Ok so firstly the positives… The rooms are lovely very clean fresh and modern equipped with everything you need a small kettle coffee tea sugars, decent hairdryer, ironing board and iron, dove hand wash, dove shampoo and dove body wash you can also request any toiletries that you may have forgot like razor tooth brush cotton pads etc. the showers are brill lovely and big powerful shower and nice hot water. The room sizes are great. However was surprised to find the windows at the front of the building was only double glazing which meant being across from both the fire station and police station could be quite noisy. Breakfast provided was excellent lovely choice of food enough to fill up. Area kept clean and replenished. This is included with the room rate and I feel it’s a great offering. Now the location depending on what you want and where you want to be… a good 20 min walk from central station, it seems close however when you have cases and if the weather is bad it’s not a nice walk. It’s on the quieter side of Amsterdam which is nice if you want to be a little out of it however can be a little annoying when wanting to get up to dam square when it’s a good 20 min walk. When booking through booking.com I selected standard room with double bed which was on my booking confirmation however when arriving I found a twin room I went to reception to explain this and change the room but was met with attitude from the receptionist saying it was a preference and wasn’t guaranteed. And there was nothing she could do. I explained that my confirmation clearly said double room. After arguing and involving the manager it was discovered that it was a problem with booking and the hotel in how the bookings come through to the hotel. However this really left a bad taste regarding checking in mostly due to the attitude of the receptionist who was completely adamant that she couldn’t do anything even when showing the confirmation stating a double room she was determined to find some small print to disregard it. Which she couldn’t find. Overall was a nice hotel and had some good positives but I most likely would not stay here again. Mainly due to the receptionist, the location is a little to far out and the fire station and police station right opposite far to loud.

Overall good, dragging the box from Central Station to the hotel for about 15 minutes. Hotel service is good, the layout is also very good, the breakfast is very good, the variety is very rich, the dining environment is also very good! The Grand Canal and the Science and Technology Museum can be seen on foot for 5 minutes. It is also convenient to walk to the Van Gogh Museum, about 25 minutes.

The room is surprisingly small but complete. The electric kettle was dirty and unsightly. The towel that I brought with my room service on the first day was gone, and there was no result after the negotiation. The next day may be due to the previous day's complaint, the cup was not washed, the free coffee, the tea bag was not given, and the shower pad towel was not given. The third day room service is normal

Very friendly staffs, especially the gentleman checking us in. He gave us a free upgrade from a basement room to a room on the second floor, so that we could avoid the narrow stairs and use the elevator instead. The room is small but very cozy. The bed is comfortable. The location is nice, easy to walk to everything. We definitely would like to stay here again!

The apartment was clean and fully equipped with everything you would need such as a fully stocked kitchen and even toothbrushes and toothpaste in the bathroom. Comfortable bed and sofa also. The staff were friendly and answered any questions we had. They are in a prime location less than 10 minutes walk from Centraal Station which has all the transport links to the rest of the city. The blinds in the room were a bit too light and didn't really block out much light in the mornings. Blackout blinds would be better. Windows couldnt be opened either but there was air conditioning so the room could be properly ventilated. Would definetely come back on my next trip to Amsterdam.

Although the Chinese are in business, they have not taken into account the Chinese. The breakfast is pure European style, the bathroom is too small, there are no washing supplies, not even a glass cup. We often travel on business, and we will bring personal items, but we did not expect to bring cup. Wanting to sing a sip of water, the waiter said to turn on the tap and drink it by himself. But the wash basin was too small, and my mouth couldn't get water. I want to rent a car. The hotel cannot provide any business cards. I hope the hotel can improve and support the Chinese operation as a Chinese. It's best to add one boiled water and two glasses

Staying in Amadi for three nights, a very good experience, first of all, the hotel security makes you feel at ease, the second room is very big, it is a real big bed, the bathroom facilities are excellent, the shower is big, and there is a free coffee bag in the room. The tea bag and the beer drink water in the small refrigerator are also free. The third view is first-class. The sea can be seen from the room. It is very eye-catching. The fourth service is good. The front desk is patient and thoughtful. There is a feeling of going home, the fifth traffic. It is very convenient to get to the hotel from the train station on the 26th tram line. Yes, there is free fruit at the front desk every afternoon. It is a Western meal for breakfast.

Location location location! But with that in mind know that you were in the heart of Amsterdam on a very busy Square and if you’re room faces the square it will be fairly loud at night. Some nights until one or 2 o’clock in the morning. The stairs were very steep, it is Amsterdam after all, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. The walls are thin but the rooms were relatively clean. For younger folks down there to have a good time and then late nights out, it’s perfect! For old codgers like me who don’t want to walk up several flights of ladder type stairs… Find a place with a lift

I have lived in other NHs and the impressions are quite good. This time, I have specially set up three people to increase the room. When I enter the room, I am very disappointed. Isn't this our seven-day hotel chain in China? It’s still awkward than Hanting’s ~275 Euro~ probably because of the disappointment of Giethoorn during the day, because of the disappointment of this nh hotel, I was most disappointed with the European trip to Amsterdam, and I don’t want to go anymore.

As other reviewers have mentioned, this hotel is in a shared building with another hotel & residential units, but it’s not at all inconvenient or hard to find. The reception provides free water for your room (a refillable tap) and the staff was very helpful with recommendations and also super friendly! The rooms were very clean, lovely wood floors, comfortable beds & great showers. Food, drinks & shops all within walking distance & it’s about a 15 minute walk into the central part of Amsterdam. Unfortunately, there were many restrictions due to Covid while we were there, but having a comfortable room with a helpful front desk staff made it much more bearable!

The hotel is an American Hampton. The rooms marked by Europe are large, comfortable and tidy, and the service is very good. The transportation is relatively convenient. It is very convenient to the railway station, the city center and tourist attractions (about 2 miles to the central station). After crossing the railway bridge in the front left, there are many restaurants. You can walk to the supermarket for 10 minutes, and it is convenient to buy food and fruits. Recommended!

Amsterdam Oud Zuid
We had a magnificent stay at De ware Jacob Hotel with a family of five at the end of 2020. With the Covid restrictions it was not easy to travel around, but nonetheless we decided to spend a weekend in Amsterdam benefitting from the beauty of the city with fewer tourists at this moment in time. This Hotel was recommended to us as a cosy newly renovated boutique hotel at the heart of the Museum District, and the price was really good, so we were not disappointed. Our stay was even more memorable than expected. We were received by the very friendly owner and treated with a glass of Cava. The suites and the family rooms were very nice and spacious, we also benefitted from an upgrade, which was a nice gesture. A nice sushi dinner was delivered from a nearby restaurant and we enjoyed it in the lounge with a nice restaurant ambiance. We were pleasantly shocked to be given the variety of Georgian natural wines tasting by the host, something we never tried before, accompanied by the delicious strawberry covered in chocolate. Fantastic!! Breakfast was nicely presented, had nice selection and we were also offered a glass of Prosecco to start the day, but instead decided to swap it for extra cappuccinos and a homemade cake on the house. The city itself was delightful, being not so crowded as usual. We really enjoyed walking in the nearby park. Also went to The Red Light district which was absolutely empty, something unforgettable and special!!! It was indeed a very pleasant break in beautiful Amsterdam.

The hotel is very close to the train station. The first time I ran to another ibis, this is the ibis style hotel. But this is closer to the business district. In fact, the two ibis are about 3 minutes walk. The hotel room is very small, basically can only open the big suitcase checked in the bed, maybe the hotel in Amsterdam is so big. The hotel breakfast is OK, the breakfast of each hotel is similar. Bustling commercial street, pedestrian street is on the edge, shopping is very convenient

Geuzenveld-Slotermeer
We stayed at the hotel in Slottermeelan for 3 nights. Our first impression was not great. The hotel is drop dead ugly and quit unkempt outside with people sitting around on the steps and the front door locked. Once you get inside things feel somewhat better and the staff are really lovely and helpful. The rooms are a little tired and the small pillows are weird but provide everything one would need. Coffee is left but there is no food at the hotel and is is a no alcohol place which I presumed was due to it being in the Turkish quarter. The area is not the best with little to do and you would not go back to the hotel and then go out for dinner nearby as there isn't a viable option if you want a vino with your meal. A short walk from trams into Amsterdam centre and the nearby bus is very easy for getting to the airport and much cheaper than a taxi. Overall impression is OK due more to the lovely staff than anything else.

Worst hotel I’ve ever been to. This is what you can expect for a 4* suite reservation of 1200€: Told them I was allergic to feathers when placing the reservation, they gave me feathers cushions and duvet. When I went down (arguably late in the night as I came back from a conference) to explain the situation they told me to “simply” sleep without a duvet and also remove the cushion and put clothes in the cover instead to make myself a pillow => first night, didn’t sleep for a second. They would make a note of it. Second day in the morning nobody was aware of the note so they made a second note. Feeling this would become a thing, I dropped by in the afternoon and again nobody was aware of any note so they made a third note. Arrived in the evening and guess what.. nobody was aware of any note still, they told me they didn’t have other cushions and blankets and that it was the first time they ever heard of such a “unique” allergy and didn’t have anything they could do for me. Only when I told them I would have to cancel the other nights did somebody come and say that someone would come drop a cotton pillow and blanket “later tonight”. They arrived a 10pm with indeed a cotton pillow and a 1 person blanket… for a king size bed… in a 4* suite… both without the corresponding covers. The next morning I cancelled my stay there, they tried to bill me for a third night which I was not going use but after complaining they told me they would call again later, hang up, didn’t call me back and billed me for the two nights. They didn’t even have the courage to face their failure and call me back. For a 4* hotel they should be ashamed of themselves.

I never wrote negative review about any hotels I have stayed in the past but this hotel is the worst one which I must inform others travellers. We booked a canal facing double room in the month of March before covid19 pandemic started unfortunately we were not able to travel due to lockdown so we politely ask hotel by email if we could extend another date or if that's not possible cancel our reservation & ask for voucher but hotel seems never replied back even we have been trying call the hotel few days before travelling but no one responded our calls so finally after tried calling the hotel get through a person who pretend not to be the manager ask us call back not really helpful at all. So we had no other option to cancel our reservation & waited for receiving the balance money after calculation fees deducted but the hotel never refunded back any amount in fact they blame us for the cancellation. I think this hotel does not care about their customer only interested customer money when everyone suffering this pandemic it's really sad to loose money for nothing that we could not even stayed Beware of this hotel if booked via booking.com no free cancellation any circumstances customer faced hotel staff does not replied or don't send full refunds

In the basement, the hotel is not bad, there is no slippers, a kettle, and there is a socket that can be directly charged without conversion. This was my second visit to the Moxy Amsterdam and surely not the last. After visiting many properties around Europe, I can say this property is definitely my favourite one. The facilities follow a typical Moxy layout, but there are some special details that turn the Moxy Amsterdam way more special. The pool is amazing, the gym could be located at any 5-star hotel and the breakfast is top notch. I loved to have the breakfast at the upper level with great views to Amsterdam. The natural light is incredible. However, the true secret of this hotel is its Team (as any other good hotel!). The very well trained Moxy Crew went above and beyond to make sure my best friend would have a great birthday celebration - and they prepared our bedroom in a very Moxy way. Congratulations to all the Moxy Crew and its Captain for taking the guest experience to the next level! And thank you very much for the great time!

Hotel location is good: take a tram + boat out of the airport to the hotel. Checked in on January 1. The original basic double room was full, and the reception was upgraded for free with a river view double room. The price is really high. The checkin service was good, recommended the restaurant and helped make an appointment. Bring in the room and introduce the facility. The ground floor is a bar and table football, 🏓️ or something. Stayed for two days, the adam look on the roof did not go, it was too cold. The highest swing in Europe, try it later! The room has a mirror and is cleverly designed to make the room feel a third larger. The room is also new and the bathroom is clean. The vinyl record player in the room & the elevator with disco ball is my favorite! Retro & romantic. Recommended for couples ⭐️

Stayed in a loft suite which was overpriced and missold anyway as it's not actually a suite at all, just a room with a shelving unit between the bed and the rest of the room. The room stank of smoke on arrival and had not been properly cleaned, including blood on a door handle. Furniturne very tatty and worn, sofa extremely uncomfortable and wobbly. Horrible rough towels in the bathroom, some with holes in them. Crockery was all mismatched and only 1 wine glass and 1 pint glass provided. Tiny kettle which was terrible quality and took about 10 minutes to even boil. No conditioner in the bathroom. No soap in the toilet room. Tea and coffee facilities not topped up and no milk provided. Light switches on dimmer which would get stuck, lighting in general terrible, poorly placed and useless bulbs. No where to hang coats. Completely lacked any kind of luxury that they try to portray online. Having to pay extra for breakfast because you've booked this supposedly higher quality room is a joke, especially when breakfast consists of just bland continental options, 1 of each so not even 1 per person, and the fruit was far from fresh. No food available at the Hotel other than the overpriced breakfast and staff on the "bar" had no idea how to find or make drinks, the girl we spoke to was looking for red wine in the fridge... Avoid!
