I'm a hotel snob. Well when I go to Rochester to see my Grandchildren there is only one place I will stay RI. Because I am Gold elite I can often (when they have them) get upgraded to a 2 bedroom unit. My Grandchildren love this because they can use the pool. But the Residence Inn is much more than that. It's very comfortable bed. The Westins have "the heavenly bed". Well the RI has beds that are just as comfy. Nice sheets and GREAT pillows!!! The units have a full kitchen with everything you need. Including a full refrigerator with an ice maker. Bathrooms are roomy and you have a hair dryer as well as amenities. The amenties are sparce but the price reflects that. The towels, washclothes and hand towels are soft and nice. The room is immaculate. I wondered how they would handle the breakfast buffet or if they would offer a granola bar instead like the Fairfield does. But no, they give you a sheet of paper and you can order anything from scrambled eggs to toast to cereal and put the time on it that you will pick the food up. You drop it off to the front desk and walk up the next mornig and get your breakfast. Well done RI!! The pool and hot tub are great. Done by reservation now because of covid and cleaned between each group going in. But more than anything else the very best part of this hotel is the STAFF. They are friendly, attentive and so very helpful. I will continue to use this facility each and everytime I go to Rochester. Thanks RI, see you in a month!!

If you're looking for a cheap place to stay for a night and don't mind the bare minimum (not to mention the smell of cigarette smoke), this hotel will do the job. I selected a standard, non-smoking King room for two nights. The price was very good, and the reviews weren't too terrible, so I took a chance. When I checked in the lady at the front desk was very nice, as were all of the staff members that I ran into. However, as soon as I walked into my room I knew I was going to have a problem. The smell was the first thing to hit me. It smelled like not just one, but multiple people had smoked in the room, and the cigarette burns on the bed cover proved it. The carpeted floor had multiple stains covering the entire room. The bathroom was honestly the cleanest part of the whole room, so at least I felt safe in there. There was no mini fridge and no microwave. There was a coffee machine in the bathroom, but I didn't try it. I made it through one night but had to check out early due to the conditions. They said that a continental breakfast was included, but when I went downstairs at 9:00 there was nothing.

There was a feeling of cleanliness and it was a good hotel. The bed was nice. There was no bathtub, but it may be due to the grade of the room. As for breakfast, there was not salad, so vegetables were not taken very much, but American hotel may be such a thing. The gym was pretty good, but the weight equipment was a bit difficult to use. We did not use pool, but it was good to look at from the outside. I couldn't find a good restaurant around. Maybe there was, but I didn't ask the concierge, so I entered a nearby steak restaurant called Mortons. I was overcharged but it has nothing to do with the hotel. Overall it ’s pretty good.

Recently, I stayed at the Inn on Broadway in Rochester New York visiting my client. I stay at this boutique hotel for a number of reasons. I do not stay here due to perfection, rather I stay here because of the comfort and the way they treat their customers. I was traveling to Ithaca New York to see my daughter at college and stayed at another hotel where for the third time I had to check in late because of this hotels check-in system which was not done very well. When I asked why I was always checking in late not because I was angry I began to receive the transfer of ownership… You got it the typical "it's not my fault" response. It was no big deal but as I traveled to Rochester New York this stay brought this into greater perspective. When I arrived at the Inn on Broadway they immediately told me check-in was at 4 PM but they would do everything they could to check me in earlier. The woman in the small office where customers check-in immediately called the cleaning crew and said "Mr. Hagen is here is there any way we can tackle his room right away". This immediately jumped out at me because it showed a sense of urgency and commitment to the customer experience. I was allowed to check in two hours earlier and after a long drive you cannot imagine how great that felt. As I walked to my room a young cleaning lady looked at me and asked if I was staying in room 303 and I said no I was in 301. She smiled and I mean really smiled, and said "oh I just cleaned it it's an awesome room and 301 the room you're staying is fantastic. Have a great day and please let us know if there's anything I can do to assist you. I walked into the room and began to think about the interaction and thought wait a minute your a cleaning person you're supposed to be angry and have a spiteful attitude and not enjoy your job. As I sat getting comfortable in my room I began to draft a letter to the cleaning crew. I shared with the manager who gave it to the cleaning crew the letter along with the gift I shared why their mentality and why the work they do is so vitally important especially to those who travel in or out of their comfort of their own homes. The next morning I brought down a pair of pants to have them dry cleaned. They have a same-day service. When I got back after day at my client site the pants were still not done as the company forgot to pick them up. Instead of passing blame the hotel personnel at the Inn on Broadway immediately said they will call and make sure it's picked up the next morning. Here's the funny thing again that night I came back in the pants were still in the bag wrinkled and not cleaned. I was not angry yet I did feel inconvenienced but something happened that immediately change the way I felt. The young man behind the counter did not pass blame and offered something I've never had anybody do before-he offered to take the pants home and wash them himself as well as iron them. He did not pass blame and all he was doing was trying to

I have lived in the summer vacation two years ago and it is as good as ever. The hotel is very close to the airport, just 15 minutes by car. Breakfast is relatively simple, typical American breakfast but can also meet basic needs. The house is large and clean, and the beds are very comfortable. In the evening, you can cook on the terrace outside the hotel. It is very comfortable to run and walk along the river in the morning. Walk about 10 minutes across the bridge to the University of Rochester. Most of them are families who send their children to summer or visiting schools.

Stayed this weekend in 2/3 rooftop suites. Hosted a dinner party in one of the private dining rooms. Neither were cheap, and for the price I expected a level of service. The sales staff were awesome, jordan and sage! Our room was not clean, there were lemon seeds on the counters and the ceiling fans were awful, we didn’t see before turning them on and dust went flying all over the the bed. We looked at the others and they were the same, the couch arm rests were filthy also. We were told the rooftop bar and fire pit would be open, both of which I confirmed the Thursday before our saturday arrival, and both were closed. We were told there were staff issues?? Well, that’s not our fault? We paid a lot for our rooms for the experience. I get COVID but that wasn’t the reason. At dinner, our waiter dumped a lemon drop martini down the back of my guest. No compensation was offered. Not even a drink on the house? That is ridiculous. She was sticky and wet for the entire meal. Then I had two guests order a steak which apparently they sold out of. So they were stuck paying >$20 for an alternative. Something should have been said. But this couple was on a budget and ended up paying twice the price. Idk- communication could have been better. Overall, was disappointing! Rooms should be cleaner, all rooms, but the rooftop suites you would expect attention to detail. This is typically a great hotel but the attention to detail seemed gone, and I don’t feel I got my money’s worth at all

Enjoyed my first visit to this Courtyard. It was a bit off the beaten path, but that kind of property always appeals to me. Clean, comfortable, and modern, this location featured a staff that was genuinely friendly and helpful. Several employees went out of their way to hold elevators and say hello. I was impressed! The bistro has an understandably limited menu, but my food was fresh and tasty. Special kudos to Donna, a thoroughly delightful lady, cheerfully working her tail off as cook, server, bartender, and chief dishwasher. My guest room was great for both comfort and workspace. I had a good deal of computer work to do and appreciated the desk space and power outlets. The bathroom was small and it's necessary to dance with the door. It worked out for one person, but could be a challenge for two. This property would not be a good location if you were without wheels. Very few places to go without a car or rideshare. Three stars for being entitely satisfactory, plus one for great staff attitude. If certainly stay again!

Residence Inn Rochester Henrietta is located on Jefferson Road with quick access to Interstate 390. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Lobby and lounge are clean and well-kept. Guest rooms are comfortable and relatively clean. Guest bathroom was relatively clean save for a few errant hairs from previous guests on the floor at the time of my stay. Kitchen was clean and featured a full size refrigerator and freezer, range with four burners and oven, and spacious microwave. Corridor carpets had a bit of dirt and errant particles at the time of my stay. Fitness center is clean, spacious, and equipment is modern. Interior hotel pool appeared clean, but I did not utilize during my stay. Ample, free parking available. Free breakfast buffet available. Breakfast buffet was good quality fare with limited selection. Residence Inn evening mixer fare also was of good quality but with limited selection. Many fast-food, sports bars, and chain restaurants are in close proximity of hotel but not within safe walking distance as Jefferson Road is a busy four lane thoroughfare. Traffic noise is minimal on highest floor of the hotel away from elevators. Overall very good experience. I would consider returning to this hotel when conducting business in Rochester, New York in the future.

I stayed in room 205 this past weekend, and I have to say it was quite nice. Everything worked, and the room was very clean. I loved the little touches, like old cameras on display in the book cases. The concierge was very helpful and very responsive. I requested a microwave, and had it in no time (and it was a vintage style like everything else which was a great touch). Overall the building seems well maintained, although there was a party going on despite their policy (including beer bottles laying in the parking lot, and I could smell the pot all the way down the hallway. A quick text to the concierge and they jumped on it right away. About room 205: This is a great room for a couple (or solo), although I would expect to cook meals here unless you bring your own pots, etc. It just wasn't that well stocked, not that I expected it to be. The room is missing a chest of drawers, and while you can use the storage area behind the chalk boards, it's not convenient, nor is there much shelving in there. This was not a big deal at all, just something I observed. My only other complaint about the room was the lighting. There are no counter lights in the kitchen area, and all you have are these big industrial overhead lights. They're cool, but the lighting is spotty and harsh. This is easily fixed however... counter lights, and maybe a floor lamp and the room would be perfect. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, and will definitely be coming back again!

Wall Street/Financial District
Honestly, booking my own accommodations for a solo trip is something I have not done in a while. I did get overwhelmed at all the places that were available to stay in New York City. I booked Holiday In-Financial District at the last moment before I left for the CNY break. It was the only hotel that allowed full prepayment in front of all the taxes and everything. A big plus. The only thing checking in, I knew of the $100USD incidental fee, I thought I could pay it cash but I needed to use a credit card, but they allowed me to use a friend's credit card. The room and its amenities was great plus the cleanliness of the hotel was definitely pluses. There are a number of ice machines (free) with ice buckets in the room with drink vending machines on alternating floors. The hotel is surrounded by various great food places like Sauce & Barrel, the Clinton, Dunkin Donuts and three cafes alongside. The breakfast was okay in the first acclimatising periods but I stopped because it was the same breakfast over and over again, the seating area very small and as a solo traveller I felt like I was taking up space when you see an entourage of bigger groups come into the dining room area and you are sitting at one table which they could use. Unfortunately, I couldn't use my vouchers to have breakfast in my room because it was only valid in the dining area. A bit unfair to solo travellers. I would definitely book this hotel again.

New York City Center
Sixteenth of the US itinerary: United Nations Millennium Hilton in the memory of the hotel. I have already shared the first stop in New York at Barclays Intercontinental Hotel, the second hotel in New York: the United Nations Millennium Hilton. Looking at the location and the name of the hotel, it is known that Hilton is exclusively built for the United Nations Headquarters. The hotel is located 200 meters diagonally across the United Nations Headquarters. I chose this because I arranged an internal tour of the UN headquarters the day after, and the distance was very convenient. Probably because of its UN nature, there is a special "security guard" at the door. The staff wearing a very formal security suit is holding a big black dog. Everyone who pulls the box is sniffed, which not only does not make me feel no. Convenience, but increased security. After settled down, I went to the United Nations Headquarters to step on a point. On the side of the hotel, I also encountered a model of a street shot, a special scenery. There are two things in this hotel that make me amazing: the small surprise is that the coffee machine, capsule coffee and cup in the room are all illy; the big stunning is the invincible window, the left side of the window is the United Nations Headquarters building, and the front is the Chuanliu car. The sea, on the right is the Empire State Building. When I arrived at the night window, I was reminded of Shangri-La, the shard building that I lived in London a few years ago. When I stayed in the evening, we were stunned by the invincible night scene outside the window. Even the rice was forgotten to eat. To this end, I specially took a photo of the window to the little girlfriends that night to remind her of our common memories. The hotel is usually a icing on the road, and a hotel with a good stay experience will become a highlight in the memory, and in a later scene, there will be a beautiful encounter. This hotel is recommended for twelve points.

Convenient location, right next to Times Square, the hotel lobby is on the eighth floor, my room is on the upper floor, although in the downtown area, the noise outside is completely audible. The service is not as good as the other hotel in Times Square that I stayed in before. There are no slippers, bathrobes, tea robes and tea bags in the room. I called twice before sending in slippers, an electric kettle and a disposable toothbrush. There is no USB interface for charging the room. I was told not to borrow the socket from the front desk. I can only put the power bank at the front desk of the hotel to charge. The Hudson River can be seen through the window of the hotel, but it is far away, the weather is not so good, and it is not clear.

The location is good, just at the intersection of 40th Street and 9th Avenue. The room is really small, compared to many hotels in Japan. Anyway, after opening two 28-inch large boxes, the other side of the bed is basically full. The bath amenities are standard at this price. Beds and The pillows were also comfortable. The elevator was really difficult to say, and it was more difficult to wait. Fortunately, the floor where I lived was not high. Except for the elevator on the first day and the day of checkout, I usually climbed the building. There is no refrigerator or microwave in the room. This is a subtraction in many hotels in Manhattan. The front desk service is good, the cookies are really delicious, the deposit is a problem, anyway, I always check out after checking out, and when I check in, it may not be the peak season (I do n’t know if the marathon season is not the peak season). The floor where I live is actually a smoking floor and soundproof. Tips for the bedside are provided as usual, and the sanitary cleaning is very good every day, very clean, and the coffee, tea bags, and toiletries are changed in a timely manner. Turn right at the hotel lobby and turn right at 8th Avenue. There is a 7-11 at the intersection of 39th Street and 8th Avenue. Overall, it's okay, anyway, such a place like Manhattan is so rich. The surrounding subway station is very convenient on 8th Avenue, and the Greyhound bus station is not far away. New York's new landmark, Big Pinecone, is also within walking distance. The security of the surroundings personally feels OK, anyway, I don't feel unsafe shaking at 12 in the middle of the night (personal feeling)

There are not many traditional Chinese hotels in the empire. They are not many Chinese, hidden in the downtown, but they are prosperous when entering, quiet, comfortable bedding, rich breakfast, especially convenient transportation. Just around the corner, Broadway Theatre is waiting around, Times Square is brightly lit, and the World Fashion Center is in full swing. Because it suits my preference to stay for three consecutive days, it is highly recommended that people of the same taste stay.

Wall Street/Financial District
The hotel is generally good, it should have been renovated, without any sense of old age, and the rooms are relatively large, especially considering that it is in New York. It is very close to the cruise ship terminal, Wall Street, the stock exchange, 9/11 ruins and other attractions, and also very close to the subway station, with convenient transportation. There is no swimming pool on the facilities. Wi-Fi is not charged through the Marriott system. I hope that Ctrip can strive to provide free Internet access through Ctrip.

Midtown West
The most story-telling hotel in New York is as old as the St. Regis in New York. Marilyn Monroe, the great Gatsby, the Beatles' visit to New York, the smell of women, Home Alone, Trump, are all related to it. The bathroom of the hotel is spacious and the faucet is gilded. The disadvantage is that many of the hotel’s rooms with stunning views facing Central Park have been sold to celebrities as private apartments. For example, a room on the 18th floor was sold to Tommy Hilfiger, which was worth 50 million US dollars at the time and was a famous mansion.

Times Square
The location of the hotel is particularly good. The Empire State Building, Fifth Avenue, Central Station, and the public library can be reached on foot. There are also several subway exits nearby and overall the traffic is very convenient. The facilities in the hotel are quite complete. Shampoo, conditioner and soap are all available. Disposable toothbrushes must be picked up at the front desk. The only drawback is that there is no hot water bottle and no way to drink hot water. Comes with a night view outside the hotel.
