Stayed here for 2 nights in the comfort room. Nice and very cosy with sweet colors of the pillows. The room is pretty large and we had a lounge bed in there as well so you don't need to lay on the when you want to chill a bit. Bathroom is a bit small but has a good hot and cold shower. Also the shower area is small. The bathroom has everything you need so no shortage there. Safety box was present, together with a tv set. Just a nice room where you can relax after a long day of walking in the area. We enjoyed dinner in the hotel and picked the Braustube because it's that great atmosphere you find in most of these German places. Nothing fancy, good service and great food. Add some nice wine and of course the beers and you will have a nice night. Do make reservations because it can get very busy. Breakfast has a lot of choice so to start the day with a good breakfast is possible here. If there is a negative or something to remark it was the temperature in the room, just too hot and we couldn't find a way to turn it down so instead we had the window open.

Loved this hotel located 2-3 km from centre of Trier - quiet and away from busy-ness of city centre though easily accessible to all the main sites (by car or walking). Staff are very friendly and attentive and speak English. Outdoor terrace restaurant is beautiful and surrounded by a park and gardens. The only reason I give this hotel a “4” is because the rooms are dated and a little stuffy but still comfortable. The hotel is being renovated so I would recommend requesting an updated room. There is a spa on site. Hotel guests get free access to the sauna and steam rooms. A nice treat!

We were travelling from Burgundy and decided to go back via Luxembourg and Germany. We had visited Trier before and thought it was a lovely city, and chose ante porta Das Stadthotel. It was very clean and with nice decor. We were given a room on the front but decided it would be too noisy, so without any trouble they found us a room on the side. As this room was cheaper than the one we had booked they gave us a free breakfast. I cannot fault the care they gave us, and the breakfast was really good too. The staff were very helpful, and the location of the hotel was good for walking into the city near the Porta Negra. A good find.

Arrived at Trier by train from Luxembourg for our one night stay in the town. The hotel is about a 1000 yard walk from the station, straight out the station straight down the main road and the hotel is on the right: simple. The booking in was straight forward and the staff helpful enough and the Privilege room that we booked was both clean and tidy and had an excellent view over the Porta Nigra. (There's a supermarket just through the gates and on the left.) For some unknown reason Accor hotels only supply one bathrobe even though two persons are booked for the room, not that we ever use them just curious. The town has ample sights to see and its worth a walk to both former Roman bridges that cross the Mosel river here, although the original bridges were both destroyed in the war. Karl Marks house is not that far away nor is his statue and the Roman baths (now under repair) is worth the walk. The helpful staff at reception will supply you with a map. We did not dine at the hotel as we prefer to eat locally nor do we pass comment on the sleep quality as you either have good night sleep or you don't, can't blame the hotel: simple really. The town and the hotel was worth a one day stop overt. Good hotel, in a good location, with good staff and booked at a good price: what more do you want. Bon journey

The staff are great here - upon checkin the Manger helped contact Enterprise for our rental car pickup. This was so helpful. we chose the hotel to be close to the rental car. The hotel feels modern and room were a pretty good size. Only drawback is the hotel is far into town. We did walk it - took about 20 minutes one way. so good to get exercise, but a little far. but it is easy to navigate - down one street to Porta Nigra. The hotel was great for one night, but if you want to spend more time in old town Trier, this might be a bit far.

This is a mid size hotel that operates with the Professionalism, efficiency. and thoroughness of a grand hotel. The desk staff were uniformed and operate 24 hours a day and are helpful with any problem: directions, travel plans, tours etc... I loved the lobby holiday decor, free punch, and comfortable furnishings. The location of the hotel is in walking distance to all attractions. The Hotel Restaurant has excellent food at competitive prices. The room price was right at $485 dollars for 5 nights. The room was large and spacious. It was beautiful. They even had a vending machine in the hall that sold N?A Beer for 2 Euros. I appreciate the fact they don't have a "gotcha" attitude for items bought on premises. You don't find a Coffee pot in the room everywhere in Europe and its nice to have for hot drinks. I added Breakfast for $10US and it was worth the price. All sorts of Hot and Cold selections that included Bacon, Sausage, and fresh baked Christmas Stollen that was better than that found at the Christmas market. It was served in a NO-Rush restaurant setting that was spacious. I had a long stay (5 nights) and had one incident with extended stay contract workers who were returning to Poland and were up late doing the polka on my ceiling at 1am but I got the impression that this was an aberration from the norm here.

The wife and i stayed here for 2 nights. The desk staff grade A+ super friendly and helpful. Room was super clean. Free WIFI ... strong signal. Free parking (unusual in Germany). Free Breakfast..VERY unusual in Germany. In the evening we went to the lounge downstairs, sat in comfortable lounge chairs around the TV and were waited on but very friendly staff. These guys know what they're doing. The fruhstuck (breakfast) was pretty darn good for being free. i have to mention Jessica...only name i remember of the super friendly staff but the lady beside her and the other desk dude.....were over the top. They helped us get the best tour for the city and pointed to a good gasthaus for food. A+ all the way. will come here again if we ever re-visit.

We stayed there for two nights and made a great experience. First of all we enjoyed that there are plenty of parking slots which are included in hotel price. So when coming back at late evening from any excursion you don't have to worry about where to park your car AND no extra fee is charged. Make sure when making your reservation you have a car because you're up the hill and it's quite a distance to Trier center. But because of its location you have a stunning view from the rooms to Trier. We enjoyed that, day and night. The rooms could be more modern, but it was all clean, with tv, well working wifi, safe and your own bathroom. To darken the room there are curtains which is working well. Breakfast is noch included but can be booked separately for only 5€ per person and day. It is served in the restaurant which also has a beautiful view over Trier. Breakfast comes with plenty of options, you can choose whatever you want. Included are also hot drinks which is very pricey.

This is my second time at this hotel as it is right across a plaza from the ERA conference centre and convenient for conferences there. The building itself could be described to be in the "brutalist" style, but don't let that put you off. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to the centre of Trier town. It is close to the Roman Amphitheatre and the Kaiserthermen Roman Baths. The hotel is under new ownership/flag since i was last stayed - a Vienna House Hotel "Easy" brand and the lobby, bar, restaurant and breakfast area, not to mention the rooms have been thoroughly and tastefully updated since i was last here (it was previously an Arcadia Hotel which was a bit tired looking in 2015). The staff at the reception, bar and breakfast room were very friendly and helpful. I was there with my wife who enjoyed it and i stayed on for a conference - it seems to have a mix of ERA Conference attendees and coach tours. I would stay here again without hesitation. As mentioned, it is about a 15 min walk into town - so maybe not great for the less mobile.

This hotel was just an excellent experience, from making the booking all the way through check-in, the stay and departure. The rooms are of a reasonable size and clean. Also, everything actually worked. We have had good experiences at the Radisson Blue chain before but this hotel is exceptional. We booked on line and then spoke to Stephanie in advance to ensure we had chosen appropriate rooms. When we arrived, she was at the desk and actually remembered our conversation 3 weeks before. The entire staff could not have been more helpful. We chose breakfast included in the price. It was excellent. The food (buffet) varied slightly by day and was always replenished. It was well protected for Covid-19. One could also order from the menu. Parking is under the hotel with a door to the lift lobby from level -1. Departure and packing up the car is super easy. We had a suite and other members of our family had a standard room. The suite was immaculate with its own private terrace. It was a proper living room and bedroom set up, so we could spend time with the family without being on top of each other.

Spent an anniversary weekend here and it was incredible! Great hotel, wonderful, delicious restaurant, great town to sightsee. Took a side trip to Bernkastel Kues, a quaint castle town along the Mosel River, where we spent the day hiking up to the castle, having lunch and beers. After returning to Trier, we ate at the hotel Cellar Dining Room, an arched-ceilinged subfloor. The ambience was more than we could have hoped for. The food was delicious, the wine superb and the wait staff incredible.

It is a conveniently located good property. Though, the plan of the unit we stayed in could be a bit better. Good point - parking. One more thing that surprised - a requirement to pay 50 Euro cash deposit, though the room was fully paid.
