We stumbled upon the Sophy Hyde Park when looking for a hotel near the University of Chicago. We're from the tristate area but wanted to stay close. They had a terrific deal for tristate residents but we just loved the hotel, from the ease of checking in to every detail throughout the hotel. Very chic, very thoughtful and just terrific all around! When we ended up having to extend our stay due to COVID concerns, the team was incredibly accommodating. We were so appreciative and plan to come back for a staycation when life returns to normal!

This is the second time staying, and I have nothing to complain about the hotel. The booking made by Ctrip was very unpleasant. I prepaid the room fee when I made the reservation. When I checked in for the first time, the front desk said that they had not received the reservation, and I needed to prepay the full room rate with a credit card at the front desk. Later, I contacted Ctrip's customer service and checked in smoothly. I encountered this situation again when I checked in for the second time. This time Ctrip did not pay the room fee to the hotel before I checked in. It was midnight domestic time when I checked in. I couldn't wait for the domestic work and they paid the hotel for the room. Check in again, so there is no alternative but to pre-authorize the full room rate with credit card again at the front desk. The trouble is that it took about a month for the US pre-authorization to be revoked. In short, I was still very dissatisfied with many international long-distance calls to Ctrip. I have been using Ctrip for more than ten years, and I have been upgraded to a super member. As a result of the communication, my impression of Ctrip is really discounted. In the future, foreign hotels will no longer be booked on Ctrip.

I was a little worried when I booked this. No worries!! Room was clean, bathroom spotless, towels were fine, clean bedding. Yeah carpet wasn’t super new but it wasn’t orange shag either. Clean. Front desk Juan was AMAZING. Super nice. Free shuttle to downtown large and perfect. Left 4 times a day. We checked in on a Thur and caught last shuttle to downtown at 6:30. Free. Dropped us off anywhere downtown. No shuttle back at 1 am Friday but Uber back was $14. Shuttle lady was helpful friendly. Booked through Agoda paid $125 for night w all taxes n fees. Came w free parking too. Agoda booking was smooth. Large dorm fridge in room. View of Lake Michigan cool.

I stayed here for a weekend to go to see the White Sox and this property is within walking distance of the ballpark and the neighborhood itself is safe - I am a female traveling alone and attended a night game. The staff couldn't have been nicer - they allowed me to check in early and held my luggage the day I left. The property is old, but I had a large room, it was clean, and everything worked. There was a smell in the hall but I did not find it to be that bad, and the room itself did not smell. There is a decent barbeque place across the street, and the motel is less than 2 blocks from the L. I stayed for 2 nights and would stay again. It's not fancy but it worked for my purposes.

If you are on a business trip, SAVE YOUR TIME. First off the front desk guy and management were extremely rude and unprofessional. I was traveling to Chicago for work and was book in this hotel (Unfortunately) through Priceline. Upon checking in, the front desk guy said I needed the card that the room was booked with and the ID. Well being this was a company trip, the company I work for paid for the room, therefor I didn’t have the card or ID the room was booked with but had my personal for incidentals. I was told this is not good enough and I needed the card and ID it was booked with. I left the situation as is and proceeded to call the company I work for and explain. As I called my boss, the front desk guy called his “boss” and put her on speaker very loud so everyone is the lobby could here her. I assume she asked to be put on speaker cause he then says “ok your on speaker”. Next all I hear is “IF YOU DONT HAVE THE CARD AND THE ID THAT THE ROOM WAS BOOK WITH, YOU CANT STAY HERE”. “THATS IT DONT SAY NOTHING ELSE, THAT IS ALL YPU HAVE TO SAY”. Not only did I never ask to speak to her or a manager, I also didn’t ask for my situation to be broadcasted to the entire lobby. After I was told I needed the additional information, I not once asked the front desk guy a question. All I was trying to do is contact my company I work for to figure out a way to pay. Not even 5 minutes go by and the “boss” calls back and said I can’t use ANY card (No company card, no personal card, no nothing). The only way they would let me check into a room is by pay 3 nights with CASH. This is the craziest thing I have ever heard of. Stay away if you can!!!

We have to admit when we first pulled up we were a little surprised as it looked a little older on the outside than what we were expecting. However, we were immediately greeted and helped at the front desk by the most friendly and helpful man. Gave us dinner suggestions and explained perfectly how the process of breakfast, shuttle, leaving our vehicle worked. Our room was somewhat the same- looked old (especially the bathroom) but it was SO CLEAN! The breakfast options were good and the shuttle was right on time. All personnel we dealt with were so friendly and helpful! When we returned home our vehicle was running and warmed up for us with water bottles and a small treat waiting in the front cupholders. We were extremely impressed and would use this hotel for a park and fly again any time we go out of Midway! Oh and if you like doing more of your own food vs eating out there was a mini fridge and a microwave in the room along with a small table/eating area.

Opened in 2021, the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Chicago Chinatown is a great accommodation choice in Chicago. Traveling to the hotel is easy with LaSalle Street Station located approximately 3km away and Midway International Airport roughly 14km away. Just a short walk from Cermak–Chinatown Metro Station, traveling to most city destinations is a breeze. Guests will find Heritage Museum of Asian Art, Chinatown and Willie Dixon's Blues Heaven Foundation just a short distance from the hotel. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing.

I am a repeat customer at this QI hotel near Midway Airport on Cicero that offers its own 'on call' 24/7 shuttle. It sets itself apart, literally and figuratively from the cluster of other brand hotels near the airport. Here employees display their name badges, acknowledge and welcome Choice Reward members and the hotel policies are prominently posted at the front desk and in the rooms, including its Green Policy where towels and bed linens are replaced every third day unless more frequency is requested. Parking is free and public transportation is right in front of the hotel. There is also a consistent, excellent 'above and beyond' customer service attitude there that I find lacking at competitor hotels. For example, the room pictures posted on this hotel's website are exactly as the room looks. Over the years, I encountered some of the same staffers like the shuttle drivers who are friendly and very informative about what is going on around Chicago. There is Israel, who if on duty at the front desk will take care of any problem to your satisfaction. Although I could not check in immediately upon arrival because I was too early and did not get the exact room I requested, I was allowed to check in after his invitation to enjoy a hot breakfast and assigned a room comparable to the one I specifically requested. All of my other special requests were honored which made me feel special in light of the fact they were very busy that weekend day. Breakfast room staffers Angelo and Lucy still run a clean, tight and stocked ship every morning. I even noticed the breakfast napkins are nice and thick instead of those cheap, thin tissue types I experienced at other hotels. My room was immaculate as usual so I assume the same meticulous housekeepers are on duty. My bed was very clean, comfortable and sleep worthy. My only nitpicking issues were this QI only offers basic cable channels and you cannot control the thermostat over 80°, which were not issues for me this time but may be a serious issue for thin blooded guests like me from the south who want to visit during Chicago's bitter cold winters, which I had done in the past and plan to do this December. None of those hiccups would keep me from returning repeatedly however because the customer service alone from the staff is outstanding and worth a return stay. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and encourage anyone to stay there at any time for any reason. You will not be disappointed.

#前服务#may be the reason for the simplification of the guest name in the Ctrip agent forwarding order. There is a room that can't be refunded. The front desk can't do the house card. I can't see the Ctrip order for the female clerk. Finally, at home time. At 4 o'clock in the morning, Ctrip customer service, customer service promptly contacted and delayed more than one hour to get another room card. In the process, the young female front desk was arrogant and cold, refused to accept Ctrip's check-in voucher record, and only recognized her computer display content. The attitude is very uncomfortable. #室布局# Yes, the corner room has a good view Hotel is a good hotel

I recently stayed here for five days and... this place just kind of grew on me. Check-in was easy-peezy. The room, while not super-luxurious, was clean and comfy. Within walking distance are several fast food restaurants, along with higher-end restaurants, a WalMart, Target, Best Buy, and Midway International is no more than 2 miles away, if that. The breakfast's were perfect. Fresh, hot coffee is always available to boot. One thing that really stood out to me is that the cleaning and maintenance staff were constantly busy sweeping, mopping, general cleaning, laundry, etc. They were very impressive and very nice whenever I passed one of them in the corridor. The remote for the television sucked. There was no functionality to scroll thru the channels, and the buttons were big and awkward - the remote had to be pointed directly at the receptor to change a channel. This is an extremely minor complaint and has nothing to do with my overall impression. Just making a note for those of you who like to seamlessly channel surf. Sleep Inn is located within a cluster of about 8 or 9 other hotels for Midway. Parking is easy. Road access to Cicero Ave is easy. It is a very nice place to stay if you are at Midway for any reason. This is a very strong 3 star review and I will definitely stay there again and recommend it to my colleagues, just as it was recommended to me.

There is a very popular restaurant for breakfast on the first floor of the hotel. The taste is good. You can watch the night view of Chicago on the top floor and take photos. It feels good to stay. I have stayed twice and walked to the surrounding attractions. Trump Hotel across the river

Let me start by saying that I was so looking forward to our stay at the Swissotel Chicago - for a very special occasion. And it was off to a great start when the bell man greeted us and escorted us to the front desk. But that was the end of our pleasant experience with Swissotel, even though I had called in advance to let them know this was a special occasion. We were greeted at the front desk by a cold and unwelcoming individual named Nicole Thompson. She was horribly rude and unfriendly. When I inquired about the bill because I was surprised it was more than anticipated from my online reservation, she seemed bothered with my questions and made me feel like I was being problematic, instead of just trying to get clarification. We left the front desk feeling very unwelcome and it left a bad taste in our mouths, but I wasn't going to let it damper the day and instead, looked forward to our pre-booked city view room... instead, Ms. Thompson put us in a room on the 4th floor directly in front of the elevator, which is neither a river view or a city view, but a concrete view of a roof of a building next door - and in the distance, a little sliver of the lake. Even thinking about it now upsets me so much. So we were left with a room without a city view, paying more than I expected, and didn't get the $10 per day credit for not using housekeeping service. I am so disappointed with my stay at the Swissotel and will never recommend it to anyone.

The hotel was good and had everything we needed for our stay. The location was great and ideal for exploring the city. John in particular on the front desk was really helpful and friendly throughout our stay. My only real criticism was that the hotel has a long was to go in terms of sustainability. In our rooms the coffee cups were disposable and even at breakfast the plates, cups and cutlery were all disposable. This is really unnecessary. It would be absolutely be possible to make these all things that can be washed and reused. In addition we were told that if we were happy to reuse our towels we just had to hang them up. Despite doing this, they were replaced every day, We would have been happy to use the towels to be more enviornmentally friendly but weren't given the option.

I recently visited The Blackstone for my second stay. Since I was alone this time, it allowed me the chance to focus on the quality of my stay in itself. During such a strange time as the COVID-19 pandemic in the US, and searching for a new home in the Chicago area, comfort and solace is hard won. I was able to have it, in part, because of the beauty of the hotel as my lodging. The rooms at the Blackstone are comfortable and even luxurious. If you can, try to stay in one of the rooms that allows a view of the Lake. The sunrise from the hotel is magical and truly relaxing. The amenities of the hotel are also fabulous. Restaurants, shops, Navy Pier, museums, Grant Park, Millennium Park, and other activities are all comfortably walkable from here. The Blackstone is artsy and gorgeously whispers its significant Chicago history to its guests. The staff in the hotel are its best secret, though. At each service point, the Blackstone staff was professional, helpful, friendly...even to the point of conversation about the local scene. In particular, I would like to thank Lilly for her help on the day I checked in, times I came to the desk for snacks and information, and even on the day I checked out. Her work is an asset to the hotel and its brand. Thank you for a great stay!

If you are staying to visit someone in Rush hospital, this is the place to stay. There is a parking garage 50 feet from the hotel with overnight rates cheaper than the hospital hourly rates. I walked two blocks to the hospital through a good neighborhood with no issues. They also had a shuttle if the walk is too much or weather doesn't permit.

Stayed here for three nights with my son while he looked at colleges. The location is great - right next to a CTA stop, so even on a freezing night in January, it was easy to get places. The neighborhood has lots of affordable places to eat and shop. It is a residential neighborhood as opposed to a touristy one. Our room faced a brick wall, but that meant no street noise. I liked that the room was a real suite with a door between the bedroom and living room. Too often places say they are a "suite," but it really just means there is a couch. I could get up earlier than my son and not bother him. And I love any hotel that provides robes. So great to have one to wear after taking a shower! The breakfast is basic - just coffee, juice, boxed cereal, toast - but enough to keep you going while you wait for your teen son to wake up (are you sensing a theme here?) Lots of places within a block or two to get a heartier breakfast, though. There are few amenities here. No business center, no place to use a computer or printer, no exercise room, no restaurant. But it is a very good basic hotel. Because the rooms are suites, there seemed to be a lot of rooms with a lot of people in them. When we arrived, there were several rooms on our hallway with their doors open and people running between them drinking wine and yelling to each other. I think the front desk said it was a bridal party. On the next two nights, there was a huge group of people in the lobby playing games and drinking beer. There is no way anyone else could have just hung out in the lobby. The staff did an excellent job at getting people to keep the sound down and get out of other guests' way, but still, a lot of big groups, so maybe not the best hotel if you want a sedate atmosphere. I imagine it is a lot quieter if you stay mid-week. I was supposed to stay at this hotel again in March, but had to cancel at the last minute because my event was cancelled the night before due to the growing threat of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although I had passed the cancellation deadline, the staff happily gave me a refund. As soon as this lockdown ends, I hope to get to Chicago and stay in this hotel again!
