4.43km from downtownAway from the busy hectic life, this is the perfect place to enjoy the calm quietness of the nature. Room views are just stunning. The food was the best, most are their own recipes. The GM, Saliya is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant Manager Rangana & Chef Nissanka are two of the best service providers, always come up with some thing to make us delighted. Front office Manager, Sandun is also a very helpful person throughout our stay. The therapist, Nuwan has given the best therapies that I have ever experienced. Considering all, the place is highly recommended for anyone especially for honeymooners.
4.43km from downtownAmazing place to stay. Best value for money we have experienced in our 3 weeks of travelling through Sri Lanka. We came here to rest at the end of our travels and encountered an oasis of luxury and peace. The rooms are big, clean and have an awesome warm shower which does not run out of warm water. AC works properly. The pool is amazing, surrounded by some trees which create enough shade. This time of year some leaves will fall in but the staff maintains it almost every hour so this is no issue. The breakfast was delicious and prepared to the guests wishes by their capable chef. Please note that this place has a 4.5 star overall score despite the recent 1 star reviews. The recent bad reviews are written by people of the same group who left just before we did. I cannot imagine the manager lashing out like they described, as we experienced him to be a very friendly man who knows all too well how to treat his guests. Let's put it this way: I was not there to witness this big groups experience, but the staff was still frantically cleaning up after them when we arrived. Who discards of used diapers in the garden next to the pool?
4.49km from downtownThe best of the five-star hotels we live in in Sri Lanka. The thick colonial style rooms are all independent villas. Both the twin rooms and the big bed rooms are very good. The most favorite is the gauze mosquito net. It is very romantic. The room is full of porcelain ornaments and oil paintings. It feels like a room. Antiques. We went early the next morning, the hotel arranged for us, and the breakfast was very intimate.
4.57km from downtownI reckon this place is the best if what you are looking for is a calm and quiet setting away from the bustling crowd.Delicious meals, soothing ayurvedic therapies, comfy accommodation and amazing surrounding with peacocks and breathtaking nature all at a totally affordable cost.Really friendly host and you definitely will feel at home!

Hotels Near Senith Pharmacy In Galle Review
We stayed 3 nights at the Fort Bazaar in the fort at Galle. We had a lovely light bedroom with a small balcony. It is very centrally located just off Pedlar Street which seems to be the Main Street is Galle. Tea is served in the afternoon and there is a happy hour at 6pm offering free drinks. There is a lovely restaurant called The Church Street Social which we ate in twice which was delicious .We walked all round the fort which was lovely and even walked into the New Town.Pedalr Street has lots of lovely cafes and boutiques. There is a great spa .Had my best massage! Looking forward to returning.
I went alone, and just opened the door and was frightened by the scenery.
The Villa Kubura is located about 25min from Galle and it is expertly run by Sudath and his wife. Sudath spent his career as a hotelier and left to setup Villa Kubura and he has poured his vast experience into it. We stayed for 5 nights and could not recommend it highly enough. The rooms are very spacious and those on the first floor have a wonderful view over the paddy-fields. It really is an oasis compared to the hustle and bustle along the coast. The garden is wonderful and the pool is deceptively larger than the photos indicate. The food was truly excellent. We travelled around Sri Lanka for about three weeks and had wonderful food at a number of locations. However during our stay, we feel we had the best meal/curry on New Year's Eve at Villa Kubura. Sudath is an extremely experienced, tireless and generous host. He really goes of his way to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. His advice about where to eat, shop etc was always accurate and very helpful. He and his wife were extremely kind to us and our 10 year old son throughout our stay. We had a wonderful time and I would highly recommend staying here.
A couple-run family hotel, very good Hot baths can be washed for a long time, and it’s hard to get in Lanka. The environment is very good, the small balcony is very warm The boss has tuktuk, can call him to pick up and drop off Only the location is a certain distance from the Galle Fort, but relatively close to the beach Very close to the life of local residents Suitable for friends who want to feel the local customs The breakfast made by the proprietress is also delicious. The boss is also super good. It’s going to rain outside. I called back and said to help me collect the clothes that were put on the outside. All of them helped me back, including I put it outside the small balcony, it was not wet, I was touched. When I left, I was sent to the bus station to send me to the bus and told me to come back.
We were really surprised by the quality of this guesthouse. We stayed at the Bartizan the night before which was more than double the price. This guesthouse was just around the corner and had a much bigger bedroom and bathroom. We were upgraded and had a sea view. The staff (we assume most family run) were lovely. Breakfast was just around the corner from our room in a beautiful courtyard. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had too. We would thoroughly recommend this guesthouse. The one thing to watch out for is that the water (hot and cold) may run out during the day if guests have used a lot. Once you know this it’s easy to work around. They turn it back on about 5-6pm.
We arrived here late around 9PM after having a bad scenario in our guesthouse in Galle. We arrived without a booking and they gave us a friendly and warm welcome and prepared us a private room with a fan and shared bathroom. The room itself was clean but hot at night. The bathroom could use a good cleaning to my opinion, the shower was good and warm. They prepared us a breakfast in the morning, which was good and tasty, although quite pricy to my opinion with 11 dollars for 2 persons. The hostel itself is located on a quiet side road, this guarantees a quiet night. It wasn't social at all, but maybe it was off season (2 November)?
Despite being hailed by locals as a 'luxury' hotel it definitely wasn't. You pay upfront for the hotel, which was fine, but unexpected. I asked about having laundry done and was told to that the service is not offered on site, and they would send it else where and THEN charge me. When I asked how much this would roughly be I was just told I would find out afterwards? (In the end I walked up the road and found a company to do it for me). They were VERY pushy about me using their private tuktuk. If I walked anywhere, which is what I usually do, I felt like I was heavily questioned. Likewise for the 'free' massage that is offered. It is essentially an advertisement for the full massage service. Again, this is understandable, but I had staff coming up to me constantly asking "When are you going to book a full massage?" which put me off. I was also put off by staff telling me the owner also has ANOTHER hotel that was fully catered. If I booked and paid for this hotel - why would I want another? The room was OK, a lot of bugs so but the television didn't work and the WiFi is only in public areas/if you sit just outside your room. Regarding the bugs - I have never, ever had so many bites in all my life. My back and legs were covered. This comes from a woman who had spent the previous months travelling around Nepal and India, working with street dogs, and had spent 3 weeks in Sri Lanka with barely a bite. On my first morning, although I had locked my door, a member of staff used their key to open my bedroom door. They realised their mistake but I did not feel very safe there and bolted the door. It was very heavily catered towards German visitors, so I often felt a bit left out. Breakfast was OK if you look past the bugs crawling all over the food. I opted for the dinner one night and it was awful. As a vegetarian there were no vegetarian options. I paid 1000 rupees for chips, salad, plain pasta and vegetables. The location isn't particularly great either. If you want to get to the main shopping/tourist areas you will need a taxi or tuktuk. If you want to lounge by the pool and top up your tan - this is the place to go. Honestly if I hadn't paid upfront I probably would have left early... which may explain why they do that. The only reason it is 'poor' and not 'terrible' is because of the few very friendly members of staff - in particular the man in the restaurant during breakfast who always made an effort to engage me in conversation.
We arrived at this lovely villa, tucked away in a residential area, only to be locked down at the beginning of the pandemic. Unfortunately we weren't able to leave the property to explore Galle but the spacious lush grounds and very comfortable room provided a perfect oasis. Our suite was located on the second floor of the villa with a view of the garden. The queen sized bed had a high quality mattress, pillows and linens. There was a large wardrobe in the room for hanging clothes and a safe for valuables. The bathroom included plush towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a good hair dryer. There is air conditioning in the room but not in the bathroom which has ventilation to the outside like most properties in Sri Lanka. The gated property has been beautifully restored. The immaculate main house is striking and the landscaping provides a haven for birds and small wildlife. The dining area is open air and set towards the back of the property next to the pool. At night they light lanterns around the area and stream gentle music to create an idyllic setting. The entire staff were exceptional. They provided us with high quality meals and ensured that we were well care from the moment we arrived. They even went over and above to get us masks and gloves so that we could travel safely once we left. If you are looking for excellent hospitality in a charming upscale setting in the heart of Galle - this is the place. PS. There had a sweet well behaved puppy onsite while we were staying there.
We spent a week in this lovely and cozy Villa. It has only 2 floors and 4-5 rooms, so it is not a large and busy tourist center, very quiet and private I would say. Suits for couples. We had a large room with king size bed, a/c, private bathroom with a shower, laundry service, WiFi in the room and balcony with a garden/pool and an ocean view. The swimming pool is clean and good size, and because of the size of the villa, not many guests were using it. The breakfast was included and it was different every morning, such as European breakfast, traditional Sri Lankan breakfast etc. The breakfast always included fresh fruits, coffee/tea, milk, toasted bread and either eggs and sausage or something else on the side. Mr. Kanna took really good care of the guests and was very helpful and friendly. He always respect the customers wishes. We are extremely happy with the service and stay, especially because our first hotel was the worst experience in our traveling history, our agency relocated us from the previous stay to this one. I can say that we got lucky!!!
We booked for one night to go spend the day at the fort which is 20m walking distance from the hotel after you pass through dozens of shopping stores. The staff was extremely polite and hospitality was at its greatest and we ended up staying for another night and doing an excursion through the hotel. The manager took us to two temples and a seafood lunch place at the beach. Recomended this little 6room villa with its swimming pool to a bunch of travelers and friends in Sri Lanka.
I reckon this place is the best if what you are looking for is a calm and quiet setting away from the bustling crowd.Delicious meals, soothing ayurvedic therapies, comfy accommodation and amazing surrounding with peacocks and breathtaking nature all at a totally affordable cost.Really friendly host and you definitely will feel at home!
Great place to chill up. Put your phone away, enjoy the pool and get immersed into a great atmosphere.
We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay at Aragorn villa. The property, though not very luxurious, is very clean and green. A nice place to spend the night after day-long outing in the beautiful city of Galle. The hotelier was very welcoming and very well accommodated for all our needs.
We had one of the rooms that faced the garden for 5 nights. Spacious and spotlessly clean. Friendly helpful staff and genial host. Free tea and coffee and you can use all the kitchen facilities. We shopped locally and made our own breakfasts which we had in the outdoor seating area accessed from our room often shared with one of the dogs and cats and the occasional monkey in the trees. Wonderful terraced garden with lots of birds.Imbeccably furnished communal area where you sit and chat with other guests. Cross the road at the bottom of the garden and you are on the eastern edge of the bay. Ten minute walk across the sand or 200 SLR by tuk tuk to the town centre.
I spent my birthday in Annetta Vila . This place is so amazing. Right on the river side, it is very peaceful and quiet. The staff are very friendly & helpful. With a short drive, you find yourself back in the city area. I highly recommend this place & I will definitely staying there again.
We stayed here for four nights and were very happy. The location inside the Fort is perfect. The room was quiet and clean, but not very spacious, with a very comfortable bed, fan and ac. Perfect for our needs! There is a roof deck-sparse with a few hammocks and chairs-but it gets a breeze, so can be nice. The owners are pleasant and there if you need help, but leave you to yourself otherwise. We did not take advantage of meals here, but they will provide if you ask. They were kind to let us wash some laundry and hang it out on the roof. Like many places we’ve visited in Asia, the bathroom drains can leave an unpleasant smell from time to time, but we simply kept the door shut and it wasn’t a problem. Late in the week, we needed transport to Colombo for only a day, and they arranged a very reasonable driver-super helpful! I would highly recommend this family run, heritage home for a lovely stay in Galle Fort.
Lazy Koala, is way more than a hostel, although it's referred to as a tourist hostel and the rates are those of a hostel - budget rates - yet you have the feel of being in a boutique hotel. Beautifully designed, with a roof top deck, pool, and lovely rooms overlooking the sea, it has a warm and cheerful ambience that makes you feel completely at ease. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, designed and structured with every need of the guest in mind, with ensuit (private) bathroom and toilet. The roof top deck overlooking the sea makes you want to sit there forever contemplating on life, whilst the dinning room on the ground floor gives you the sense of a cheerful coffee shop, with gorgeous portraits of random people from around the world, which the staff informed us are photographs taken by the proprietor himself on his travels. There is parking space within the compound free of any charges. It's just a brief walk from Hikkaduwa town where the popular beaches are and, many restaurants, pubs and shops. For those who want to travel around, there are loads of tuk tuks which the helpful and friendly staff will arrange. But we simply enjoyed just hanging out at Lazy Koala enjoying the comfort and ambience and the warm hospitality of the staff. Chaminda and Ananda were so helpful and always available when we needed their assistance. Chef Punchihewa's rice and curry and string hoppers with chicken curry, itself are just worthy of just going back to Lazy Koala for. Thank you for a lovely holiday. I fully recommend Lazy Koala. I believe the place captures the essence of Sri Lankan hospitality, warmth, and serenity so well.
A week after the explosion in Sri Lanka, it was discovered that this was a Muslim hotel when the gunmen inspected the vehicles in front of the door and the restaurant on the first floor. But the real stay is very good, comfortable and convenient. The bathroom lighting is designed with ingenuity. The most heartfelt thing is to check out and go out for a long time. The little brother in the hotel wearing a robe hit a tuk to catch up and return me to the balcony to charge. Mobile phone, thank you very much!
Well what can I say apart from my first visit to Sri Lanka was AMAZING!!! We stayed at The Fence near bentota and we could not have been looked after any better. The family are so welcoming and friendly and they attend to your every need with the warmest smiles!!! Anything you needed they would sort out for you and have great knowledge about any yours or visits that you want to do. The day was always started off in the best possible way with a fantastic breakfast that set you up for the day. It was great being able to try some traditional Sri Lankan breakfast items!! If you needed taking anywhere, they’d contact the lovely Tuk tuk driver Amith who would tend to your every need taking us to beaches, temples, shopping and of course our in the evenings. If you want a holiday that is relaxing with that warm homely feeling then there is no other place to go. Dolitha, Eranga, Galleen and Diana are the perfect hosts and made our first trip to Sri Lanka so memorable and have made us want to go back next year for certain for a longer holiday. Please make sure you look this place up when you go to Sri Lanka as you won’t be disappointed and it will make your holiday!!!
At the heart of Galle Fort, located on quiet street off Pedlar St with its bars, shops and restaurants. Short walk to all the sites. Beautiful old house , tastefully decorated with comfortable furnishings. The staff are charming and attentive and will look after you as if in a five star establishment. Breakfast in the courtyard was lovely. The rates are a bargain and provide good value when compared with the pricey options nearby. We paid £45 a night for B & B for a twin.
This historic house in the centre of Galle is a little oasis away from the heat of the fort. The period furnishings and decor are outstanding you feel like you are stepping back in time. Situated very centrally you are within walking distance of everything you want to do within the fort and you are positioned in just the right place to watch the sunset from the walls. There are only three rooms - ours was the Ginger Suite. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very spacious with stone bath and shower overhead. Don’t think there was a plug for the bath so you probably can’t use it. Beautiful upstairs balcony overlooking the frangipani tree in the courtyard. Manager Malindu was very attentive and always happy to help. He offered to post our postcards for us as post office not open on weekend. Very clean and breakfast good. Enjoyed the pool after our sightseeing although we did get quite a few insect bites - probably attracted to the moisture and the greenery. Would recommend this small hotel.
We just returned from our wonderful holiday at Ceylon Olive in Galle. This property caught my eye when i first saw the amazing reviews on booking.com and was so glad we chose it as our destination and made a booking directly with the owner via whatsapp. Our main criteria was that we could take our doggie Pippa along with us because it always breaks our heart when we leave her behind and go on holiday. Kumudu, the owner agreed immediately upon my request. However, please do check with him first before you take your pet because there could be different circumstances at the time you book so it's always better to do so :) Rooms : Spacious, comfortable and well thought of in the sense that they had all the amenities needed. A safe, Mini fridge, TV, really good Wifi, Amazing air-conditioning plus a fan in the room and porch, comfortable beds, Hair dryer, in-room tea + Coffee, 2 large water bottles and more. We stayed in the "Cinnamon" room but i was able to check the other three rooms out and they had the same amenities. Bathroom : spacious and open air shower + bathtub. perfect water pressure and spotlessly clean and included two bath towels and pool towels + shower gel and shampoo Ambience : So relaxing and quiet. My husband, doggo and I had such a peaceful, relaxing time in the garden and had a very refreshing dip in the pool as well. Each room has a porch and sitting area which we enjoyed having a drink in while playing Monopoly Deal Food : Home cooked and amazingly tasty! I would recommend anyone to let Kumudu know the menu you wish to have in advance and he will get it arranged for you with some added extras as well. We recommend the fish curry and string hoppers very much! I left the best for last : The service was simply amazing. Kumudu and his family live on the property and are so attentive to every small detail. We requested that Pippa gets her meal heated up and sent to us by 8:30 pm and it came to us exactly at that time. Such dedication and attention to detail is not something you see often and the three of us really appreciate it. Everyone was so kind and caring that it honestly made us feel like we were visiting people that we knew for a long time and it definitely felt like home! Overall, just amazing! Thank you so much for allowing us to bring Pippa on our holiday and you made her feel really special and loved too! I think she was sadder than us to leave the place! We will definitely be recommending the place and returning
We only stayed for one night and liked it a lot! The guesthouse is not being hosted by the owner it self, but by a very friendly paid host and his mom. The rooms are spacious and clean, big balcony with pool view possible. He will leave soon, so I don’t know if the place will be this good after they leave. The host made our stay very good! Thanks men!
Breakfast was delicious. I stayed with my friends for two nights. The landlord's family of three also lived in it. The attitude was very good. The room was clean and comfortable. This is really worth choosing.
Every time I go out, I will meet all kinds of hotels and service staff. This time, the hotel really wants to vomit. The hotel is booked at a hotel price of RMB 600+. When the hotel is approaching the hotel, the price of the hotel is reduced by about 200 yuan. After Ctrip’s coordination failed, there was still no value-added service at the front desk. The hotel room was not mentioned, I can understand without the toothbrush slippers, and later told me that there is no conversion plug, I also endured it, and finally the socket of the hotel's kettle can not match any socket in the room. I am really convinced... The natural environment of Sri Lanka is similar. The hotel should still repair more soft power, not just a few net red pats and vibrato. In addition, the lobby service remembers to tip, and the effect before and after the money is completely different.
The staff of the hotel is very good in service and try their best to meet the needs of the guests. The performance is very good. The environment is very good. The sea view is very beautiful and comfortable. , Very comfortable, relatively rich breakfast variety, in line with the hotel's price, no outstanding items, dishes for lunch and dinner need to be improved, especially some high-quality seafood hotels do not provide, sorry! Two swimming pools, great for swimming and fitness, overall great
The Check in was a little Strange... Staff were not ready for us and it seemed as if we had to wait around. We booked the boat for ourselves... so had the luxury of the entire Boat. Two Bedrooms both with En suite and very clean and comfortable. There were private terraces of the bedroom and we were made to feel comfortable. The upper deck is a nice touch... just a shame that the Boat is not licenced to sell alcohol.. take your own. We set off for our boat cruise at 16.30 which was lovely and tranquil. Upon return we were served dinner at the front of the Boat... Unfortunately the main meal for me and my Husband was Inedible. We had a lovely restful night and woke up to the river. We were served breakfast at 07.30 whilst we set off on the morning cruise... fabulous. Would definately recommend... just needs a few tweaks. We stayed 30th December to 31st one night.
This villa was a perfect size for our family of 6. The villa location is a 20 minute (1.5km) walk to the beach, ideal for walking off the generous and yummy breakfast. There is 1 restaurant close by (Time Out), or for more options (local and delicious food) it is a 15 minute walk to the main road...tuk tuks are also very close by for a quick 3 minute ride. We found that Hashan was very responsive to all our needs, so if anything is unexpected he is happy to put things right straight away. Something to be aware of (especially those with children), there was no washing machine, and the swimming pool was unavailable... my search was for facilities that included these amenities so it was a bit disappointing, however I still rate 5* as the service given by Hashan and his family was 100%. A great place to stay, great service and location!
In Galle, it should be considered a better hotel. The style is a bit close to the hotel. Remember to remind everyone that hotels in Sri Lanka do not provide slippers and toothbrushes. Many hotels in Thailand are the same. And this house has no toiletries, only a piece of soap. Everyone has to bring it by themselves. After all, people are poorer.
