I needed a pet friendly hotel as my cat had an early appointment with a specialist in Moncton. I have stayed at a larger number of hotels ranging from low end to high end and went for Thriftlodge by Wyndham as it was cheap and pet friendly. I have stayed at less fancy and cheaper motels that have been clean and nice, nothing like this disgrace of a motel. Location: the location is good and there are some fast food restaurants within walking distance. It’s by a busy road and the rooms have zero sound proofing meaning you hear the traffic like you were sitting outside. Check in: the gentleman who checked me in was friendly enough. There was no other guests in the lobby area. Room: the room was a drive up room. It was the worst motel room I have seen since 2004. I have attached some photos as a picture says more than 1,000 words. The room is small and extremely run down. I found a lighter on the floor and there was more dirt on the floor. I went back to the reception to let him know I found a lighter on the floor and that it was filthy. His response was that he would let housekeeping know. The walls were dirty and had marks, the carpet was ripped and dirty, the handles on the desk were broken, there were burn marks on the toilet seat, the list goes on. The walls are paper thin and I heard the TV in the next room and that person kept the TV on until 4.30am. I slept all of 90 minutes. The bed was actually comfortable and the TV big with a decent number of channels. Everything else about the room was horrible. The security latch was broken and the entire place is in dire need of some TLC. I would not even consider this good value for money if it was $25. Wifi: the compline wifi was satisfactory. Breakfast: the motel did not serve breakfast due to the pandemic. Funny that, as one would think they would take extra care to clean the rooms given the pandemic. Breakfast is too dangerous but not cleaning the rooms properly between guests is not a problem. Overall: I would never stay here again and I would not recommend it to anyone. I would rather sleep in my car than stay here. Avoid at any cost.

Although this hotel has nothing out of the ordinary Four Points offerings, personally, I liked my experience here. It is your typical highway stop with efficiency-oriented room design (i.e. not quirky, not tacky, just adequate) and enough amenities to be called "premium select service". I loved my upgrade to the jacuzzi suite, and the cleaning was up to Marriott's standard. That said, I found it odd that the restaurant was closed for breakfast service but open for dinner. Also, I found the staff efficient but on the laid-back side. I would love to see them a little bit more engaging, although I get that Covid is taking a toll on everyone in the hospitality industry. In general, I would come back if I'm looking for a quick overnight stop off the highway, but with Moncton being a smaller city, I would rather stay somewhere in town for the full experience if I have the extra 20 minutes.

Although I booked two nights stay, I had to cancel but felt compelled to write on the basis of the staff. Our stay was planned with an operation on my Dad's dog which would be over two days. When I booked the staff was very pleasant and took all my questions and requests. The next day they followed up to let me know if an upstairs room would suit my needs. I was fine with that and appreciated this sort of care. The day of our expected arrival I had to drop by to say that I had to cancel our reservation due to my Dad's dog not being able to have the planned surgery. The staff was very cordial and took care of the matter and making me feel it was no problem at all and they were sorry to hear about our problem. The office was very neat and clean and it looked as though the recent updating was done well. Judging by experience I think Motel 6 would have been to my liking for sure. At least I can say the staff is just great.

The host barely speaks English. Very hard for her to understand what we were saying and she also has trouble communicating, she practically only speaks Chinese. We were pressured to pay as soon as we arrived. She also wanted all our info like credit card numbers, license plate, address, driver license numbers, etc...way too much, I said no. She gave us a key that didn't open the door to the room she gave us. Then she said we were in the other room across the hall and she opened the door. I entered the room and a man was already there, wondering what I was doing in his room. I turned to the hostess and she seemed to find it funny. I was not amused. She looked confused. After a minute she said we were in one of the other three houses they have. She took us to the house. The whole place smelled of humidity. The room was very small. The bathroom was literally an arm's length away from the bed. The shower had hairs and pubic hairs in it, we didn't dare to shower that night. There were molds and humidity stains on the wall next to the shower. The mattress was very dusty (they just change linens but never clean the mattress it seems). We had scheduled two nights in advance. Since we couldn't cancel the first night, we stayed and cancelled the second night. We found a nice hotel instead. The hostess didn't understand what was going on. When the online company we used too book our room called her to cancel the second night, they told us they couldn't speak with her and that she just hung up on them. When I gave her the keys the next morning, she greeted me wearing a dirty long lab coat, she was apparently making breakfast I guess. I tried to explain we were leaving and that the second night would not be paid. She didn't understand a word and was talking to her husband in Chinese the whole time. I lost patience and I just left. Stay away if you want a worry free experience. This has been most disagreeable and way too expensive for what it is.

The facility is very elegant and modern. The staff are very efficient and friendly. I have been to a few events and had my own wedding there and every experience has been above and beyond. The hotel rooms are comfortable and well appointed. The food is delicious and several guests at my wedding said it was the best chicken they ever had! Erika, the event coordinator, is very friendly and professional who paid great attention to detail which made planning our wedding easy and fun. The only con is the top floor of hotel is only accessible by stairs limiting anyone with difficulty with mobility. The main floor rooms do have elevator access however. Over all my lasting impression is a great space to host an event and very comfortable rooms with unforgettable food!

We picked this hotel because it offered breakfast. On our last day, we would be flying 13 hrs with tight connections, and didn't think we would get another chance to eat. This breakfast was not anything like we were expecting. The "entrees" looked like a half a piece of toast with Gouda and half a slice of tomato. The other option appeared to be a half slice of toast with jam. Other treats included quiche cup, about the size of a sliver dollar, a mini muffin, and what appeared to be a small egg dish. I normally stay at the Crown Plaza, with a full breakfast buffet, and will return there next time. We didn't eat here, and instead we took our chance at what we could get at the airport. I had a reservation for Wednesday night, and we were going to able to get in a day early. While waiting to board at the Toronto airport, I called the front desk to add a day to my reservation. The attendant told me he couldn't find my reservation, and to go online and book it. I told him I had no internet connection, couldn't he use my Hilton Honors number and book the room. He said let him call me back in 5 minutes, and as I expected, no such call happened. I was able to make a quick call to Hilton 800 as I boarded and got the room booked. We showed up as scheduled at 1:40 am, and my traveling companion's room had been given out to someone else (we were booked for late arrival). NO big deal we thought, but they were unable to book another room for the same price. They asked him to sit down "for about 20 mins" while they figured out how to do this. I insisted that they give him a room. They agree, went up, let him in a room, and told him they would put his key under the door. The next morning, no key. We did encounter Grace at the front desk the next morning that got all this figured out. Thanks Grace! The room was nice, bed and pillows were comfortable. Except for the desk attendant I encountered on the phone, the staff was nice, if not well trained. The building was convenient to downtown restaurants. Primarily due to the lack of a morning breakfast, I'll be staying elsewhere on my next visit to Moncton.

After a very long day of driving (Quebec thru Maine to New Brunswick), a missed ferry and then more driving … we were a Sunday night “walk in”. The woman at the front desk was (pardon the pun) most accommodating and we found ourselves in a peaceful ground floor unit at the back of the property. Simple and comforting room allowed us a great sleep. They provided us with a magnificent hot breakfast which set the tone for the rest of the day. When we came back through Moncton, 17 days later, we made sure that we once again stayed in this “Hidden Gem”!

The location of the hotel is just off the highway, clean and tidy! Quietly surrounded, it is a similar motel opened by Koreans! Breakfast for adults and children is free, although there is nothing special. But the breakfast at the Canadian hotel is basically the same, it is already ok! Parking is free, there is a large open-air swimming pool in the yard, just don't have time to visit! Stayed for two days and cleaned it! Recommended!

Ben and the team at Fairholm Inn provided us excellent customer service when we were planning our stay in January for the month of April and May. Ben took the time to find the most suitable arrangements within their property that matched our needs and price points. He was quick, thorough and professional with his communication. We were really looking forward to our stay. Unfortunately with COVID we had to cancel. The Inn was gracious to support us to cancel the booking. Once things clear and we are able to make it to Charlottetown we’d be very happy to re-book with them. Their professionalism and attention to their customers needs is apparent; I’d definitely recommend them to friends and family.

The Hampton Inn Charlottetown was our base for 3 nights as my boyfriend and I explored the Charlottetown area and the rest of the beautiful province of PEI. We were generally happy with our stay, but there were a few issues that somewhat tainted the experience. First, let me begin with the good: The hotel is very modern and clean. The room was spotless upon entry and was well-appointed with a king-sized bed, a walk-in shower, and plenty of electrical outlets/ charging stations. Very comfortable with a great aesthetic! The not-so-good: I got in the shower around 9 am on both Saturday and Sunday and was surprised by not having hot water. It’s wasn’t freezing, so I managed, but lukewarm showers on vacation are a bit disappointing. I’m surprised that this is an issue in a virtually brand-new hotel. Breakfast is only served until 9, including on the weekend, which seems pretty early when on vacation mode. That’s not a huge complaint, though, as we could have made a point to go if it were one of the reasons for choosing this property, but it wasn’t a big deal for us to miss breakfast. The sound proofing in the hotel was pretty awful. The doors slam shut behind you and we could hear the 4-5 doors in the vicinity of our room every time they closed. If people were talking in the hallway, we could hear just about every word they were saying from our bed. This might not have been super off-putting, but the hotel was hosting a few minor sports teams, with dozens of kids between 8-12 years old staying with their families. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a teacher and I adore kids, but they were excessively loud, and there were unaccompanied kids in hallways, elevators and other areas all of the time. I know as well as anyone that it’s hard to keep a large group of children entertained, but when they’re running the halls on their own, shouting to each other, or playing with mini hockey sticks in hallways (and I mean a full out games with teams and nets) and playing video games on the business computers morning to night, even at 11:30 pm, management should likely step-in and set some limitations. Not the fault of the hotel that there were teams, and I’ve travelled with many sports teams myself, but I was somewhat disappointed with the hotel’s lack of expectations regarding hotel behaviour. Overall, I’d probably stay again when visiting Charlottetown, but this particular stay left a bit to be desired.
