One night stay, 10 mins walk away from Euston, 15 mins walk to Soho and central London - great location. Check in was quick and easy and the room was great. Very large bed. Small bathroom as expected for London. Quiet room. Only negative was there was no air conditioning - we stayed when it was 32 degrees in London so it was very hot - there was a fan in the room which provided some relief but air con would have been better. However we would definitely stay here again and recommend anyone to do so

The room was nice. The location is really superb. However, the check-in process took too long, around one and a half hours which it should not be that long when you have 4-5 receptionist there. The staffs is polite and helpful.

Close to UCL Our room is on the fourth floor, there is no elevator, dragging heavy luggage and walking the narrow stairs. The room was really small, two people were too crowded, three of us. The main location is good. The bathroom is small, but there is floor heating, the clothes will dry, and the winter is particularly good. The room was hot. In particular, the breakfast at her house, the three of us gave a small blue roasted scented three kinds of bread, really delicious. We are scented from the fourth floor to the restaurant in the morning, it should be an unforgettable fragrance. The taste is also awesome. Later I asked for another one. But in addition to bread, coffee tea chocolate, jam, canned fruit, no meat, no eggs. Only half full. Sorry to have bread again. There are subway stations and bus stops around, which is very convenient.

Great price, great location for everything we wanted to do in London. Staff were very helpful and friendly, we booked a double room and ended up with a triple room instead. The breakfast was very good but the only thing that I would of liked would be the option of a hot breakfast, but this is only my observation and not a criticism. We would certainly book this hotel again.

Very good location, very close to the British Museum, 10 minutes walk. Belongs to a small family hotel, the room is very small, the city center is like this, a street is a similar hotel, the ground floor is three floors above ground, breakfast is now done, traditional English, it is estimated that 10 rooms, more warm It can store luggage, mainly convenient, has a separate bathroom, three children sleep in a small single bed, the bed is not big.

The hotel is an old-fashioned hotel in the UK for eight years. It is very old but very clean. It is very convenient to find a hotel with a microwave oven, and it is very affordable to buy some quick-frozen food in the supermarket and heat it up. The wooden floor will creak, the noise of cars passing by outside the window will be loud, and the voices of neighbors will be audible. But I belong to the one who knows that I don't sleep well, so bring my own earplugs, it's okay. I am thinking that it is not ordinary people who can live in this hotel in the past eight years. It is really high-class from a retro perspective. The location is also very good, I like to walk, so within 30 minutes walk there are Chinatown, Covent Garden Shopping Plaza, British Museum National Gallery, Kings Cross, in short, too much. Very satisfied this time, the price is reasonable.

The photos and website information about The Academy are incredibly deceptive about this boutique hotel. Sounded and looked lovely online and with a middling price of £188.00 per night B&B sounded a good choice for a solo mini trip to London. The reality was incredibly different. The hotel is scruffy and shabby and the loos smell of fish. Sadly, the service was non-existent and not at the level I would expect of a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World. I had a single room (which I chose as it was just me) on the ground floor overlooking the courtyard. It as very basic, but adequate and unlike the other reviews, it was quiet (except from the noisy air-con system). The en-suite was tiny, but the shower was reasonably powerful. As many have already mentioned, the room was stiflingly hot, with a small and inadequate air-con unit which struggled with the heat. I can only imagine what it would have been like when we had the 40C heatwave. I struggled to use the remote control device to work the air con and so, at 12.30am in my dressing gown, I went in search of someone to help me. Daniel came into my room and helped me to get the aircon working and it tried its best to cool the room down. By the next day, and with it on 24/7 the room did finally cool down. As someone else has also mentioned the lights from the aircon system lit up the whole room like a disco! The lights outside the room in the corridor also didn't turn off at night and so the room was bathed in a bright white light from outside and red, green and yellow lights from various fuse things in the room. So, once the air-con was working as best as it could, my attention then turned to the lights! I propped open the en-suite door to block out the light from the corridor, and then managed to pin and stuff towels and a spare pillow case over the disco lights to dim the bright glare. As you can imagine, the first night was a bit of a nightmare with not much sleep. Breakfast the next day was good and the staff in The Refectory were the first to greet me with a welcoming smile and were so helpful and attentive. The breakfast (and staff in the Refectory) have saved this review from being the lowest rating of Terrible. I am incredibly disappointed with my two night stay at The Academy and regret staying there. To finish on a positive note, the location was great and easy to walk to all the places that I wanted to walk to. So great location for Soho, Piccadilly, Covent Garden etc, but poor service and a tired and tatty hotel. So, Bloomsbury is super, just choose an alternative hotel.

The decor and furnishings are battered, and no - probably not three star, more B&B - but the room was clean and comfortable and warm. Staff friendly and efficient. No hassle check-in. Shared bathroom but reasonably big and I appreciated wash-basin in the room. Good breakfast - lots of choice. WiFi worked. Good value for the money I paid. I’ve stayed overnight in many places for work in Bloomsbury. This was good value for money: if want some more standard hotel chain experience this well located in London- then honestly you expect to pay a whole lot more..

Very pleasant stay at the Cavendish Hotel. It is a budget hotel and some of the decor could do with refreshing, but it was comfortable. My room was a cabin room so I knew it was going to be small. It was, but had everything I needed. As it was at the back of the hotel it was very quiet and was also very clean. There was a kettle with plenty of tea/coffee/milk, tv on the wall, fan in the wardrobe. The room wasn't stuffy which is something I hate in hotels. The bed was comfortable and there was a double power socket right by it so I could charge my phone while still using it. The bedside lamp was OK. The only very slightly negative aspect of the room was the radiator was very unsightly and could do with a coat of paint. Special mention to Sammy on the desk who was very helpful and pleasant. I would definitely consider staying at the Cavendish again.

I stayed here for just one night following the 2023 Carabao Cup Final at Wembley Stadium. I arrived into Euston train station and the hotel is an easy 10 minute walk. Also great location for Wembley with Euston Square station being 4 stops from Wembley Park on the Metropolitan Line. Check in is 2pm. I arrived around 12pm and was able to collect my room key and leave my bag. You get a key for the front door (which gets locked at 10:30pm) and the key to your room. When I got back to the hotel after the game just after 10:30pm, my bag had been taken to my room which was very welcomed, especially as I was on the top floor! Just be warned there are no lifts in the property. I booked a single room which was small but had everything I needed for a single night stay. Modern bathroom with shower with toiletries provided. Kettle with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits provided in the room with a TV. The bed was really comfortable and I had a good nights sleep. I didn't have time to try the breakfast in the morning unfortunately but seems decent value at £9.95. There is also free wifi in the hotel. On the whole, a good place to stay and will certainly consider staying here again when I'm back in London (hopefully another Wembley trip with Ten Hag's reds!) Thanks Arosfa!

The Edison is as good as ever and of such quality. Hotels in London are too expensive, so I booked the cheapest room type. On the downside, there is no view from the window. This hotel has a great feeling, the entrance is very beautiful, but there are many bars around at night, it would be scary to walk on foot. The toiletries are still specially customized by le labo. In the morning, the downstairs smells like coffee, and when you come back at night, it smells like le labo the noir, which is very comfortable. The room is fully equipped, the toilet is fully surrounded by rain, and there is mineral water. The light switch is also very delicate.

We had to leave very unexpectedly, but did find the hotel a little run down looking from the outside. We had arrived early and the room was ready, but we could only check in early for an extra charge which we declined, as we were going out anyway so just left our bags in the car. The room was supposed to be an executive room however, it was like any other room we had ever stayed in so don’t know what was executive about it. Tea tray was a bit stingy with 1 packet of biscuits between 2 of us (1 biscuit each). Only 4 milk cartons, but plenty of tea and coffee sachets. The bathroom had nice shower gel and lotion supplied with plenty of towels but, also had blue insulation tape on the radiator and the ceiling above the bath was peeling it all looked a little tired. The room was clean and perfectly comfortable, but definitely lacked that added luxury that I thought we had upgraded to with executive. Maybe that was my own fault not checking exactly what the difference was between normal and executive aside from the price. Sadly, our trip was cut short with an emergency, so we never got to stay overnight or sample the breakfast.

I lived in this hotel for the first time in the UK. The experience was very good at the time, the hotel is in a good location and cost-effective, so I thought I would choose to stay here afterwards. I wanted to book a room in advance for the second time this time, but chose a lot of dates without a room. Later only accessible rooms were available. Think about staying alive for two nights. Because one of them happens to be a New Year's Eve, it goes without saying that the price is not cost-effective. The room I gave was facing the street, and I didn't sleep well after a night of noisy. And this time the service attitude was very average. Retaining luggage is also reluctant. The front desk was also lazy. In short, I won't come next time. In the end, a penny is a penny, and a willingness to spend money on Mayfair's Marriott.

Staff were amazing and attentive when issues arose. Booked the king size room which was large and spacious but that’s where the good parts end. - Air Condition did not work (Told reception when we got in at night and was given a fan) - Mini fridge did not work, so gave the food we bought to amazing receptionist - lamp in the corner was not plugged in, had to move the table from the wall to switch it on. - Bathroom wasn’t wiped down properly so you could see the residue of the last guests. Besides the amazing staff who helped and gave good local recommendations for bars and restaurants the quality of the hotel was lacking. Would not be staying again.

this hotel is a distance away from the city, but i’ve come to love it’s quiet and quaint neighbourhood. as hotel guests, you get free rides on the ferry to & fro Canary Wharf pier, which is still about a 10 minute walk to Canary Wharf metro & various malls. the hotel has narrow hallways to the rooms, floors are a little squeaky & you can hear people talk in the halls from your hotel room. lifts were a little confusing as well as rooms are subdivided into 8 areas (8 lifts). me and my mother didn’t receive a warm cookie upon check-in, but my boyfriend who arrived the next morning did, along with the ferry schedule, so i would say hotel service is inconsistent. we also had several issues with the toilet not being able to flush (me & my boyfriend’s room) & it took half a day for someone to attend to us - from the time we left the hotel to an hour after we got back. my mom had to call thrice on this issue. our toilet was also smaller and there was no drainage on the bathroom floor so it was often wet.

Very nice stay at the Bankside hotel though not without some difficulties. We had asked for a quiet room but were placed right next to the lift lobby and opposite the water dispenser, and with hard floors throughout the lift lobby and entrance area of the rooms this meant a LOT of noise coming in the room at all hours. In fairness, the front desk tried to find an alternative but it was not what we were looking for so we opted to stay where we were and made the best of it. Aside from this everything else about the stay was great, a really lovely modern hotel with very friendly and fun staff, great breakfast (though not cheap) and good location on the South Bank. We would definitely stay here again (though ask not to be in this room location). Special mention to breakfast staff who helped get extra fruit for our toddler and concierge who gave him Christmas gifts from the tree... lovely touches.

On the Trip site the check in time is incorrect (ov voucher it says after 12, but it is after 14) - despite us coming too early, they gave us the room and made coffee for free. The hotel is locked over night and the staff is really friendly. We were in the hotel trought the hottest days in history but they prepared a ventilator - because they don't have AC (normally).

Good location, very close to Imperial College, in the middle of Gloucester Road and South Kensington subway station, it is more convenient to transfer to anywhere. The hotel faces the street and is more or less noisy at night. It is also a residential renovation. Although the facilities are not old (in the case of Britain), the house is a bit crowded. The self-service ibis is quite good value for money and the Crowne Plaza next to it doesn't feel much better than it.

Double check when booking about breakfast being included in your rate and be aware it is a simple boxed 'continental' breakfast; Parking, though advertised is not free - from £10 per night, again check when booking and spaces are limited. Receptionist very helpful, room was ready when we arrived at 11am, which was great, it was very clean with a good supply of coffee and tea plus biscuits all good quality. Slight down side was a vey small shower room and toilet, the shower itself was very weak. The room was cleaned to a high standard every day. The breakfast was good, the waiter very good, nothing too much trouble. Would definitely stay again. Good value for the money paid.

I like this hotel. It is a 10 min walk from Church street where you could have some interesting things to explore. The hotel has been fully modernized and offers very quirky rooms with a London twist. If you want something a little different this could be the place for you. The room was large and very comfortable. The bed was great and so was the bathroom. The price was good too for this level of accommodation in the area .And.. the people are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend using this place.

The location is convenient. 10 mins walk to underground n go to Central London, just left my car at the hotel car park (free parking) till late evening. Room is spacious and clean, bed is comfortable and it’s quiet at night. The bar/restaurant looks classic, though I didn’t eat anything there.

I cannot recommend this pub/hotel highly enough. Location was perfect for Olympia (my reason for travel was attending a 2 day even there), the team were all helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make me feel welcome, including offering to hold my luggage and help me up to my room (as no lift). The room (a 2nd floor twin facing Olympia) was also a very good size, excellently equipped (lovely drinks, comfy chair, spacious desk) and amazingly soundproof from both the road and train right outside, and the pub downstairs. The breakfast was possibly the best English breakfast I've ever had, and the coffee just superb. On top of that the stay was excellent value for the area, and I felt safe and looked after as a lone female traveller. Would look for a reason to come and enjoy this place again, and ideally have time to try to food too next time if the breakfast is anything to go by!

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Room is tiny and windowless. While not an issue in itself (I knew this when booking) the room is barely larger than the bed. I doubt that two adults could stand simultaneously in the floor space of the room. Shower was great (powerful and hot) but the bathroom stunk of drains. It also felt like there was no extraction or clean air in the bathroom. There was air conditioning in the room but it didn’t work. Just seemed to circulate the hot air around not cool it. The room was therefore uncomfortably hot all night and I hardly slept. Pillows as thin as paper and even with both of them (only two in total on the bed) I needed more. Final insult was wall light switch (an over-complicated digital thing) stuck on so had to get someone in the middle of the night to work out how to turn the lights off. In summary - good location, nice shower, far too small, smelly, hot, sleepless. Won’t stay again and advise you not to either. No idea who placed such positive reviews. Feel duped!

Absolutely thrilled with my experience at the Moxy London Heathrow airport hotel! The amenities provided were nothing short of fantastic – from the well-appointed rooms to the thoughtful extras, they truly went above and beyond. The vibrant and lively atmosphere, set by the great music throughout the hotel, added a unique and enjoyable touch to my stay. However, what truly set this experience apart was the exceptional staff. Their friendliness and attentiveness made me feel genuinely welcomed. They were not only helpful but also seemed genuinely passionate about ensuring guests have a memorable stay. Kudos to the team for creating a positive and engaging environment. Overall, my time at Moxy London Heathrow was nothing short of delightful. If you're looking for a hotel that combines great amenities, fantastic music, and a staff that goes the extra mile, this is the place to be! 🌟

I stay with the IHG group every week and one hotel stay rolls into another. However tonight's stay deserves a positive review thanks to young man on reception called Joshua. I arrived at the hotel extremely early, just after 14:00 and understandly my room was not yet ready. Joshua gave me a drinks voucher and set me up in the downstairs bar / restaurant. It's comfy and quiet down there and I was able to get on with some work. Once my room was ready I discovered that I had been upgraded which was a pleasant surprise. Then later in the evening Joshua was kind enough to bring me up a fan along with a key that allowed him to open the windows. So often you're just another number, but not tonight. Joshua was friendly, knowledgeable, professional and polite. I will use this hotel as often as possible and recommend it to others.

While I did not have high expectations for this hotel given its price point and location, I anticipated basic comfort which. The majority of the room's amenities were outdated, yet still within an acceptable standard for me. However, the air conditioning system was disappointingly inadequate; it failed to produce heat and emitted only cold air. Despite the staff promptly providing an electric heater when alerted to this issue, the room remained uncomfortably cold. The most disconcerting part of my stay was the condition of the bedding. The filler in the duvet had clumped together, as evidenced by the attached photo, likely due to improper washing. This left me with little more than two thin sheets in zero-degree weather, with a non-functional heating system. To find some warmth, I resorted to wearing additional clothes and draping my down jacket over the duvet—a far cry from a comfortable night's sleep. I must commend the hotel staff, who were excellent throughout this ordeal. Their service was the only warm aspect of my stay.

Excellent! We were assigned to the 7th floor, the executive room was upgraded to a suite, and an extra small bed was added for free. Compared with other hotels in London (such as Marriott Apartments and Indigo), the service response is very fast, and you can basically get what you want or the service you want within 20 minutes. For a particularly highlight moment, the hotel prepares a little Waldorfian passport for the children who stay in the hotel. After completing the adventure, go to the hotel front desk and put the corresponding sticker on it, and you will get the mysterious grand prize (a small teddy bear). We started the challenge on the last day after leaving the store, and unfortunately there were no more teddy bears in stock. However, the hotel tried its best (front desk, room service, concierge) to help us find a teddy doll. A handsome black man at the front desk called his colleague and said: ”The child is leaving the UK. He passed all the challenges. Can't get it?” He will be very disappointed with the teddy bear, please help the poor child.” Finally, when leaving the hotel, the hotel gave the child a teddy bear and many blessings. The executive lounge is also fantastic. A very good stay experience, I will book again next time!
