10.34km from Stoney's at StoneybrookWhere does one begin? We had the unfortunate opportunity to stay here for 2.5 weeks due to a home insurance claim. While unpacking our car into our tiny dated room we had to walk through several people smoking right next to the door. Imagine staying at a hotel where a cigarette bin and camping chairs are parked right next to the entrance where you are staying. We had asked for a first floor room near an exit since we had our dogs with us. We got one of the worst rooms on the property. The room next to us had people that live here... who are coming and going at all times (loudly)and sometime they would be passed out in the camping chairs while high. Burnt spoons next to them. Real classy Hey mgmt: here are photos and descriptions of what is going on. Mgmt: shrugs shoulders Cigarette butts, beer cans, orange peels strewn about this area to which we had to walk around. If we complained we were told yeah we know this is a problem and they would not it down in a little book. Let’s talk about the room: AC unit is loud and inconsistent. It’s either 82* or 55* in the room. The unit is so loud you can’t even enjoy relaxing on your small couch. It is filthy because our allergies we crazy every morning. We had to work during the day so we would leave and have no issues. Come back and allergy attack would ensue. The fridge froze all of our food. Then when you turn it down... still froze our food. The microwave either boiled your food or didn’t even nuke it a degree warmer. Coffee maker?! Yes we have one! That smoked and exploded in your face if you dared turned it on. Room was not cleaned at all for the first week. After asking 3 days straight as to why, we were told due to limited housekeeping and that there is a schedule. Our full clean was Tuesday... didn’t happen. Now Wednesday... didn’t happen. Finally on Friday, 9 days after checking in our room was finally cleaned. After that, it was cleaned EVERYDAY?! So I guess mgmt said screw the schedule. Breakfast: we were told due to COVID the options would be limited. First week there was cereal, milk, crappy muffins and bread. Instant Oatmeal and grit packs were available to take to your room to try and get your microwave to cooperate enough to eat them. And moldy oranges if you cared for one or three. Only good part was the coffee was decent enough to start your day. Second week, cereal and milk were gone. Next the coffee. Mgmt advised due to COVID they could not longer serve these items. By the last 2 days there was nothing. Not even moldy fruit to choose from. Overall if you enjoy a Marriott bed but a Howard Johnson of the 90s hotel stay by all means this is the place for you.
