|4.3km from city centerI stayed at this hotel several years ago and had a great experience so I booked it again. This time I was disappointed. The beach and pool areas were not kept clean. Being the major reasons for choosing this hotel this was a real spoiler. The beach was so full of sea**** you could not go in the water. The pool water was always cloudy and not skimmed out properly. There were bugs, clumps of hair and beach debris floating in the pool water. I went in sporadically to cool off from the intense heat but could not stay in long because the water was too hot in addition to being dirty. The third pool was closed beginning our second day which made the other two overcrowded. I was not able to get a wash cloth after my first night. Each day I asked for some and was told there were none on the housekeeping cart. I had to call the front desk to request them. I was delivered additional bath towels which I didn’t need but never saw a wash cloth again. The food and beverages were way overpriced. Even the staff apologized and said they knew the prices were ridiculous. This resort shouldn’t charge daily resort fees when they can’t provide the level of service expected of their guests. I do not recommend this hotel.

|3.41km from city centerMy son and I needed a beach break - we did a long weekend and wished we could stay longer. The location is so nice! We liked the two beds and part wall in between. The Queen is close to bathroom and the Kind Oceanside with an amazing view!! I loved watching the sunrise! We were on the top floor so could see the ocean well. On Saturday only nights you do hear Nicks music until 2-3 am. Bring ear plugs for that night only. if you need complete darkness bring eye mask as the frosted glass does not keep out the patio lights but I managed to sleep. The Queen side bed did not hear music or bother by lights. Otherwise enjoying a kitchen and having coffee in am watching the sunrise was priceless! And the food at Nicks is really good plus they make mojotos!! The beach is so close that you can go back and forth and go to the bathroom or make lunch - loved the convenience!! And people watching from balcony was cool - felt very lucky to get to stay here!! Also the rooms were very clean!! (Side note you need to bring or buy beach towels and know the chairs and umbrellas on the beach charge $50 a day for 2 chairs and umbrella) but at least there is no extra tax or resort fee - however a parking fee 30/ day.

|4.54km from city centerMy Room AC was broken. It took 3 complaints and two different Maintenance attempts. Maintenance team was very nice and did what they could, but with no resolve. The hotel manager never introduced himself to me after three documented complaints, never apologized, and when I finally got a new room after demanding a new room, it was a nice maintenance man who delivered it to me instead of the manager. Poor hospitality and respect for hotel Guest let alone a Hilton honors guest.

|3.41km from city centerWe booked a room on September 12th through an online third-party service for three nights in Hollywood, Florida starting November 13th at Greniers Hotel. We received confirmation emails and brought our confirmation number with us for check-in. Our driver dropped us off at the address provided, along with our seven pieces of luggage, as we had just returned from a cruise. Three of these bags were nearly 50 lbs each. My husband went to find the office at this address, only to find out that the main office was a block and a half away. I stayed with our luggage on the side of the road to await his return. Fifteen minutes later, in the 90-degree weather, my husband returned, only to tell me that they didn’t have our reservation on file. Because we had already paid for this room online, we called the online booking agency to see what happened. They confirmed that we did have a reservation with this hotel, and we were there on the correct date. They provided us with a confirmation number, and my husband again walked 1-½ blocks to the office in the heat. I received a phone call from him several minutes later, telling me that the hotel STILL did not have our reservation, even with the provided booking number. We again called our online booking agency, who was at no fault, and they canceled our reservation and returned our deposit. Two hours later, and still sitting on the side of a street in Florida with all of our luggage, we made a reservation with a nearby hotel, The Flamingo, got a taxi, and were dropped off at a new location. To our dismay, we made a reservation with a “sister” hotel that used the same office as the first. However, the hotel received our reservation and payment, so we thought all was well. We learned that Greniers and The Flamingo are owned by Hollywood Beach Hotels. After checking in, we were shown to our room near the office. As soon as we opened the door, we were in shock. The drapes on the only window in the room were closed, and the room was dark and dingy. After opening the drapes, we understood why they were closed, as the window overlooked a sitting area where people were gathered, chatting, eating, smoking,etc. The room emitted a very strong and unpleasant smell of pine cleaner, yet the whole room was filthy. The front door was filthy, and had fingerprints, grime and dirt all the way down the inside edge. A sitting chair near the door was covered with what looked like vomit. The bed had no lamps next to it, but there was one main light overhead with a ceiling fan. The television hung awkwardly on the wall with cords hanging. The kitchenette was filthy, and had layers of dust on all of the walls. There was an air conditioner in the kitchen in the only window there, and it was blowing the dust in the room to the walls. There weren’t enough plug-ins in the kitchen, so they had added an extension cord and power outlet over the kitchen sink. This could prove very dangerous if you had an item plugged in

Valet parking must be paid in advance and cannot be posted directly to the room, which is very tricky. Housekeeping service is also average, everything is hasty. There was an iron in the room but no ironing board. I called the hotel waiter to pick it up and waited a long time. 35 dollars a day of resort fee can not enjoy anything. The only advantage of this hotel is that it is cheap and close to the beach.

|3.41km from city centerTHe manager must have realized at 71, my exasperation with traveling showed. He moved me into a ground floor unit. It was not a unit but an APARTMENT. A small porch, yard area with chaise lounge, a 500 foot walk to the boardwalk and beach. A kitchenette (long stay, bring some utensils) which was clean and tidy. Smart thinking, left the refrigerator door open (mildew stopped). Mattress GREAT. Nice breakfast, ample. Would I go again - - - oh yes! They own several buildings in a cluster, so pool swimming is shared. Atlantic was a tad brisk yet as I was just in from Jamaica where it warm. Great place for reading. Older crowd of 40+++ with a few twinks and tweens They have a small convenient store but I would strongly recommend that you stop at one of the large stores (WinDixie or WM) off the freeway and load up IF you are getting a kitchennete with your reservation. Might pick up or bring along a kettle, frying pan and whatever else you will need. Listen, don't complain about utensils. I have had rentals and guests would take the flooring if they could I had one guy take a toilet seat. Go figure. Enjoy. The beach is very close and 500 feet may not give you a front line view but it gives you peace and quiet because the walkway and beach and become quite noisey. Sorry no photos. OH, please realize that their rates are very reasonable. Want a view? Plan an extra $120 USD for it as well. Spend that saved on dinner and an extra day here.

Sonia, the front desk lady went out of her way to make sure things were great and even got me a room before the 3 pm check in time, which was great as I was recovering from slight food poisoning from eating a molded cheeeburger for dinnner the previous day. The place was very , very clean and well maintained! the swimming pool was wonderful! Everything in room was so clean and sanitized, including the romotes for tv and air conditioner. This is a great little hotel with wonderful , caring staff and I highly recommend it! I will tell my sisters, etc. about this hotel so they can stay here and they will love it too! also, very close to beach and boardwalk.

The location is also a plus, only a 10 minute drive from the airport. However, we arrived one day late due to change of our flights. We tried contacting the Hotel several months ahead of our arrival in two different ways, e-mail from their site and by responding to a message they sent in some system. No reply from either, and upon arrival when we asked they apparently don't read any of these. When we checked in we were informed that they would make a reservation on my credit card which would then be returned to us on checkout. It wasn't. According to their logs we had only paid half of our room, when we in fact had paid everything (and even higher rates than what they had in their system) in advance and they had just mixed something up, perhaps our booking with another booking. I'm still trying to get that 75 USD ”deposit” back, but no answer so far... Another disaster is the breakfast. We always book hotels with breakfast to get a good start of the day and don't have to look for food the first thing we do. The breakfast here, when served at all, is very, very limited and not worth the designation breakfast. The second day there was no breakfast served at all. We waited for an hour. They promised us compensation, but the card they had on file isn't ours, so I guess we'll never see that compensation either. The service mindedness of the staff varies a lot.

Maria at the front desk was super friendly and informative when in checked-in. 5 stars to her. Everyone else at the front desk was great too throughout my stay. When I walked into my room and saw the view of the ocean I was blown away at how beautiful it was. I spent hours upon hours of my stay watching the ocean, the beach, and the passers-by strolling along the boardwalk. The room had a kitchenette, dishes, utensils, etc., so I was able to bring food there and make many meals right at the room. I had read the reviews prior to booking the room so I was not expecting a 5-star hotel, which is completely fair because I was not paying 5-star prices. If you stay there, I recommend that you do not expect a 5-star hotel, but instead focus on the value of what you are getting for the price. In my opinion, what I got for the price was well worth it. I also found the ability to message back and forth through the secure email portal very helpful. :-)

The valet Parker’s were incredible as soon as we pulled up they had the scooter all put together and the heavy oxygen machine out of the car. It was amazing. We own side was the food for room service my chicken was very large and dry. But on the good news they didnt charge me for it they were very apologetic. Room was very clean overall great stay I would stay there again.

This was my second year in a row visiting, and already looking forward to a return trip. Highlights: -- The staff is outstanding! Everyone I interacted with seemed like their goal was to make your vacation -- Love the choice of three pools on site, each with their own pool bar/food options. Pool service was great! And if you get tired of the pool, the beach is just a few steps away, across the Broadwalk. -- Love the nightly music and the band shell! -- Great restaurant selections on site! You'd never have to leave the resort! If you do want to, the location is great! Walking distance to many bars and restaurants. So many great choices. In the two times I have been to Margaritaville, I have never had to rent a car. -- The rooms are great! Most of them on the front side of the building have great views of the beach and water. Two comfy adirondack chairs on the balcony to sit and watch the beach, ocean and Broadwalk. The only negative this trip was the weather. I was there during Ian, and the weather was dicey (to say the least). For two days, the pools were closed, as were a couple of the restaurants. I felt like the resort's staff and management did a great job of communicating storm updates, closures and safety precautions. I felt very safe. I hope to return again next year!

I didn't like having to leave a $100 deposit, a credit card scan should be enough. Luckily I have the money to cover it, but what if I didn't. The front desk person checked us in quickly and gave us our room. Unfortunately, we had some issues but the front desk manager handled them professionally and responsibly. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. There is a restaurant and outdoor pool on the premises. Room rates are reasonable.

|1.1km from city centerI tried to check in around 12:30/ 1 AM. The night clerk was unable to check me in because he had been kicked off the company website for going to undesirable web sites. After trying for about 20-30 minutes, he was able to check me in. All parking spots were taken so I went back to the office. I was told that I could park on the grass near the hotel. When I went back to my car, the next day, I had a parking ticket. For the three days of my stay I went to the office to complain about the ticket & get them to reduce the cost of my stay for the ticket cost. I also complained about being charged for the use of a room safe, which I did not ask for. i was always told that the Manager had to approve the credit but no one could ever reach him by phone. I was finally told that a credit was approved, paperwork had been forwarded and a credit to my charge card would show up in 5-7 days later. Three weeks after my stay I had not received a credit and called the office and spoke to the clerk on duty. H said he would check into to it and call me back which of course did not happen. As far as the amenities and the hotel room: the complementary breakfast was a joke; the bed in the room should have been thrown out years ago. Every time i went into the office, there was always someone complaining. The only positive about my hotel stay was that i was not robbed or attacked at the hotel.
