The breakfast is very good. The room and bed are too small. This hotel is fast and there is no waiter at night. Only the waiter from the restaurant came to receive. Because I want an extra bed with my child, I can't add it without a waiter. The waiter said that extra beds must be emailed in advance.

We came here for my son’s 22nd birthday this weekend and had a lovely time. All the staff were so caring and attentive. They even put balloons in our room and brought him some cake. The leisure facilities were great. Very relaxing. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. I look forward to visiting again. Thankyou to the lady who bought me a cup of coffee while I was sitting in reception this morning. Nobody has ever done that for me in a hotel before. Also thankyou to the lovely man behind the desk who extended our check out time and helped me get our luggage into the taxi.

Stayed here overnight when attending a gig at Resorts World Arena. Walking distance of Broad Street where our friends were staying. Wonderful warm welcome from staff, very attentive and helpful. Booked with them directly so had the parking included and booked breakfast on arrival which turned out to be a great choice. Good choice of food and all very tasty. Room was spacious and had everything we needed including extra pillows! Didn’t hear a thing from other guests whilst in our room although there were plenty others staying. Must say all the staff we met were super attentive and very helpful. Would definitely rebook when we are in Birmingham again.

Where to start. I had a large team (booking 72 nights in total over a 2 week period) to do some filming within the local area, the hotel is conveniently place outside central Birmingham meaning we didn't get stuck in the daily traffic when travelling to various locations outside of central. To deal with the rooms. The basic rooms are small, and the internal view isn't nice. But when you're using as a place to sleep, my team didn't much mind at all. Most importantly the rooms were clean. Facilities are okay, secure parking was very helpful. What I was most blown away by was the staff. Nothing was too much trouble at all, even before we checked-in they had contacted me to understand our needs and asked whether there was anything specific they could assist with or arrange for us. When we got to the hotel, the whole team there were nothing but amazing. It was some of the best service I have EVER received. They organised a smooth check-in process for my large team arriving at different time, a space to securely hold our kit and had offered flexibility in bar and restaurant times to accommodate our needs. From front of house, to back of house and everyone in between, they were amazing. I really cannot undersell this team. Clare, Zak, Wizz, Richard are just some of the names of those who made us feel completely at home. I asked whether their corporate HQ offers reward or recognition for reviews like this - they don't - but they absolutely should. We will be returning to Birmingham in the coming months for more work. I won't be looking anywhere else for accommodation, if they have space for us, we will be staying at the Strathallen Hotel without question. Any company or corporate looking to have the headache of arranging accommodation for small or large parties - book here!

This was our first visit to Birmingham, and having been recommended the Park Regis we chose this for a family weekend away. Could not fault the hotel from start to finish. the staff there were all so friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Laura, the Guest Relations Manager was able to recommend places for us to visit and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The hotel doesn't advertise family rooms as such (as far as i am ware), but we were travelling with a 2.5 year old and they put a rollaway bed in the room for her which was ideal. The room was spotless and amenities in there plentiful. We also tried the afternoon tea and had breakfast in the hotel as well, and the food was amazing. The new Indus restaurant was not open when we stayed, but we will definitely be back later in the year to try that!

Stayed 4 days end of April on business. Stayed in plenty of IHG hotels, but never one quite like this. Some positives; Staff on the bar, night shift staff and the breakfast staff were all very helpful and pleasant. The food menu in the bar is very poor, with one of three options off it’d leave a lot of choice. My room wasn’t cleaned in the 4 days I was there, not even a bin emptied. Tried calling reception several times on day 3 with no joy, then went down to speak with them but there was a gentlemen in front of me with the same questions. No replacement towels, replenished tea or coffee, etc. The gentleman was informed by the rather abrupt reception lady; ‘If you want more tea bags there’s a Lidl over the road!’ ‘If you want fresh towels bring them down and they’ll be changed, all of this should be explained on check in’ Wow! It clearly wasn’t explained and to be honest for an IHG business hotel is this the policy? Parking is expensive if a non member I’d chose other hotels if visiting the area.

This kind of service is super poor, all with racial discrimination Ctrip must translate into English and stay on the comments page of their hotel to avoid compatriots stepping on the pit Disgusting service from the terrible male night shift staff with the racist attitude!

The decoration style of the Crowne Plaza Hotel is consistent. Since we are going to the exhibition, we are very close to the nec exhibition center and it takes 10 minutes to walk. Next door is Birmingham Airport. Basically, people who come here for business are not interested in any sights. There is a large party bar on the first floor of the hotel. You can also order some food. The breakfast is on the ground floor. There are not as many choices as domestic ones. They are more English style. What scrambled eggs, poached eggs, fried eggs. Ah, sausages, and so on. The whole is quite satisfactory. . . It is also a business trip, not demanding

Stayed at this hotel twice during May. On the first visit it was just myself and my five year old. The little one immediately made friends with Roberta on reception as she was kind, attentive and listened with patience and real enthusiasm to his descriptions of what he had done with his day. She was so nice to him that he gave her one of the free chocolate bars he had been given at Cadbury's World; which if you know 5 year olds and chocolate, speaks volumes about how nice she was to him. The rest of our trip consisted of my small making sure he stopped by reception to see "my friend" and each time she happily chatted and listened with enthusiasm to his stories of the fun things he had done that day. Our second visit came two weeks later at the insistence of the 5 year old who wanted to take his daddy to do the fun things we had done on our previous trip to Birmingham, and the hotel had to be the same so that he could go and see his pal Roberta. Once again Roberta was an absolute star with my little one, and he asked if he could give her a bar of chocolate! On this second trip we also met Josh. What an absolute credit to the hotel he is. On the first night there was a fire evacuation during our meal and he came around after we had got settled back in to apologise and to offer a free a round of drinks for the inconvenience. As with Roberta he was absolutely lovely to our 5 year old, listening to him with genuine warmth and attentiveness, and asking him questions about his day. We encountered Josh regularly through our 3 night stay and he was always really efficient, warm and attentive. Our 5 year old even taught him a few Spanish words. Amazing staff team and a comfy hotel bed. What more could you want from a hotel?

We stayed here for two nights over the Easter holidays and have stayed previously (although several years ago). Check in was fine, if a little underwhelming and the rooms here are all pretty much the same. I still quite like the design, although the layout is based on the HI Express layout, with the bathroom door acting as the toilet door as well (really quite a clever design trick I still think). The rooms are beginning to look a little dated now, but are still comfortable enough. Unfortunately we didn’t realise until the middle of the night that the window seal was not working properly, so we had a rather abrupt wake-up call when the building work opposite started early the next morning. We didn’t have breakfast here as there are plenty of other places close by to choose from. The bar area is a decent size, but the drinks selection is minimal. This hotel’s best asset is the location to the city centre, you can’t get much more central these days. For the correct price we would stay here again, although probably only for one night and we’d check the window before accepting the room (or ask for a room at the back of the hotel).

Very good hotel, clean, cost-effective and safe. I studied abroad in Birmingham ten years ago so I know this location is very convenient. Downstairs is Chinatown. Within 10 minutes walk to the train station bullring shopping! highly recommended! Although the hotel faces the street, the glass is double-glazed, and even the toilets are sound-proofed! The price of this hotel in the UK is really a bargain!

As a well travelled diamond member I’ve been lucky enough to stay in Hilton’s around the world. None however as horrific as this. The reception area is pleasant however the room was like something out of a horror film. It was completely filthy, stank, stains all over, broken hairdryer, and worse still the air conditioning did not work. I went to report this and was told by reception I’d receive a call from management…. I didn’t. After returning from my work dinner the room was like a sauna. I once more asked for a manger but to no avail and then had the worse sleep of my life. The next day was no better. I flagged the issues again and no manager available. After much discussion one was magically available who offered me a fan in a room. Quite frankly this is ridiculous but better than nothing surely?! Sadly not. The fan was quite frankly dangerous with the cover not on it and unable to stand up properly! Cue another awful sleep in the dirty room. Next morning I asked to speak to a manager again and one wasn’t available therefore I asked for a call. Needless to say this didn’t happen and instead a half baked email from Stathis (who is incompetent and utterly disinterested) calling me the wrong name and not acknowledging any of my issues! On a side note my own fault entirely but I left my mac book charger in the room. Very silly Of me but this hasn’t been handed in by housekeeping….. so has in essence been stolen. Very disappointing and I will never be stepping foot in this Hilton ever again and as a senior leader of a local business who’s staff stay there multiple times a week none of them will be other. Things go wrong, I get that. But it’s how they get resolved that count and this hotel has failed on every single level. Avoid at all costs

We stayed here for our anniversary and what a stunning room we had! I loved all the small details added to the room and the bathroom was lovely. I was amazed at the interior of this hotel, it really is stunning! The owner of the hotel is extremely friendly, as are all the staff. We were warmly welcomed into the hotel which was lovely. The hotel is just a short walk into the city centre - we walked down and got an Uber back because it was extremely cold (an Uber from the city centre only cost us £4.50). Breakfast was also included in our hotel stay and this was lovely. They give you a huge choice of what you can have and you can order as much as you like! We had a lovely weekend stay. The hotel is in a great situation, just up from New St Station and close to all the bars & shops. Breakfast had a great choice from cooked breakfast to continental. There was complimentary coffee & tea 24/7 in reception. The staff were friendly & helpful. We found this hotel quiet, considering how many floors & rooms there are we hardly saw or heard anyone, other than at breakfast. We would definitely return to the hotel. Slightly hidden in the upmarket shopping mall called The Mailbox, the entrance to Hotel Indigo immediately feels quiet. The staff by the lifts and at reception are friendly and helpful. Then comes the fun. The lift shoots you up at least 22 floors to the sleeping floors. Our room was vast, modern and comfortable. To our surprise it also boasted a very large balcony area - more like a patio, with huge chairs and a couch. And there is a telescope to help you examine the panorama of the city below. Breakfast is on the 25th floor with impressive views over the canals, gated housing, skyscrapers and restaurants of the Gas Street Basin - and area which is still a hub for English canals but is now transformed from industry to a zone of pedestrian walks, cultural buildings, nightlife and eateries of all sorts. Of the various routes to the hotel we chose to walk along the canal towpath beside pubs, clubs and restaurants - buzzing with life into the small hours but feeling very safe. In an area packed with hotels of all grades ... we were delighted to be in this one and felt privileged to be so cossetted.

The hotel is located in the jewelry district of Birmingham. Although it is a Hilton hotel, it is a bit surprising compared to domestic hotels. The room is not large, the basic facilities are complete, like most of these hotels in foreign countries, do not provide toiletries, bottled mineral water, disposable slippers, etc., you need to bring your own! The decoration style is simple and practical! The lobby and the restaurant are together, not big but warm, the English breakfast can meet the basic needs, and there are not many types, mainly bread, toast, cereal, juice, coffee, milk, bacon, English sausage, etc.; The St. Martin's Church and the Niuhuan Shopping Center in the city center are about 20 minutes' walk away. If you come mainly to travel and return to the hotel at the basic night, it should be a good choice! It is recommended to book as early as possible before travel, the price discount is relatively large!

We booked at the Rotunda for three primary reasons: great views, close access to transportation for trips outside Birmingham, and an opportunity to catch up on laundry in the middle of our trip. The first two reasons proved to be good, but I would not describe the Saying Cool experience as a modern boutique hotel. Although refurbished, the Rotunda is fifty years old and shows it’s age. We were greeted with a cold shower on our first morning and later discovered that the boiler needed to be reset (no instructions were provided). It’s not air conditioned, and despite the large windows that open, it would be very uncomfortable on a hot summer day (a fan sitting in the room is never a good sign). The washer/dryer is a combined unit, and we had to Google operating instructions. There were leftover wet towels in the washer/dryer, and a load takes a very long time and wrinkles everything. There is a lot of unnecessary effort required that could be alleviated with some simple printed instructions. Front desk staff were available but ultimately we needed to figure out solutions. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable, milk and oranges were provided, the coffeemaker is excellent, and Internet strong. It would be very easy to cook a meal in with the equipment provided. f you do not need to do laundry and can check to ensure you have hot water first thing, the Rotunda can be a good place to stay, and the views are outstanding.

On arrival the chap at the reception told us he had given us a very quiet room which we were pleased about as we had just had a 3 hour drive to the hotel and our brother/in laws funeral to go to the next morning so a good nights sleep was needed. The room, bedding and towels were clean and the room was tidy but.... Only one comfy chair so one of us had to sit in the chair that was at the desk, the back was not fixed on the chair very well so you could not lean back into it. The bed was really uncomfortable and you could feel the springs. 2 out of the 4 pillows were awful and just felt like bits of cotton wool bunched up in them although they were clean and fresh. The shower door would not close properly so the bathroom floor and mat was soaked during our showers and we had to use the bath mat to try and dry the floor as well as to step onto it. The metal bars between the glass in the shower were full of black mould. Then to the best bit, the fan did not go off after the light was turned off in the bathroom, we kept thinking it would stop (it was VERY noisy) and by 12pm we were ready to rip it off the wall, we realised that the only way to stop it was to take out the electric card, which meant no lights etc but hoped we would sleep the rest of the night and not need to get up in the dark with no lights, after trying to get comfortable and fall asleep about 2am on the awful bed we were woken at 5am by someone walking up and down the corridor and the door into the reception banging, at 6am the extrator fan from the kitchens on the left of our room kicked in. In all we managed about 3 hours sleep, my partner mentioned these problems to a staff member who offered us free breakfast but we did not want breakfast and did not have time before the funeral. I also spoke to the lady as I was leaving the hotel about all the problems and she said she was very sorry and that we should put a review on here. We stayed in room 100 which is by the reception area. I have since seen on your website that you guarantee a good nights sleep and also that you have super comfy hypos beds (whatever they are), we attended a very long and emotional funeral followed by a 3 hour drive home made all the more tiring after a night in the this Premier Inn.

Outside I was a little unsure. Once we walking in I was instantly surprised at how nice the inside was. The pub had a modern but classical and familiar feel to it. The polite staff member from the bar took us to the check in desk and booked us in. The room was really nice, again with a modern/classical feel. Way more than I was expecting for the price we paid. We quickly got comfortable in the room. Before going out for the night to an event we enjoyed a few drinks at a table in the pub. It was still early on a Friday so it was not that busy yet. After our event we like the pub so much we decided to have a few more drinks back there for the rest of the night. There where a few more people and a karaoke going on now. I really enjoyed myself. It was that nice local pub community vibe. It gave me the impression that everyone knew everyone. We didn't feel like outsiders and where welcomed. Just people having a few drinks and a good time on a Friday night.

All big chains have their good and bad locations, we chose this because we have usually had a good experience with Comfort. This is at the bottom of the food chain. Great location, good sized rooms. That's all the good there is. It started with curt warning and fines for not handing back the plastic key card -£5, which I thought odd. Next we find rooms have to be inspected on departure - that should have been a warning sign, but we booked and paid via Booking.com, so we were stuck with it. Dreary bedding, a bath with a damp shower curtain and hose, no bath mat. People screaming up and down the stairs until well past 4am. At one point having a great laugh right outside our door. All night long, the party went on and on and on, we got in at 10pm, the party started at midnight. No ventilation, no fan - open the window if traffic and aircon noise is your thing. It's just a sad bottom of the heap budget hotel. Had we paid £30-40 it would be what it was. We paid more than twice that, we will never touch Comfort Inn again. There are so many other hotels to choose from at similar price points.

Very good hotel in all respects, from the location and the hotel's service, the reception is very enthusiastic, very patient to answer our questions. The location is the most important; it's inside the mailbox; and the most important thing is that even if the mailbox store is closed, you can walk, walk out from the new street station, turn left, and walk all the way, you will be there in 6 minutes. When you see the mailbox, go directly to Building, go in, pass the BBC every day, go to the end, go out to see the canal, a few steps down the left, you will immediately see AC hotel!

Walk about 300 meters from the train station in Birmingham, diagonally through the gateway built in Fuzhou, China. After the pedestrians of the pagoda, walk about 300 or so. Nearby is Chinatown. There is an iron gate at the entrance of the hotel. After the iron gate opens, the left side is the front desk, where breakfast is eaten. Parking in the iron gate is a bit like a bicycle hotel. The room is basically 1 and 2 floors. Each room has a separate toilet, a shower room with a bathtub, a kettle and no refrigerator. There is a dryer and a heater. Small pieces of clothing can be dried the next morning after washing. Breakfast is mainly British Western style, you can eat well! Don't waste it!
