Hotel next to Bugis MRT, good location easily access to City Hall, Orchard, shopping malls and eateries. Various food and restaurants within walking distance; Japanese, western, Chinese and fusion restaurants. Spacious hotel room, comfortable bed and nice ambiance, a good staycation to relax mind and body + soul! Breakfast is great, you can choose local foods from western, indian to Chinese. Waiters are approachable and helpful, always with a smiley face. We have a hearty breakfast and enjoy the serenity moment early in the morning. We had sumptuous dinner at Josh's Grill (Bugis Junction) and the food is great.

The Bluewaters Pods @ Bugis provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Bluewaters Pods @ Bugis offers a pleasant stay in Singapore for those traveling for business or leisure. Guests will find Fight Comic - SIngapore, DrSpa and Haji Lane just a short distance from the hotel. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings.

We are asked to move to populous hotel due to some change of ownership. I ask for a free upgrade but was rejected eventhough I explain is my friend birthday. If they can be more flexi on the arrangement, i might book again. The wall is very thin and we are so lucky that our next door neighbor is noisy. They on their TV quite loudly the night and only decided to switch it off at 6.30am and switch it on again at 9.30am. There are plug beside the bed, so we can charge the phone anytime. Toilet is also very small, think huge people won't be able to squeeze in to the cubicle. Overall location is good, service staff not so friendly, room is small but clean. Good to have a short staycation with couple or friend.

As a solo staycay-er, I pleasantly felt safe in this hotel (apart from someone knocking and tried to open my room door a couple of times on my 2nd night there). I chose this hotel because of how easy it was to get my favourite food just mere distance away. Staffs were very friendly and always ready to help. Room is relatively clean when I checked in although there was a wrapper under the sink. TV is great, alot of channels to choose from but mostly used screen mirroring from phone. Can't wait to go back here again during my next holiday!

Overall the stay was fairly good, but it was a bit of a rollercoaster. When my family and I first checked in, we were told that it was cash-only deposit. This was upsetting as there wasn't an email sent in advanced informing me of needing a deposit. Furthermore, the nearest atm was quite a bit of distance from the hotel. The receptionist in particular was very standoff-ish and lacked in hospitality. When enquiring, the receptionist did not bother to make eye contact when replying and gave off an unfriendly demeanor throughout. Luckily the receptionist changed shift in the evening, and the one who took over was a lot more accommodating and friendly. The room had nice flowery scent and everything looked neat surprisingly spacious for a budget family room (4pax). There was a bit of problem with the spray (bidet) because the water wouldn't stop coming out unless you turn the knob off completely but it's a minor issue. Sadly there was only one available socket to plug in beside the bed and it was already occupied with a bedlight. Wish there could have been more. The TV was HD quality and easy to navigate. The bed is comfortable and the bath towels given were slightly warm 🤍. Overall it was a good stay; could have been better if the hotel staff service was adequate from the start.

Was given a room with spoilt light. So had to change room. The second room was a little better in terms of space, but the fridge was spoilt. Totally not cold at all. First room had 4 pillows while Second room only had 2 pillows which is abit too low for my liking, not sure why is there a difference tho. Some toiletries wasnt topped up too, since the room was being rushed out to exchange for my first room . But we were too tired by then, so didnt bother calling the hotel to ask for it. Overall, the good part is just the location. The rest is just average.

I first stayed at the SEA Hotel back in 2014 as it was recommended by my aunt and uncle who always stay here when in Singapore. I love the place. It’s old and rustic (a throwback to another time) but for $100 SGD a night with a fabulous vegetarian buffet breakfast included (Kwan Im restaurant) and prime location in Bugis you couldn’t ask for anything more. Also when booking the staff are excellent in replying to queries and give very detailed information about getting to the hotel and airport transport options and nearby attractions. Free wifi was included and it was fast and reliable. The staff on the front desk were friendly especially the girl who checked me in. Bugis+ shopping mall (10 levels with cinemas, food/retail options galore and taxi rank) is less than 5 mins walk. I use this as a taxi pick up/drop off point to various attractions from the hotel. Bugis MRT Station is 5-10 mins walk and is on the airport line (10th station from the airport, with 1 change at Tanah Merah, cost only SGD 2.50) The Kwan Im Temple is right next door and worth checking out (it gets very busy with local worshippers). Directly outside is a pedestrian mall with a flurry of activity with market stalls and street vendors. The hotel is simple and rooms unadorned with only the basics but it’s all there and excellent value for money. They do request you leave your key if you go out and recollect (24 hour reception) but I conveniently forgot to do this most of the time and it was never a problem. Oh and don’t even think about bringing durians to the hotel!

The room may be small but it has every basic thing you need. I forgot to take any pictures of the room.. Pros - 10mins walk from Bugis. So obviously food, cafes and entertainment are all within walking distance - A big 7-11 is just right next to it. Bras Basah & Shine Korea is opposite it - The Hotel is above a cafe. So if you're feeling lazy to go out for food, you can just go down and eat or call room service and get discounts for some items since you're a hotel guest. - Shampoo and Body Soap are provided in full sized bottles instead of the mini ones which is always a plus for me. - Can also rent the Projector Lights to make your room even nicer at nights Cons - The entrance is through a cafe. So it can be quite awkward to enter or exit the hotel especially during peak hours cause you're walking past people who are sitting down and eating. - The room is not soundproof so you can hear conversations or noises outside or from other rooms Overall, we enjoyed our 3 nights stay. It’s better to find a taxi, and there are more bars around. Suitable for transit, we only stayed for one night. As a result, the room was a bit noisy on the street. At 3 o'clock in the middle of the night, we could still hear KTV singing on the street. The only thing worth recommending is that there are multiple beds and three people can stay.

It was the most relaxing staycation I’ve ever had! Check-in was smooth and they even served us iced tea and cooling towels. The rooms were massive and I love the decor! The food was absolutely delicious from Bedrock Origin! Don’t get me started on the spa which absolutely relaxing and luxurious. Everything here was different from what you get from most hotels that I’ve stayed in Singapore. There’s lots to do within the resort with free wellness activities from Aqua Zumba, Tai-chi, Bath Bomb making, yoga and many more! Definitely a stand out is that the hotel staff were extremely professional, helpful and really went the extra mile.

The hotel is being renovated so facilities like swimming pool is unavailable. There is a makeshift gym I tried which cannot compare to the original set up. The previous gym was huge and well equipped; I hope after the renovation the gym will be just as good. Room size was decent and clean. Love the monogram tea provided and even the mini bar was complimentary which I find was a nice touch. Overall a very enjoyable stay and hope to come back again soon!

We just loved the boutique and high class feel of the hostel whilst it also maintained that communal feel which we love too. The rooms were really comfortable and the mattresses perfect for us. The pods had great curtains which blocked out light and added privacy whilst staying in a shared room. Also loved the touches like two sets of lights one brighter and one a bit dimmer as well as the plug and slippers too. Location was ideal for exploring the city being a short walk from public transport, varied places to eat, a 7/11 below and not far to walk to the marina too.

Pros: Good location. Reasonable price. Check-in was efficient. Water provided. Free Wifi. Generally clean. Cons: Very small room and the space isn't utilized well, layout of room is poorly done as it makes the room feel even smaller. Bed is arranged such that one side of the bed is flush against the wall, bed partner needs to climb over me to get out of the bed - dangerous. No place to hang clothes. Bathroom is so small and there's no partition between the shower and the cistern, so the entire bathroom gets wet when showering. Sink is outside the bathroom hence the room floor gets wet. No fridge. No cupboard. Barely any table/counter space to put belongings. No room service unless you request for it at reception! Service is alright - not rude, but doesn't seem sincere.

I arrived at Hotel about 03:35 AM. It was the time that all the people are sleeping. I was a little bit confused about my check-in because when I arrived at the counter he didn't ask me about my check in information. He just only asked me that I was paid or not and I said I've paid already then he showed me my room without asking to show my passport or check in information. Did he know me that I'm the girl who booked at 19th and arrived at 20th?? Maybe!!!🧐🧐 Never mind! The room is very fantastic and comfortable. I felt like I was in an spaceship🚀😅🥰. Since I was travel alone in Singapore I was afraid of sleeping at room alone. But the hotel is very safe .I really loved this place and next time when I come to Singapore, I promised that I'll book this hotel again ❤❤❤❤❤

We were a group of 12 and opted to stay in this hostel booking the whole 12 beds room, which we were very glad to have as it was the room at the top floor of the hostel, meaning the less noisy and more isolated one from the rest of the chaos. Let's start with the room: we had bunk beds with everything you may need: sheets, pillows, curtains to close them at night (great stuff for privacy this!) and personal lockers (you need to bring your own padlock). In the 12 beds room there was a private bathroom too with 2 toilets and a shower, which was very handy as it gave us some privacy. There are also more showers and toilets in the other floors that we could use. Breakfast was provided in a weird way: the first night we arrived we noticed a big plastic box in the room. The surprise was they have left us "the breakfast" for the following 2 days in there, which consisted of bread, jam, tea and coffee. Not what we expected, but it did the job. And now let's move to the worse bit of the hostel: the common areas. There is way too much people hosted in the hostel for the size of the common living space they have. The kitchen is tiny, and there is a sofa at the entrance that is always busy and with lots of people sleeping on it, so you can't really use it. The people staying in the common areas (not sure if they were guests of the hostel or not) was a bit peculiar, so we were glad to have our own space. The front desk is not very friendly but the check-in and out was smooth and easy (beware check-in is not allowed before 3pm). Overall it's a very basic hostel but the location is good.

Was given room 1313 initially and decided to change to another room cos I went with my elderly mother, who is abit pangtang about the number. Was given 0819. Was told by staff there’s no other higher floor room. We said ok but upon entering, there was a gas smell. Cleaning staff from hotel said the rooms on this side of the hotel had not been used for a long time, therefore maybe the smell. Went down to lobby to change room and was given 1616 by another front counter staff. Room was ok but maybe shower area abit small for someone who might be bigger sized. Bkfast was buffet style, so u tick on the menu and a staff will go collect for u. Variety not a lot though. On second day, we decided to ‘tabao’ back to room to eat. We requested to separate the nasi lemak from fried noodles as we don’t want them to lump everything into the box. Upon hearing this, one of the non Chinese staff seem displeased and hinted we are supposed to dine in. When we went back to the room, we realised that they forgot some items and we went dwn again. Happen to see the same staff (who was with another Chinese colleague). I told the staff politely that they might have overlooked packing some items. She jz stared at me while her colleague apologised. I said it’s ok, I will just re-tick the menu list. Whilst doing so, that same staff brought back my earlier menu. I then highlighted what was missing and she went off ( I assume to pick up the missing items). In the end, it was the Chinese colleague who passed me the missing items, apologising again for the oversight. So, plus point for this Chinese lady and minus point for the other one ( who gave the vibes of being ‘buay song’ (displeased attitude). Managed to get late check out at 1pm on the last day. So overall, guess stay was ok.

As an Ascott group member, there are decent expectations of an Ascott experience in all the properties in which I had once stayed (Ascott, Somerset, Citadines). Citadines Rocher (recently opened in 2020) was one of my top choices in having a local staycation because of its location and price range. However, it was an overall disappointing experience, and here’s why: 1. No daily housekeeping service 2. Our bathroom door could not close. It was completely off the ledge. 3. Reception is busy all the time. Phone calls are often not answered 4. This hotel was most probably a designated hotel used for both Malaysian citizens who were unable to return home due to locked borders, as well as returning Singaporeans to serve their mandatory 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN). There were confirmed COVID-19 cases within my period of stay. We were notified by a letter from the management. The least the management could do was to provide a mask or sanitizers to guests. We also chanced upon 2 medical workers fully donned in PPE escorted a guest to the ambulance. Scary stuff. 5. We took our own trash out of the room since day 1 of check-in. It was not cleared even upon checking out. Dear Citadines Rocher, please review your services. I had absolute faith and would like to continue giving my support to Ascott despite this awful stay.

The location of this hotel is definitely not as accessible as all other hotels I went before. It is only easier if you go via car for the first time. Subsequently when you explore the area a bit more, then you can try the path via the UBS building itself. This information perhaps should be made known on the hotel's website. In terms of cleanliness, one of the cups in my room was not washed cleanly. I can see the lipstick mark of a previous user, with some coffee dripping down that lip mark. Had to manually wash it. I would have been more prepared if I brought some detergent along. In terms of service, you must know that they do not provide additional towels for you, even upon request. You can only go and exchange with what you already have. Example, if you need an extra towel to wrap your hair, it is not possible. One room, if 2 pax, they will only give u 2 towels and one floor carpet. I think this is not a good point. The cafe lodge is nicely decorated, just that food have to wait at least 30mins, even if it is a simple set. And not all food are available. But can just chitchat while waiting, or maybe next time just order in advance. The good thing is that at least there is no insect in the room and bed sheets are pretty clean.

They have tissue box, safe, flask & coffee/tea. WiFi connection is good so can surf Internet / Facebook. Big space in front of bed so can put big luggage. Bed is King/ Queen type. Have small chairs and table. Bigger TV. Near to lift. Security here is better as guests can enter by tapping with key card. Cons: Fridge is mouldy. Not sure when it was last cleaned. 😅 At night, music from pubs nearby can be heard. (I booked 2 room types - XLtwin & balcony). Please note that $100 deposit is required.

Front desk offered free breakfast throughout the stay as there was no available room for a switch. Breakfast was provided for by Kith Cafe and was delicious. The kitchen was fully functional, and we utilised it, even the washing machine and dishwasher. Air conditioning system was a bit faulty so the bedroom was quite warm. The bed was one of the most comfortable we've ever slept in. Extra pillows were provided as well. The bathroom was huge with a large shower area (rainfall) and luxury toiletries. Service was awesome and staff members would always greet us. Pool was beautiful though there were only 2 sunbeds. Had an enjoyable stay!

I just loved this hostel. I read the great reviews of this place and booked to stay for 3 nights. As this was my first hostel stay, I was a little skeptic. This is the reason I booked this hostel for only 3 nights out of the 5 that I was in Singapore. My experience- Staff was extremely helpful, when I checked in I asked the kind lady on the counter for veg restaurant suggestions, she looked up Google and wrote me a list of 5 nearby places. I was early and requested for early check in but unfortunately no room was available and I had to wait but that was ok because my overall experience was great. Room/bed- I am not sure if this is the general case but my roommates were very polite and didn't disturb when someone was sleeping in the room, I reciprocated this gesture. It was so quiet and cozy that I slept like a baby. Washrooms- there were plenty and separate for men and women. I never had to wait in line, there was hair dryer and it was clean overall. Breakfast- there was one freshly made dish like fried rice and cornflake cereals, milk, bread, butter, Nutella, jam etc available. it was all great. Location- hostel was very near to Chinatown as well as mrt(which is in Chinatown) Chinatown is a great location for shopping btw. hostel had mainly Chinese ppl because of the location and I am not Chinese ,so I really like this , after all, you want to meet ppl from different backgrounds when traveling alone. Staff- staff was so polite and helpful. Linda, Daffany were such sweet people.. There was another girl I forgot her name. Thanks to them for my great experience. I highly recommend this place. I also stayed in space capsule pod for next 2 nights and so I think I am in a good position to review this hostel in Singapore.
