      Well what to say about this Hotel and Spa. It used to be our special place as me and husband have stayed several times the first time on our wedding night and it was a beautiful and friendly place, so obviously i chose to book an overnight stay and Spa for my husbands birthday how wrong was i! We checked in and took are belongings to are room then went down to the bar area for a drink. The staff were just stood there talking and the bar was filled with customers who were also waiting to be served. After about 10 minutes i called over to the staff to ask if anyone was serving, after several eye rolls between them one of them eventually came. Was then told we could couldn't dine in the restaurant as they were full so we offered to eat in our room as the meal was part of the package. By this time id had enough so decided to go relax in the beautiful Spa (big mistake) i walked into the spa and was shocked at what i was seeing, the hot tub was bored up with dirty planks of wood, the sauna and steam room was out of order. So hmm just the swimming pool? No that was over flowing and the women cleaning was pushing the dirty pool side water back in the pool which was covered in green mould all around the side. I went to find my husband who was in the gym, i told him i was going back to our room as the spa was disgusting he said he would join me when he was done (the girl on reception heard me say this and wasn't impressed) 5 minutes later my husband came to are room very distressed saying i needed to go back to the spa because the manager must have him mistaken for someone else. I ran back to the Spa and asked what was going on, the manager said that my husband had been aggressive to the girl on the reception by this time my husband had joined me, he said do you mean me she said yes. He went on to say i haven't left the gym or spoke to you, she then said you spat in my face! My husband did not no what to say except i did no such thing i was in the gym until your manager came in. Obviously we were outraged. I asked to see cctv footage he said we dont have it. There was also another guest in the gym who could verify my husbands account of things but he refused to ask him. At no point were we asked to leave! If i was the manager i would have rung the police if this had happened to my staff. And as for the girl in question she just stood there smirking. So are stay was ruined we ended up leaving because we didn't want to stay there after this we ended up staying in a travel lodge. Oh and the manager said we would have a full refund which i didn't so ive had to phone the the bank and they have raised it as dispute and are investigating it In short i would not recommend the place to anyone Mrs Miranda Chadwick
