Did a family getaway to Grand Forks for the weekend... 3 rooms and 8 people. We were able to get 1 courtyard room so we spent most of our time in the courtyard. Check in - Seemed nice enough until we went to our room.. and came back and asked for a different location in the courtyard. After some back and forth she finally gave us another room but seemed annoyed she had to do something nice for us. Courtyard temperature - Normally it is warm and humid in most indoor courtyard/pool areas.. it was between cool and cold all weekend. My Mom got a blanket to hide under, when we asked if it could get any warmer in here the front desk only offered to send us more blankets. STRICT courtyard curfew - The courtyard is open 6am to 11pm, no later hours for weekend. And when it says 11pm IT MEANS 11PM... they almost seemed to take pleasure in kicking everyone out of the courtyard... and off the balconies at 11pm... even if you werent making noise you HAVE TO go into your room. It was sad to see a couple sitting on the floor in the hallway.. they paid for a balcony and wanted to sit and relax on the balcony while the kids fell asleep.. but the extremely rude female told them they had to go in their room. I am surprised she didnt come back and kick them out of the hallway either. She seemed not to be too nice to others as well as we heard a few loud and heated exchanges at the front desk. It's great to see some others had such a wonderful experience.. but we wont make this mistake again.

Absolutely disturbed on this last visit. To start off, 1 of the hot tubs was shut down for years, too cheap to fix. Another hot tub was colder than my bathtub when you get in there's an extremely strong odor, not chlorine but urine. The other small hot tubs had as much as 15 children at once in it. Furniture throughout has not been cleaned or changed in years. The ceiling over the pool is falling into the water. Light fixture underwater in the pool came loose. It was floating in the pool flickering, maybe shorting out or maybe loose bulb. As a certified electrician this was extremely dangerous. If the cord attached to the light fixture became loose it could have potentially killed all children in the pool. I amongst other concerned guests mentioned it to the front desk. They said this always happens and it is safe. Which this is untrue, no incidents yet but over time that cable has likely had a lot of strain and will eventually break killing everyone in the pool. I mentioned to the desk that they need to evacuate the pool until the issue gets resolved. They did eventually evacuate the pool. Maintenance came to fix the light, they did it live without shutting the circuit off. I got a video of this. While they were jimmy rigging this fixture a hotel guest jump into the pool to help reinstall said live light fixture. I'm sure the guest was not qualified to work on electrical. After the light was installed with some sort of putty I noticed the general manager. I approached him to see if the breaker has been shut off or if the fixture was shorting out. He confirmed the breaker was shut off. He also mentioned the maintenance personal were not electricians. I then realized the maintenance had no right fixing this fixture, they didn't even do it properly. The manager blamed a kid for pulling the light out. I told him if the light was installed properly with screws instead of putty the child or adult would never be able to pull the underwater light out. The general manager was so ignorant and told me I should stay somewhere else. Absolutely rude to me, zero customer service. Later when I was swimming I got a screw in the bottom of my foot. Was it from maintenance dropping it? Was it from a light fixture? This hotel used to be a gem years ago as it was cleaner and half the price. Now its disgusting, dated and double the price that it used to be. I've been coming here for years and will not return. I would advise everyone else to look elsewhere. Drive to Fargo if this the only place left. Trust me The only good thing in this joint was the lady at the front desk was kind and courteous. Avoid, avoid, this light was an issue the visit before this one too but I had faith they would have resolved it. They didn't, slum lord for hotels. Don't give them your money. They will kill someone someday...

Had the pleasure of staying at this property for 4 great nights visiting family in Grand Forks. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly desk clerk, who took the time to thank us for being Hilton Honors members. Love the fact that Hilton lets you checkin and pick your room the day before you arrive...a great perk. The grounds were immaculate and lobby very clean. As this was our first travels since the COVID outbreak, cleanliness was important. Our room was very clean and big. The bathroom was clean as well and all the toiletries very well stocked. I'm guessing because of the COVID the hotel was not crowded at all. Sometimes it felt like we were the only ones there. ALL of the employees we encountered were so very nice, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast in the morning was just a bit scaled down, understandably, but there was still great choices and plenty to eat. Both the attendants at breakfast were so kind and personable. The location of this property can't be beat, as there is plenty of shopping, restaurants, gas stations and mall very close by. Also, very easy access to and from I-29 for travelers. The lobby was always our family's get together point and it was very clean and welcoming. I would just like the thank ALL the employees here for such a great and memorable stay. They interacted with us and we were thanked many times for traveling and staying with them.

This was a business trip for my husband an I. First impressions of the hotel were clean, modern and minimalist. Upon entering the room I was delighted to see a studio type layout. Couch, large ottoman, desk/chair wall unit that separated the living space from the sleeping space. We appreciated the mini fridge & microwave. The toilet room was separate from the shower room which was another huge bonus. The only downside was that the couch was very uncomfortable for prolonged sitting (understood it was made to double as a pull out bed, but it was over firm and uncomfortable. We appreciated the variety of foods they were able to provide for breakfast in light of this COVID time (yogurt, oatmeal, mini brioche egg & cheese sandwiches, mini muffins, juice & coffee).

This is a great hotel! The people working here are fantastic. We especially love Heather at reception. She has such a bubbly & friendly personality and makes us feel so welcome every time we visit. The continental breakfast has so much variety and there is always something for everybody. The lounge area is very nice too and they even have free popcorn for the guests. For every night stay we also got a free drink in the lounge. The only disappointment was that the hot tub didn't work properly the first night we were there. It was losing water and they were filling it up with cold water during swimming hours and we had to sit in cool water. It would have been nice if this would have been done after pool hours closed. I stayed at the Staybridge Suites, Grand Forks from February 21-23, 2020. What a fantastic place! The suite we were in had 2 bedrooms complete with tv's (one king size bed and the other 2 double beds and each bedroom has it's own ensuite. It has a full service kitchen with dishwasher and a living area complete with sofa and chair and large tv. We went down to the pool/hot tub area which was large and very nice and very clean. The breakfast area was also very clean and had a full service buffet, lots of tables and chairs. The hotel was directly across from the Alerus Centre which was perfect for our needs. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend this property 100%.

Came to this hotel because we needed laundry service. The front office staff were pleasant and helpful. However, as we made our way to our room the hallway carpet was fikthy. It looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks. The rooms were a little better. When I went to do the laundry, the washer and dryer were fikthy. There was cleaning staff nearby, so I pointed it out and asked them.if they could clean the tops where I would be folding my cloths. One responded that they were really dirty and she didn't think cleaning would help!!?? Only when I asked for a cloth and cleaning supplies to do it myself did she reluctantly start doing it. Cleanliness standards in this hotel, especially during this pandemic are exceedingly low. We won't be back.

I tried to shower at 7am, the water was tepid at best, my husband tried to shower shortly after and there was no hot water at all. We checked every 15 minutes until we had to be somewhere at 1pm and the water never got hot. When I said something at the front desk I was told that the hotel was full and we would just have to keep checking the water. I have stayed at several hotels in the past few years and I have never had one run out of hot water. The room was comfortable and clean, the people were friendly and if I had been able to have more than a short tepid shower is would have been a perfect weekend.

This was a very well laid out place. Big lobby, and once you entered you see the restaurant bar and pool area. The restaurant was nice except for breakfast. Bar had daily specials going on and was an easy environment to go to by yourself. The pool was indoors and was well taken cared of. They have a Linux computer that you could do some quick work with a printer attached to it. The staff is very quick to get you going with whatever you need. These workers are like experts. Check-In was extremely quick, problems were sorted out and resolved quickly with billing, all the bar staff were helpful and attentive. Dinner restaurant staff was a little slow, but I could only imagine they had multiple stuff they were pulling together behind the kitchen doors. Lots of parking and well taken cared of. Rooms were very cozy and felt very at home for relaxing.

We came to Grand Forks for a night away, and to stock up on American goodies. Picked this hotel from hotels dot com because the deal was comparable to other local hotels for the quality. Hotel is close to everything you’d need in Grand Forks. Very clean and modern decorations. The elevator kinda stinks but I guess you can’t control that. The price as I said is fair and comparable. The bed was very comfortable for a good nights sleep. We had an accommodations room so it had lots of space especially in the washroom. No signs of bugs or anything concerning. Air conditioning, fridge present. Also a coffee a machine but we don’t use those. They had tv and included wifi as well as breakfast. They had a better gym than most Hotels, couple treadmills, elliptical, a weight rack, bench and an all-in-one machine. I would return here. Nice and clean. Near the football centre if you’re into that! Friendly staff. Great stay.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel overnight on September 5th when travelling back to Lethbridge Alberta from Ontario. The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. Our night was very quiet, the bed was comfortable, the room was exceptionally well cleaned and the price was very reasonable. Although the Inn is somewhat outdated, we would definitely stay there again and would suggest checking it out before paying a much higher price elsewhere with the same amenities.
