I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights for a professional reason. I am satisfied with the price quality ratio and the staff are courtesy. In general the hotel is in a low noise sector. However, it would be a more refreshing room walls.

As very regular users of Accor hotels we found this hotel to be up to the high standard that you would expect from the Accor group. Clean, well organised and totally satisfactory. However, unusually, the restaurant attached to this hotel is totally unacceptably poor. Admittedly it is not expensive but my “pièce de boeuf” was totally inedible and with so much sinew that even a steak knife couldn't cut it and my wife's piece of duck was equally horrible. The waiter kindly agreed to change the duck for salmon tartare, which, disappointingly, proved to be totally tasteless. An Ibis Styles Hotel should have a restaurant of a far higher standard attached to it. We will not be returning as being on the edge of the town it seems unlikely that there will be a better independent restaurant in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. A great disappointment.

When you arrive, the hotel smells very strongly of flowers, either you love it or you hate it. The check- in was very bizarre. Only two small tables that look like they are part of the bar, serve as the check in. You don’t feel very welcome. We went to the bedroom, it was fine. Nothing special but still with carpet. Bed was fine, a bit hard. Okay bathroom but on the small side. Remember this hotel is by the motorway so quite noisy even with the double glazed windows closed so don’t forget your earplugs if you are a light sleeper. When it was time for the pool, we went to get towels form reception. (We are a family of three). We ask for the towels and the receptionist said : it’s only 2 towels per family. I laughed and thought it was a joke. After a calm 1 minute discussion and offering to give feedback to the hotel director about this nonsense rule, the receptionist preferred to give us 3 towels. Beware if you don’t stand up for yourself and ask a towel for each guest, you will have to share wet towels. Then worst was the quality of the food at the Novotel restaurant. We ordered a burger but asked for the cheese to be removed. The waiter literally said that the food is pre-made so that was not a request that they could fulfill. The overall food quality at dinner was worse then McDonald’s (where at least you can customise your food). Breakfast was okay, no complaints. Checkout was still on the small table but was okay. I was fooled by the idea of having a pool and now I know that I will not come back to this hotel again.

On way there no problems, polite, helpful staff. NOT the case on way back Friday 26/8. Rude unhelpful staff, who wanted to charge one of us for drink, but with no price list. When asked apparently the price list is private and no receipt could be provided! Screams out that someone on the make. Also staff entered one of the rooms while we loading cars and hadn’t even checked out which is totally unacceptable. So unfortunately you missed out on 14 breakfast on Saturday 27/8 as we all went elsewhere. I know this is a budget hotel but don’t expect to be shouted at when we are paying customers. Would like to speak to someone about having some money refunded and some of your staff need to be trained in customer services and also conveniently don’t understand English which is not what is advertised! Very bad experience and definitely not happy.

We arrived on a drizzly cold night and I was so glad there is a restaurant in the hotel. In fact there are 2 restaurants , one on the ground floor which we visited and the other on the roof. The rooms are very functional but nice and clean with all you need for an overnight stop. The only downside for the room was that it was too hot and since we had our cats with us we could not open the windows to cool it down. Tried turning down the heating but nothing seemed to change. The restaurant was good with very chatty and friendly staff. I had a tuna steak served with a rôsti cake and some fresh vegetables and it was very good. We had a bottle of AOC Ventoux red wine which was very pleasant. For dessert a chocolate tart which had an unusual pink base but tasted good. The restaurant manager arranged for a magician who was working the other restaurant to come to our table an do a few tricks which was a nice touch. The breakfast was simple but good and we set off well refreshed the next day.

As I regularly travel through France, my overnight stays have been in quite different hotels. The Campanile hotel in Clermont Ferrand will remain one of the favorites, especially when travelling on a Sunday, when restaurants in rural areas close for the evening. The rooms are efficient, but comfortable with modern bathrooms and perfectly clean. Optionally, a reasonable self service breakfast can be ordered. Reception staff are friendly. The common areas include an outside terrace (don’t have high expectations of the view), a TV lounge area and a bar. The hotel has a large, secure underground car park, which is great when travelling with a fully loaded car. From the autoroute to the hotel takes appr 10 minutes Last but not least, the tram, with a stop in front of the hotel, takes less than 15 minutes to the city center with many restaurants open on a Sunday night.

Stayed here for a couple of nights. Front of house chap could have been a lot more helpful, we felt we were pumping him with questions which he should have been telling us before we asked. eg what to see in the local area and even a map. The room was ample with good views over the roof tops and cathedral but no fridge! No milk provided, we had to ask at the bar area but with no fridge was difficult to keep fresh for the morning Breakfast was very good with views over to the cathedral.(lovely fresh orange juice) Car park was under the hotel, our car was hit while parked there as very tight parking spaces but there is no CCTV. Some of this hotel was a BW Signature collection but not all.

Un ensemble plutôt sympa. Bonne idée l'exposition d'artiste dans le hall et la salle de petit déjeuner. L'hôtel est style urbain, avec des fresques bien réalisées dans les chambres, amusantes. L'emplacement est de premier ordre, on a pu laisser la voiture dans le parking souterrain à côté pour un prix raisonnable de 24H et sillonner la ville. Nous avions choisi une chambre donnant sur la petite rue arrière, par peur de bruits nocturnes un samedi soir en centre piéton. Ce fut un bon choix, c'était tranquille. le petit déjeuner nous a offert de très bonnes viennoiseries et pain, des confitures artisanales entre autres. Rapport qualité prix très intéressant.

Practical hotel, close to CHU and tram, quiet, pleasant and rest-friendly room, good welcome, good litter, But, unfortunately as reported on other guest reviews, smell of waste in the bathroom that spreads in the room..... Signal at the reception, resigned response on the pipeline, which would be old ... I had to improve myself by putting a wet mud on the shower bond during the night. Then the hairdryer was a little hairdryer, and a small ice band was left (6 days!) on the nose of the stairway, making them sliding. Last point: The two blue statues of stylized gorillas that dominate the client while he climbs into the entrance seem somewhat aggressive ... But there are tastes and colors ...;)

The hotel is located near a large hospital , not too far from the centre . A paying parking is located nearby , as well as a nice cooking store making the breakfast we prefer to the cheaper hotel in a sweet environment . We will certainly return to it when we pass through this city. However, the hospital in front can receive on its roof helicopters of emergency services , in this case it can not be very noisy even if the insonorization evaporates much of the noise.

Stayed at the Oceania on a weekend trip to watch rugby. The hotel beat all expectations, polite and helpful staff, easy check in, clean and well laid out rooms, British TV channels and close to the centre and trams. Only down side was that the bar was closed on the weekend, and when you have a fair number of rugby fans they missed a trick. I would recommend this hotel if you go to Clermont.

Je suis descendue dans cet hôtel et j’avais bon espoir car tout semblait simple: resa ok, parking à côté ok, proximité du lieu de travail ok. Mais…car oui, il y a un mais. Personnel d’accueil surchargé et préférant s’occuper d’un groupe plutôt que d’une personne seule. L’odeur en entrant dans la chambre est immonde. 28 degrés dans la chambre et pas de climatisation ou aération -＞ j’ai contacté la réception et il m’a été répondu que l’hôtel n’a pas de climatisation car il a un eco label et que je n’ai qu’à ouvrir la fenêtre. Il m’est dit qu’il y a une tour de ventilation dans le placard. Là je rigole et ironise: ecolabel mais l’électricité pour le ventilateur c’est écologique ça ??! J’ajoute que la fenêtre ouverte, c’est infernal ! Bruit jusqu’à 3h du matin et à 5h odeurs et bruit de nouveau. Pour finir, le petit déjeuner. Un monde fou et des gens entassés…dont des gens qui toussent. J’indique à la personne de l’accueil qui tel un cerbère m’avait demandé sans ménagement mon numéro de chambre, que vu le monde, je vais prendre mon petit déjeuner dans ma chambre. Elle m’invective et me dit que je n’ai pas le droit…ce sont des appartements équipés d’une cuisine pourtant ! Je n’ai pas pris ce petit déjeuner car j’ai jugé que les conditions n’étaient pas assez sures par les temps qui courent. Pour info, j’ai regardé ce qu’il y a au petit déjeuner de proposé : café mauvaise machine, jus orange reconstitué, petits croissants gras, yaourts…peu de choix. En même temps, pas de rapprovisionnement puisque la personne en charge de ça est derrière le plexiglass et surveille les arrivants plutôt que faire son travail. Bref, une catastrophe. De 4 nuits, je n’en passerai que 2. Je vais ailleurs où je suis mieux reçue.

Following a mechanical break and an immobilization of our vehicle from Spain, I contact the hotel to cancel my room. After giving my name and booking number, I explain to the recipient that I am aware of the very short time of this cancellation (24h before), that I had paid in advance and that I wanted only a document attesting my cancellation for I'm surprisingly surprised to tell her that I've booked directly on Kyriad's website. She answers that I must do this cancellation on their website by clicking on a tab dedicated to this purpose and that I will get this attestation. So I'm going to Kyriad's site, don't find this tab and remind her to signal him. It is then that this lady persisting in her misinformation, inflicts me on: ”Sir, you don't listen to me !!!” and ”This is the last time I explain it to you !!!”. I ask her to speak to me otherwise and to speak to a hotel manager, seeing that it was impossible to move forward with her, she waits me and then tells me that her manager cannot take me on the phone and that it is necessary send him a email ??? I'm locking up and looking on the web, I find a n' phone from Kyriad's platform to cancel my reservation, on which I was explained that a reservation could not be cancelled via their website and that his colleague vehemently “I was not trained. I received a email confirming my cancellation and for the little story, invoking breakfasts that will never have been consumed! I will never be back to a Kyriad hotel and I'll also ask me about the truth of the dithyrambic opinions on this hotel with such a reception and such deafy of its direction.

We stayed here due to it's proximity to the rugby stadium plus with a car park. Check in was faultless. Our room was large, comfortable and clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower powerful (we also had a separate bath!). Breakfast was plentiful and generally kept fresh and topped up. Easily sufficient foir starting the day. The Staff were friendly and helpful - even with simple obvious queries. Would recommend for rugby (5 minute walk) or the city (2 to 3 tram stops from outside). The hotel is in the midst of a refurbishment and so currently is noisy during the day.

We arrived on a drizzly cold night and I was so glad there is a restaurant in the hotel. In fact there are 2 restaurants , one on the ground floor which we visited and the other on the roof. The rooms are very functional but nice and clean with all you need for an overnight stop. The only downside for the room was that it was too hot and since we had our cats with us we could not open the windows to cool it down. Tried turning down the heating but nothing seemed to change. The restaurant was good with very chatty and friendly staff. I had a tuna steak served with a rôsti cake and some fresh vegetables and it was very good. We had a bottle of AOC Ventoux red wine which was very pleasant. For dessert a chocolate tart which had an unusual pink base but tasted good. The restaurant manager arranged for a magician who was working the other restaurant to come to our table an do a few tricks which was a nice touch. The breakfast was simple but good and we set off well refreshed the next day.

Hotel in central location, in a few minutes reach the city's main monuments. Small but comfortable rooms, recently renovated, a little small bathroom but can be well for a few days. The lift is small and unpractical because it stops at the middle floor, so there are always stairs to do. We haven't had a meal in the hotel so I can't judge the kitchen.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights for a professional reason. I am satisfied with the price quality ratio and the staff are courtesy. In general the hotel is in a low noise sector. However, it would be a more refreshing room walls.
