Hotels Near Spark In Barcelona
0.04km from SparkLovely hotel in Barcelona. The room was also cleaned with fresh bedding and towels everyday which was great. The free coffee machine was a great touch and good coffee too. No option for a mocha but you can make one with the other options which was really nice touch. The garden terrace area was beautiful with lots of big plants everywhere, was nice to chill there in the morning or after a long day walking around. The staff where very helpful, good location easy to walk to the Rambla in 15-20 min walk, good bars and restaurants around the neighbourhood (try Rooq on the next block for the best chicken burger of your life and a beer for €2) there is a big supermarket on the same block as the hotel and a bakery with fantastic pastries which was great. Overall great stay would definitely recommend.
0.11km from SparkWe stayed in one of the Midtown Luxury Apartments for a holiday break during Easter/April 2019. It was a brilliant location, very central. The apartment was ok, nothing outstanding and certainly not worth the money. The kitchen lacked certain basic equipment, eg 4 coffee mugs. Even one would have been a start never mind 4!!!!! and the freezer was so old and beat up that the broken drawers would not open. The window blind in the kitchen needed to be permanently pulled as it looked directly into the next apartment, this made the kitchen very dark. On the surface the apartment was clean but you didn't have to look too far to realise that it needed a good deep clean. The bed sheets were disguisting!!!!!!!!!!!, they 100% had not been changed prior to our arrival! Sorry but I could not honestly recommend these apartments!

0.13km from SparkI've had a lovely stay in Fabrizzio’s Petit Hostel. We had a private room for three for two nights and can confirm that is worth its high ratings. The location is pretty comfortable somewhat between Sagrada Familia and La Rambla. The room was nice and clean, had a balcony and heater. The hostel, in general, is clean and well taken care of. We really appreciated the option of 24/7 breakfast when you can prepare or just have some food, drinks, and fruits whenever you want around the clock. If you are in Barcelona for a few days - it’s a perfect option to stay. P.S. It’s really nice to have breakfast under the morning sun on the balcony.

0.14km from SparkI’ve just returned from Hostalin Gran Via following a great trip with my husband and a couple of friends. The hotel is basic and clean, but has everything you need for a short city break. It is in a great location, although we initially had a little difficulty finding the building- we arrived at night, so we couldn’t see the hotel sign particularly clearly from the street. The hotel is a short and easy walk from Place de Catalunya and La Rambla, so very accessible from the airport bus drop off point. In the opposite direction you can easily reach Arc de Triomf and the beautiful district of El Born. Our friends had lots of Gaudi related visits booked and were able to reach everything on foot in around 20-25 minutes maximum without the need to rely on public transport. That is a much better way to see the city if you have no difficulty walking. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful and gave us a warm welcome along with a cold bottle of Cava per room with some flutes. This was really appreciated! The rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels provided. There is a small kitchen for guests use along with a coffee machine and biscuits. Our room was in very close proximity to the small hotel reception, which meant that we could hear some low level noise as people went about their day. However, this would in no way deter us from staying there again and rooms further along the corridor were perhaps unaffected. All in all we thought this was a great base for our trip and for the price we paid. We would definitely stay there again. Thanks Hostalin Gran Via. I’m sure we’ll be back!
0.14km from SparkI've now stayed at the Gran Hotel Havana twice for business trips and would happily stay again. The hotel is well located, and within 20 minutes walk of some of Barcelona's main tourist attractions. All the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is spotlessly clean, and both breakfast and lunch in the hotel were great. There's a couple of points which have stopped the hotel from getting an excellent rating from me. These are: - lovely L'Occtaine shampoo provided but not conditioner - bedroom walls are quite thin. I'm a heavy sleeper, but even I was woken by other people's conversations, alarm clocks and hair dryers. - both visits I have ordered room service after arriving late. Both times the staff seem to have misheard my room number and sent my food to a different room, leaving me hungry an hour later wondering where it has gotten to before chasing it up. Most hotels these days have a phone system where they see which room is calling, so they could benefit with upgrading. - difficult using mirror for doing make up. Huge, bright mirror in the bathroom, but large sink in front of it, so can;t get close enough to get those pesky liquid liner flicks right. There is a full length mirror out in the room, but not enough lighting near it. So I spent the mornings walking back and forth depending which part of my makeup I was doing. Pullout vanity mirror in the bathroom would easily solve this (or sufficient lighting in the bedroom). But all in all, more than happy to stay here again in future.
0.18km from SparkAt first we were a little afraid the room wasn't what we expected. Some of the reviews were quite great and others far below. The direct website has it all: the information, nice pictures and it we thought: let's take the "risk". We booked the better room with two separate beds. We walked through the streets and couldn't find it. But than, just on the corner there's the location. 10 minutes walking distance of Gracia and 15 minutes walking distance of Playa Catalunya and the Ramblas. You will stay in the complex between the locals. The room was nice, beautiful decoration, airco, sidetable with chairs, two balcony's (just to stand, no place for chairs) and an own bathroom (including soap and shampoo/douche gel) with every day clean towels. Also the beds are made every single day. The air freshener welcomes you "home" after a day of sightseeing. At the hallway you can put you drinks and snacks in a shared fridge. Breakfast is between 8.30 and 10.30 and is fully equipped. It's also possible to eat breakfast on the shared balcony/terrace. We had a really great stay over here! We stayed 6 nights en 7 days. The location is great. Just remember you are in the middle of the city, so you will hear everything. Cars, scooters, bikes etc. will drive through the streets so it will never be a 100% soundproof place. And that makes it special. You know you are one of the locals during your citybreak at Barcelona. Would definitely come back and recommend this place! (will choose the "better room" with own bathroom again).
0.18km from Spark2 stars for a 2 star hotel. I stayed here for 5 nights with a friend to celebrate my birthday in September. It has a lovely lobby area and the room was OK, but we had a leak from the room above on the second night and the front desk staff were indifferent at best. We were given a champagne bucket to catch the water and sent to another room which did not have two beds. Not a massive deal, but annoying. The next day we were told that we could not return to our room until someone came to investigate the pipes. No apology or offer of finding us a new room with two beds, just vague annoyance that we were asking them questions. It was eventually sorted and the bucket remained in our room for the remainder of our stay as a reminder. Further issues were: 1) The bathroom door had no lock, which seems to be standard. 2) The duvet was wrapped in a sheet not encased on a cover, which was odd. 3) The cleaning staff left dirty glasses and cups in our room. 4) The view wasn't great. 5) The pool is very small and shallow and can only be accessed by climbing a staircase, 6) My friend used the downstairs bathroom after breakfast and the light went off and would not come back on, leaving her to find her way out in pitch black. They did not care when she told them.
0.19km from SparkSuperb small hotel close to the Girona metro stop as well as a local fresh food market. It is also approx 10 minutes easy flat walk from the main shopping Avenue Passeig de Gracia and Gaudi's amazing houses. We had a large quiet room which included a queen bed, separate kitchen (decent size fridge, microwave) and dining space including a Danish design chair which converted to a bed and finally a spacious balcony which is great for late night drinks. The room included lots of retro touches as well as a mosaic from the original building. Staff are superb. Friendly, relaxed and very welcoming. We arrived very early and they offered us free coffee and then came and sat with us in the lounge area to explain how to get around Barcelona. Breakfast was terrific including the home made cinnamon waffles, fresh baked croissants and the basket of fresh oranges which allows you to squeeze your own juice. This place is special and very much recommended.
0.2km from SparkWe chose this Hostal because of its decor. It has the Terra Cotta floors, mosaic tiles in the bathroom, old plaster walls, door and windows from 1890 when built in Eixample district. It was a small room for American standards but, I feel like by Spanish standards it was good. The bed was double and not as comfortable as we were used to. However we did not have trouble sleeping because we were so tired each night. The air conditioning was lacking, and it smelled for the first few minutes you turned it on. We had a room facing the strong heat of the day, so, it took longer to cool down. The bathroom was small too. The towels and linens were fresh every day that we requested. They had complimentary shampoo and shower gels. At times during the day we would open the windows and have a breeze and hear sounds of the city. There was a lot of traffic and one night a lot of sirens. There were three restaurants just outside the main entrance. The one across the street was our go to for breakfast and some dinners. Food service, good food, good prices. The staff at the Guest Inn were very nice and accommodating to our needs. They have a refrigerator that you can store food or drink in. And they let you store your luggage if you arrive early or have to check out before you are ready for transport. The location is very central to all sights. We walked to everything we saw even to the beach. Restaurants were plentiful, transportation close by. Would stay there again.
0.22km from SparkRooms were fine for the price, modern, even if a little small. The shared bathroom was okay, but it really depends on the other guests, in what state they are left behind... people don't know how to act sometimes. During my stay, I was a little under the weather, and the staff was absolutely lovely! Best part about this place is how friendly and ready to help everybody was including the cleaning lady, who recommended me a place to eat chicken soup at, which surely cured me. I guess at the same price you can probably find better places, but the location was good and simply for the friendliness and helpfulness of everybody I'm leaving this review.
0.23km from SparkClean, cool hotel in a good area — very easily walkable (or a short taxi ride) to most neighborhoods and train station. My favorite part was the Libertine Bar/restaurant attached to the hotel. It was a great spot to end the night before going to bed (and/or to start the night by meeting up with friends there!) — hotel has a cool vibe, friendly staff, and affordably priced rooms. I had a few complaints about the cleaning staff entering my room uninvited (they’d knock and enter without giving me time to say I didn’t need their services — once I was napping and the other time I was in the bathroom when they entered my room!) so that was a bit annoying. There weren’t any bolt or chain locks, and I learned that my room was missing the “Do Not Disturb” sign — must’ve been taken by the previous guests. Anyway, all this to say that you should make sure your room has that sign and that you use it when you don’t want to be bothered! All that said, the cleaning crew was very friendly and I would definitely stay here again.
Hotels Near Spark In Barcelona Review
Fortunately, I chose this hotel at the beginning, and I was quite satisfied with it, especially the Chinese staff and comfortable beds. Would recommend to friends.
Location: It is about 30 minutes by taxi from the airport and the price is about 35 Euros. Going to the airport can ask the front desk for help. There are two supermarkets within 100 meters from the entrance and turning left. The medium-sized (much larger than 7-11) has everything in stock, especially the second one is more complete! Closed on Sundays, the slightly larger one is open until 21:30. Because there are so many thieves in the subway, the whole process is mainly walking and taxiing. The subway station does not know how far away. It is about a 10-minute walk from Casa Mila and Casa Batlló, and nearby (15-minute walk) there are Chinese food and a super delicious shop.
Hygiene, facilities: Very clean, two bottles of free mineral water every day, and non-heavy chocolates on the pillow. The bed was comfortable, not hard or soft, and the quilt was particularly comfortable. Hangers, disposable slippers, disposable toiletries, kettle, refrigerator, safe are all available, and there is a mini pool and gym upstairs. Fruits and discount cards were also given on the first day of stay.
Service: the best! On the first day, the front desk was assisted by a young Chinese service man who helped bring luggage to the room and sent us a map to introduce the location of the attractions. I can basically meet him in the next few days, greet him warmly, and asked him many questions, I really appreciate it! The service is also highly recommended for this hotel.
Some suggestions: The shelf in the bathroom will touch the arm, the air conditioner in the room will respond slowly, and both pieces of the bathrobe will be damaged.
I travelled with my children and we had a superior room with three separate beds. The room was spacious and we had a view of the beach across the road. I have given five stars as the hotel delivers what it sets out to. The staff were very helpful before I travelled, as well as during our stay. I liked that they sent me a survey whilst I was there. We had assumed the air conditioning was not working because we travelled offseason. We were offered an upgrade, which we did not take, however, we did get a fan and this helped a lot.The staff also helped me book tickets online, checked us in early. Customer service was excellent. The restaurants nearby are excellent, for breakfast, lunch, dinner whatever you prefer. There is a shopping centre nearby which a great variety of food, we chose the tapas.
What an amazing Hotel it should be 5 star! It was a little off putting when we arrived as there was a small homeless camp outside, but there was no bother from any of them, and once inside it was soon forgotten about! On arrival, check in was quick and we were offered a welcome drink, Cava for us and water for my daughter, she also received a H10 teddy and a sweet! The lovely man checking us in (i'm so sorry i forgot your name) noticed it was my 30th Birthday that day and gave us a room upgrade to a suite. The view from this room was unbelievably awesome with a window the full length of the room! The bed was huge and so comfy, the bathroom was well stocked with every toiletry/accessory you'd need and had a jacuzzi bath! The coffee machine in the room was brilliant. We had a cocktail at the bar which was good, and although a bit expensive was the same price as most in the area. One downside was the outdoor rooftop pool wasn't heated which meant although it was open, it was far too cold to use! Lovely seating area up there though which we made use of. A huge thank you to the hotel for the delivery in the evening to our room of Cava, Chocolate Mousse, sweets, cookies and chocolate covered strawberries, The room upgrade was more than enough, and this was so unexpected, what a lovely way to end my birthday! In the morning we were able to watch the sunrise from our bed with a coffee which was very lovely! Breakfast was incredible, nothing was missing, all well stocked and nothing ever ran out! Check Out was super quick and we were able to leave our bags for a few hours before we moved to our next hotel. Biggest downside about our stay was it was only for 1 night, we wished we had booked for longer!
Stayed here for three nights in July. We ended up here by accident after our original hotel cancelled, but couldn’t have worked out better. The junior suite is generous by any hotel’s standards and the bathroom is excellent. The hotel is really well located, and we more or less walked everywhere. You can walk to the really nice restaurant district of Born and the beach very easily as well. The staff were really helpful and couldn’t do enough for you, despite the challenging circumstances all hotels find themselves in at the moment. The rooftop bar is the highlight though, with stunning views across the city, great cocktails and and a great soundtrack. Sitting in the pool and then having drinks up there was a highlight of the holiday. We especially enjoyed the rooftop bar’s ‘Instagram corner’ where bored but clearly well trained boyfriends/husbands would take 847 pictures of a partner pouting at various different angles or acrobatic poses. The one woman dance routine on one occasion was a little much though. Maybe we’re just too British. When things return to normal (please!) we will definitely be back. Strongly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a bit of style and luxury in their holiday. Special shout out to the reception staff who were very patient with my Spanish! It made me feel much more competent than I am.
We spent 5 days in Barcelona over Christmas 2019. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast at the little restaurant was really good with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The room on the other hand was disappointing. The beds definitely need to be replaced. My partner and I had two single beds pushed together and both beds were hollow in the middle. Our room overlooked Avinguda del Paral.lel and it was incredibly noisy at night. There was a lot of ambulance activity in the street. The room was really small with a minute wardrobe to hang clothing in. We had no hot water in the shower on the first day (middle of December), this problem was sorted out the next day thankfully. Tea/coffee and sugar was supplied only the first day and then again two days later (after I had gone to buy coffee, sugar and milk). No milk or creamer is supplied. I do not understand why. No proper cups or mugs were supplied. Only two paper cups which one obviously can not re-use. My partner hurt his ankle and I ordered ice to put on the sprain. We were charged for the tiny bucket of ice! We were quite surprised that the hotel has a 4 star rating. Other than the room the hotel is quite central and we did enjoy our time in Barcelona.
Just checking out of the hotel after a great weekend in Barcelona with my son to watch Barcelona play Getafe. The hotel is in a good location just 10 minute walk from Collblanc Metro station with direct links to the airport and 10 minutes to Nou Camp for the game. The check in staff were great on Friday afternoon, also the cleaners were polite and always said hello. The cafe / bar is best avoided. The staff try to ignore you, on my first visit the two members of staff spent 5 minutes trying to avoid me, the lady on Friday evening even came from behind the bar, straightened the four chairs next to me then walked away. We ate in the hotel on Saturday night, the prices are reasonable but the quality is lacking. Also the food available was disappointing, many items in the short menu were out of stock. When we got the bill I was told that the bottle of tap water we also had wasn’t on the bill but we had to pay an extra €3 for this. Not sure if this went through the till or in the top jar. Last night I bought a 1/2 litre jug of sangria to take to the room, was charged the €5.65 as per the menu but the drink was given in a glass the same size as a standard sangria I had on Saturday night. I questioned this with the bar staff but they were adamant they were right. In the room after I had finished the glass, I filled the glass up with tap water using the 200ml bottle of sprite we also bought. It was no surprise that the 500ml sangria glass only takes 400ml of the liquid. As we checked out, my son went to reception a minute before me to get some €1 coins for a few games of pool before we left. He asked the receptionist, who gave him 4 x 50c coins in return. He said this wasn’t enough but she dismissed him. When I walked down moments later he was upset so I challenged the receptionist. She said she was right but after my insistence she back down and gave us the other €2 back. She said the hotel did. It have any €1 coins. We asked at the bar, but he didn’t have any either. We could have just been unlucky with the water charge, the sangria being short and with my son being short changed at reception, I will never know. I would not return to this hotel to find out. Please book somewhere else.
