the hotel by myself, and the hotel responded within an hour and gave a refund. I don’t understand why I contacted Ctrip for 2 days and there was no result and I was forced to wait 3 working days! ! ! Specially named the customer with the job number 61420, the attitude is extremely arrogant, very bad!

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and it was just lovely. First, the location is great - right near the bridge and centrally located in the old town. It was very quiet. It is close to a lot of restaurants and has one of its own which is quite good. We had dinner there on the night we arrived from a long haul flight so it was convenient but also better than some other restaurants in the area. Breakfast was great value on our last morning and the service was personal and excellent. Our room was a junior suite and very comfortable with a sitting area and large bathroom. We had air conditioning which worked well but could also open the windows if we wanted. One thing to watch - if you have heavy bags you might want to choose your room carefully. We used the lift up one floor but then had to carry our bags up some steepish stairs to our room. Not sure if that was just our room or if others had stairs - the lift went for 2 floors and we were in between. Truly a delightful place to stay.

The hotel is right next to the Old Town Square, saying that convenience is not enough, but very convenient! Going to the castle, the old bridge, and the old town are all walking up. The hotel staff is very nice, every time you say hello is a warm, warm smile, it makes people feel very comfortable! The staff will provide maps and guidelines, especially to help with luggage, and the hotel does not have a lift. Breakfast is average, but it is not bad, next door is a Korean restaurant, there are all kinds of small collections, full of fun, taste is not bad! The hotel is especially recommended!

Nice, small, simple hotel with very clean and spacious rooms. The reception is occupied from 15 - 19 a.m. with a very nice and extremely helpful young lady. Outside these times, contact with the staff is made by phone, but we didn't have to use it, because everything was in good condition. In addition, there are also contactless possibilities for check-in and check-out (e.g. electronic check-in terminal). We had booked two rooms (double and three-bed rooms). The very spacious double room was marked with very interesting ”Winter garden”-flair through a series of roof windows was equipped with a small kitchen, but we did not try it except for the coffee machine. Unfortunately, it was a little cold in the room as the heating did not entirely warm the whole volume. In the three-bed room our children had been in the room. Also here there was enough room and a coffee machine. The hotel is located near a train station. From there you are in a few stations at the Bismarck Square and can actually discover all Heidelberg conveniently. For cars the city is rather nothing. Also around the hotel are parking defects. The accommodation has just two guest parking places, each for €14 per day. According to the reception, a temporary parking card would also be for the respective city area for €10 per day available. That's why we didn't care. In the immediate vicinity there is a pizzeria ”Da Baggio” that looks very comfortable but probably is also well frequented. In any case, there was no place for us spontaneously. A few meters away, but still walking well to reach, the pizzeria is ”Da Vinci”. Prices are high, but the food is very delicious. For saving guests there is also a bridge service nearby.

Maintenance is underway near the railway station. In the past, the hotel had to cross a small bridge; The room is more spacious. Compared with the hotels in Frankfurt, the heating in the room is sufficient. The front desk of the hotel has bread and coffee every day, which can be taken for free. The croissants are delicious; The hotel breakfast is 10EUR/person, which is not suitable for the Chinese stomach and the variety is barren; there is a dining cart on the road in front of the hotel, and the roasted chicken legs are not bad, 2 euros apiece. Overall recommendation.

I think Lotte was one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in my backpacker life! Starts with the perfect location: in the old town, close enough from everything, far enough to be quiet, and almost in the castle (really close to it). Second: the staff is great! Barbara was VERY friendly and nice and contributed a lot to my first amazing impression of the hostel. Then, I would say that cleaning and organization of this hostel is an example for any other hostels/hotels. Really clean! And with a lot of stuff we can yse for free like soap, shampoo, toothpaste, tea, coffee, milk, cereals and more... I felt very welcome and comfortable (rooms and beds are super!) there since the beggining and would totally stay in this hostel everytime I go to Heidelberg!

If travelling by car, the location of the hotel is good, with free parking within the premises. Rooms are decent, with a modern, yet a bit frugal design, which also applies to the bathroom. Overall the hotel was clean and was following the appropriate regulations for Covid-19. Breakfast was not included in our rate so we payed extra (8.5€ per person): there is not a huge variety of foods, though it's enough for a decent breakfast. You might get something similar in the nearby fast foods or cafeterias for the price. Staff was alright. Room rate was good considering Heidelberg is quite dear, especially for the German average. No big complaints, nor praises. Appropriate for the price you pay.

The bathroom was very clean, but you could have cleaned the floor in the room a little better. Deductions are available for the small bed and mattresses, so I would expect more for this money. Breakfast was okay, but something unpleasantly arranged. This could be better presented. I would also have expected a small refrigerator or a minibar. I also have to join another evaluator's opinion and admit that four stars are too high. There are similar hotels with similar prices that offer more.
