It is a large lobby with shop, patio, bar and restaurant. My room was very large and the bathroom was huge. Great mattress. The TV program choices were great for Spanish speakers but almost nothing in English or French. No CNN, no BCC not Euro news. Good value and I would stay again.

The room we got was well appointed with plenty of hotel toiletries and towels. We had the most fantastic balcony overlooking orange square. We stayed for 7 nights half board. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of selection. Maybe we wouldn’t do half board if staying for a week again as there was lots of restaurants to chose from on Marbella. The 360 bar and pool was a great addition and the cocktails were delicious! The beach was a hop skip and jump away with the beds being 18€ a day for 2 beds and umbrella! We will return for sure! Room 502 10/10!

|1.65km from city centerThis is a lovely old hotel in a fairly quiet location surrounded by apartment blocks and only a couple of hundred meters from the seafront. The interior, although old, looks really beautiful and the apartments have good facilities including dishwasher and washing machine. However, the hotel, in my opinion, doesn’t make the best use of what it has. The brochures state it has two bars, which it has, but only one is used which is located in the middle of the restaurant and with only a couple of large sofas and armchairs gives the place little ambience. I have to agree with other reviewers the one of the biggest let downs is the reception, particularly one of the male receptionists/ manager who seemed to treat guests like an inconvenience, there was certainly no smiles or cheery welcome, no explanation of the hotels facilities. Just a request for passports, sign here and here. The room keys were plonked on the counter and that was it. He was most certainly a graduate of the Basil Faulty school of hotel management. The decor of the is restaurant is also very nice as are the staff but we only had one meal in it and both our meals were cold and had to be returned for reheating. Sadly, on our final morning in the hotel we had a 8 am pick up and discovered there was no water in the room which turned out to be the case throughout the hotel. We had an apology, but we had to leave without being able to freshen up. The pool and pool area is very pleasant and there is no problem with availability of beds with most residents respecting the No reserving policy. As my title suggests, it could be so much better with a little effort on the part of management.

Our room was spacious, clean at the level of luxury you would expect, wonderful views over the picturesque grounds, balcony with wonderful sea views. Each and every member of the team has a smile, nothing is ever to much trouble. Everything to make our stay extraordinary good. All members of the team are amazing as individuals and professionals offering their guests remarkable service. The guest Red Level service/reception is always eager to help with anything you need. Rafa the pool concierge and the team are all excellent and can make anything happen around the pool. Noelia, The General Manager is incredible. The way she interacts with her staff and guests which contributes to the success of this hotel. Noelia makes sure that all the guests are treated with the utmost care and does everything within her powers to make the guest’s feel welcome, she always has time for everyone even with her busy schedule involved with running this very successful hotel. We appreciate the extra mile Noelia always goes in order to make our stay so wonderful, Noelia is always around and about in the Hotel very much managing with a hands on approach. We have stayed in this hotel for decades having also tried some of the other 5 star hotels in Marbella the Gran Melia Don Pepe is definitely 5 stars all the way if not more. We returned a few months ago with our family who also love this hotel, such wonderful memories for us all. My son and daughter call this place their “Jem of Marbella” Breakfast in the Red Level is delicious, nibbles and snacks are served throughout the day. We love the champagne bar just to chill in, you can sit here for hours and just enjoy the peace….. and the champagne! Bardot restaurant overlooking the pool area is great for lunch, sit in the shade or sun and enjoy the most wonderful freshly cooked pizza or a full on steak meal if you desire. You must try Erre the main restaurant in the hotel for the most perfect evening out. Delicious food extensive menu, gorgeous wines and very attentive staff a perfect night for us all. As usual we celebrated our anniversary in Tahini the Hotels Japanese restaurant absolutely 5 stars probably our favourite restaurant in all of Marbella. They have an excellent process in place for breakfast. The busy times are between 09:30 and 10:15, so you might have to queue a bit but it is well organised and moves quickly. We only went B&B and you could not fault the selection of food available. We had a sea view room which had a great size balcony. The Amare hotel is a sister hotel and spa treatments can be got here. We availed of these and had a great experience. The one area for potential improvement is the night time entertainment. Some nights had nothing on and the Pinetree club area lacks atmosphere on those nights. Overall a fabulous return visit and we will be back.

|8.21km from city centerComing to the hotel, I was dubious due to the mixed reviews. But I can say I have no clue what hotel most of these people have been staying in. The hotel is very clean with nice pools ( the main pool could do with fake turf or something around it as it can be muddy ) but you can always get a sunbed, the drinks and food is great both around the pool and at the restaurants. We have a basic room which means no balcony which we weren't aware of, buy that's the only downside to our room. The area is beautiful, with a 5 min walk from the hotel to the beach. There are beautiful beaches and restraunts all around. It was my first time here but I would definitely return for a weeks rest and relaxation! P.s there is tea and coffee on arrival in your room and also water and mini fridge that you can stock up from the local supermarket.

One exception was the DJ who was accompanied by a musician playing an electric guitar. He was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I doubt the people responsible for the choice looked at the demographic of their clientele. Having stayed at both hotels this year (Ibiza & Marbella) I accept the younger residents in Ibiza would enjoy this genre of music but it now the crowd in Marbella. It certainly is SO repetitive that after 5 days I wanted to scream 'turn it off!' Apart from that we had a fabulous time!!

|0.28km from city centerAlways love our stay at LVM as staff are super friendly and rooms lovely, but we didn’t get the apartment we requested and was confirmed by management on booking, and didn’t think the matter was dealt with well when we queried it. So we felt a bit let down on this occasion. Also breakfast not as good as it was when we stayed the first couple times. Some of the fruit bit mouldy and one of the hot breakfast items had run out! Think management need to keep a check on it so it’s up standard. Lastly it would be nice to get a bottle of water provided in the fridge of the apartments and robes especially when 2 couples staying. Pretty basic items but what you’d expect in a hotel as nice as this. Don’t want the above to sound picky as we do love our holidays in the Old Town but LVM not as good as usual :((

It is actually a sofa in an ordinary hotel room, and the room has a musty smell. Ctrip indicated that it will open in 2020. I thought it was a new hotel. The actual decoration is relatively old. I don't understand why it is a hotel opened in 2020. The front desk service does not meet the five-star standard. The procedures are completed in the morning and the room card is picked up in the afternoon. There is a person at the front desk, very slow, and waited for a long time.
The advantage of the hotel is that there are many restaurants, it feels good to eat at night, the location is by the sea, and the walk is very comfortable.

However, the bed was comfortable, the room was large, there was a small balcony and there was bottled water. It was fine for a two-night stay in order to come and meet friends. The towels were pretty basic and I was slightly perplexed as to why there was only one chair on the outside patio of Room 206. There's also an interconnecting door in Room 206, which is probably useful for families but less useful in terms of hearing everything that's said in the next-door room. There is a restaurant next to the hotel (which we didn't try but looked fine, and was open for breakfast). We did try Masala Indian Restaurant one night, but it's not a place I need to go back to. The Carrefour supermarket is a ten-minute walk, as is the beach. The receptionist, Belina, was delightful.

Staff are lovely and helpful and have a great command of English and various other languages. Pool big and very quiet in April! There were people swimming in it but I didn’t try it. Close proximity to beach (if you are on holiday) it’s a short walk across the road and through the very expensive Porto Romano resort. Negative points: No alcohol served anywhere in the hotel. Hotel is Halal friendly but doesn’t offer alternatives, not a huge issue as I eat it but my partner wanted pork sausages and bacon and it isn’t offered. Breakfast does offer a good variety of choices though so no one went hungry! Huge negative is the proximity to the local Mosque in terms of the chanting several times a day for long periods, probably should be mentioned on the website - along with the no alcohol - so guests can make an informed decision. The hotel is very minimalistic and I wouldn’t say it is 5 star but in line with other southern European countries the stars are often exaggerated. I think 4 star is a more suitable rating. It does have a gym but it’s a very basic gym. Also has a spa open from 10-6 but I didn’t visit this. The biggest problem for me was the poor WiFi. They offer two types WIFI_Alanda and ALAND_PRO and both were absolutely dire. I ended up streaming off my mobile device. I tried it in several locations and eventually popped across the road to the Porto Romano resort as their WiFi is amazing. This is probably the main reason for the 3 star review as it cannot be a business hotel if it doesn’t have the services to support it. Lovely stay but the stress of not being able to connect to WiFi that could support a teams call was really negative.
