We arrived at Ajiro Stn at 1330 n the ryokan pickup arrived shortly thereafter. We checked in but weren’t given room keys till past 1400. We took a short walk around the garden but did not attempt to walk to the promenade, where there are restaurants n a supermarket, which was about 1km away. The room has a attached toilet but no shower. The ph9.5 Onsen water was not smooth like Kannon in Izukyu-Shimoda, which was a bit of disappointment. There’s an indoor n outdoor, n the water was comfortably hot. Dinner was served in the tatami room, but breakfast was in the dining hall. Food was ok n adequate. Service staff were very friendly n attentive.

We ended up staying here for 2 nights as a last minute change when we found out that our room at Hotel Micuras in Atami had no windows, or at least none that you could see through or open. Ultimately we think that it was a fortunate incident as we really enjoyed it here. What we liked: Beautiful view over bay; Large 2nd floor room - 10 atami mats plus seating area and balcony; 2 private Onsen with views over bay. More Onsen on ground floor, really well appointed with nice rotenburo; Breakfast served in room (2500jpy each per day) is spectacular; Good staff, not intrusive at all; Very cheap, around 10000jpy each per day or less; Short walk to station, with atami and Ito about 10 minutes away by train. Not so much: Very few food options within walking distance, better to catch train to Ito where there are plenty, or Atami; Road out front of hotel is quite busy. All told, really good. We didn't have dinner here but from the quality of the breakfast I'd expect it to be superb.

Typical family-friendly hotel, staying experience is very good, come and comment. Transportation: We take a taxi to and from Atami Station. I later learned that the hotel has a shuttle bus, which runs about half an hour, which is very convenient. Sakura Street and the sea are within walking distance, not far. Service: The service staff who picked up the car downstairs was not very enthusiastic, and the restaurant upstairs was pretty good. Baths: The hotel has two large baths, one is the sea view, on the fifth floor of the main building, this is open at any time, as long as you want to go (there are also open-air soup). There is also a leisure bathhouse where the famous open-air infinity sea bath is located, which is called Fuua. This is a special feature and hotel guests can enter and leave for free once. Fuua is beautiful, comfortable and worth the experience. Breakfast: the disadvantage is that there is no espresso, and the second is that the breakfast reception time is too short. Other perfect, typical Japanese breakfast, delicious. Indoor facilities: The room is bigger than expected, the sea view room is super beautiful, and the mountain view is also good. Two single beds can be pushed together to become a large bed. Don't worry about families with children. Overall the staying experience is great, next time I go to Atami!

The hotel is about an eight to ten minute walk from the station. It's downhill going so fairly easy but quite a climb on the way back, especially with a bag in tow. The quickest route from the station takes you to the back of the hotel. On entry a staff member greeted us and we were asked to take a seat while they checked the reservation and paperwork. All went very smoothly and we were taken to our room and the facilities explained. Perhaps half the rooms do not have a view and I chose one that didn't since it came with a private onsen bath. The twin room was quite large and had double wash basins, a separate toilet, a small refrigerator, a pot for boiling water, and tea and coffee packs. All the necessary amenities such as toothbrushes, razors, shower caps, cotton pads, brushes were also provided. Towels were plentiful also. If you use the communal onsen baths, you take the towels from the room with you. The hotel pajamas are excellent. So good, in fact, that my wife bought a pair from the gift shop near the lobby and the only reason I didn't was the size. Negative points: care needed to be taken when going between the bed area and the washbasins since there was a slight step where one could trip or stub a toe, and there is also a raised bar when entering the bath area. The onsen bath needs filling for use and this takes about 40 minutes, and the wifi in the room was very slow, about 5mps. After dropping off the bags in our room, we headed down to the lounge area where coffee, various teas, juices, and cookies are provided to guests, free of charge, between 2pm and 5pm. We had dinner in the restaurant (French) on the 3rd floor. This is also where breakfast is taken. I had reserved the course menu for the first night only, in advance. The food didn't disappoint, the wine was quite good although a bit overpriced, and the service excellent. Following dinner we headed to the bar, which is on the 2nd floor up the stairs from the lounge area. My reservation included free flowing cocktails (and wine, basic whisky) for 2 hrs. How good is the bartender! I had some of the best cocktails I have had in a long time. As a note. the free-flowing drink option can be had for 3,500 yen a person at the time and, of course, other cocktails and liquors are available at individual pricing. Breakfast started at 7.30 and this is a vegetarian (or vegan) paradise. I don't think I have ever seen such a wide variety of fresh vegetables available in any hotel. There were also gratin dishes, eggs, small sausages, yogurt, fruit, cereal, bread, deserts, juices and a number of small bowls containing a variety of other options. Very filling and quite nutritious. The next two evenings we took dinner at izakaya not too far from the hotel but we returned in the evening to the bar, and those great cocktails. All-in-all, a great stay, with excellent staff. We will no doubt choose to stay here again on our next visit to Atami. (extra note: the car park is, or was, 1200 ye

The hotel is located on top of a hill, you have to take a taxi to get up there if you have luggage. It is very basic, rooms are spacious but old. Staff are friendly, the breakfast is basic but filling. The shower is shared but since you would be using the onsen tub in the hotel, there is no need to use the share shower at all.

My husband's family and I (group of 6 in total) stayed here for one glorious night. The rooms were quite large, the views were spectacular, and the breakfast that was served was one of the best we had during our entire two week travel to Japan! The hosts were incredibly sweet and VERY accommodating. They gave us a ride to the train station and were just so helpful in every aspect. We couldn't leave without exchanging great big hugs and to put our gratitude into words is near impossible. Sure there are lots of steps/stairs to get to the place, but you'll certainly need the workout after eating the large breakfast! I would absolutely recommend this place to everyone and would stay there again in a heart beat!

The location of the hotel is very good, there is a hot spring on the top of the hotel, overlooking the sea, the beauty in the distance is great, the yacht on the sea looks like a fairyland from a distance, like a beautiful picture, the front desk service is very attentive, and the room is large , Clean and tidy, there is a small balcony outside the window, facing the sea, the room facilities are good, very user-friendly, and I went to the famous rose garden. Although the flowers are all gone this season, the sea in front of you is still beautiful, really unnecessary This trip, I will go next time.

Stayed one night in the ryukan in a tour. Amazing experience like a real ryukan. The room is big and during the yum traditional dinner they made the traditional bed. The view from the rooms are aging over the sea but I needed earplug for the crashing waves. The onsen is a must visit so relaxing and includes the shower toiletries and yukata . Breakfast was a little chaotic but good overall. And finally the free shuttle to atami is great
