Hotels Near Splendido In Prague
0.02km from SplendidoI have visited this hotel for 2 nights with my family for Middle Europe tour via ETS tour company. Hotel is nice. Breakfast is not that "poor" that mentioned about. Its very satisfied even for a Turk just like me. It was very rich and the american salad was ultra delicious. We liked it. But only one problem was about staffs behaviour to our tour friends. The lady staff in the restaurant was not polite and she said something roughly. We couldn't understand what she said. I think she mentioned about the foods that she thought about too much on the table. I would love to send her a one week holiday ticket with her family in a five-stars hotel one of the 500 five-stars hotel in Antalya. I guaratee its impossible to being encountered a situation just like that one. I would love to see by herself what a breakfast is and how a customer satisfied with it.

3.05km from SplendidoStayed here recently with my young adult son.Extremely friendly and welcoming staff, especially at reception. It is nice to be in a hotel is such Grandeur ....and still be able to buy a drink at the bar without feeling it's unaffordable!.Yes it's more than some local bars but on par with tourist bars in town. however as my son pointed out,' look at the setting we are in !'( also be wasn't paying) Loved the local area ,loads of bars/ restaurants/ cafe to explore off the tourist track and always welcoming.Prices by UK standards cheap in local area. Will visit Prague again and definitely stay at this beautiful hotel that is steeped in history. The common areas are fantastic ,the basic rooms are a bit tatty but in a distinguished faded grandeur way. The breakfast was a bonus and varied and plentiful but not a deal breaker for us.
4.04km from SplendidoMyself and my husband stayed here for three nights as part of BA package. The hotel was only a short transfer from the hotel and is right next to Metro and Tram transport links. The hotel is very modern, clean, and quiet - at times we felt like we were the only people staying there! The reception staff were always very polite. We were able to get into our room as soon as we arrived and they were able to always help us - we bought transport tickets from them at reception, changed money from notes to coins and also used the luggage storage service upon checking out. The only slight disappointment is that there were a range of items provided in the fridge in the room (water, beer, pepsi and cholocate) and we were only aware that these were chargeable upon checkout when we were billed for them! We have stayed in many hotels around the world were obviously items in the mini bar are chargable, however this has always been made clear on a sign in the room, but we have also stayed in hotels were the items are complimentary. Also don't forget you will get billed a nightly tax at the end of your stay. We did however have a lovely stay at the Diplomat and nothing was too much trouble. We would return here if ever returning to Prague.
4.28km from SplendidoI was a solo traveler in my recent 25-day sojourn in Europe. In between two tours, I had a 3-day stay at Hostel Dakura, where location was of prime importance, as it was in the same district as the hotels where I transferred to join another tour. It was close to restaurants, groceries for last-minute shopping, and the train and bus stations. The room I had with a large bed was clean and spacious, as were the shared kitchen and toilets/showers which were conveniently located. Moreover, the staff were super-friendly, helping me with luggage, directions, and getting taxi service. On my last two days of tour, I stayed at this hostel again. The receptionist took the time to get me airport shuttle service. I definitely will recommend this place, not only for the price, but also for its excellent service, great location, and quiet ambience.
4.49km from SplendidoYou will probably get a room at Dolce Villa for around 40 Euros. It's cheap because it's quite far from the city centre with a bus and a metro the cheapest way in. Or Uber. It's about 10 minutes from the airport by taxi - although the taxi was more expensive so I would get an Uber if I landed in Prague Airport again. The rooms are large and clean but the wifi was quite bad at times. The pillows are the worst I've experienced in a while with just clumps of random stuffing leading to a restless sleep. Room temperatures during the night swung from too hot to too cold. Wouldn't like to stay there during hot weather. There was a weird sound like a dying elephant every day in the morning and night time. We never found out what it was; sounded like machinery. We thought it might be the bowling alley in the basement or elevator but it wasn't. Strange. The burger bar in the basement is quite good and there is a small store down the street to get snacks (Czech beer) and stuff. The receptionists didn't lift their heads any time we walking in or out of the hotel with the check in and out process done with minimal conversation. There's no way I would stay here again if I was there as a tourist due to the distance from the town.
4.57km from SplendidoStayed at the Art hotel in December and enjoyed our stay. The receptionist at check in was very helpful despite us arriving late at night. The room was large and spacious and the bed very big. It came with 2 large single duvets rather than 1 big one which we quite enjoyed! The room itself was very clean and maintained well throughout our stay and came with everything required, TV, safe, fridge, body lotion, robes etc. There was an AC unit that we couldn't get to work but given it was cold had no intention of using. The bathroom was nice and big but the shower was mounted about a third of the way up the wall so you had to hold it and couldn't stand underneath it, there was also no shower curtain but that's really the only fault we can pick! Breakfast was very basic, a selection of fruit, yoghurt, cereals and bread and a couple of hot items - sausage and egg. We didn't particularly enjoy the breakfast but it saved us money buying elsewhere and filled a hole till lunch! The hotel is located a 5 minute(max) walk from tram links to everywhere you'd want to go, including back towards the airport(need to change to a bus at the end of the tram line but they're both very frequent). We bought a 3 day public transport pass for 310czk. Overall the Art Hotel was a very good choice at a decent price and good location. Would recommend to anyone visiting Prague, especially couples that don't like sharing duvets!
4.83km from SplendidoIt would not be fair to say that the place is not good - trams to Down town are in front of the hotel, Old town is only few minutes walk away and the breakfast is OK as well. But, what would make JD a more pleasant place to stay is: - AC in the rooms (they say it is not allowed to install it because "the house is old", although the breakfast area is under AC, hmm...) - house keeping should pay more attention to the quality control (tooth paste remainings in the bathroom are easy to spot, right? Then, a visible dust on the night drawer and around TV, etc.) - some windows soundproofing on the street side would be a smart move, because the "Czech Nightriders" or police sirens will wake you up before dawn if you keep the windows open for a fresh air (it is a lovely neighbourhood with lot of parks). - dry cleaning service prices could be more realistic, because 160CZK is way too much for a single polo shirt (you can have 5 shirts and a sack of underwear cleaned for 200 in the town) If you are looking for the stay with more client oriented staff who are willing to share more "what to do/see" information about their city and in general, smile more than just be correct in terms of providing bed and food, than you should book smtng else. Otherwise, JD is not a bad option. At the end, we appreciate the room change to the more quiet one.
4.92km from SplendidoWe stayed here for a couple of nights prior to a cycling tour, so secure bike storage and easy access to the riverside path were the key points. But it was surprisingly easy to access the city centre using Prague's brilliant tram and metro system so, although it might look a bit out of the way for a city break, it would work for that too. Not that there's much to see in the immediate vicinity, so you do need to make use of the public transport. However, perfectly reasonable rooms, decent breakfast and a useful late bar for that final drink after an evening out make the Expo worth considering.
5.05km from SplendidoWe decided that a hotel in town would not be for us, so Residence Vysta certainly ticked the boxes location-wise. Across the river from the old town, it was much more peaceful but very close to the tram stop or Nadrazi Holesovice metro station. As it was so cheap to travel on public transport there was no point in antagonising the teenagers by suggesting we walk into town - though it wouldn't have taken long at all. We had a two room apartment so the said teenagers could have their own space (and it would mean we didn't have to see them constantly on their phones) and this worked really well for us. Both rooms in the apartment were air conditioned and the kitchenette area had a fridge so cool drinks were always at the ready. There were also two bathrooms in the apartment so we could quite happily pretend the teens weren't even there. And the all important Wi-Fi worked no problem - no fear of a teen revolt. The apartment was on the 4th floor of the hotel - lovely building with a lift - and was so peaceful that we heard nothing of any traffic. Breakfast was a very comprehensive continental choice; there was something for everyone and we were never struggling for a seat, even at busy times. The staff at reception were superb and thankfully spoke perfect English. Nothing was too much trouble and they were even able to help us print out the tickets for our river cruise. We're planning on coming back to Prague next year and will definitely be checking out Residence Vysta for dates.
5.05km from SplendidoI was genuinely surprised by the very big and spacious apartment that had three separate rooms – bedroom, huge living room and a kitchen equipped for all your daily needs, including cooking utensils, oven, fridge, dishwasher, ironing stuff, washing machine, etc. I slept in a generously-sized and very comfortable bed in a spacious bedroom with darkening expensive drapes hanging from the top of the ceiling to the bottom so when I shut them completely, there was absolute dark in the room – really good for sleeping. The bed had 6 various-sized pillows, long blankets and a few extra in the wardrobe – really generous. The living room came with comfortable chairs, table, 2 sofas, easy to use TV set, central heating, and huge windows providing lots of daylight. I could hear no noise from outside when the windows were closed, really neat! Everything, including the bathroom with a toilet, was nice and clean. Both check-in and check-out were easy and quick, the staff was friendly and spoke fluent English.
5.11km from SplendidoLovely hotel and in a great location with a tran stop nearby, 6&17 go there. Reception staff keep the key when you go out but they are there all the time,They dont speak the best English but enough to get by and they do try their best. Breakfast was okay, something for everyone not everything was for me but they had toast, cereal and fruit.. only cold drinks was water or orange juice, lady in the breakfast room wasn't the friendliest, didn't do anything horrible just felt uneasy, we were the only english there perhaps she was intrigued by us.. Rooms were big and comfy and warm, internet wasn't the best but it was available. We had a great holiday and loved the hotel
5.15km from Splendidowe stayed at Hoffmeister Hotel from Dec 27 - Jan 3. I would like to thank the staff for their amazing service, kindness and hospitality. a special thanx to Ivana who made sure that me, Mom and sister are satisfied. Your service orientation is beyond mentioned and your personality and kindness were incredible, thank you! I Also would like to Thank Hamada who was so kind with us and made us feel like we’re home. He always smiled and made sure we’re alright. Breakfast was delicious, the room was clean, the service was excellent and the big NYE was amazing, we had a great time, we enjoyed the beautiful decorations, delicious food, live band and fireworks. The Hotel is close to everything by 10-15 minutes walking. The only thing I can note is that it would’ve been preferable if the Lobby was bigger than it is right now. Instead of sitting in the Lobby- the guests sat in the restaurant which wasn’t convenient But- maybe it’s the concept of the Hotel. In any case- we had a really good time at your Hotel. Thank you again! I would definitely recommend your Hotel! Eileen

This hotel is located on the edge of Prague's Old Town. It takes 20 minutes to walk to Prague Square, which is a long way. Uber is recommended (Uber in Czech is very convenient and cheap). The hotel facilities are a bit old and had to be renovated about 5-8 years ago. The lobby downstairs is very bright, the afternoon tea in the lobby bar is delicious, and there is a small casino on the ground floor (Prague has many such small casinos, this is considered regular). There is a small shopping mall downstairs and a supermarket inside (not 24 hours, it closes at about 20:00)
My husband booked this as a surprise 18th Wedding Anniversary get away. The hotel is beautiful. Comfortable and immaculately clean. A stone's throw from the metro which was so easy to navigate. We went all over. The Architecture is just stunning. We were lucky with the weather....not too cold, but all courtyard bars have blankets to snuggle under with heaters. Be prepared to walk alot if sightseeing is your thing. And no high heels. All the streets and roads are cobbled. Food and drink are so cheap and the beer is crazy cheap. We lived our time away. The breakfast was a huge selection. And although there isn't tea or coffee making in the rooms, it's available all around the hotel complimentary. We loved the little linen bag you hang out every day for a little surprise. Easy check in and out. Definately recommend.
We just got back from our 7-day trip to Prague and we had the best hotel experience staying at Park Inn Hotel. The whole staff was very kind and available for any request 24/7. Our room was gorgeous, extremely spacious and cozy, with two walls covered in large windows that faced the Moldava River and the streets of Prague. The bathroom had both a shower and a bathtub, which was very comfortable since I prefer long hot baths and my boyfriend takes quick showers. Moreover we had three different Dove hand-body wash/shampoo dispensers that were free to use. The cleaning service works everyday, but I noticed a few problems, like some dirt on the carpet in a corner behind the entrance door and two or three rose petals under our bed on our very first day (maybe because it was February 15th and we checked-in earlier than we were supposed to, so the cleaning lady didn't have enough time to and they also offer laundry service. There's a restaurant on the ground floor where we had breakfast everyday, and it serves a vast range of dishes and beverages (eggs, bacon, sausages, baked beans, cheese, potato pancakes, butter, bread, pastries, jams, cereal, milk, smoothies, all kinds of coffee and tea and so much more). The restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner, but the prices are a lot higher than in a local restaurant in the city, so we didn't try it. The hotel is 4 minutes away from two different tram stops (Vytón [where there's also a ticket machine with a card reader in case you don't have any change] and Albertov) and just 300mt away from a tiny supermarket named Tesco for any groceries necessity.
The hotel is modern, clean, and quiet. It has a bar, restaurant and room service. I can recommend the breakfast, it is deluxe of the variations of food. Staff are friendly and helpful, and accommodating. The room is a standard modern hotel room, but offers a table with chairs. We had twin beds as friends traveling, but I slept so comfortable. The room was nice and warm. The bathroom offers complimentary soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, as well as shower cap, shoe polish, and cotton buds. The towels are thick but standard. No facial cloths. It has a safe for your travel documents and valuables. Wifi is available. Remember (mainland) European charger for the plugs. The hotel is in walking distance to the city centre, so we only paid an Uber to go to the castle grounds, but really you can walk to that too. There is so many things to do in Prague, but we stayed a long weekend and it was ok, but we would like to return someday, and in particular to stay at this fab hotel! The hotel was mainly young couples but I guess it was due to Valentines. I did notice a few people who appeared to be on their own for business, so you can indeed go solo. I would like to give the staff and hotel my best recommendations.
I am a frequent traveler to the Czech Republic, so I am frequently coming and going through Prague. I have stayed at many hotels in Prague ... and The Emblem is absolutely the best. I stay nowhere else now. #1 ... is the SERVICE. Absolutely stellar staff ... Erika, Teresa, et. al. have gone over the top many times to make my visit the best. #2 ... LOCATION. Right near Old Town Square ... near Charles Bridge ... near the trams. Perfect location. #3 ... SPA ... massage ... fitness .... #4 ... FOOD ... the attached Michelin-star'd dining restaraunt is spectacular. I recommend The Emblem ...without reservation. It is the best.
