I have booked via 3 nights in Venice for my parents as 70th birthday and 52 wedding anniversary of their , and I am happy had the trust in the travel agency who was the one who recommended the Hotel Castello as suitable for what I was looking for. Location close to St. MARCO , friendly hotel staff, always willing to help my parents, to accommodate them at best, amazing choice of Breakfast, cleanliness of room. My parents do not have much travel experience but as long as their holiday was perfect, and they felt treated as VIP, it was all to worth. My thanks to staff at VOLA.RO Travel Agency Mrs Ruxandra Zvolenski, to all Staff at Hotel Castello Reception for being so kind to print returning etickets for my parents, advised them regarding the General Strike scheduled for the day of their return and options they have to travel smoothly back to the airport. thanks to the wonderful catering lady who prepared some snacks for my parents to take away as they had to leave very early morning and so missed the breakfast... All staff at hotel Castello went beyond their duty. Excellent Customer Service!!! Thank You. Also, would like to mention Mr Alex reps VOLA.RO who assisted with an opinion over the situation regarding Friday 25th General Strike in Italy... For my parents, Venice Experience it is a dream that came true. Thank you all.

We stayed at this small hotel of 5 rooms first week of June, for 4 nights. We were sent info what ferries to take and detailed map to locate Hotel in an alley. We found it immediately, it is 3 minutes away from ferry stop. Location is excellent, very central. Reception is there for the best part of the morning only, but we were given a code to input lock and also a key to the front door. Reception was also helpful and friendly in helping us to co ordinate our very early departure and we were very grateful and reassured. There is no lift, but one flight of stairs to access all rooms. The room was exactly as advertised and large by Italian standards and had two windows which had nice natural light through. It was immaculately clean. Kettle, cups and tea/coffee/milk was provided daily. Also small fridge was quite handy. Extra blankets and pillows were in wardrobe. Sufficient hangers. AC worked perfectly. Wifi was ok . Tv was ok too. Sufficient light from lamps around the room. Bathroom had daily provided small toiletries and small hairdryer. Plenty hot water, and nice large fluffy towels provided as requested daily. Room was cleaned every day and i really cannot fault anything. It was quiet and serene both inside hotel and outside except Saturday night, early hours, when there seemed to be more young revelers in the street below. Slight concern was there were deep cracks in the floor tiles in bedroom, which were covered by thick rugs but once aware was not a problem whatsoever.

Excellent location to walk to Piazza San Marco and to meet up with scheduled tours off the grand canal. We had a room with a balcony which was perfect to relax on and just take in the city. The rooms were clean and spacious, not overly large by any means. The staff does hold your keys for you when you leave the premises. Breakfast was nice, they had a decent spread and brought in (or made) fresh croissants each day. We stayed here prior to departing on a cruise and it was easy enough to get to the cruise terminal. You can take the public transportation boat, which is only a short walk to catch, or hire a private taxi, which is in the same location.

the hotel location is great, near the doge's palace and st mark square. might be a bit noisy in the afternoon with bar and restaurant near it (got a room facing the street). The room itself was nice, modern and minimalist, you feel like in a hotel in japan, the breakfast was nice as well, selection was not huge, but satisfying...although it's a bit weird that on the first day, I think it's only 4 person had breakfast, and the scrambled eggs was finished, I wanted to take some for my wife since she only got a tiny bit of scrambled egg, but the staff said that he couldn't provide more scrambled eggs...but it was alright, not an off putting experience. the main problem is...THE BATHROOM! it was clean, but the smell coming from the drainage in the shower was crazy! on the first day it was still okay although it still smells (like sewage smell), but on the 2nd day, it went crazy! we have to close the bathroom or else the smell cover the room (since it's a small room) and I can't even stand to take a long shower since i can't stand the nauseating smell! i'm not sure if it's just our room, otherwise I will rate this property as very good / excellent. if you didn't get this issue, I think this is a very good hotel to stay at when you're in venice.

What a quaint little family hotel in such a convenient spot. We took the water bus straight from the airport over to Venice, landing at S. Zaccaria and taking a very short walk thru a lane to the Hotel. The manager/ part owner so helpful and friendly, though only a few days earlier his grandmother/ the founder of the hotel had passed away. We felt much apart of the family when watching soccer with the brothers in the comfy bar area. breakfast was included and quite delicious. The building was once a Nunnery and has a small garden at the back and roof top terrace.Very clean and tidy room though small. Extremely close to everything, restaurants and San Marco Square. Venice is a very easy place to get around as long as you cope with the cobblestone paths. Bathroom clean and sufficient with personal supplies. No tea or coffee facilities but the small bar area is open 24/7. Also has a lift. Would definitely return, and hopefully very soon!

The airport can take the bus to the hotel! The hotel is convenient and fast, and there is a bus stop at the door to go directly to the main island! It is easier to compare than to live in the main island! Breakfast is not bad! There is a parking lot!

After a 20-minute walk in the labyrinth of streets and alleys, I found Palazzo Canova right by Canal Grande, a few steps from Rialto Bridge. I received a friendly and warm welcome from the receptionists who all spoke good English. I was quickly checked into my deluxe room, which had a courtyard view. The room was large and would easily fulfill five star critera although the hotel only has four stars. The room was beautifully renovated and decorated, impeccably clean and in perfect condition, complete with pristine parquet flooring. The room came with a very comfortable bed, a sofa and coffee table, a desk and all the amenities that you would need: coffee maker, safe, A/C, umbrella, minibar, two complimentary 0.5 L water bottles that were replenished daily. Wi-fi was free, fast and reliable. The bathroom came with a deep bathtub and a wall-mounted as well as a handheld shower. While the water pressure in the shower was okay, the tub took a long time fill up. The bathroom was also well-equipped; there was a bathrobe and slippers as well as high quality bath products from Rituals plus all the amenities one might need, like dental kits, shaving kits, sewing kits etc. Christmas 2020 came with more than a few restrictions in Italy, which were naturally reflected in my hotel stay, as well. However, the rooftop terrace bar (beautiful views!) was open on a few nights, and they served some food as well although it was mostly snacks and felt a bit mediocre. On the other hand, with restaurants in the city forced to close at 6 pm, it was great to be able to enjoy a hot dinner at the hotel in the evening. There was also limited room service available until 11 pm, with an extra charge of 10 euros, consisting mostly of snacks and sandwiches, together with a few hot items. The location is very central: Rialto Bridge and Rialto Market are a minute or two away, and you can walk to San Marco. The walk to Piazzale Roma or the train station is about 20–30 minutes (depending on how many times you get lost on the way!), or you can take a vaporetto, which stops close to the hotel. The hotel was a bargain at less than 100 EUR a night for a deluxe room, which at normal times would cost 350 EUR during high season. A few rooms have views of the Canal Grande, and you will of course pay a premium for those. I had a wonderful Christmas in Venice and look forward to returning to Palazzo Canova again.

At least lived in Marseille, the letter-to-price ratio is high, the breakfast is not many, but the quality is good! It is very convenient to go to Venice. It is a 10-minute walk to the train station, 10 minutes by train, and 2 stops away. The breakfast was great, recommended! But why do you have to go to the front desk to pay the voucher and return to the breakfast room for dinner? Paying a certain incidental deposit (pre-authorization) at the front desk can solve it, which is inconvenient for guests. Returning to the room from the breakfast room to get money, and then going to the front desk to buy breakfast vouchers, it is not convenient to return to the breakfast room. However, next time the location is affordable, the same location will still choose staycity
