5.31km from downtownGeneral facilities, there are not many things around, others are not bad
6.36km from downtownMy wife and I flew into Indy from London Thursday Night/ Early Friday morning. We had stayed at the hotel the night before our flight out and left our car in their parking lot for the week and paid a good parking rate. Our plan was to fly back and drive home that night (we lived 2 hours north of Indy). When we arrived, our battery was low and the car would not start, so I talked my wife in staying the night and getting a jump in the morning. I have been a Hilton Honors member for 15 plus years so I booked the room using points. When we walked in to check in, we were denied the room (even though I had a confirmed reservation) because it was booked after midnight so the reservation was entered in as arriving on Friday and leaving Sat. In the hotel world, that is not the case if you book right after midnight because you would technically be checking out the same morning you booked it. I was told that there was nothing he could do (the front desk person) and he would refund my points and I could reserve a room by paying with a credit card. I guess it was easier to process the stay because he could minipulate the system but could not do that with a points stay. I have been through this a few times but this was the first time in 15 years I was being told that I could not use points and I could only stay if I paid for the room. The front desk person then told me that none of the hotels in the area would book a points stay after midnight. Soooooooooo i told him he was full of BS and walked outside and called Hilton Honors. HH stated that this statement was not true but did state they understand his issue with the Hilton software. They also stated that all he had to do is call the HH desk and the reservation could be cancelled and re-entered in for a Thur-Friday reservation. The gentleman behind the front desk was not willing to admit that he was incorrect and kept stating to talk to his General Manager. So we told the Hilton Honors desk to book us across the street at the Hampton Inn for the night. We jumped on the shuttle and arrived at the Hampton Inn and was greeted and checked in with no issue. This was 10 min's after the front desk gentleman at the Home 2 Suites stated that none of the other hotels would take my reservation with points. Clearly that was not correct. I am not the person that writes complaints as I understand everyone can have a bad day or possibly not know the answer because they were trained incorrectly, etc.. I just felt that this was beyond rediculous because I had a confirmed reservation and they had rooms available and it was very clear the desk person was not willing to even make an attempt to accomidate us even though it was a software issue on their side. Will never stay here again ever.. On the brighter side, the Hampton Inn did a great job!!
6.39km from downtownI am reading the other reviews and I think these people just expected too much. The rustic ambience and faint smell of cheap hooker perfume was intoxicating. The feral cat outside the door kept the other critters away and kept me company when I couldn’t get to sleep. The whirring, clacking noise from the AC Unit was sufficient to drowned out the gun shots and ambulance noise from the neighborhood nearby. I was a little disappointed that the shampoo was not herbal and the concierge recommended a steak house that wasn’t very good. But overall I feel like I spent money for a place to sleep.
6.4km from downtownThe hotel is spacious and bright, the lobby is relatively large, and the layout of the facilities is relatively good. The room is clean and there is no smell. Because the reservation has already been paid in Ctrip, but the room rate is still checked when checking in, and it is timely and Ctrip after the discovery. The contact was solved, the room was quiet, and the breakfast was booked, but unlike other places, it was not a self-service American breakfast, but a kind of order.
6.74km from downtownService attitude is very good, traffic can be not far from the airport and the city, but no car is not convenient, there is no place to eat nearby or supermarkets have no public transportation, the room is still big, there is a sofa, It is inconvenient to wash clothes, all washing machines are bad, breakfast is OK, overall good, worth staying
6.95km from downtownservice were great very polite and courteous. rooms were very nice and clean would definitely stay again.
7.2km from downtownThe TownePlace Suites by Marriott Indianapolis Airport is one of the newest hotels in Indianapolis, having opened in 2021. Boasting a convenient location, the hotel is just 9km from Indianapolis International Airport and 23km from Indianapolis Amtrak Station. Seeing Indianapolis's sights from this hotel is easy with Sky Zone Trampoline Park, Hilltop Farm Equestrian Center and Perry Crossing all close by. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. For guests' convenience, airport pickup can be arranged. This Indianapolis hotel offers parking on site.
7.32km from downtownThe United States came back to a hotel that was often booked, and there was an airport shuttle bus. It was convenient to check in, because it was a pity that the breakfast was too early for the flight. Overall good
7.52km from downtownI stopped at this Hampton on my drive home from Scranton to Kansas City. The king room was clean and typical of a Hampton Inn. By accident and unbeknownst to me, I left my kindle fire in the room. The day after I left I received an email from Shannon the property manager informing me that I left my kindle in the room. This is how I discovered I left it there! Shannon promptly mailed it back to me. If I am in Indy again I will for sure stay at this Hampton Inn.
8.17km from downtownThe location of this hotel is very close to the airport, but after the new building is built, it takes a large circle to reach the airport, which takes more than 15 minutes. So catch the plane to remember.
8.22km from downtownThe room would have downgraded this a bit as the drain in the shower didn't work and the room is a basic hotel room....but it was clean and comfortable. Biggest positive here was the cost and the staff. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Shuttle to airport is available pretty much whenever someone needs it (we left at 5:15 a.m.). No cost, but obviously should tip the driver. I'd stay there again. Quite a good deal for the low cost. Waffle House adjacent for late night hunger pangs.
8.33km from downtownMy husband and I recently stayed at this location and was very happy with our decision. Friendly staff and even better dog friendly! They really enjoyed giving my dog treats every time we came through the door. He was in heaven. It’s so hard to find hotels to accommodate large dogs over 40 lbs. of course there are strict rules to protect the other guests which is fine by me. Cheap hotel but don’t let the price tag scare you. It’s a nice hotel with complimentary breakfast! Thanks to the staff for a pleasant stay!
Hotels Near Southwestway Park In Indianapolis Review
Breakfast is not good, the Marriott hotel next door is more suitable for breakfast.
I wasn't going to review at all, but after being overcharged on our credit card for the room, I felt it necessary. We were booked here through a tournament booking agent & sent a confirmation from the hotel of 2 nights w/the total rate to be charged. When we showed up the desk agent had ear buds in and seemed put out by our arrival. It took multiple times to get our key to work every time we tried to come in. The room was very small, hardly any room to move around the beds, it had a microwave that was completely inoperable and the toilet that ran every 5 minutes. The television had all but a few channels "scrambled or unavailable", we couldn't even get local network channels. The pool was completely drained, closed for "maintenance" apparently for several months prior according to previous reviews. After the 1st night, we received a call after leaving for a game asking if we were checking out because we only had a reservation for 1 night and that they were booked for the 2nd night w/no additional rooms. We had to go back to the hotel and show our confirmation email. They said they would "work something out". Apparently reservation issues are common after reading other reviews. The next morning we made it a point to stop at the desk to turn in the keys to our room, let them know about the microwave. We never even mentioned the toilet issue. The same staff we dealt with the day before was working at the time and we left 15 minutes prior to standard check out time. We were not given any paper receipt or sent an email receipt after leaving. Later that day I notice on my credit card 3 separate pending charges on my account, two for the correct nightly rate and an additional charge for $42.12. I thought perhaps they decided to discount the 2nd night due to our issues and that the other charge would come off but a couple of days later when the pending charges posted our 2nd night charges we're combined w/the $42.12 for a posted overcharge. There would have been no reason for the overcharge, there was no damage to the room and we left before the check out time. The booking agency attempted to contact Pinkesh at the hotel and after 10 days received no response. We are disputing the overcharge with our credit card company, but this was by far the worst hotel experience we have had in 7 years of traveling for competitive sports. You would think with having new management that the customer service would be exceptional but this is far from the case.
Enjoyed my stay here for two nights. Great breakfast selection. The staff was very kind and very helpful. The suite I booked was very clean and the beds were very comfortable! Will definitely be coming back.
During our four night stay there are many things that i could complain about, whether it be the fact that they advertise for an outdoor pool that is still closed in late june, or not being able to control the families staying there or the employees giving attitude to paying customers and flat out not doing their job. On our first night i told the front desk that with a three year old it would be hard to put him to bed with the sports court outside but they assured me that quiet hours were at 9. That night there were kids out there until 10:30. Our next night there were kids out there until 11:00 when we finally had to call the front desk and ask them to take the basketball away from them. Our third night was okay, we asked for a couple more towels to which we got extreme attitude with their employees saying “well we don’t have many towels left” finally after a couple minutes of lobbying they have us some towels. And finally on our final night there were kids out on the basketball court screaming and shouting until 10:45 when I called the front desk asking them to please take the basketballs away to which they said, “no, because they won’t listen to me” then they hung up. So I called again and they said “my coworker and I won’t go shut down the basketball court.” After calling and arguing with them over the phone for almost half an hour I finally decided to go out there and ask them to leave and what do you know they left without a complaint and didn’t come back. Overall this place is very overpriced for the cleanliness of the room that was not cleaned once while we were here and for the paper thin walls in between the rooms as we could hear everything around us. So before you book here close out of the tab on your computer and go somewhere else
an impulse trip to Indy - no room booked so I grabbed the cheapest room that afternoon at Quality Inn/Suites. We drove up to that place and left - prking lot was awful, only 2 cars, practically on the road, and exterior looked run down. I didn't feel safe. So after our event, we drove to thie Hampton Inn, and walked in hoping for a room. Clerk got us the best rate, was nice at 10 pm with guests in line. Place was clean, staff was nice and helpful, including the breakfast servers. Hands down the best free breakfast we have encountered at a Hampton or other chain. What relief & peace of mind to have a clean, quiet, safe place to sleep with your kids. I will not look elsewhere ever again. Stop when i see a nice Hampton Inn!
Long overdue review.Tried to work through upsetting situation after a decent stay. Booked 2 rooms for July weekend stay with family. Soured stay after Le Meridien valet driver pulled car out of garage and $2000 damage caused by motorized scooter who hit our car. Beware hotel will NOT assume responsibility for their valet and damage to your car even though their valet/hotel employee handling your car. Not worth the headache for this supposedly “convenient service”. Regarding stay 1 of 2 rooms decent, other room small & uncomfortable with rowdy hotel guests across the way. Breakfast in cafe worth it, server was excellent even though working solo. Wanted to support this hotel yet lack of responsibility for their valet accident beyond upsetting.
The location is very good and many attractions are within walking distance. The hotel staff is very good at serving. The privacy of the hotel is very good. The pool is nice. The disadvantage is that the parking lot is expensive. Hotel staff suggested that we parked in the opposite shopping garage, which cost less than half of the hotel. There is also a feeling that the paper towels of the five-star hotel are very poor. There was no breakfast at the hotel because there were too many good restaurants to choose from.
Sometimes the small details make all the difference. The lighting in the room is like being in a hospital cafeteria. It’s harsh fluorescent style that is terrible on the eyes when you are trying to relax. This is a lack of attention to a seeming small item that made the room very uncomfortable. The beds are very small, likely twin beds- I’ve never been to a Comfort Inn in a double bed room that had such small beds. The refrigerator doesn’t stay cold, another detail. Bathroom is very very small. A huge problem- considering this is a family trip with small kids- the pool is GONE. It’s been removed for eventual replacement. No where on their website does it say that there isn’t a pool. They advertise it as an amenity but don’t have it when you arrive. That’s no ok, at all. I think we On a positive side, the TV is nice.
Nice place. Didn’t eat there. Found a bottle cap under bed but otherwise clean. No photo taken. Would come back.
Okay, so once again here we are looking for an expensive hotels in the area and thought we would try this one. Well, this was an unpleasant experience and that's saying the best thing I could possibly say. Filthy. Sticky. Now during this awful time I am bringing in disinfectant to wipe all surfaces down anyway. But antibacterial wipes black in my hands from wiping on the countertops. Smears of unidentifiable things everywhere. But the biggest concern after hanging for a while in the hotel and walking back and forth is the fact that there are two very sharp things sticking out of the bottom of the box spring on one of the mattresses and I think it was building five. whatever building it was I asked to see what else was available and I saw four other rooms in the same building and the first room they showed me was actually the better of the rooms. As it turns out the air conditioner barely worked. And the sharp things sticking out of the bottom of the box spring left me with two souvenirs. The photos are of BOTH my ankles. They caught it from both directions. This is during Covid. And the place was this filthy. The desk staff was NOT masked in any way. It appears this hotel had been tinted into a "resident" hotel. List of hot plate cooking and grilling outside, unattended children running around on the grounds. It's on a retention pond so all the sidewalks are covered in goose poop. It was like something out of some strange dystopian novel. Under no circumstances choose to stay here.
The jw is suppose to be better than the courtyard which is right next to it but i prefer the courtyard mariott other than the Jw way better but nothing went wrong during our trip thanks for the stay!!
Stayed while visiting the area. Staff was nice. Elevators are hard to locate and husband ended up in the wrong wing and could not find our room as it appears the wings are not attached. Liked the card tap entry on the doors instead of the slide locks. Was told pool was not open when I called the night before, but guess it was. Paid for 2 queen beds room and even though computer claims beds are queens they were doubles (and too firm) so daughter kicked me all night long. Pillows are lumpy as usual in hotels. Only cups in the room were 2 paper coffee cups. Surprised that bath amenities are sharable hooked to shower wall. Went to down for breakfast, which I was informed was some kind of grab and go box, only to find they ran out, so was given 2 tiny cups of yogurt. The coffee carafe in the lobby had 6 people huddled around it. So since it seems to be sharable I just do not understand why real breakfast cannot be served. Make people use hand sanitizer before entering the breakfast area so they can prep food as normal then take it back to their rooms if we are not to sit closely together. This was my first and last hotel stay during the pandemic .
I was planning to visit Indianapolis in America, But I was not sure what type of hotel I wanted until I saw this hotel called Extended Stay America it had a kitchen with fridge, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, oven ,cutlery, plates and cups and a nice size dinner table to eat from, also a nice size bedroom and bathroom. This hotel does not have a restaurant facilities but they do have coffee and tea and muffins and cereal Bars to grab if you're hungry in the morning. It didn't bother me that this hotel didn't have a restaurant. It's close to some shop and bar/ restaurants and the price was good for what I got in the room and how long I was there for,and the Hotel look ok. I email the hotel to inform them that my flight would be arriving late.On my arrival there was a lovely young man that checked me in and help me with my suitcases to my room. The first night sleep I had was so good as the bed is very comfortable. I did not need to ask for extra towels as there was plenty of towels there for me and they had free soap shower get that I thought was good. Throughout my stay the staff was amazing and nothing was too much trouble for them to help me with I can honestly say I will be recommending this hotel to family and friends. The manager at this hotel she was outstanding I can honestly say she deserves a pay rise and I will be coming back to this hotel because of the manager and her team.
Very good, it is far from the city
was great could even cook a sunday dinner with the stove and everything in it
I have tried this place twice, thinking the first time had to be a fluke. Nope. Let's back up to April 2017 -- girl stumbling around the halls, very obviously intoxicated or drugged or both. She was quite a show and we wondered at first if we should be concerned and watching for trafficking. She was quite obviously a paid for gal. At some point during our stay she had a little too much fun and we heard later she had OD'ed and died. Probably explains some of those stains on the beds. Ok, so that stay was less than stellar but tried again during another visit to Indy. I've been a loyal RR guest for ages, so I thought time would heal wounds. Still the same old stains, plus the bugs everyone has photographed, and a whole new set of druggie escorts. Maybe if you'll stay you'll get lucky, too, and see one go out under a white sheet -- something I never thought I'd explain to a 4 year old witness.
Never a bad experience at this hotel. Usually arrive late after work, and the room is always ready. They have a good hot breakfast with a wide variety of items. .Staff are very friendly, curious and helpful. Staff recommended me to enrolled in their rewards program, and I;m glad I did!
Outstanding customer service by all of the staff. From the manager on there was always a smile and a friendly hello. The breakfast was well maintained and was not your typical "Carb Buffet" ...they have some good hot items to choose from. I think the only thing I would like changed is earlier hours for the pool to open. Other then that all was great!
We've stayed at this hotel several times before, but this time we were pleased that they have drastically improved their breakfast. There was a good variety of choices, and everything was well stocked. The rooms were clean, but the beds aren't overly comfortable. We thought it odd that one bed had 3 pillows, and the other had 4. We mentioned this when we checked out, and it turns out that we were indeed missing one pillow. Not sure if it was the maids, or the previous guests, but the girl at the front desk made a note of it. The windows are still a problem, with broken locks, gaps, and noise. The WiFi is intermittent, probably depending your room. There is a Subway attached to the hotel, which is convenient. This hotel is fine for an overnight stay.
The stay i had at the Omni Severin Hotel was pretty good. I was met with fantastic staff, from house keeping to managerial staff. It is very convenient for a place with a kinda out of the way main entrance as the building was connected to the city mall. if i couldn't find something for my picky self in the hotel which was not much i found it in the mall. The aroma that met with me pretty much throughout the hotel was that of a calming coffee. The staff seems to take its job seriously while also coming off quite relaxed and friendly to both immediate guest and visitors from the nearby facilities.
I stopped at this Hampton on my drive home from Scranton to Kansas City.
Hotel was great. Pool was
Small. But kids didnt care.
To be fair, the rooms are just fine other than there are only a small handful of rooms without connecting doors to other rooms. The reason for my rating is that the hotel management team are incredibly cheap. Even more importantly, they have no integrity. Case in point - during my last stay a few weeks ago, I asked for a couple of bottles of water from the front desk attendant; these were in addition to the two free bottles they gave me upon check-in. And we're talking about generic brand bottles of water, not Dasani or some other expensive brand. As a lifetime Diamond member, EVERY hotel I stay at is always willing to give me a couple of additional free bottles of water. Not this hotel; not only did they charge me, but they charged me $3.00 A BOTTLE! When I called to express my extreme disappointment, they told me they would credit my card for the $6.00 charge. This was a lie as a credit to my card was never posted. I will NEVER stay at this property again as I refuse to do business with people devoid of integrity. If you are a frequent business traveler, I would recommend avoiding this hotel as they care NOTHING about customer loyalty.
We stayed here while playing at a tournament at Grand Park...had there not been a 72 hour cancellation requirement (yes, 72 hr. even though every other hotel has 24 due to COVID), we would have left before the first night was even over. It was outdated, dingy, smelled like all rooms were smoking rooms. It is in desperate need of a remodel/reno/gutting-paint was chipped and stained everywhere, the carpet is gross, the pool and "picnic" area is a joke. Our door didn't close tightly unless we absolutely slammed it, and it seemed to be the story with most families staying there as well. We were only given 2 towels, even though there were four of us. When we called and asked for additional towels, they made us come get them and were really leery of giving us more. I asked if we could have 4 more instead of 2 more since we would be showering more than once a day due to playing baseball, and they said no. Sadly, that was the least of our worries. The hotel is in a shady part of town, which we didn't know upon booking. Every night there was clear prostitution activity in the area, and most likely at the hotel. One evening we witnessed a woman come out screaming and yelling around 10:30pm at a guy who had been sitting in his vehicle for hours; she sweared and screamed and demanded her $2500 and proceed to start ramming his vehicle. If that wasn't bad enough, they were back the next two nights. We found a rubber glove with a tourniquet and needle in the parking lot on our last night, while trying to play a game wiffle ball (and make the best of it). In addition, at one point a two separate groups of shady men and women followed some of the young ladies in the hallway, noticeably making note of room numbers. It was shortly after that we noticed 5-6 cars routinely making a slow drive by the parking lot we were in, all driving the same route, and stopping in the same bank lot across the street. As a result of the behaviors witnessed and people staying there, we were very uncomfortable in surroundings. Clearly. Here is the icing on the cake: I went to the front desk and asked for a room key to whatever room number we were in. NEVER ONCE DID THEY ASK FOR A LAST NAME OR ID before giving us a key. NOT ONCE! Any one of those men/women could have asked for a key to our room and given. I addressed this immediately with the guy at the front desk and he said, "well, I have seen you in the hotel before." When I pointed out that he had no idea which room I was in or my name, he said, "you're right, but this is safe place." Riiiiiiiight. Go to any reputable hotel and request a room key without ID and you will get nothing. We slept with one eye open that night and couldn't wait to leave. The halls smelled of weed each evening and the front desk didn't seem to care about that or the noise in the halls or in the parking lots. A few additional notes--there is one washer and one dryer, not 2 of each as in the picture. We knew there would not be breakfast
The price is good, the service is good, and the location address map is easy to find. The hall was very angry, breakfast was not eaten, and everyone did not know how to respond.
I am reading the other reviews and I think these people just expected too much. I've stayed at this property several times in the past and never had any issues until last night, 10/31/2020. The Covid pandemic can't even excuse all of these issues. The 1st room we were assigned was missing the handle on the bathroom door, which was closed & unable to enter. So front desk was notified and our room was changed to one with 2 phones that didn't work, shelves missing from fridge, 1 smoke detector missing...both exits near the room had broken key entries so had to walk to main entry everytime we went to car. In the past when I stayed here, I used to turn the bedroom tv to face the whirlpool and I'd relax & watch a movie. Now, the TVs are bolted to the desk unable to move. Also, in the past (and typically at any hotel) I would pay for my stay during checkout. Now they take payment at checkin, so now you get charged before even seeing the room and inspecting it to see if it'll do. In the morning, I used my own cell phone to call front desk to request late check out. When I gave my room number, the attendant was confused and asked why I wasn't in the room I was assigned. I told her about the bathroom door and her reply was "Geez, it would have been nice if they had moved your room in the system," which indicates a failure on someone to actually do some work. Things have gone downhill in both service and quality. I'm happy to report no issues with bugs or noise but I won't be back until some renovations are done.
I initially loved the hotel!! When you first walk in, it's hard not to gasp! And then riding the elevator up to our room using our personalized hotel key to access the guest floors, made me feel extremely safe! The room was private, clean, large, romantic, and had an amazing view!
