I know I am not small, but I am no giant either. However, I simply did not fit into this hotel and its furniture. Everything seemed to be made for dwarfs, yet the setting was far from being a Snow White fairy tale. I had trouble getting out of chairs (both in the room and public areas) and the bed, because they were so low, my feet hung over the bed, and when I stood at the bathroom sink, my wife remarked that it looked as if I were at a urinal. Other problematic issues include: an uninformed front desk staff that could not make dinner recommendations for after 9pm (which is when the hotel restaurant closes, even on a weekend) - even if it included driving to a nearby town, a shower with virtually no water pressure but temperatures varying from icebox to the-kettle-is-boiling. Breakfast was less than satisfactory, too. For a four-star hotel, both the quality of the ingredients as well as the presentation left a lot to be desired. The coffee was so weak that one wonders if the proprietors are simply being too cheap to pay for actual coffee beans. The only saving grace may be the hotel's pool, which was okay. Okay. However, at the end of the day, we felt that our stay there was not worth the price tag. The hotel's saving grace was probably its swimming

We stayed here for 1 night last week, on our way home after holidays in Austria. We are so glad we chose this place!! Everything was perfect! We booked a room just two hours before we arrived. The owners came to the hotel in the evening and gave us a warm welcome, they are super friendly. We had a beautiful room with a nice view over Bad Liebenzell. Good bed and shower, the bathroom looked just new. Everything was very clean. Beer, wine, a bottle of water and a snack were offered for free! But the best thing about this place was the breakfast. That’s why we booked, we like to eat healthy fresh food and after reading other reviews we were looking forward to the breakfast. And wow, we had the best breakfast we ever had in a hotel! Everything was fresh! A lot of homemade things like bread/crackers, cake, jam etc. All kinds of delicious cheeses, fresh vegetables and fruitsalad, even fresh salmon!! Usually we always go to a different place, but if we ever go to Austria or Italy again in the future and we need a nice place to stay for the night, we will go to Aparthotel Hochwald again!

Last year we dined at the Kronen and it was a poor experience. I suggested after refurbishing the establishment they should look to the Staff. This year we went for early evening drinks on a Sunday and the verandah overlooking the River Nagold was nearly full - with Hotel guests and locals - a good sign. Service was excellent with a young waiter who was friendly, efficient and spoke good English. Further more he even seemed to enjoy his work. The Durbacher Spatburgunder (Spatburgunder being my choice of local wines this season) was very good with none of the over oaked tanins found so often in French Reds. Staufenberg Reisling Trocken was as dry as it comes in these parts - Schwabia does not really do dry whites. A local peculiarity is the pinkish Weissherbst which is not a Rose nor a white, nor is it to everyone's taste but some like it. As ever the local Baden Wurtenburg wines are well worth trying. Good wines and good Service, might even try the Restaurant again some time. We wined early evening Sunday 19 August.

This hotel is the perfect place to stay while visiting Pforzheim. Once you can figure out where the front entrance is you are greeted by very friendly staff. We had early check in so when we arrived at 11:30am our beautiful room was ready for us. Overlooking the canal and bridge the view was lovely. The rooms are spotless and the bed very comfortable and the shower is great and there is a bidet if you were wondering. Breakfast is over the top delicious and there is an industrial size orange juice squeezer so you can have as much vitamin C as you want. Great hotel, this is what put Pforzheim on the map.

I spent one night in this hotel during my stopover in Stuttgart on the way home. The hotel is located relatively far from the city centre and not directly in the vicinity of the airport. Anyway it's only a 15 minutes ride on the S-Bahn from airport to the hotel and 3 minutes walking from the railway station. The location is relatively calm, although behind the hotel there is a highway. So if you want absolutely silent night ask for a room on the opposite to the highway side. The rooms are clean, cosy and nice, there is also an electric kettle and a set of tea and coffee. The bathroom is equipped with a bath tube, so you may relax after the flight. Breakfast is very standard and usual for hotels of this class. There is a variety of salads, cheese, sausages, eggs, fruit, fish, juice, hot drinks. Be ready to spend about an hour getting to the city centre (Central station)

We just returned from our weekend visit to the V8 Hotel and to say the experience surpassed expectations is an understatement. We took our son as a surprise trip for his 13th Birthday and he was so excited to see we were not only visiting MotorWorld but we were staying at the V8 Hotel. What a treat for him! We reserved the garage room and it was fantastic, spacious with plenty of room for a family of 3 plus great views (inside and outside). The hotel is super clean with attention to detail, the room had enough storage for all of us, many restaurants on-site or within walking distance but what really makes the difference Max the whole experience awesome is their customer service. Everyone was so polite and caring. They gave us recommendations that we followed and they were right on point. From the moment you arrive at the hotel you’ll be thrilled to see the massive collection of cars old and new available to you. You can go for a flight or drive simulator if you have the time only a few steps away. The museum entrances were included in our rate as well as breakfast. Food was very good to start our day with omelets made to order and a vast selection of cold cuts, artisan breads, yogurts, granolas, fruits & pastries. Thank you for a memorable birthday. We are looking forward to our return.
