1.09km from St. Cyprian's SchoolFor our first visit to Cape Town we were recommended Dunkley House in the Gardens district. Pretty street with bougainvillea pouring over the garden walls and views of Table Mountain towering over the city. Very quiet street with easy pedestrian access to a convenient shopping centre nearby. A good Greek restaurant and a busy outdoor bar on a quiet square five minutes walk away. Within easy walking distance of the Company’s Gardens and Parliament, and the Tourist Bus office on Long Street. The guest house is very welcoming with friendly staff on hand at all times. We stayed in two rooms, one in the main building, the other across the small courtyard which was classed as a deluxe room as it had a very large high-end modern bathroom and a small outdoor seating area. The only drawback was the rattling of the glass wall throughout the night in the strong Cape wind. Both rooms were comfortable and very clean. Excellent breakfast with a selection of hot dishes prepared to order.
