0.14km from Mamarine RestaurantHad a lovely stay at the hotel during my first visit to Phuket, Thailand. Hotel was well located to the beach, about a 5 min walk. 15 mins to walk to Bangla Road, which is do-able, but it's advisable to hire a taxi using Grab (similar to Uber) if heading further afield. The road (near the hotel) is quite bendy and (if you're walking), you have to be wary of traffic, especially minibuses. When booking tours, it was nice that our hotel was (nearly-always) first because the location is in the north-end of Patong. So finishing tours would drop me off early. Pool was warm (although I didn't spend as much time in it as I would have liked too), breakfast was a wide variety (banana loaf cake for the win!), and hotel lobby was spacious. Room (401) was massive, with a lovely comfy double bed, fluffy pillows and air con. Room had a mini-fridge under the wardrobe, where I stored my water bottles. The hotel also provided x2 FREE bottles of water each day. These went straight in the fridge. Bathroom was good, with plenty of height space in the shower and a complimentary bottle (note: bottle, not vials) of shower gel ("cream wash"). This was fixated onto the wall within the shower, so there was no need to use the shelf for my own. Wide variety of TV Channels. BBC World News and AccorHotels were the only english speaking ones. There was CNBC Golf, ABC Australia News and Fox News channels too. Quite nice to watch Thai news or Thai TV Channels that we brits cannot access here. Con's: When checking out, there was no member of staff on the taxi-desk (at 5am) so I had to use the ATM (there's two near the hotel) to withdraw money. It's a shame that the taxi operators do not accept card payments in 2020, and rely on the 800baht cash (about £20 for the hour trip to the airport). The bank charged me an extra 200 (£2.50) fee to withdraw. Hotel located on a one-way stretch of road, meaning it was difficult for tour operators to access it. Hotel breakfast could do with having baguettes. Room was the furthest from the lifts (end of the corridor) and on the 4th floor, so that wasn't ideal. The stairs were in a 3 way triangle, so getting down was ok, but climbing back up wasn't fun. The stairs did lead to the pool though. Room TV would always come on automatically when I inserted my card key into the light switch. The signal was awful but the english-speaking tour guide advertising AccorHotels was alright. Just wish the TV wouldn't automatically turn on every time. Mini-Fridge had a short-circuit so the cold-ness wouldn't always be active. This meant my water wasn't always cold. Overall, really enjoyed my stay at the hotel, and would recommend it to anyone visiting Patong Beach, Phuket.
