To begin, the atmosphere is lively! I am a lively person, but being there for business I was sad that I didn’t have more energy to truly enjoy the experience. This is a great hotel for a bachelorette or weekend getaway for sure! First, the front desk ladies are super friendly and welcoming— they also provided a poker chip for a complimentary drink. The bar was great as well and I thoroughly enjoyed the signature cocktail. The bartenders were very nice and accommodating. On to the room... small, but honestly, the cleanest room I’ve ever seen! It reminds me of European rooms which are small, but the fun isn’t in the room, right?! Very pleased with the comfortable and clean room. I’ll certainly return for pleasure on the next round :)

The only reason why I didn’t rate this a 1 is because the customer service was decent. There’s mold everywhere. Smells musty. Cramped design. Rust. Stains. The coffee maker spewed out black and orange flakes. No bed bugs at least. But the floor is kinda nasty. It’s this concrete title. So walking around makes your feet feel nasty. First room wouldn’t unlock because they have issues with the locks. So after 15 mins of changing keys, we were offered a different room. Second room had black mold and smelled awful. So we were offered a third room. Third room smelled less awful and had less mold, but it was upstairs, and at that point we were so exhausted we took it. But it still was the most uncomfortable stay I’ve ever had. Good luck having a decent workspace - the little table set up is the smallest table I’ve ever seen at motel/hotel/inn. I ended up just working on the bed instead. Still weird stains everywhere. Still some mold. And there were these weird looking bugs crawling around. Also, no elevators. So if you’re disabled, you’re stuck on the first floor where the mold is the worst.

AC Hotel is the perfect location when visiting UT. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The true stars of my stay were the Towne Park Valet Staff. John Moore was a life saver and went above and beyond what most valets would do. He helped repair my car to make sure I could leave the hotel safely and get on the road. Tyler was friendly and reassuring during this very stressful time. I cannot thank them enough. I will certainly be staying at AC again!.

Although the building can be a bit outdated the service was amazing. I checked in with Tex who provided me with the best room available. Although he couldn't upgrade me to any other suites as it wasn't available, he gave me a voucher for an alcoholic drink. He also provided me late checkout of 12PM (you have to ask for it). As a diamond member, I was given $30 (15 per guest) for food and drink credit. The breakfast buffet was $21. My wife was sleeping upstairs, so I wanted to bring her back some food. Dan, the person helping me, provided me with 2 boxes and a cup for fruit. He states to load it up as much as you can. He was very friendly and helpful. The valet service can be a steep price as it was $45/day for overnight parking.

This hotel is a bit old and needs updating. The shower lacked hot water and the power outlets in the bathroom were inoperable. The headboard was old and tattered on one of the beds. Front desk employee was extremely pleasant and bubbly. Hotels are a bit pricey in Austin but if you want something a bit more current I recommend spending an extra 50-100 dollars. This was my first time staying at a Marriott aloft hotel. I was dealing with food poisoning and was not feeling fantastic. Meghan at the front desk did an awesome job and checked me in as quickly as possible. The whole staff was a great group and treated me well. No one likes to be ill when traveling but the staff made it at least more bearable. They extended my check out time to allow for a few more hour for rest and recovery. The rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. Overall a nice facility and well run.

They have a roach problem. First night we were there was greeted by a huge roach in the bathroom. I informed the front desk and they moved me to another room. We get into another room then go out for the night. We come back in around 2am only to find 2 more roaches in the bathroom. We inform the front desk again and asked if we wanted to move to another room for the third time !!! We were exhausted and just requested to speak to the manager in which we were told he comes in at 10a. Next morning we get to the desk at 1030 and told the manager comes in at 11a so we leave a name and # so he can contact us. Around 1120a he never calls so we go back up to the hotel only to be greeted by a rude manager named Raul. He informed us he couldn't give us a full refund cause we still stayed in the hotel after the 2nd roach incident..... it was 2am !!! He insisted they don't have a roach problem and it's cause of the heat. I'd say 2 different rooms and 3 different roaches... you got a problem. I'm pretty sure health code is against roaches. It's extremely unhealthy and disgusting.

This was a first staying at a Canopy by Hilton; what an amazing location! From the minute of walking in the front door, you are met with a ”fresh breath of air” ambiance! The staff, especially Leonard, Heidi, and Jordyn, taking care of every detail of my stay was perfection...great attention to detail, professionalism, and personality!! Every detail from the cleanliness of the room, the bar, and Verbena (the restaurant) was fantastic! You MUST have dinner at Verbana. Highly recommended for a quick weekend stay or a stayation in downtown Austin.

After a long day we finally arrived in Austin about 10:30pm. We followed the GPS to the address only to be redirected several times due to closed roads and construction. This is obviously not the fault of the hotel but maybe there should be a disclaimer on how to locate them! After about 45 minutes we FINALLY figured out how to get to the hotel. It was Thursday night and the night clerk was so nice. She chatted with us about how long it took to locate the hotel. We laughed about how she must have this and conversation over and over with disgruntled out of towners. We inquired about local places to grab food and she recommended using Uber eats because of the road issues. Either way she was delightful to talk to after our experience! We checked into our room 437. The room was clean but certainly outdated. The wood was very dark which made the room dark. There were not plugs on both sides of the bed so you could not plug up 2 cpaps. The bed itself was comforting but the pillows were terrible! They are the kind that are flat when you last on them. You'd need 5 or 6 to be comfortable. The bathroom was fairly small and had great water pressure! Plus the water got hot quickly. The people in the room next to us were smoking in their room and we could smell it in our bathroom. But it was late so we shut the bathroom door and went to sleep. The food for breakfast was very carb driven. No fruit offered. We opted to eat elsewhere. On Friday evening we once again got lost returning to the hotel so we decided we were going to check out and go to another hotel. As we were talking to the Friday clerk (8pm) and explained that we were going to checkout in the mooring instead of Monday she looked at us and said ok. Got on her computer made a few comments and appeared irritated. I asked her if she wanted to know why we were leaving. She didn't! Then we found out the elevators are no longer working. I asked if she knew how long it would be before they are fixed. I am on the 4th floor and have issues walking fire to 2 ankle surgeries and vertigo. She said nope no clue. Have good night. Seriously a terrible response. On Saturday we walked down to the lovely clerk and asked her if she knew we were checking out early. She pulled up our account and said nothing was noted. Then she inquired about our stay. We expressed the difficulty of navigating to the hotel (apparently many people are having this issue and canceling their reservations) and the smoke wafting into our room via the air vents. She was so apologetic. I told her I tried to tell the Friday night clerk but she seemed bothered to have to deal with me. The morning clerk discounted out room rate as well due to the issues. Overall if the traffic route was fixed and I was visiting we would stay here again. 2 out of the 3 staff we interacted with super nice. The smoking was the biggest issue overall! Plus the elevator was fixed Friday evening.

Check-in was easy ... room was okay ... mattress decent but pillows, like all other hotels around, are not good. The shower head was defective .. very little water pressure. Being a HH Diamond Member, I am offered a total of $20 for two people. The breakfast there was horrible ... Everything from croissants, danish, bagels, etc. were frozen. There wasn't even bacon on the buffet or orange juice. Coffee even was not good .. very old tasting. The eggs that were on the buffet were not fresh eggs and not super hot ... very disappointed in the breakfast since many other Hilton Garden Inn's offer awesome food and fresh / not frozen. Felt like we were at a Home2Suites which I would expect not to be freshly baked items, but .... I would not recommend this property.

It’s hard to decide whether to leave 2 stars or 3. In some aspects, I’d give 5 stars. In other ways, it’s zero. It was rather expensive, and that would’ve been ok if we had any breakfast, but there was nothing, not even coffee on our second day. We are in the midst of a pandemic and so I can understand that services may be limited, but to have nothing? There were three employees behind the desk while people were going downstairs looking for breakfast, these three were doing nothing to explain, apologize, or alleviate the situation. We had a partial breakfast the first day, and it was served with bad attitude. There was not a lot of food, and nothing to drink. Juice and soda machine dispensers were out of order, there was a little bit of old coffee in the bottom of the jug, but no creamers, no milk, nothing. When the nice lady came out from the kitchen, I asked if they had any milk. (Since I did have two small bowls of cereal). The lady asked me how many I wanted, I said four, she asked for how many people, I told her two people. She replied that I could only have one per person. That’s one half pint per person. I was speechless, having not been chastised for asking for milk, ever, but it felt like elementary school. The lady was very angry. I asked a guy at the front desk if they had more milk and he said he’d check on it and get back. He didn’t. In hindsight, that angry lady was probably upset with the situation there, being overwhelmed and without support from the management. She probably just didn’t show up for work the next day. I don’t blame her if that’s the case, since she obviously wasn’t receiving any support from the front desk people. Having been in management, if I had been caught standing around three deep, with absolutely no resolution to a problem, I’d have been given a decision making leave. They couldn’t have seen to it that coffee, juice, boxes of cereal were there? No signage? No breakfast vouchers? A donut crumb? A few loyalty points? We paid for breakfast, and usually, Staybridge is so good with the breakfast. In fact, that’s why we stayed here instead of the other IHG or other hotels that were near we needed to be. Of all the times I’ve stayed at IHG properties, this one stands out, for incompetent management. Also, there were 2 baby roaches on the kitchen counter, so we didn’t feel comfortable cooking or having food there. There were no signs of any bugs in any other part of our rooms. The rooms don’t appear to be newly renovated as advertised, but it was fine, and the pool was nice and clean. The gentleman that checked us in, he was very nice and helpful, he located a luggage cart for us that someone had abandoned upstairs. We’ve stayed in two other IHG properties since this unfortunate visit, and thankfully, they’ve restored my faith. This place needs to get it together. Our room was over $500 for two nights.

What a wonderful and clean hotel with excellent staff! How refreshing to go into a clean hotel after a really long day and be greeted by the kindest staff who not only got us quickly checked in, she also was kind enough to help us get booked at a local state park and searched up local shops that my kids wanted to go to. The room was comfortable and the pool was clean. Hotel was quiet. Only slight complaint was that the elevators can get backed up, which led us to take the stairs. Other than that, stay was perfect!

Great place if you need the space to spread out. Room has 2 queen beds plus a pull out sofa bed. Great for larger families or kids that don’t want to sleep with siblings. Room had small bar sink in area with microwave and large dorms size refrigerator. While no door to separate beds from “living room”, the overall room was set up with the feel of 2 different spaces. Hotel itself had a clean and fresh feel. On the north side of town about 10 min from UT campus. Great for family visits with UT students. Particularity liked that didn’t have to deal with the I-35 traffic across the bridge since we were north of campus.

Marriott Lifetime Platinum and currently here in the hotel on a work trip. The location is the best imaginable and the service is good and consistent with the W brand (though some hiccups at check-in with the team not offering the Platinum perk options). The room is nice and overlooks the water making it super attractive and nice to wake up to. The WET Deck is also great - and while drinks are overpriced, it is a fun destination for both partying over the weekend and relaxation during mid-week sunset times. The problem was really at the Trace restaurant. I was having a breakfast with a collegaue ordering their Chorizo Omelette priced at $17 + tax and tip and not including coffee. the dish showed up with 2 clearly paced and horrifically visible pubic hairs in the dish, curling their way through the sauce. The kind waitress was called, apologized and took the dish - returning after 10 minutes with the dish and a kind quick apology. Clearly, not all the dish has been remade as the chorizo at this point was overcooked and the potatoes cold. No compensation, no offer for additional items, no attempt to cover the meal after trying to feed us hair from the chef's intimate parts for breakfast. Disgusting, unacceptable, and unprofessional from a hotel at this level.

A bit dated but clean facility nonetheless. Staff is helpful and friendly. After landing from flight out of CA and was looking forward to some real openness after COVID, this place reminds me of being stuck in SIP. I don’t mind the takeout breakfast, but the selection can definitely improved for what they charge. Banana, store bought muffins and breakfast bar, oatmeal packages, yogurt...how about so,e hard boiled eggs, more yogurt selection than just orange flavor? Maybe bagels and donuts? Even just milk and cereal would be welcomed by the kids...

Well this hotel has floored me in so many ways good and bad. Arrival/Reception After two cancelled flights and a hell of a journey from UK I couldn’t not face any bad customer service. The chap on Saturday evening (think called Jake) probably have me the best welcome I have had in any hotel globally. What an amazing young man. He made me feel happy to be here and I must say this chap talent with people needs to be recognised. Room The suite was spacious and very clean. Only downside no safe to store valuables. Pool Surprised to see holiday inn express with a pool a lovely add on. It is fine for what I wanted. Breakfast It’s free so I shouldn’t criticise. The amount of single use plastic made me sad and very disappointed that this hotel shows lack of care about the environment. I spend 340 days in hotels, Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons, Rosewood, one and only, St Regis, back in time after the crisis of Airbnb SPG and Marriott decided to make a joint venture and Marriott has destroyed what was left on the business model of Sheraton or Westin, the old Westin and the old Sheraton that I have in my mind were you could enjoy Bellman, concierge, In room Dining, silverware, today what's left it is a very sad of the situation that shows what's really happening in the USA, the lack of good services, nobody wants to work, so the decline of the USA people lifestyle it's here they reduced the staff, due to higher wages, so there are few personnel in the hotel, the whole building is running by a handful of people with at least 10 different multi purpose positions so the Company has no choice but turn it into a Days Inn/ Double Tree... No Inroom dining, no concierge, no Bellman, Silver ware no nothing. With all that being said. This is more that a review, this is a melancholic writing to see with deep sadness and sorrow the destruction of the western world before my eyes. Today in Asian airlines, hotels, restaurants we enjoy a royalty treatment. That's why I live in Singapore and with sadness, I see the US and all it's service into this free fall without ending to reach it's destruction. Is this the fault of the staff or the General Manager. No it isn't. This is nothing but the destruction of a civilization as we used to know it. The worst part it is about to come when we see the bankruptcy of all this properties and they must fire all the staff due to the insostenible situation and we will just have it in our memories, from the old good days. Sorry America for your loss. It was nice to meet you as you used to be during your golden years.
