Stayed overnight due to an early morning flight with an under 2 year old and not wanting the hassle of an hours drive at 4am. Connecting rooms organised for family members and a large cot also sorted by the hotel. Both rooms were reasonable standard, nothing to rave about but no concerns either. All interactions with the staff were friendly and professional. The hotel provided easy, walkable access to the airport and allowed us to make use of the Jet2 "twilight check-in" service, whilst the car parking on site also went smoothly. All in all we got what we expected from the hotel. However, the attached hotel restaurant and bar really needs improvement. More specifically the food does. I've read many reviews over a number of years about the standard and cost of the food, so when these problems persist without any change for years it is obviously a deliberate action by the hotel, rather than an off day, or brought on by challenges from Covid. Put simply the food is terrible. Clearly the hotel have decided that the transient nature of clientele means the food and beverage offering is used to milk customers with few options close by for as much money as possible with little regard for what is served. This is a typical case of preying on a captive audience. £20 for lasagne and chips, served within 5 minutes of ordering and hotter than the sun (was this microwaved?). A burger so cheap and thin that a frozen supermarket own brand burger would blow it out of the water. Even the childrens food is bad. A 'pizzetta' consisting of an inch and a half of bread with a tiny bit of tomato and cheese on the top. And the underlying taste of salt, way too much salt, even on the chicken salad. No-one minds paying a bit extra when in certain places, and next to an airport is one of those places. But the standard has to be at the very least acceptable in relation to its cost, which it is definitely not. Jurys Inn are serving customers sub-Wetherspoons standard food at three times the cost.

We travelled down from Glasgow for a long weekend to see the pearls of the East Midlands. This specific hotel was recommended by a friend and we were not disappointed. From a guest experience point of view, we were highly satisfied with our stay. The operational running of the hotel was evident of a highly competent and experienced manager. Staff were friendly and happy to help - check in was super fast and the information given during check in was helpful and logical. As we travelled down with a wee one a cot was required - this was already set up in our room for our arrival along with fresh clean bed sheets. No need to look for a wifi password as this is accessible to all guests. Gluten free options were readily available and clearly marked during breakfast - this is a constant worry when staying somewhere new as I have Coeliac Disease. The breakfast was the tried and tested Holiday Inn Express experience where I could drink both apple and orange juice whilst watching my gluten free bread become toasted on the conveyor toaster. Fantastic. This was a delightful East Midlands getaway that was fun for all the family. We look to return to the hotel in the future

Enjoyed a lovely night st the Radisson Blu East Midlands Airport. This is the second occasion we have stayed here. Excellent room, large TV, lovely bathroom. We were visiting Nottingham, so a good location, being only 20 minutes away. Ate in restaurant, the meal was very good, very attentive service from staff, was greeted by Hollie, who later took our dessert order. Was also served by Cally, she was able to recommend a choice of gin for my wife. Overall a good stay.

Nice and fairly relaxing. Hotel was a little tired and worn down, but is fine if you want a little room for the night without all the frills. Staff were polite, but not sure if they were a little understaffed. On arrival, the receptionist wasn’t at the desk. However, with 3 sets of people waiting (us included) she was very polite & apologetic on her return. Unfortunately, we were given a room which hadn’t been cleaned (the cleaner had marked as complete!). However, the mishap was quickly sorted. The room was ok, bed very hard with one pillow each. The carpet in the room & hotel just looked old and tired. The best part of our room was definitely the shower. Breakfast was basic, but nice enough - downside was no eggs in the buffet (menu suggested scrambled should be there). Outdoor pool had no water, but can imagine it being a big plus to the hotel when open.
