I was surprised to find such a cozy space even though it was not far from the city. The exterior of the facility is showing its age, but once you step inside, that image will disappear. Heartwarming customer service from employees. It's a small inn, so it's possible to be attentive. I am satisfied with both the quality and quantity of the food. The sake was delicious and I ended up drinking too much. I was grateful for the shuttle service I received on my way there and back, and I was able to hear a lot of interesting stories on the train, which made me feel very lucky. I would like to visit again if I want to meet the landlady.

This is a really good place to stay if you’re looking for a cheap Ryokan. Staff are super friendly, but unfortunately don’t speak much English. However, you can get by with google translate. There is an Onsen that is shared amongst the guests, however you can flip a sign on the door to mark it as occupied so you can use it alone. The only real downside is that the staff clean around 9-10am in the morning. So if you’re looking for a peaceful sleep in this probably isn’t the best stay for you. Though If you’re an early riser and like to try different types of hostels this place is going to be perfect. They also have free hire bikes you can use to get around.

This was a stopover hotel for our tour of Japan. It's well-located, walking distance to the railway station. The hotel carpark is small and we ended up in a garage about a 7-minute walk away. (10-minute if you have luggage.) We ended up in the executive floor. The rooms were all right in size. The major plus is the 14th floor executive lounge. We were there on New Year Day but ALL the restaurants that looked decent said they would only allow us in with reservations. We had not expected that. Fortunately, we had a good fill at the lounge, went to MacDonald's (across the road from the Railway Station) for a burger and then returned to the Lounge to top up with drinks. Although it was near the closing time for the lounge, still the staff topped up the food. Breakfast was pretty good. But the dining area is somewhat small. So we had to wait 10 minutes. They do have a picnic arrangement, which was pretty charming. Staff were friendly, things worked. Yes, I would recommend this.

I stayed in the corona pass this time. The location is not blessed, but it can be said that it is a hotel with too much content to supplement it. First of all, the accommodation fee is cheap. It has increased recently in the city, but there is a large bath. You can lend your bicycle for free for sightseeing. The most important thing to evaluate is breakfast. There are many kinds in the buffet form, and most of them are not made and are thought to be handmade. There are many local specialties and I am soaked in the feeling that I came to Nagano. There are really few hotels with such content in business hotels recently. Although the cost-oriented management will be doing so, such a hotel wants to support more than heart. If you have the next opportunity, you will definitely take breakfast here.

This is about a 10-minute walk from the castle exit of Matsumoto Station. I think the basic structure of the hotel is old, but it is usually beautiful. To the front desk for check-in ‥‥ The front desk was usually a good response. You can enter the room with a key. The room is of a normal size, and the bath and toilet are undeniable, and the amenities and additional facilities in the room are also normal. (There is no security box, slippers were disposable. Pants pressure, charger, kettle, etc. can be rented at the front desk, so there is no shortage.) The bed was a bit wide, the sleeping clothes were yukata, and the pillows were low and low, so I had them replaced with soba shells. The network has wi-hi and the speed is normal. The large communal bath is a small space for about 4 people in the bathroom and about 2 people in the washroom, but you can enjoy it by the men and women exchange system with the cherry blossom bath medicine bath. Breakfast is free and bread is available, but the side dishes were Japanese and there were about 6 items and it was delicious. Coffee, tea, coin laundry and manga books are available 24 hours free. What was unique was that there was a DVD player, and you can rent DVD software at the front desk (there was also a software for children). It was a convenient and cost-effective hotel.

Stayed on weekdays. It is a great inn with parking lots and hot springs. The day I stayed was 8 the view bath on the floor was assigned to the man hot water. On the 8 floor, there are open-air baths and jacuzzi, and during the daytime, the distant view is enjoyed, and there is a body in the hot spring. The next morning, when I asked for a departure, I brought the car to the entrance and prepared it. Next time I will come to enjoy only hot water slowly. Thank you for your care.

We stayed at a number of Ryokans of various price points throughout our honeymoon trip to Japan and this one was such a pleasant surprise. The decor has a throwback 70s-80s vibe that would suit a Wes Anderson film and the attitude is a nice mixture of traditional ryokan hospitality and modern style. The rooms are spacious for ryokans (which, warning to Americans, might feel smaller than western hotels), and the baths are just lovely. We used both the public and private baths, and enjoyed our time in both. If this hotel wanted to rebrand as a quirky, hip spot for young westerners they could, but you get the sense that they enjoy catering to their Japanese clientele and providing an affordable yet luxurious experience. We spent one night at a $600 a night ryokan and the experience between the two was honestly comparable. Furthermore, Matsumoto is a lovely town, and if you want to add a day trip to your Japanese itinerary do yourself a favor and stay at the beautiful Hotel Tamanoyu.

The whole building was a clean and old inn. I especially liked the whole building classical music, so I felt very calm. The room was not old and clean, but there was a place where the wallpaper of the toilet was peeled off, so it was a pity there. But I was able to spend comfortably. Is it a corona virus countermeasure that surprised me? A large bag dedicated to putting clothes. I felt that this was not a plastic bag, but a disposable or money. Moreover, there are ordinary slippers, disposable slippers, and there are vinyl bags that put slippers. You can go to the lobby by elevator, but it is a pity that the public bath is a staircase underground. I thought it would be nice to have an elevator to the basement if it was a hotel of this scale or an escalator. The rest place has a sense of calmness, and you can sleep next to it even if you wait for the side. The public bath can be a drinking spring and the hot water in the shower is safe in the position where the hot water in the shower does not enter the bathtub. You can also sleep. Sulfur smell is lined up. The temperature is slightly hot from the suitable temperature. The open-air bath is different from the inner bath, and it is slightly wet, and the sulfur smell is hardly felt. The open-air bath is heated, but I think it is not very valuable if it is heated to this degree of sulfur smell. There is also a sulfur smell and a low temperature inn. If you lower the temperature to ~ 34 degrees, I think the value of this source will rise. However, because it may be troublesome in winter, I thought it would be good to reverse the source of inner hot water and open-air bath. Is it suitable for the price with dinner breakfast? It was more delicious than usual, but there was no dishes that were particularly memorable. Oh, the meat was delicious. I think the staff is a good person. I would like to come again if the open-air bath changes.

This is not a downtown area about 8 minutes walk from Matsumoto Station Alps, and there is no convenience store nearby, but it is in a quiet location. I think the hotel itself structure is old but beautiful. To the front desk for check-in ‥‥ was usually a good response. There are amenities in the lobby and you can take it freely and there is a free drink service. The room usually uses the key to enter. The bathroom toilet in the room is a bit small, but there is also a washlet, usually clean and amenities and attached facilities in the room are normal. (The slippers were vinyl. There was also a refrigerator and dryer security box electric kettle) The bed was a wide single bed and the height of the pillow was just right. The network was wi-hi and the speed was good. It is a convenient location hotel to go out by train or bus from Matsumoto station. The decisive thing was that there was a bath on the 7th floor of the top floor, the reasonable price of the accommodation, and there was a further discount if you stayed overnight. I didn't get lost much, and I liked the bath and decided. There were three washing machines on the fourth floor, 200 yen for washing machines, 100 yen for drying machines, and the bath on the top floor was larger than the cherry blossoms thought, and the washroom was beautiful. The bath also had cosmetic water, emulsion, cleaning liquid, and body soap, shampoo and conditioner were also famous manufacturers. From the room, it is ok with yukata and slippers, so I entered twice a day like a hot spring inn. You can take a bath at 1 a.m. at night and 6 a.m. in the morning. The unit bus in the room was never used. Daily cleaning is a magnet card on the door, and even if you want to do not need cleaning, you will put a new yukata, bath towel, towel and amenities in a bag and hung them on the door knob. The good thing with the room facilities is the bright reading lights and 2 door frozen refrigerator, chairs like used in the office. The window was not open, but those who want to ventilate can open it if they borrow the key to the window. Outside the window, I could only see the office of the next building, but I almost went out, so I didn't care. I stayed for 3 nights, but the front desk was polite. There is a Japanese restaurant on the 1 floor, and breakfast can be eaten there. 1 thousand yen once. At dinner, there were couples in yukata, business guests, etc. The station is close, but the sound of the train is hardly heard, and it is quiet at night. The meal was also fun to eat because there were restaurants, taverns, dining rooms, etc. of color 々 genres nearby. Convenience stores are several stores and supermarkets are large underground of bus terminals. It is a hotel that I want to use when I go to Matsumoto again.

The Ryokan was remote and far from other things. We had car so that's good for us. If you don't, then you need to prepare how to commute. The dinner and breakfast were super good! the Ryokan has space to relax and enjoy, even though the room may be relatively small. Bus for the national park leave at 8 and 9 and you need to take the public bus back to the bus stop near the Ryokan. Public bus leave every 15 minutes. ends around 4pm so please check schedule ahead. The staff was caring but not so good at English except one lady that speaks fluently. So depend on her shift.

Stayed 2 nights. Clearly the hotel prides itself on its ambiance, service and tradition, and it does deliver that. With an old fashioned feel, it’s surprisingly large, but still a charming ryokan with a truly amazing set of onsens. Seems to be a romantic weekend getaway, with few westerners here, and not much English spoken, but the courtesy and attention to detail by staff is amazing. Dinner is very traditional Japanese, breakfast a more cosmopolitan buffet - both very good. On the negatives - I felt they overcharge for alcoholic drinks - a small glass of beer, often only 3/4 full (and it’s hard to complain about that when it’s delivered with such courtesy!) was ¥900 or so. Phew! The bed was not really very comfy - doona was great but the mattress was past its prime, the edges collapsing when you sat on them, and the pillows were lumpy. Plus it IS quite an expensive place to stay. But it was an experience- and I enjoyed being there.

Very convenient location, close to Matsumoto station and bus terminal. The hotel size is not big, the breakfast venue is also compact and I thought it was just good for this time. The corona countermeasure was also tight, and the response of the front desk 々 was very pleasant. Wi-Fi was also connected, and the dryer was also ready separately from the equipment. The cleaning is clean and you can spend comfortably overall. However, there was no outlet on the pillow Only the fact that the TV remote control did not respond well was a little troublesome (it seems that there is an extension code loan).

We stayed two nights in this Ryokan during our holiday in Japan. Matsumoto is a cosy and relaxed place, without the tourist crowds we experienced in other cities, staying in different hotels, who were all good, this Ryokan gave us a memorable experience. Everything was very well organized, the pick up from the station, the free bikes, the cleanliness of the place. The warm welcome from the hosts, the excellent way in which they took care of us during our stay. Making sure we could enkoy andrelax completely. Yesterday when we returned from our bicycle trip, during which we had a heavy rainshower and were completely soaked. The owner rushed out with umbrellas and his wife waited with towels and put newspapers in our wet shoes. This really felt as coming home! We tried both the Japanese and Western breakfast, they were both excellent. If you are staying in Matsumoto this the place we strongly recommend!

My wife and I spent 2-3 days here over the summer. While getting here on public transport is definitely a journey and a headache, once you're here, this is an amazing, relaxing, serene place to stay for a weekend. The hotel is a bit older, but there are very few options if you want to stay close to the park, and this resort is a great choice. It's right next to a bus stop heading to and from the park, situated right along the river/pond, and it has a great walking trail if you'd prefer leaving early and hiking alone on the beautiful trail. The hotel was comfortable and the staff was friendly. The large dinner meals they included in the price were very filling, but definitely more ”authentic” then we were expecting. We love most Japanese dishes, but the lake fish ”char” was a bit too much for us. Oh well, there was plenty more to eat! We purchased the Standard Twin Room, but we made sure that it was facing the Taisho Pond. We had some rain, so it was great to be able to sit in the room with the window open and comfortably watch the rains roll by. If we had planned the trip during perfect weather, the Mountain side would be fine for a discount, since we wouldn't have been in the room as much. We never actually used the Onsen spa, since they have separate rooms for men and women and we wanted to enjoy it together. We spent most of our time hiking and relaxing outdoors anyway.

This is located about 5 minutes walk from Matsumoto Station Ojoguchi, and there is a convenience store, but it is in a quiet location. I think the basic structure of the hotel is old, but it is usually clean. To the front desk for check-in‥‥the front desk felt style, classic flowing and was usually a good response. The room uses a card key to enter. The bathroom toilet in the room is a bit spacious, but there is also a washlet, usually clean and amenities and attached facilities in the room are normal. (The slippers were made of cloth. There was also a refrigerator, dryer and electric kettle (no security box)) The bed was a wide single bed and the height of the pillow was just right. The network had wi-hi and sometimes felt a little slow. The meal was handmade and boream and delicious. It was a quiet, comfortable, convenient and cost-effective hotel.

There is a note that there is no air conditioning and there is no free water, but considering the location here, it's a big deal. Considering the difficulty of maintaining a mountain hut, it is incomparable to operating a hotel. Are you used to drinking? I think installing a faucet dedicated to spring water on Mt. Rohyaku is a wonderful attempt rather than being provided to the mineral water room. If you want convenience, you should stay at a city hotel. I haven't used it enough to know the essence of the Imperial Hotel, but I'm still very satisfied with the service that shows that I share information with Honmaru no Uchiyuki Town, such as the number of towels. I also wanted to try the reputation roast beef, but it was a pity that I missed the opportunity due to the lack of research, but I can't help thinking about preparing the ingredients. It's a story that you can stay overnight if you want to eat it anyway. The shop was also good at reasonable price setting. What was more impressive was that I was talking to the staff at dinner, and when I said that I had disturbed the commemoration of 々 Kiju and Koki, I took a picture on the spot and received a picture of Kiju celebration & Koki celebration. I felt the depth of the long-established store. I was happy with the valuable items that I received [bitter smile] because it reacted abnormally to non-sold goods. It seems that the bathroom will be renovated this winter, but you will enjoy a comfortable stay. The weather in the mountains changed immediately, so it was helpful to consider rental shoes and ponchos. Apart from whether you can accept it, if you have a chance to stay, you should research in advance and request it. It may lead to a slightly pleasant stay. I don't know the thoughts of other people 々, but it was a very cozy stay for me.

The entrance is difficult to understand and is very unkind, but it is convenient near the station. Very clean and free lounge is very good. There is a service such as cold water. However, there was only an inn, and the people were very low, such as online drinking meetings in shared spaces, work meetings, and snoring in capsules.

It is an inn in the white bone hot spring, but you can also take a day trip bath. However, since the opening day and the opening time are limited, check in advance. Also, there is no towel, so prepare it yourself. The specialty here is a large open-air bath with a mixed bath with a smell of sulfur. It is more like a natural pond than a hot spring. The hot water temperature is low, so it is slowly soaked for a long time. It is a little far from the bus stop of the white bone hot spring, so it is convenient if you have a car. Because it is in the mountain, you should not expect convenience.

Last minute I booked a hotel, there weren’t many choices, so I booked it when I saw it was so cheap and had a room. I only book to the old hotel, which is pretty clean and the hot springs are not bad. The location is very close to Kamikochi and Norikura bus stops when driving by car. However, the worst part is that you can’t go out for a picnic in the old hotel, and there are no restaurants nearby. In the end, you have to go out for a picnic with friends. The overall CP value is high but the food is very inconvenient. If I have the chance to stay again, I hope to book a dinner at the new hotel.

We booked through agoda.com for a reasonable price. We arrived by train and literally walked across the street to the hotel. Check-in is at 3pm and like most Japanese business hotels they are strict about not letting you in early. The staff were friendly and spoke English. We had breakfast included, either Western or Japanese. We opted for the Japanese breakfast and it was great plus you get unlimited coffee or juice. Our room was small but adequate with a double bed that was a bit hard. There is a small refrigerator and kettle. The bathroom had a tub and Toto toilet. The location is great. You can hop on the town sneaker buses that make a loop to various attractions. We opted for the 500¥ daily unlimited ticket which also gives you a discount at different venues such as the castle and art museum. There are several convenience stores nearby and plenty of restaurants. We would stay here again.

Very recommended backpackers, about 13 minutes walk from the station, but the walk is flat and visited by many small shops. Very recommended.

About 5 minutes walk from the station. Matsumoto at this time has a high accommodation fee. At the time of booking, I used a 2K coupon for 14K on a certain cat site. After that, the price fell to about 12K and it was about the same as the non-application of the coupon, but it was unlikely to fall any further, so I left it with an early reservation. There is a suspicion of double price. Is it a good example to be careful when booking coupon distribution time? Since it is a Dormy Inn, the level of breakfast is high. Soba is a type that you order and make. Since it is located in the center of Matsumoto, you don't have to worry about eating out or convenience stores. Also, I think the point is that the large communal bath is a hot spring. It is a weak alkaline spring, but it seems to be a source of market price.

Matsumoto City is not big, the hotel is very close to Matsumoto Castle, you can see it in the room, and it is 15 minutes walk from Matsumoto Station. There is free coffee and hot water on the first floor of the hotel, which is great for Chinese people who can't drink ice water. I have had a breakfast at the hotel, I have to pay separately, 500 yen a person, it is OK, just buy it at a convenience store. The price of this hotel is very cost effective.

The staff, service, facilities, and room were top notch. Once our stay was booked, we received an email questionnaire. We are both vegan and they accommodated our preference. asking for our preferences. You can select between Japanese and French cuisine. We both opted for Japanese. When we arrived, they staff greeted us kindly and it was a delightful surprise to be led into a room filled with Christmas decorations. We booked the ”Standard Zen Suite” and were not disappointed. It comes with your own private indoor-outdoor onsen. It was heaven. If you are new to onsen, they also provide helpful instructions upon arrival that you can read. It was my absolute favorite onsen experience. There are three different onsens for guests, each separated by gender. They also provide popsicles, hot/cold tea, in addition to the standard shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair tonic, skin lotion etc. When we were there they had two shuttles which ran from Matsumoto Station to pick you up. One at 3:15 pm and another at 4:30 pm. We would both love to return!
