Solid, square older style hotel ideally located near a park and walking distance to the old centre. Room was large, clean, well equipped with good bathroom. Very quiet with opening windows (not needed). Reception staff friendly and enthusiastic, breakfast had simple offerings but sufficient. I used the laundry service which was excellent. Room service less so as i waited over one and a half hours for the simplest of dinners. I had asked about dining in the restaurant but the stern warning about making a reservation made me decide on room service, an error as it turned out. Overall it was one of those hotels you could stay at longer and can feel comfortable and relaxed in at reasonable cost.

They are rental rooms on a first floor of an apartment building. The location is brilliant, right on the edge of the old town. Decent amenities, but the room itself is a bit worn, the mattresses are too soft and the floor is quite cold, if you decide to stay there I would take some slippers with me :). The cleaner was very polite and considerate. No breakfast unfortunately!

We stayed here for 3 nights of our 16 day European vacation Of all the hotels we stayed in Hotel Torino was by far the worst. We booked and paid extra for a comfort double room expecting a little better room then the standard room. The room we got was cramped there was nothing "Comfort" about the room. I've stayed in nicer chain hotels for less money. Compared to other hotels we stayed in on our trip the Continental Breakfast offerings were sparse with the nothing but instant Nescafe and something other then orange juice in the juice machine. The title of my review I believe is an accurate picture. I rated it 2 stars The only thing Hotel Torino has going for it is it's location near the center of the city. The hotels rates itself a 3 star but here there are many 4 and 5 star reviews which I find strange (Subjective Reviews??) Taking into consideration the places we stayed on this trip and on previous European trips. What they charge to stay here fellow travelers would be better off looking at other hotels in the area. BTW the wife loved the single bulb main light over the bed reminded her of a cheap TV movie interrogation room

Flew from bristol to Bologna go to paper shop at the airport to get an aerobus ticket to the train station 6 euros pp 20mins. At station ticket office to buy train ticket to parma 7.35 euros pp takes about a hours journey. At parma station come out of entrance turn left the Astoria hotel 20mins walk. Reception very helpful took us in their bus to the apartments 7mins. Apartments right in the centre. Lift to 4th floor room 82, just as we asked. Room quite big 2 big windows overlooking the main street no traffic and overlooking roof tops can see the churches. Large sofa bed table 4 chairs microwave units with cooking hob tv.Bathroom shower toilet bidet. Bedroom 2 large windows with same outlook large tv. Perfect No kettle No english channels cannot open safe and in shower no where to put flannel soap shower gel and shampoo, bit awkward. Rang reception 3 times about tv kettle and safe still waiting reply. Outside turn right you on the main drag, garibaldi square all shops there, cross road is where most people eat. Recommend Le Malve beers 3.50 5.00 euros, we did not realise that when you stopped at each place out comes dish of olives peanuts crisps 6 small pizzas forchatta bread with ham in and tortillas all free, they will serve more if you ask but don't need to as will put more on table when finished. Small city very pretty churches and shops. Loved all 5 days. Day of return you ring reception for pick up was a marathon no pick up said they would send taxi no taxi had to walk 30 ins as I have a broken and stick and suitcase was not happy.. At hotel sort of apologised offered us some water thought as a good well gesture could have given us a snack as we had to wait there for hours for train as there was nothing around the area of the hotel to go only a passtiserr Could have let us stay in apartments till marathon finished at 2 we could have eaten at Le Malvern then picked us up. Hockey team staying there complained as all there cars were broken into lots of things taken same attitude with reception just took it as a matter of fact did not seem to care, they were not given any good will gestures. The kettle issue was Italian people do not use kettles as they burn THEMSELVES WHAT!!!!!!. Parma would recommend apartments

My wife and I had a great experience here for 4 days during the Verdi Festival in October. We would have been glad to stay a couple more nights there but the rooms were not available when we were booking. Before we left home, based on advice through email and phone discussions, we upgraded from the regular junior suite we had booked to a corner room with a view, “Lucrezia” on the first floor (not ground floor.) The room was beautifully furnished and spacious, with a kitchenette. It had 4 chairs plus a loveseat, and a small table where we had our room service breakfast one morning. The bed was very comfortable and the housekeeping was impeccable. We enjoyed looking out at the Duomo square and seeing tourists and school kids. At night there was often a group of young people chatting nearby and we could hear them because we had left windows open due to unseasonably high temperatures. In the morning we could also hear the cathedral bells ringing vigorously, and some sounds from municipal vehicles sweeping and/or removing trash. Some guests might prefer a quieter room, and I think it would be available on the other side of the hallway, but we prefer feeling like we are in the middle of things even if it’s not perfectly quiet. There are basically no vehicles permitted in this area so it really is an overall very quiet location. Yet within just a couple minutes leisurely walk, we could be at the Teatro Regio for various festival events, or at any of a dozen or more restaurants. Within a few seconds walk (with required ticket in hand) we could be in the Baptistery, which is truly a world-class site. The included breakfasts were simple but very nice, in the ground level TCafé. Staff served us at a small table; this is not buffet-style. Our requests for another cappuccino were always met promptly and cheerfully. The breakfast baskets included small sandwiches that we sometimes took away to be a later snack if we were out touring or sightseeing and didn’t want to break for a sit-down lunch. One morning the café was not available so we had breakfast in our room and it was a pleasant change of pace. The real star of the Palazzo’s show, however, is the staff. Our feeling was as if the owner Vittorio had told them that good friends (or American relatives) were coming to visit Parma for the first time and to please be sure they had a great experience. The feeling was not that we were “important clients” but truly friends. I don’t know how they found the time to do it, as they were fully booked during the Festival, but they handled many requests for advice and assistance, including arranging a driver from Marco Polo airport, a day tour to a small Lambrusco-producing winery and a balsamic acetaia, many restaurant suggestions and several reservations, even straightening out an online booking error I had made for an opera performance. Some of this was done in advance of our arrival, and they graciously undertook a couple of requests even after

We stayed four nights and used this hotel as home base to travel N, S, E and W to see the landscape and sights in this area of Italy as well as driving to the coast. The hotel is located in the NW area of Parma, close to autostrada/highway access. Our room was modern, clean and comfortable with a balcony with chairs to sit and enjoy fresh air. Parking was free, the elevators and a/c welcomed. All hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a very nice buffet breakfast each morning. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was convenient and deliciously gourmet and friendly wait staff just made our meal better. It was nice to see a professional Italian soccer team also stayed here while we were there.

Great location to old town & train station. Staff were professional & courteous. Suite was very hot so that we had to open all doors to sleep. Fine for winter stay. We stayed for two nights in a junior suite. We booked this suite to ensure that we will get a nicer and spacier room. We arrived early and requested an early check in and were given a darkened and old room, not a suite, on the first floor. We asked to move even if we had to wait for check in time. Initially the response was “not possible, all full”, but then the staff asked how many nights we stayed before agreeing to move us. The new room was a renovated suite on the fifth floor, 504, the kind of suite shown on the hotel website and that we paid extra for. Management needs to stop this kind of practice to retain guest loyalties instead of trying to push an awful room onto unsuspecting guests. The depressing room should not be given to any guest regardless of the price until it’s renovated. Because of this problem, we only gave a 4 stars rating.

Arriving from Mantova and Sabbioneta, the hotel was easy to find and we parked the car at their parking inside the property with direct access to the lobby. Nice when you have a lot of heavy luggage. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. We request a different room than the one we were given and got it without any problem. Very comfortable beds. All along our 4 day stay the staff was always smiling and helpful. They recommended a very good restaurant for the night of my wife birthday. The breakfast was copious and served according to the Covid rules. The room was very well equipped and clean. The restaurant was closed because of Covid. The location is great and we could visit Parma without using our car. We highly recommend this hotel which also has good meeting facilities.

This is a quiet little town, love here because of Parma Football Club. The train ticket did not arrive here, Ctrip customer service was very good, helped to send the Milan ticket to the bus (but need to transfer in Bologna), the train also met an Italian girl, became a friend. The hotel is on the left side of the car fire station, go to the big supermarket about two stops, go to the Parma Tardini stadium about five or six stations, but unfortunately missed the game with Pita, can only feel the excitement of the fans to win. I bought a lot of souvenirs at the club. I was very fortunate. I met an enthusiastic club official and took us to the stadium. I also chatted for a while. The English is better among the Italians. It is more convenient to eat, shop, go to the church in the city.

The room was a good size, although it felt outdated because of all the wooden furniture and old bed spread. The shower head was really weak, and the kitchen costs extra to use. The room had a really strong smell of cleaning products, especially the curtains, which made it hard to breathe unless you had the windows open. The location is really good, close to the main streets, and in a nice and quiet residential area. Checking in and out at another hotel was fine because it’s close to the train station, so it’s good if you’re traveling by train.

We stayed here while visiting friends and family in Parma who suggested this hotel for us. There were 5 of us and the apartment was perfect! The two bedrooms up on top along with the washer and dryer made this home away from home while we visited other cities in Italy. My children said that they liked Parma the best out of the other cities in Italy because of the people, food, quaint downtown, etc. The air conditioning was not working quite right one day and the office came and looked at it immediately. When we visit Parma again, and we will visit Parma again, this will be the place. We loved it!

The hotel room itself was just average. The room was small for the price paid and the bedding was typical for the area: heavy duvet with no separate flat sheet, thin pillows. The shower was large with ample hot water. Amenities were sparse with no in-room coffee or tea. Hotel parking was easy as there are plenty of spaces available onsite. The location was easy to find, but it is a bit outside the city center, so you’ll have a short drive for seeing the old town and other dining options. The best meals that I found in Parma, however, were in this hotel restaurant: breakfast, lunch and dinner were all excellent.

I travelled to Italy with work, staying at the hotel for two nights. Located in the town centre located next to a car park. An easy walk to into the rest of the town to explore. Reception were very pleasant and check in was smooth. I had a room on top floor overlooking the carpark. Not the best of views but that didn't matter as I was only using the room to sleep in. The room itself was of a decent size, however it was bland and very grey, with more grey on top. It was if it was trying to have an industrial edge to it. Not a style that I found appealing. It was clean, well laid out and warm. Bed was comfortable and bathroom had a decent shower. Bar is pleasant with decent selection of drinks. I only ate at the hotel for breakfast which was a continental buffet style. Nice enough and worked for me. Check out was straightforward, again pleasant staff. It did what I needed and a good price too.

The service is exceptional, rooms comfortable and functional. It’s set back from a busy street so no road noise is heard anywhere even during rush hour. The hotel’s restaurant is adequate, even better for breakfast. Turn left out the drive for a very short hop to the Autostrada del Sole (A1). Think instead of turning right for a stroll (less than 3 km) straight into Parma’s center. At first it’s noisy and frenetic but after the railway underpass automobiles are replaced by bicycles then streets completely closed to traffic taking you among town’s older, historic places. Parma’s center offers genuinely good dining options even in its most touristed parts. Coming late may be particularly gratifying; the streets nearly empty, peacefully leaving you among stately buildings that are nicely illuminated.
