0.75km from Sketch Restaurant & LoungeGood location in a tree lined street. Our room was clean and although small, it was comfortable with dated but functional furniture. Apparently refurbished and only open for 12 months. Whilst there was no hair conditioner, tissues, coffee or milk we now realize that this is common throughout the accommodation we stayed at during our 3 weeks in Azerbaijan, Amenia and Georgia. Staff, whether at reception, in the bar/restaurant or housekeeping were friendly and eager to please, considering the language issues. Our room was serviced daily. Breakfast was varied, with fruit, boiled eggs, salad, cold cuts, tea, coffee available. We had one evening meal at the restaurant which was very good - probably not traditional, local cuisine, but enjoyable and reasonably priced, as was the wine and beer. As stated previously, the hotel's location is a real positive because it is within a short walking distance to the main streets of Baku and not much further to the Promenade that stretches around the Caspian Sea and the Old City. Can recommend Aksent Hotel if considering a stay in Baku.
