Recently spent two weeks with my husband and two teenage boys travelling around Germany. All of the accommodations we stayed in were great except for this one. The location is terrible. 3 km from city centre which equates to a €15-18 taxi ride each way. Admittedly I should have noticed the location when i booked. Hotel itself is ok. Rooms were clean and stylish but the walls are paper thin and you can hear people in the hallway as if they were in the room, as well as when someone is in the bathroom (not pleasant). The hotel advertises that they offer air conditioning but it is terrible. We complained and someone came to look at it and said the room should start to cool down in 10 minutes. 2 hours later it was even hotter so we complained again and maintenance guy came and said the exact same thing. He told us the room would take longer to cool down because we had two people in it plus the TV on - seriously? Kept saying “I can’t guarantee how long it will take to cool down”. Maintenance guy was very rude and would not listen to a word we said. I asked if we could be moved to another room and he said they would all be the same. We waited another hour and the temperature continued to rise (system clearly not working) and decided to leave. As I had pre-booked they would not refund the rooms so this was an expensive mistake. When leaving the fellow at the front desk offered to move us to a different room but we were done. Booked into the Crowne Plaza instead and had a way better experience - yes, an older hotel but staff way more pleasant and A/C worked.

We stayed labor day weekend of Sunday September 2nd to September 3rd Monday 2018. First time to Heidelberg and its a beautiful city we just stayed a night at seven days boardinghouse hotel. I was a little skeptical about the name especially being a boardinghouse I thought about a boarding school 😬. It’s far from that, had an issue with booking called and got it situated the same day we arrived. Warning the hotel is nestled in the industrial warehouse district so its easily hidden and is attached to a barber store called Oswalds which is visible first. Parking is 10€ a day not much parking up front did not park in garage but not much visitors so wasn’t problem. The atmosphere was nice and quiet across from check in was another building which was the hotel’s restaurant. The reception had free breaded cakes, donuts and croissants for guests every day. The hotel is pretty modern key cards were waved in front of sensor to unlock and placed in slot to use electricity in room once inside. We had a studio with balcony on the 3rd floor. Very quiet except for maybe the train that ran during the hours but no biggie we enjoyed it very clean and accommodating. The downsides were the bed and not having a/c which I’m getting used to living in Germany I wasn’t very comfortable my wife said she enjoyed, it was a bit stiff for me. I didn’t really use internet as I had LTE so couldn’t say much on that. The room was secure we felt safe Minibar, ambient lighting, silverware and cutlery for cooking and eating, microwave, mini fridge, etc. no a/c though it was cool that night. Everything was great breakfast was I believe 10-12€ per person we did not eat breakfast though we will return also there’s a movie theater in walking distance on same street along with a nice restaurant. Definitely worth checking out if ever in Heidelberg contemporary and modern rooms are styled.

We stayed with my family over two nights and from the moment we stepped in we were greeted with a long face. Nobody speaks english or even the basic, nothing is provided in terms of information. When we asked a very angry lady if they have any guides she said to me only in german. This is clearly a pass -through motel for local people with the very basic facilities. We had a disabled room with a high toilet seat and a flat surface floor for a shower which meant all the water run out. (We are not disabled.)The sheets were damp and the mattress very hard. There was no coffee or tea facilities not even a kettle in the room. For a 4 * claiming hotel this is not right. The breakfast is 14 euros and very average - not worth it. They charge you for a simple half a cup of coffee too. Nobody cares about customer service. The parking is expensive and if you want to leave it outside there are road works and the hotel is situated opposite a building site so the rooms are facing road and diggers and excavators but the windows are quite good in terms of insulation, still its not quiet. We had asked for a quiet room and they didn't seem to care. The ladies at the reception were particularly not bothered and they only spent time talking to those in German. We scratched our car coming out of the tiny narrow turn that is called the entrance to the back garden with space for 4 cars. To top it all, the place is in the middle of a not so good residential area and to go into the town you need 20 minutes by tram at a cost of 12 euros each time. Heidelberg was our last stop after a 10 beautiful city tour of Europe and we must say it is a very unwelcoming place especially to english speaking tourists. No books or tourist maps or anything in English so if you want to learn the history of the castle you'll have to buy German or Japanese books. Overall, I'd avoid going there as a stopover and would choose a better hotel and a better, friendlier place as a pass through. Ps. and they don't really clean your room, they just fluff about your duvet and pillows. They didn't even say goodbye to us and we were all polite, but they didn't even reply.

Big room, very clean. They cleaned the room every day and replaced the towels. About a 10-15 minute car ride to the centre of town, around €18 one way by taxi. Around the corner is a supermarket and a bakkery. The latter is also opened on Sunday, on time for breakfast. A little tip though: the adress is actually Im Entenlach 33 (Kranichweg is the adress of the hotel, not the appartments). Our navigation didnt work well but Google maps came to our rescue

Stayed In Ibis Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof for 3 nights of business trip to nearby town and it was definitely the right choice. Being located adjacent to Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof, Ibis gives easy access in reaching nearby areas. While it is not really in Heidelberg's historical city center, it's only a short 10 minutes tram ride from the center and its attractions. The Hauptbahnhof itself offers some options for eating so it's safe to say that finding some food will not be an issue. Check-in process was efficient in a nicely designed lobby. Although the lobby is a bit small, it was not a big issue as the nature of the hotel means people come and go at rather random time, depending of the train schedule. The room is as what you would expect from standard Ibis, a bit small, but clean and functional. It did seem that the rooms, as well as the overall hotel, has recently been renovated as it featured the latest Ibis design and bedding, which I personally liked. Breakfast is good albeit pretty standard, cold cuts, bacon, egg, etc. The breakfast room, serving also as a bar during the evening, is well designed and is my favorite part of the hotel. Overall I had great stay in Ibis Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof and would definitely be my first choice when I come back in the area.

Everything was very good! The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean. The breakfast was fresh and there was enough to chose from (fresh buns, eggs, cheese and meat, jam, yoghurt, fresh fruit and vegetables... as much fresh coffee as we wanted:-) The location was perfect for us: Close to the main station, so we could rest after the long train ride. Fifteen minutes walk into the old center (5 mins by tram). We would certainly book here again and recommend it to others.

Hotel was selected for proximity to railway station rather than city centre. The edge of the city centre is a good 20 minutes walk away, double that to the main square. Tram just around the corner covers the first part and it is possible to change to a bus for the rest. Receptionist on arrival not particularly friendly, but the regular receptionist was much better. Large room with desk and 2 comfortable chairs and free wifi. Hot but no air conditioning. Best shower of my trip. Water was strong and hot water was instant. All BBC and ITV channels on TV Good breakfast and nice coffee. Not much around the hotel, nearest restaurants probably at railway station. But you will want to spend your time in the city centre not around here.

Hotel is tucked away and therefor at first sight difficult to spot from the road (have street number ready when you come by car)! Good Covid regulation implementation. Although breakfast space is crowded and guests themselves reluctant to keep 1,5 metres distance! Rooms adequate and clean. Pity that the Parking fee is not free and € 25,00 for a night not in the middle of town is quite hefty. Nice restaurant (not belonging to the hotel) just outside this hotel!

My family and I stayed here for two nights. It is really value for money. 1. Location: It is not in central location. However, there is a tram station in front of the hotel. 2. Check-in & Check-out Since we arrived at around 8pm, the check-in was completed within 5 minutes. We just passed the keys at the reception during check-out. 3. Parking There is a paid-parking at the hotel. However, there are a few free parking spots in front of the hotel. Since it was full in front of the hotel, I parked in front of the B&B Hotel which is 10 minutes walking distance and it is free too. 4. Room The room is clean. Surprisingly, the room is air-conditioned. We did not expect this but it is really helpful during summer time now. 5. WiFi There is a free WiFi. However, the signal is not so strong at certain area of the room. 6. Foods There is an American foods restaurant in front of the hotel.

Breakfast is generally (18 euros), it is recommended to eat outside. The room is relatively large, the hotel has a parking lot, but it needs to pay, it is about ten euros a night, the parking lot payment equipment is broken, remember to pay at the hotel front desk! The location of the hotel is also very good, go right and turn right and then turn right for a few minutes to have two lieutenant halls: MR.ZHAO and Danasty, then turn right at the intersection to have a Shanghai restaurant. If you drive 20 kilometers by car, there is a very authentic Zhongliguan Danasty. Another hotel to the castle and the philosopher's path (on both sides of the river) are only two or three kilometers. It is not recommended to go at the same time, too tired. You can go to the castle in the morning, go back to the hotel to sleep for a while, go to the path of the philosopher at night and climb to the middle of the mountain, usually only ten o'clock. You can run along the river early in the morning. Self-driving also recommended a small village, small market (Marktpl. 11, 69469 Weinheim), our German colleagues took us (more than 20 kilometers from Heidelberg), where the house is many hundred years (the house is written on the front wall) Year of construction) There are not many tourists, turn around and find a squatting room to eat or drink something.

These are modern, clean and roomy suites in a new building. The showers are large space wise and attractive. Comfortable beds make for a very good night's sleep. There is a business center to provide assistance. For a reasonable fee of 8.50 Euros, a nice breakfast is provided downstairs. There is a small patio to eat or relax. Great value for the money. There is a washer and dryer available for a fee.

We were very impressed with the quality of this apartment and with the small detail the owner had put into to make sure that their guests will have a nice stay. The room is very modern and large and all the systems work perfectly. The location is also great as you can walk easily to every place, as far as the castle, with ease. The shopping center and shops are very nearby which makes it a perfect hub for shopping too. There is no staff for checking in, but you really don't need one as the key code access system works well and convenience. The apartment also has a reserved parking space for guest that make it so convenience. We highly recommend this place for all travelers, especially those with family.

That was my first start at this wonderful hotel and from the very first moment arriving, it has been special. The warm & personalized welcome upon check-in, the handwritten welcome card in the room by the GM/CEO of the hotel paired with some generous amenities. Walking the hallways of the hotel provides such wonderful flair and charm of a true grand hotel. Details like the flowers, artwork and luxury amenities in the room really do make an impact. I have had a series of virtual seminars to host and the >100 Mbps (!!!) wifi connection was phenomenal. Boardrooms with screen, enough chargers, daylight and this wonderful "grand flair", provided the perfect environment. Food was delicious too, both in the restaurant and bar/lobby area. Whilst the hotel is superb, it is the team that is so wonderful - always caring and highly professional! I will definitely be back and can recommend this amazing hotel to anyone, both on leisure or biz travel ✈

Nice bar with ideal location and good service with very comfy sitting area. The bar has a lot of different kinds of drinks and the food is also really tasty and delicious. The bartender faruk was really helpful and knew how to bring nice flavors to the drinks. From my experience I would totally recommend this restaurant to my friends. And will totally come here again.

The hostel is designed for backpackers and guests to meet each other, with a well equipped kitchen and common room filled with board games. There's also a free, simple breakfast of muesli and cornflakes with milk or oat milk. A coffee machine is also available, which was a nice touch. Unfortunately something seemed to have happened the morning I checked out because there were police all over the premises and in the main office when I handed in my key, and there was an ambulance waiting directly outside with medical staff talking. I have no idea what happened but hopefully no one was hurt. Despite the goings-on and the office filled with police officers, the staff member at checkout maintained her poise and was very professional and kind when I handed in my key, asking me how my stay had been and if there was anything lacking. I can't think of any cons to the hostel - although my stay was a short one, it was pleasant and the hostel is centrally located, right in the old town, next to the cathedral and the castle. The bathrooms were massive and well equipped, and there are lockers available.

I stayed in the deluxe room and I love the decorations which is very cozy and room is big enough for 2 persons. Location is very good, few steps to the old bridge and to the old town. Parking is limited and cost €25 each day. Please reserve in advance if you have a car. When I checked in the room, I found that the trash Is full of rubbish of last guest. Since there is no phone in the room and the time is a bit late, I made my complaint on the next day morning to the front desk, the guy seems doesn’t care and I even haven’t heard a sorry. The slipper is very thin which is only provided in a 3-star hotel. The bathroom has only waterfall shower but the shower area is too small and you have to switch off the water to put on your shampoo or shower gel. They provided almost full bathroom amenities but no replacement on the other day. Breakfast is good with ham, bread, yogurt, fruit and hot eggs. The breakfast is a bit over price @ €25 per person. Please slow down your pace as they will serve you cheese, muffin and croissant after 10-20 minutes they serve you the hot egg. You may be ready to leave or full. I stayed in a deluxe suite which is in other building and you have to put on winter clothes to go to the breakfast place. Check out experience is pleasant. The lady at the front desk was very nice and the guy in the parking area was also very helpful and offer us 2 bottles of water. In conclusion, the room is 5-star but the bathroom and housekeeping are only 3-star standard. If you expect a so-called “small luxury hotel”, you will be disappointed.

We’ll be leaving tomorrow after a two weeks’ stay. We booked a comfort room, which is like its name: large and cozy. A large queen size bed, large space for storing the things you need for a fortnight, including computers, clothes etc.; free WiFi, an ironing board and an iron in the room, washing machine in a special room. The towels are clean and are changed every day (one exception). A nice surprise: in the bathroom are products of the Dead Sea. The hotel is a few kilometers from Heidelberg but very calm, in spite of having all rooms (yesterday) occupied. The personnel is very helpful and friendly, the prices are quite moderate. We have been to hotels with lesser quality and much higher prices. One suggestion: make the glass wall separating the bath from the rest of the bathroom larger. As it is now, when you take a shower you cannot avoid splashing outside the bath. Also, there is no fan, so the bathroom gets very damp. We are looking forward to our stay next month at the Leonardo near the Frankfort airport. The restaurant: quite fine the first evening, when the normal menu (and probably the chef) was available. Don’t go when the small menu is at the tables: the cook is not even an amateur. But I’m reviewing the hotel and not the restaurant, therefore the 5 stars.
