No complaints about this hotel. It’s modern and fairly new so may lack character for some people but we loved it. Visited during a Euro motorcycle trip and were glad of the air conditioning in the room as temperatures were up as high as 39c. Air conditioning only went as low as 20c and could have done with going 1 or 2 lower. Secure parking for the motorcycle and a great Thai restaurant on the ground floor. Location is kind of in an industrial estate but I’d still recommend it. It was good value for money for Switzerland and there’s as Lidl nearby for cheap drinks / food if needed !!

Positives: The welcome from the incredibly friendly receptionist was warm. She speaks at least 4 languages and remained calm and patient with the guy ahead of us who had questions about every single thing. She was charming and checked us in with no issues. The receptionist on check out was also very friendly and warm. The room was large, light and comfortable. Simply furnished but clean as a new pin. Comfy bed too. And large. I had a Garden room. The breakfast was simple but tasty fair and they had free Coffee, tea and snacks available in the restaurant 24x7. Just help yourself. The receptionist also showed us how to let ourselves back in as the lobby is unmanned between 10pm and 6am but there’s an emergency phone if you need anything. The less great things: Do not. Under any circumstances. Book a garden room. They are right around the breakfast restaurant and the doors have gaps all around, nowhere near sound proofed. I was woken at 6.04am as someone rang a bell in the restaurant. Then of course the cups and glasses and plates are put out and people start coming for breakfast. It’s not a restful situation. I told the receptionist on check out who was super apologetic but had I been upstairs in a different room it would not have been a problem. I would stay again if in town but would refuse to have a ground floor room. Important bits for business travel. They have free Wi-fi. The rooms have hairdryers and plenty of power points and a desk. No safe in the room for your laptop. But it is Switzerland so I felt safe leaving it :-) The showers have shower gel/shampoo. And one towel each. The bed was huge and very comfy. And the gummy bear sweets were a little, but nice touch.

There is no reception physicaly, a computer is in an italian restaurant with a very poor service. I had to wait 2 hours to get my room keys because "only the boss can do that" and he was out. No good service at the restaurant nether during my wait. Then I've had a room without bathroom, but I've never been told at the booking of that matter. My room was in first floor, the shower was in the third floor, in the toilets used by the personal as well and very old styled such as part of the smalest bedroom I've ever hab in a"Hotel". The Hotel ist very noisi at night because of very thin walls. No breakfast available at all (this is too complicated said the guy at reception).

The overall quality of Swiss hotels is really high, with details in place everywhere. The same is true of this hotel. The handsome guy at the front desk is really super enthusiastic. He will say hello every time he meets, and explain how to play the Matterhorn route when he checks in. The breakfast husband said that it was the fullest day in Europe. There are boiled eggs and fried eggs. Fried eggs are not salty and rare, and there are small cakes. This salmon is super fresh and has a lot of fruit. The best thing is that the juice is freshly squeezed, squeezed by yourself, and there is a special machine for pressing fruits. The room was clean, the bed was large and comfortable. The balcony is also nice and you can see the street view. By the way, there are minibars in the room, all of them are free. This is awesome. There are beer and various drinks in it. Seems like 6 bottles. The coffee in the coffee machine is also very good, but I didn't drink it. The hotel has a free mini bus, the front desk said it would take us, but it was useless and I wanted to go around by myself. Very pleasant stay, recommend everyone. The price is not cheap or expensive, around 1500 a night.

Had to transfer unexpectedly from Sunstar Saas Fee to Zermatt. While I am grateful for the transfer they arranged, I must say there seems to be big differences between Sunstar properties. The location in Zermatt is very convenient. Short walk to town or to Sunnega lift station, and there’s a bus stop just outside the ski room to get to the Matterhorn lifts. The ski room is fine but does not have individual storage for guests. The restaurant was only open for breakfast. The buffet was fine, though a notch down from the one in Saas Fee in terms of offering. I did find the room quite small and rather interesting configuration. Obviously, the sight in Zermatt is Matterhorn. The bed is arranged so you get a direct view of the Matterhorn. This results in decent amount of “dead space” in the room that is small to begin with. The shower and the sink are in the room, so if you are used to having bathroom privacy… In my friends’ room the toilet was right behind the headboard of the bed. Apparently not lot of noise insulation. I would note I woke up both mornings earlier than planned when the next-door room turned on the shower. As a single traveler the room was fine for few nights. I would think that two people with all the ski gear it may start feeling quite tight. I have stayed at numerous other four-star properties in Zermatt over the years. I just don’t think Sunstar measures up.

Fleurs De Zermatt is a very nice hotel with very high tech and mountain motiff rooms. Plenty of storage and lighting was motion activated. Great bathrooms with heated floor and large bathtub. Bath robes too...comfy beds and wonderful buffet breakfast each day. This hotel is very quiet and close to train station - but far enough away so it was very quiet...staff is very friendly and helpful. This hotel is CLEAN! No drinks or food except water and an espresso maker in the room. We liked that unique rule, the rooms are very clean and finishes very nice. Hotel not over crowded, perfect for couples...not a lot of kids which was very nice. Booked through our great travel agent, Vapiano Travel...check them out.

The family room we stayed in was very good. We could also cook, have more balconies, and enjoy the cool and scenic view. The hotel is very close to the train station, but the location is very quiet, there is a supermarket diagonally opposite, shopping is convenient. The owner of the hotel is warm and generous. There is a large bowl of apples at the front desk. Guests can take it at will and watch our 4 adults bring a baby. They are afraid of being squeezed and send us a room for free. The hotel’s own thermal pool and sauna are also great, and the pool is also a bubble bath.

We just came back from our first Switzerland ski trip. This hotel is centrally situated on the bus route. A 5-min walk to bus if you want to go to Matterhorn side, and 10-15 min walk to the cog rail/lift if you want ski Rothorn. Also it is a 5-10 min walk to the center of the village and the train station. We love the location because it is close to everything but quiet at night. Rooms are clean and new. Breakfast buffet is awesome! You have to try the restaurant in the first floor. Their “flame” cooking in front of you is really a cool experience. They have a lot of chocolate for their guests as well - decent Swiss chocolate! The wellness center which has jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna which is a must-go after a long day ski. If we ever go back to Zermatt, we will definitely stay at this hotel again. We left our luggage at the hotel on the day of leaving, and my husband was still skiing one hour before the train departed. That sounded crazy but the ski rental store (Matterhorn Sports) right across the hotel was so efficient and made this happen.

Hotel is very conveniently located, just about 150 meters from the Zermatt train station, and the Gornegrat station. It is right on the main street, close to ***y shops and restaurants. Coop supermarket is available in the mall opposite the train station. Room size is not large, but adequate, and beds are quite comfortable. Amenities like toothbrush, toothpaste and water flask are not provided, but slippers and mineral waters are available. Restaurant at the ground floor is quite well decorated. Breakfast has adequate varieties, but should not expect the same as the hotels in mainland China. Special compliment to a the elderly gentlemen at the reception, who was very kind and friendly during the stay, and personally led me to find the Chinese restaurant just nearby, and even show the way to taking the Glacier Express train.

Couldn’t have been more impressed with this place. Went to Zermatt on a whim and was lucky enough to stay here. The staff was incredibly kind and above and beyond with accommodations. The rooms are spacious and well designed. The bed was super comfortable. The views of the Mountian are amazing. The lodge is centrally located and just a short walk to the village and Harry’s Bar. You can easily walk to the gondola or the bus stop. This is hands down my first option for lodging and I won’t come back to Zermatt unless I can stay here.

From our pickup at the train station to the great room and swiss styling to the friendly staff and owner. All was fantastic! We were on Half board so we had a great breakfast and dinner there. We had the same server and table for each night which made it seem like we were "regulars" Our server gave us some tips on places to hike. At breakfast we mentioned that we were going on a early hike the next morning and they wrapped up some meat and cheese that we were able to take with us!

The host and her husband could not make you feel more welcome. Very friendly and happy to answer any questions. Hotel Simi is in a great location, maybe a 5 minutes walk from the train and right along all the restaurants and shops in Zermatt. This is very helpful being able to walk around the whole city since there is no car transportation. The rooms are cozy and the bathrooms are spacious. The front lobby has a relaxing fireplace and couch area to hang out. Breakfast was filling with plenty to pick from. And pack your swimsuit because the spa is great. There is a hot tub and dry and wet sauna downstairs. I was lucky enough to be the only person that wanted to use it that nice. It is a very relaxing space.

The hotel is in a good location, opposite the train station, and there is a red line in the town and a green line bus. The hotel belongs to the self-service hostel hostel, which has a large kitchen and dining room. The kitchen utensils are very complete, and the pots and pans are connected to the rice cooker. Because Swiss prices are really expensive, we are all eating food in the kitchen by COOP. Many of the guests who have stayed here for a few days are buying ingredients in a box and affixing their names. I really like this kind of hostel. Friends from all corners of the country gather here to be self-sufficient. Use the endless ingredients to stay there for the people you need.
