|0.11km from city centerAfter the check-in, I encountered a series of problems. The front desk arranged people to help me solve the problem. The service was very good. My suitcase is broken, and the hotel is looking for someone to help me get it. Then the skinny is too slippery to open the door. The front desk is looking for repairs. I can wrap the tape on the handle to facilitate my access and the hotel steak is super delicious.

|7.18km from city centerLocation was amazing. Right next to the train/metro station and only around 20mins to city centre. Only downside is there's no hot water kettle. Need to buy from the dispensing machine at lobby, and there was no microwave to heat up my food if needed. So if you are someone who snacks at night (supper etc.), need to figure your way out. Can't even make a packet soup or coffee/tea as there's no hot water :(

|0.47km from city centerIn general, this hotel is fair, especially with its great location. The city tram stop is just downstairs and there are 2 metro stations nearby.
Just the hotel is a bit run-down; everywhere gives you an aged feeling. But it’s a tidy and clean hotel. The shower head is slightly broken with water leaking from its head, so need to take notice when using it hot and some damages to the mirror etc.
Also if you have heavy luggage and suitcases, do take notice of the steep staircases. There is no elevator.

Only downside is the Wifi would come And go as they only have 1000 IP address's so sometimes it drops out after a couple hours.
Would defo stay there again, great value for money when i went

Amsterdam Oud Zuid
Amsterdam
|2.18km from city centerWe had a magnificent stay at De ware Jacob Hotel with a family of five at the end of 2020. With the Covid restrictions it was not easy to travel around, but nonetheless we decided to spend a weekend in Amsterdam benefitting from the beauty of the city with fewer tourists at this moment in time. This Hotel was recommended to us as a cosy newly renovated boutique hotel at the heart of the Museum District, and the price was really good, so we were not disappointed. Our stay was even more memorable than expected. We were received by the very friendly owner and treated with a glass of Cava. The suites and the family rooms were very nice and spacious, we also benefitted from an upgrade, which was a nice gesture. A nice sushi dinner was delivered from a nearby restaurant and we enjoyed it in the lounge with a nice restaurant ambiance. We were pleasantly shocked to be given the variety of Georgian natural wines tasting by the host, something we never tried before, accompanied by the delicious strawberry covered in chocolate. Fantastic!! Breakfast was nicely presented, had nice selection and we were also offered a glass of Prosecco to start the day, but instead decided to swap it for extra cappuccinos and a homemade cake on the house. The city itself was delightful, being not so crowded as usual. We really enjoyed walking in the nearby park. Also went to The Red Light district which was absolutely empty, something unforgettable and special!!! It was indeed a very pleasant break in beautiful Amsterdam.

|0.31km from city centerThe hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and has a standard service, there is no special interest for the guests in enjoying the passenger. Regular location, very tourist and popular trade area, of low quality compared to shops like restaurants. I prefer other areas of Amsterdam, more sofisticated and at the same prices. Price-quality relationship is definitely not the best.

Rooms were in good condition, had a room without a bath, and changed to a room with a bath without any problems.
I would gladly go back because of tram/bus service to town and most available in same area.
Just a shame they charged us 5 Euros for an hour earlier check in.
There's a non smoking and no bar/ restaurant but plenty around the hotel.
All in all a fat 9.....

|0.72km from city centerSmall hotels, stairs are really amazing, but it is estimated that small hotels in the center of Amsterdam are like this, it is really not recommended for leg inconvenience. Parking is not very convenient. Because I don’t know how to pay more than 60 euros for 24 hours, I have a big loss. It is said that it is free on the road at night, and it is not easy to park during the day. Nothing to say about the location in the city center, very convenient, the bed is really narrow

Spacious room.
Stylish design but the walls are quite mouldy
There’s drainage problem in the bathroom on the first night. The staff helped us to change the room swiftly.
One interesting thing - there is a card in the room to indication whether u need cleaning service or not, as in usual hotel. But the card got two side: - red, don’t need service and don’t come into the room; - blue: no cleaning but will be granted with the welcome drink voucher.
For some reason our card was flipped to red side and we couldn’t not found voucher. And even when we go down to the reception to ask for the voucher. They refuse to give us because they marked in the system that we put on the red side. We were like ummm fine but as a hotel we would appreciate if you could be less calculating and little more generous.
Quite far from the city centre we take Uber to get into the city centre ~€12.4 trip.
Amazing sunset and view from the room.

Amsterdam
|1.56km from city centerThe hotel is in a great location. It takes only 3 minutes to get to the Van Gogh Museum and 5 minutes to get to the National Museum. It takes less than 1 hour to walk to the important attractions in the city. It takes 9 stops to take the 397 bus directly from the airport. It costs 4.03 euros to swipe the credit card directly. It only takes one and a half hours from the plane landing to check in. Several waiters at the hotel front desk were very enthusiastic. After checking out the next day, 4 pieces of luggage were stored. Each piece of luggage was labeled and put in a special room. The waiter also asked us to take pictures so that it would be convenient to pick up the luggage if we couldn't find the stub. There is a large supermarket near the hotel, which is only about 5 minutes' walk, but it doesn't open until 8 o'clock in the morning. Although the room is not very big, it is clean and sanitary. There is an electric kettle and a coffee machine. 4 coffee capsules and tea bags were given.

Oude Centrum

|0.54km from city centerThe location is just across the street from Amsterdam Central Station. This should be one of the core areas of Eminem. The front entrance of the hotel is small and inconspicuous. You have to find it by the number of the house. There is only a small door, and then you enter the front door on the second floor.
I think this hotel should be a little old, it looks old, the shower head is rusty, and the radiators in the room are all dusty. The single room on the top floor that I live in actually feels like a loft. The room is small, but considering the location is so convenient, the facilities can be ignored. Anyway, there are some.
Needless to say the geographical location, I only stayed one night in Emu for a transfer, so I picked this very close to the train station and walked to the station in a few minutes. I searched the Internet and found that the red light district was next to me. When I was all right at night, I walked around and looked around. It was very close. There are all shops downstairs in the hotel, but to buy things early, in December it feels that they are almost closed at around 10pm.
The only thing to vomit is that the stairs are too difficult to climb. . The long and narrow staircase came up to the front desk on the second floor. Then my room was on the fifth floor. All the way up was a very narrow and steep staircase, with a rotating, dragging a dozen kilograms of boxes. Taking a stop for a while, they were tortured. They also did not have an elevator, and there was a fork in the stairs on the same floor. If you did n’t pay attention to seeing the number and sign in the wrong direction, it would not work. So if you have a large suitcase, consider it carefully. Basically qualified in other respects.

|3.62km from city centerThe transport from Railway Station Centraal with bus #22 takes 20 minutes to the end station Sloterdijk. It cost 1 €. You also can use the train from Centraal to Sloterdijk. From here, there are direct trains to the Amsterdam airport and further to Belgium, France etc. From Sloterdijk you can walk in 15 Minutes to Dutchies hostel.
The big advantage is they have a kitchen where you can cook by yourself. There are refrigerators, an oven, a sink for cleaning and all equipment for cooking and eating like plates, kettles, glasses, cups etc.

Oude Centrum

|0.71km from city centerI stayed for 2 nights on January 17th and 18th, 2024.
The young white man at the front desk took a long time to check in and was unpleasant.
I was surprised that even though I had made a reservation, the guests had to enter my name, country of origin, phone number, etc. into an iPad. By the way, I have stayed at other hotels in Amsterdam and Brussels, but this is the only one where check-in was so difficult. While I was inputting my personal information, the front desk staff took a long time to settle the remaining amount of the accommodation fee, even though he had plenty of time, and in the end he asked me whether or not I would have breakfast. I also forgot to tell you about the breakfast venue.
So when I checked out, I avoided him and asked a black woman to help me, but she asked me to pay an additional fee that I didn't know about. End of asking for help. It seems that the front staff lacks training.
There is no toothpaste set, and the amenities are minimal, such as shampoo. The Nespresso in the room worked properly and I was able to drink coffee.
The room felt clean. The air conditioner in the room was made by Daikin, a Japanese manufacturer, and the room temperature was comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was weak, but the shower room was clean and there was hot water.
The location is 8 minutes walk from Amsterdam Central Station, making it very convenient for traveling and sightseeing.
Also, this is an advantage for men, but even though the hotel is not in the red-light district, there are more than 10 red-light windows near the back streets, so you can enjoy it.

|9.26km from city centerUnfortunately, upon arrival we still had to pay 30 euros in costs. This is in addition to the booking costs. They said this included parking costs and tourist tax.
We no longer book through trip.com. We don't like this kind of antics. With other booking sites I have never had extra costs that were so excessively high.
The shower head needs to be descaled. Gutter zinc is also completely calcified. A guest in a hotel room had a beatbox on loudly until 2 a.m. We ordered a drink on the 18th floor.....quick time...and had to wait half an hour for it.
The view of the room is beautiful to experience. Beds are nice and soft.

|1.39km from city centerThe hotel is close to the Rijksmuseum and only two stops from the Central Station by subway. It is the first time in Europe that a deposit is required upon check-in. The room is arranged on the top floor of the fifth floor. The stairs are narrow and steep, and it is difficult to carry luggage up and down. It is very hot during the day and there is no air conditioning. There is a cool breeze outside the window in the morning and evening, which is manageable. There is not even a chair in the room. The room fee is 700-800 RMB per day. It is not a waste of money to invest in adding necessary facilities.
