I've just return from a three day business trip from Kos.I choose MARITINA a nice cheap city hotel at the middle of town.We were a team of three persons and we reserve a nice room with three beds at the second floor at the backyard of the building(No 219).Nice decorated, good dimensions, with a nice flat tv a safe deposit box(without charge)and a mini refrigerator. At the lobby area there is a bar and also an internet corner .There is a small parking zone at the front of the hotel(the space is very limited only for three cars.Of course there is a small problem with the doors of the rooms. You must take care to close carefully. There a pool bar with a small pool at the upper floor of the hotel,Nice to have some relaxing time over there. The prices at the bar are logical. All the stuff are very helpful and polite. The breakfast area located next to lobby. It was nice but I expected more. There is free wifi at all the area of the hotel.I read some reviews about the A/C at the rooms but ours was functionalThe only negative was the small balcony and without view. Thanks a lot all the staff.

Stayed here last October with my partner. We had a modern room with a sea view and it was spacious enough for the two of us. The breakfast was our favorite part of the stay, really tasty and good variety, you could sit either inside or outside on the terrace watching the sea. The staff was helpful, special mention goes to the cleaning staff who greeted us with a huge smile every morning! The pool area was smaller than we expected and had shade almost the whole day but all in all we had a nice stay and would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a place in the town area.

We had exceptional service at Kos Aktis. Everything from the arrival at the hotel (including a personalised transfer by a staff member from the port to the hotel since we couldn’t get a cab), to the exceptional breakfast service and the outstanding receptionist help throughout our stay. Patmos Atkis could learn a lot from their sister Hotel Kos Atkis with regards to service!!!!

In regard to our stay at the Bristol Sea View Apartments from the 15th – 21st August, 2018, we would make the following comments; 1.For most of the time that we stayed at the apartment, there was no hot water, only during the evening for showering for a limited period of time due to the hot water being dependant on Solar Heating. During the day there was no hot water available at either the kitchen sink or in the bathroom basin. 2. The pool area was locked and inaccessible after 6.00pm. This rule would seem to be difficult to understand since the owners (ie reception) were due to be present until 9.00pm. 3. The Kitchen area was lacking basic essentials such as dishwashing liquid, brush and scourer. No Toaster or salad or serving bowls or dishes were available. 4. There was insufficient lighting in the bathroom, especially for shaving and putting on makeup. 5. There was no ceiling fan in the room to move the air on a hot day. 6. There were no Reading lights available. 7. The Safe, where valuables were stored, required a key to lock the safe. This situation was unsatisfactory since a duplicate key may have been available. 8.No Iron or ironing board was available. 9.In regard to the use of toilets in several of the units /apartments that we stayed in Greece, there was a metal sign in the toilet area stating that “ No paper must be placed in the toilet “. This request was quite alarming since toilet paper containing human faeces should only be placed in the toilet for health reasons. What we believe the sign should have stated was that “only toilet paper should be placed in the toilet”. Overall Rating: 5/10

Facilities The room: Very basic, functional. 2 beds, cabinet, TV and hair dryer. Dinning room: - Dinner: No beverages are served, even for water you have to pay (you can't bring your own). - Cats are everywhere in the island and the same goes for the dinning room. Cats are everywhere, walking between the tables, jumping on tables, eating from plates (people are feeding them!!!). Breakfast: Good variety of food Room cleanliness: Excellent Comfort: Not at all, the beds are very old and squeak on every move, the mattress is hard (we took the extra blankets and padded the bed), only two electric sockets located far from the bed (if you want to charge your cell or use your laptop). Location: Excellent Stuff: Most of them very friendly (especially in the reception) in the dinning room and the restaurant. Free WiFi: Good signal in the lobby, poor in the room (First floor just above the kitchen) Parking: Free TV Channels:Many, most of them in Greek or German. Very few in English. Value for money: Decent. Keep in mind the following: Local tax 3 euro per night, safe will cost you extra (almost 3 euro per night), mini bar usage as a fridge (5 euro per night), bottle of water for dinner 3.6 euro (beer \ wine will cost more...) * The mini bar charges are stated in the room on the mini bar menu, we were not told about this at the reception and we were not charged.

This place is amazing! There's a pool behind the building accessible from 9am to 8pm, the staff is super friendly! Giorgio, the owner, was always very ready and willing to give us extra advice about places, bus routes and trips around the islands. Also Auntie was super nice. The apartments are very well furnished, with electric cookers, all the necessary to cook from the first day (one pot, one frypan, various spoons, etc). Towels and bedwear are changed every day. Bike rental is literally two places to the right, the mini market is at two minutes walk and the super market at five minutes walk. The city center is about 10 minutes walk from Esperides. I would absolutely advice you to choose Esperides for your trip to Kos, do it now!

We chose for the hotel to collect us from the airport and we were glad we did, as our flight had been delayed by an hour and a half and it was almost midnight when we landed. Hotel was in a quiet part of town, but close enough to walk to the main area's. Our room was comfortable and breakfast was included. There was no choice of breakfast, but what they provided was adequate for our needs and better than expected.

Stayed three weeks in this lovely small family owned hotel. Location - perfect in the center of Kos town between two streets, close to the harbour. You could think that it is noisy due to the location in center but no. It was quiet. Room - was cleaned everyday. Bed and bathroom linens probably changed everyday. That's how I felt at least. Room was small but it had a good bed, air con, fridge, hair dryer. Bathroom though was quite small but I managed with it. Breakfast - it was good and had a lot of varieties. Service - everyone were really helpful. All questions were answered and issues solved. For example I needed laundry service and asked where is the closest laundry. I was asked to bring my clothes in a bag and they'll fix it. And they did, I got my clothes back clean. I can highly recommend this hotel for everyone. Please notice that there're quite many stairs but also an one person elevator. Thank you so much for everything during my stay.

We stayed here for a week and felt very much at home. The room was adequate, with a nice balcony and view of the sunset each evening. Kettle but no tea or coffee, which was a shame. The room was cleaned everyday which was fantastic. The bathroom was fine. The shower tended to flood as the drains were blocked, the shower curtain was also just annoying. Breakfast was fine. Very basic and little variety but it set one up for the day and was good value when considered. All the staff are very friendly and the hotel is situated in a great location just slightly out of the centre but within a few minutes walk of it.

First class hotel, friendly staff, exceptionally clean so top marks for housekeeping. Upgraded to sea view, which at £150 for 10 nights seemed quite steep plus hotel tax. Must say the view from our first floor room (134) was amazing as was the room itself with tea and coffee facility, very comfy gigantic bed and the maid was a really lovely lady. Enjoyed the breakfast, everything there that you need, and lovely to sit outside on the terrace and watch the world go by. Yannis who looked after the bar looked after us very well indeed, made some lovely friends there. Nice rooftop pool with plenty of sun beds, cafe up there was very good too, although the water was freezing. Went late season so wasn’t overly busy. Lovely walk around the harbour and plenty of restaurants to choose from. The Christina that you can find in the harbour is a fabulous boat trip with friendly staff, good food and lovely cocktails, not to be missed.

Was staying in this hotel because I was in town for business and oh my god I would’ve rather paying myself for a different hotel just to not stay here. The hotel is outdated and therefore does not look good, and just smells bad. But that was not the problem at all, The problem is that the staff was just rude (there were a few who were nice but all of the other were not helpful at all and there was one front desk lady who was just the worst.) Here are a few stories; •First when we arrived at the evening (9 ish) to check in we asked a breakfast to go for the day after because we were not able to attend the breakfast, the lady told us we can’t ask for that now and that we needed to call them until noon before we got there (while flying) because now there will be no one in the kitchen. (Wait does that means that they make the sandwich the morning before and just leave it there untill you take it the next day??) •at another time we did ask them the morning before but eventually my friend made it to breakfast on time so she didnt eat the take away (2pieces of bread with 1slice of ham, 1slice of cheese and 1slice of tomato, and an apple) and when she wanted to enter the breakfast she was told that it’s her problem that we asked a T/A and that they dont care she doesn’t eat cheese with ham and therefore didnt eat the sandwich and that we needed to tell them that in advance (I never got a sandwich as breakfast and I travel a lot for work. It’s usually ingredients and you can eat whatever you like) They just told her to leave and if she want breakfast she will need to pay for it again. •we wanted to go for a picnic and forgot to buy salt so we thought it will be okay to just ask a little bit of salt in a plastic cup. When saying this to the front desk lady she literally rolled her eyes, laughed at us mockingly and just called the kitchen and said something in greek. And then no eye contact, no OK, nothing. Just set back down and looked away so we went to the kitchen ourselves. •we were ordered a single room with double bad, so I asked to add one person to my room, (something that again I do a lot and usually they dont even charge extra, or just charge a few euros for breakfast if we want.) The lady told us it will be 25€ a night (the difference between a single room and a double with breakfast while booking is 8€ which is what we thought that we will need to add) We were told that without breakfast it will be 20€ (extra breakfast costs 10€ so why is the “discount” just 5?) ((FYI for this price and maybe a little extra you can [and should] take a new different room in a much nicer hotel)) •the pool is tiny and is in the middle of a room made of glass in the middle of the breakfast area, and it only has 2 chairs in there. I saw baby pools that were larger. •the hotel has no parking!!! It says they do but the “hotel parking” is just 6 places on the street with a small sign that says hotel, no one is in charge with that and the locals who live there

We spent almost 3 weeks at this hotel and cannot recommend it highly enough! As cliché as it is, it really is the staff that make this hotel so unforgettable! 4 start hotel (5 star infinity pool) with a 5 star service! We went for the premium room with the infinity pool/sea view which is definitely worth the extra cost. We were ‘working from home’ so wanted a nice view and also decent internet which we got. The infinity pool is the main feature of this hotel and its delivers on every front! Given the limited capacity of the lounge chairs overlooking the infinity pool, you will have to get up early (i got there at 7am) to secure your place and stay there until 9am (to comply with hotel policy, which is fair). The food was varied, but by far my favourite was the fresh daily grill and Greek desserts! Every staff from the security guard, house keeping and all servers always had a smile on their faces and said hello. I’d like to make the make a special mention to the following staff who we got to know during our stay: Pool bar: Aggeliki (The ultimate cool chick), Nico (spoilt us), Leonidas (his closing cocktail shakers were legendary!) Main restaurent; Maria (Lovely) and the Romanian waiter (sorry i forgot his name, but he was so good under a lot of pressure due to service required because of Covid) Bar: Gina (aways on the ready), Elena (best Mixologist!) and Adina (a smile that lights up the room!!!) Lastly, i have never seen a GM so hands-on in all aspects of the hotel! He was everywhere and actively working. We even saw him moving furniture and picking up cushions when it started to rain one day. Amazing hotel that clearly attracts talented staff! Please keep doing what you do! Looking forward to seeing you again next year! THANK YOU!

We booked this on the Tuesday and flew on the Saturday, for a much needed holiday of rest, sun and relaxation after working throughout the pandemic. The entire holiday did not disappoint. Most definitely a 4* resort. Cleanliness was absolute top all the way from reception to the pools to the gardens to the restaurant to the rooms. It literally shone clean. The staff throughout worked so hard, they were exceptionally friendly but professional and the crew in the restaurant worked morning and night and worked so hard, they were amazing. Thank you to every single one of them. The food at breakfast and dinner was buffet style (we were half board) and the choices to eat were very varied. All food was quality, well presented with loads of choice. In the evening you could eat different each night, likewise at breakfast there was that much choice from fresh fruit, yoghurts, smoothies, freshly made crepes, an array of cooked items, biscuits, cakes cheeses, and plenty of lovely coffee!!! The drinks were extra obviously with plenty of choices to drink at, pool bars, restaurant, beach bar etc. And again served very professionally, good prices and plenty of choices. Cocktails especially nice, and a good size serving of Greek mataxa if that's to your taste, as it was mine! The pool areas as beautiful, plenty of sunbeds, clean, and surrounded by the most lush gardens. The entire resort is very lush, very well kept beautiful gardens. Its stunning. The resort is on the beach, again which is lovely. We used the horizon surf centre just along the beach for kayaking and stand up paddle boarding, again good prices, professional friendly guys who ran it, with plenty of equipment to go round. The sea is so clear and was a good temperature for swimming in in October. The sun set over the sea, stunning skies from the beach and from our balcony. We had a garden view, but could actually see the sea as well. The view was stunning. The room plenty big enough for 2. It was 2 single beds pushed together which was a shame, but again they were plenty big enough. Plenty of wardrobe space, a fridge, a tv, and a good size bathroom with bath a good shower. House keeping every other day, changed towels, sheets and thoroughly cleaned. Only downside was no kettle so couldnt have a coffee on waking! Apart from that minor issue we could not fault this hotel. Plenty to do, stunning, clean, excellent service throughout, would highly recommend.

Seven friends and I showed up to Atacames for Carnaval with a larger group than expected, so 3 people from our group were ready to stay in Rio Atacames as we found it was one of the only hotels in the area with fair ratings. We show up and are greeted through a peep hole, and then do a short tour. After a brief inspection, we decide it looks clean enough to sleep in for a few nights so we decide to pay for a room up front in cash for all 4 nights. We come back later with our friends who will be staying there to drop off their bags, so the lady running the place takes us up to the room with towels and leaves them on the bed...which we then realize has bed bugs/eggs all over the pillows. When we bring that to her attention she rushes to a new room without a word and ushers us in there to inspect-no bed bugs are found- so she moves their bags and towels(now covered in bed bugs??). My friends are hesitant to stay there, but without a bed bug in sight they settle on staying there. Fast forward 5 hours: bedtime comes around and we head our separate ways. Once they arrived to the hotel, they checked the beds one more time-THANKFULLY-because low and behold there are more. bed. bugs. They leave and find a new hostel to spend the night before heading back to get a refund. THE REFUND WAS REFUSED. FOUR NIGHTS WORTH. The next thing I hear is that my friends had to get police and the owner of a major hotel involved to get even a partial refund (wouldn't refund us from the first night+deposit). The lady in charge and her partner stretched out the refund-paying over three days, with each day grew our frustration and their hostility: first day half in cash, the second day half in COINS which we had to count and got yelled at for questioning their counting abilities, and we came back a third day for $5.... Thankfully we have no intentions of returning to Atacames or to Rio Atacames.
