Our apartment was really nice and finished to a high standard. Was totally spotless and just overall a great space! The location couldn’t be anymore central, so handy being close to everything. A little noise through the night but thats to be expected in a city centre. Really handy just having codes into the building and your room instead of keys. Option to leave luggage which was really useful when checkout was 11 but we’re travelling later in the day. Will definitely stay here again next time we’re in Glasgow!

Just back from a overnight stay and can’t believe the difference in a few years with Carlton George. We were so impressed on our last visit and so much has changed. I am genuinely not one for leaving negative reviews but I feel these need to be addressed as it definitely isn’t your usual Carlton George experience. We booked an executive room with lounge access. No issues with room. Comfortable bed and good shower. Mini bar and decanters. My partner had booked extras which was lovely when we arrived. Part of our package was 3 course meal in rooftop restaurant. The restaurant is lovely and amazing views over glasgow. When we arrived we were taken over to be seated and given menu ( which wasn’t the market menu that we had booked) We then waited about 15 mins to be asked if we wanted a drink. The restaurant only had 2 other tables of customers so wasn’t busy. There was around 4 staff all huddled around bar and could see we were waiting and the fact we were looking over no one seemed bothered. The waiter did eventually explain they were learning a new app to order which was fine but no attention was given to waiting customers. This seemed to be a running theme afterwards. The food was mediocre definitely not the quality we had before or what you are paying for. The lounge was self service. We couldn’t find the ice when we arrived. Behind the lounge is the kitchen and we could hear someone moving around. We asked if they could help us. The chef came out not happy and told us there the bell was ( I might add was not in an obvious place) extremely rude. There was no other staff member around to ask. The mixers were all 2 litre bottles that everyone was sharing. I found it a bit bizarre after pandemic they would have this. The snacks again were not really up to much. I’ve never had popcorn that wasn’t flavoured at all but they had it there. Even some plain crisps would have been better but these are little things. The final straw this morning was breakfast. Now we raved about breakfast to everyone last time we were here, it was outstanding. Also for an extra £5 you get it delivered to your room. The breakfast that arrived was abysmal. We went for Scottish breakfast. 2 potatoes scones, lorne slice tiny amount of beans, egg and no bacon. Turns out the chef forgot to put that on the plate. Toast was not toasted. All these things might not seem important to some people but I genuinely couldn’t fault anything on our last visit. i think a little more tlc is needed altogether. Mainly the customer service. Checking your customers aren’t waiting to long and they have everything they need, not snapping at customers who are asking for help, and maybe an extra member of staff in helping the chef plate up the food so it’s acceptable to the customer.

Firstly, there was a mix-up with the rooms on the first night. However, this was dealt with impeccably by the management. When we did get into our room (701), we found it to be perfect for our purposes. A perfectly proportioned, well-kitted top floor apartment with outstanding terrace views towards the south-side and over the city. Overall, the whole venue is a modernized, well-appointed building, which is perfect if you were wanting to treat your partner to a romantic stay. The presence of the Atlantic restaurant in the basement of the building is a further attraction. Scott and his team were very helpful and welcoming, and full marks to them for sorting out the initial hiccup with the booking. Mistakes occur in every aspect of life - it's how you address them which counts. Suffice to say, we would return.

We never actually stayed in the hotel, but I really loved the name, so popped in hoping we could have a drink at the bar. What a lovely place with a very lovely barman. Lucas made us the best cocktails ever, very knowledgeable, the cocktails were delicious.

I met my friend here for a drink as she was coming to Glasgow by train and this hotel is right next to the station. The foyer and bar are lovely, nicely decorated and a good place to meet up. There is also a conservatory area which overlooks George Square, also used for drinks and meals. Fine building.

Premier Inn Hotel Glasgow City Centre (Buchanan Galleries) is what its name suggests, smack dab in the middle of Glasgow. So if you want to get amongst the great nightlife, shopping, theatres and cinemas, you'll be right at the heart of the action. Spend the morning strolling through the Buchanan Galleries doing some window shopping. Then find a window for lunch before an afternoon watching some great sport at the Emirates Arena. There's still time to catch a band at the Hydro before coming back to the hotel for some tasty food at our Thyme restaurant and a great night's sleep in your comfy bed.

Perfect location surrounded by a lot of restaurants and pubs. A nearby bus stop to go to the airport. The room was not 100% clean and the furniture looked a bit old. Sometimes it was a bit noisy as you can hear clearly when others walked and talked in the hallway but I didn’t mind so much as the prices were very reasonable! I didn’t try the breakfast but the area looked very comfy!

Great location. Stayed here before. Staff are friendly but it's really let down in other areas. Our room was filthy. Bed was fresh but the desk was sticky, carpet looked like it hadn't been hoovered in weeks and when I went to plug in my phone beside the bed there was the remains of someone's peperami snack lying on the floor. Bathroom had a brown poo mark on the loo seat (which we cleaned!) And the loo floor was covered in long black hairs. I am platinum blonde and my friend has long dyed red hair... We told reception who offered to comp us breakfast but we had already paid for it so they just took the feedback. We asked for an iron and ironing board, and they were really pitiful appliances. They could do with an upgrade for sure. Oh and during breakfast the coffee machine was fully broken and was being taken apart...

We booked this hotel expressly for its convenience to Glasgow's bus and train stations in city centre. We stayed at Grasshoppers twice during the same month, as we were coming off a cruise in Dover, going north to the Highlands, then back to Glasgow, all without a car. The hotel did not disappoint in its location, comfortable accommodations, very good breakfast, and friendly helpful staff. We loved the welcome baked treats (and ice cream if you wished), tea/coffee in room, and quiet atmosphere. Its compact rooms were as advertised, so that was expected. We really liked the art along the corridors, and learned it is from the owner's private collection. Granted the street outside is not classy, but we felt perfectly safe there, and liked that guests must be buzzed in, or already know the door code; there is also a doorman or person at the entry desk. We used the Underground (St Enoch Station is only one block away) to visit the museums. There are lots of cafes, nearby. Another plus is that the Airport Express bus stop is only one block away on St. Vincent St; so even if it's raining, you're not exposed for long. Whenever I needed to email the hotel with questions or to amend a reservation, they replied quickly. Would definitely recommend.

I get what this hotel is trying to do, but it doesn't do it that well! I had good communication prior to my stay, a few texts reminding me. I liked the self check in screen, saves time. The room itself was supposed to be a 'queen' but it was extremely cramped, the bed was a small double at best and there was a weird single bunk bed over the double, which made the room feel so small and oppressive. Floor to ceiling windows in the bathroom were inconvenient. There was a door joining my room to the next which was less than ideal. The whole hotel was very noisy, you could hear doors opening and closing all over the place. There was a lot of noise coming from the room next door which was made worse by the door, as this let more noise in. The party eventually stopped about 3am. This wasn't just me, my colleague had to ask someone to come up and stop a party in the hallway at 1am and he was 2 floors up. No kettle, no water, pretty basic room. This would do for one night maximum IF there was nowhere else.

We chose to stay here as it was cheaper than staying in Glasgow Centre.. The rooms are standard premier inn rooms. The bed was comfortable, however, smaller than expected. For some reason, we had to ask for another set of towels that was only given one, even though the room was booked for 2 adults. The bathroom wasn't very clean, but useable There is no air-conditioning or lifts within the hotel..There is a table table restaurant next door. But keep your options open as there is also Costa, Starbucks, KFC, and McDonald's all within walking distance.. The closest station is a 10-minute walk away, which makes it easy access to both Dalmarnock for Celtic Park and Glasgow Central Station.. Cheap for overnight stay for football, would stay again.

The English breakfast was hearty and delicious. The hotel has complete facilities, elegant environment and high security. It is only a 5-minute walk from the university where my daughter is studying. There is a cafe downstairs, and afternoon tea is convenient.
